#7 I don’t like Ben and Jerry. I don’t buy their products, but in this case I agree with them. I run into similar situations with the ultimate blind pig AOC. Every once in a while she says something true. My favorites are when her random truth shart undercuts all her other baloney.

#8 The “No publicity is bad publicity” school of marketing. Also very on-brand — the company has a foundation for backing Progressive causes, the continued backing of which was included in the contract when the company was sold to Unilever in 2000. Unilever has had increasing cause to regret what seemed at the time to be a harmless brand differentiator.

#10 Ben & Jerry's, pfui! I worked at a dairy plant in the ice cream freezer and tasted most of their products --- they were pints that got "squashed" in shipping and were unsellable so why not? (Many were also put in the employee breakroom's fridge for the other employees to sample...)

Anyway... Most cities have some local ice cream producer that sells products just as tasty in the premium and ultra-premium grades. So why buy B&J's overpriced, overhyped crap?
