#1 So, why would anyone put their trust into an IC made by a country that is a possible combatant.

Besides, NOTHING you touch with an IC in it should be trusted.
When a typical processor IC has 100++ million transistors, 100,000 plus process routes and instructions built-in to it. All of which the Public and governments are not privileged to. Then add IC vendors are also playing with installing A.I. into their chips.

Trust is not high on the feature list.
