A few What if's:

What if the CCP started using the Balloons as a BIO Disbursal vehicle?

A Political S.I.G, Radicals, or just pranksters, started launching Internet purchased lab balloons ?

What if this is just another Staged Political, Media/Public Deflection event? To focus attention away from the BIDEN-CCP connection to classified documents?

Even if #3 is correct, Biden's handlers might seize the opportunity to make it look like he's getting tough on China, then add some UFOs into the mix that the CCP doesn't even know about to make it look like he's really, really tough.

#7 /\ Could be a combination. Joysticking known points and low-level altitudes via Full Motion Video, and flying it to target locations. Again, in the absence of sat or GPS guidance.

Man-in-the-loop could be an anti-jamming or dynamic re-tasking assist. Vectoring successive sorties via observable burning cities, not a new technique.

I am not an aviator. Just a wild guess, emphasis on wild.
