#1

Maybe Trump does not need more $$$$ than DeSantis?

Note:
With Trump only allowed to hold office 1 more term.
DeSantis taking an initial VP slot on a Trump/DeSantis Admin can be seen as a win win. Since, VP's are already in a better position of running and winning over challengers. This would then allow 12 years of sanity and morality in the WH.

#2 ^ Agreed. I just wish it didn't involve Florida giving up two more years of DeSantis as governor.

#3 A Trump/DeSantis arrangement would be nice if the former can then focus on the economy and the latter be let loose to gut Deep State. That would provide DeSantis better stability when he does take the office.

#4 My biggest problem with Trump redux is I have no expectation that he would do any better than last time in surrounding himself with backstabbers and saboteurs.

#5 /\ He's got to take the recruitment program on 'the road' and out of the beltway. The beltway is a 'backstabbers and saboteurs' incubator.

#6 ^ There is that. In a second term, he would not be an "outsider" (though, still, ironically, he would remain the ultimate outsider) so he would not be under any pressure to recruit beltway creatures to give his administration "credibility."

#7 I really like Trump and voted for him twice.

But I am concerned about the sheer numbers of foaming-at-the-mouth Trump haters who give any opponent a fairly large base to work from.

Granted the Democrats will demonize anyone the Republicans nominate, but someone else will at least start behind a much smaller 8 ball.
