❗Found a Russian MI-8 helicopter and its crew, which disappeared a couple of weeks ago.
It was a special operation by the GUR to lure out our pilot.

According to the GUR:
The pilot (he is also the commander) was recruited, and his family was taken to Ukraine.

Together with him were two more pilots who did not know about the plans of the commander.

After he landed the helicopter at the airfield near the village of Poltava, Kharkov region, his partners were shot...

It is reported that the aircraft flew between two air bases and transported parts to the Su-27 and Su-30 cm fighters.

These parts also now went to the Ukrainian side.

According to Russian military correspondents:

Our military correspondents are divided into two camps.

Some say that the pilot allegedly got lost and accidentally landed on the Ukrainian side.

And others say that our helicopter got lost and was shot down.

#2 Not the first "Russian" to defect via aircraft. I saw a report that the GPS failed and they landed at a base they thought was friendly. But if a Ukrainian was flying it, the comment by badanov makes a hell of a lot of sense.
