#6 We had three female hamsters when I was a girl. They lived together in a pet shop-recommended ten gallon fish tank. Cute little things, but they would fight so viciously that whoever picked them up to pull apart the shrieking ball’o hamster would get bitten and disemboweled hands as well. Daddy’s lab rats, mice, and guinea pigs never acted like that, so when the things finally died after three years we got a guinea pig next.

#7 Hamsters spend 27 hrs a day trying to escape the comfortable life with water, food, safety, toy wheels, and clean bedding. Their dedication is superbly annoying but impressive :-)
