#3 It would not surprise me one bit if the massive Russian offensive on Avdievka was timed in coordination with the Iran/Hezbollah/Hamas attack on Israel so that the west wouldn't react as quickly for the Ukrainians.

And the satellites were pointed elsewhere and wouldn't detect a rapid buildup of forces.
