Putting the two modern "innovations" on elections together in Alaska produced this absurd result, in which Republicans lost a House seat despite getting 60% of the vote.

#2 How is it absurd? The two pubs split the 60% and the dem took the other 40%. If that's how the election is run, that's a consistent mathematical result. It's what happens when the party has no discipline. Begich III comes from a line of democrats and I'd imagine he is running as GOP either as a spoiler or as the sort of pub many Alaskans seem to want.

#8 Murkowski supported the change. It could result in her reelection. This was a special election for a term that will end in January. I don't think that it helps Murkowski for this to happen in an election that means absolutely nothing. Installing another Pelosi Pawn for four months has zero effect. Alaskan Republicans now have an understanding of the scam and can game it out for November, if they want to punish the scammers.

#14 Republicans should have been hammering election reform into all 50 states in the aftermath of 2020. I've heard they are in some areas, but it should have been a contract for America type deal everyone knew about and put politicians on record if they vote against it.
