#6 Isn't this the ultimate he-said/she-said? Both sides have means, motive, and opportunity. Nation states are ruthless and as badanov said earlier in the conflict, neither party is on the side of the angels.

Both sides claim to have evidence. The Ukrainian state security service has recorded intercepts of the Russians plotting the crime - something you could fake in 5 minutes. The Russians have photographs of HIMARS parts amongst the wreckage - pix that could have been taken at a number of existing sites. (Hey, remember that HIMARS system the Rus allegedly bought?) Sadly, we live in an age when 'evidence' is no longer evidence.

One anomalous data point is that the US Pentagon said the Ukrainians did not mean to do it.
