What if they simply made the restrictions the same as what is required to join the Military, where they would be trained to use many firearms?

OH! that's right, US Minimum Age is: 17 years old (with parental consent).

So why is it ok with DC Liberals, for teens working for the US Government to carry firearms as young as 17, but Private Citizens have to wait 3 to 4 years longer for a pistol purchase?

Isn't this a double standard and violation of the 2nd Amendment?

#2 You can be tried as an adult when you are 18 (sometimes earlier) but you have to be 21 to buy a beer or ciggies.

Consistency is not considered a necessary feature.
