#1 Russian forces massively deployed northern, eastern and southern sides of Avdiivka. Then air, artillery bombardment from the west.This area has been fought over since WW11 and earlier. Reminds me of "Stepan Bandera led Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which fought alongside Nazi Germany during WWII, killing thousands of Jews and Poles." Heavy activity in Kiev and Avdiivka areas. Germans wanted more territory to grow German population while Bandera's moped up areas.
