#4 Given the crime and the filth at homeless encampments, government-furnished housing is better for both the homeless and the responsible citizenry around them. Better still would be treating the mad, addicted, and ill, and finding the employable employment. It is no kindness to leave anyone at the mercy of wind, weather, and the vicious, no matter how much they might prefer that freedom.
