These murders are a direct result of Chicago corruption. What a shame no one has the guts to take it on.

#14 Murcek, what other urban areas? Peoria isn't that bad, Quad Cities isn't that bad. East St. Louis is as bad, but it's primarily a St. Louis problem. Champaign-Urbana, Normal -- do they count as urban?

Illinois is a state effectively run by a single urban region, and down-state doesn't have the political power to reign-in Chicagoland.

#16 Chicago, where have I seen that pedigree in the biography of a major political figure and his mentor? Its just on the tip of my tongue, and it is certain that it involved "community organizing" at the grass-roots, street level where this kind of corruption flourishes.
