#1 It has been claimed that Wagner is supporting the military rebels in the Sudan and is guarding its gold mining operations. While Wagner is a mercenary operation the claim is very curious as most gold mining is occurring east of the great bend in the Nile in northern Sudan, and the region has been territory controlled by the Khartoum government. Supposing this is true, the Army controls a single egress, from Khartoum and thence to Port Sudan. Cut that artery and the military (and Khartoum) can be starved. It may already be happening and could account for the large number of Sudanese fleeing Khartoum.
