#1 Kind Gesture Your Majesty, Charles III, considering you lost your mother; You, Sir, are taking up the reins of power, very kindly... good show, good show... very much welcome by your people.

Chancy move, considering ANTI-FA, and Radical Islam overflowing in the London streets. Plus UK being the 7th out of 230 nations for highest C-19/22 infections.

#4 I imagine Machiavelli would say that a King who is afraid to walk the streets of his own kingdom is no king at all.

True; though the Medici might have counter-arguments.

I am glad to see the handshake back. Imagine him out there doing that chicken wing every world leader was trying to make vogue...wait, just a year ago?

#7 Well done and truly a royal move on his part. I was surprised and impressed with his statement to the effect his new role would have him step back from his charitable work, or the environmental lunacy he has pursued. He may have more of herself than I credited him.

#8 Make no mistake. He is not out among the randoms.

#9 A bit of time will be needed to change my opinion of Chuck. His mother kept him on a short tether for decades, lets see if it stuck. Six month from now he will either be impressive or baying at the Climate Change Moon like the dingbat loon I thought he was.

Hopefully Wills has the influence to tone his dad down and keep the Ginger Idiot and his D-List Wife far from anything Royal/ She already smells spotlights again....

In this article:

Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II
Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand

George VI
King of the United Kingdom from 1936 to 1952, Emperor of India from 1936 to 1948 (1895-1952)

Charles III
Charles III
King of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms

Charles I of England
Monarch of the three kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland (1600-1649)

Oliver Cromwell
English military and political leader (1599–1658)

LONDON (AP) — Britain’s new monarch is named King Charles III — but that was not inevitable.

Charles Philip Arthur George could have chosen another royal name when he took the throne after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday. "

IIRC, legend has it that when Britain again has a King Arthur, that would signify either the end of Britain, or the end of the world. So be grateful for small favors.

#11 Sorry for garbling my comment. Just wanted to list all the names given to Charles III at his beginnings, any one of which could have been his regnal name.
