#1 In my neck of the woods, the city of Quincy MA is hosting a 'Pride Festival" this weekend, complete with a drag show. I'm tempted to launch some fireworks in their general direction; let's put it to a Rantburg vote!

#3 ...For God's sake, Nellis is a 20 minute drive from the Vegas Strip - you want to see drag, go the hell downtown.

And it's my understanding that - at least in this particular instance - SecDef looked a Congressional committee dead in the eye and said it wasn't happening...and was then shown proof that it was. No better way to get things stopped PDQ than to embarrass a Cabinet secretary.

#5 I am surprised that a drag show is an advertised special occasion in this DOD. For them I thought the most usual name for a drag show was Monday.

The Nellis base has been hosting drag events since its historic "Drag-u-Nellis" show in June 2021.

#9 Unless I have confirmed proof that the Nellis CO has been assigned to a 5-year mandated accompanied tour to Incirlik, I don't buy any Pentagon acts of dismay other than "Oh Sh*t, we got caught!"
