I have asked my friends who are reformed Yankees (aka transplants). If Racial issues have been resolved up North, as we constantly hear and read in the media.

Why are so many Yankee's moving South to Conservative States?

The answers I get vary a little, but many seem to focus around:
BETTER living conditions, opportunities, less racism, lower cost of living, political, moral & social sensibility, safety, and just plain elbow room.

#10 No one can afford to move there. People can leave for a red state and make 30% less in wages but will still be able to buy a house and live an equivalent lifestyle to having received a 20% pay raise.

Out of the folks that stay, it does not demographically help for them to abort half their babies.
