#1 Current western thought promotes action from Russia. I believe Russia will drive to the Polish border to establish buffer for Russia. The military of border countries are nothing compared to the Russian highly trained forces (combat hardened). Clinging to the old USSR days are long past. Should there be a successful assassination on Putin occur all events will change. New leadership in Russia will be far more aggressive. Putin has managed things very well. Shows no interest in expanding into NATO bordering countries. The west has been the most under skilled in their efforts.
