#1 Florida is currently experiencing a 50-year crime low. Overall crime is down nearly 10% year-over-year; murder is down 14%; burglary is down 15%; robbery is down 17%.

As the ute said the other day, we spend our money and party in Florida but only commit the crimes in NY.

#2 It's a dumb idea to do crime in most of Florida. The law will catch up with you and you will go to jail. A few locales like Miami-Dade and Hillsborough County (Tampa) are "know where you are and where you should not be" type places, but for the most part it's very safe here.
