The US is the only country recommending vax down to 6 months old. Biden bragged about this. Reports are that a number of CDC, NIH and HHS scientists were opposed to this.

However, there isn't much doubt that people over 50 have a substantial net benefit from the vax.

Somewhere between 6 months and 50 years old is where the net benefits become less that the bad effects. We won't have a really good handle on this for many years.
