Well, they'd have more, but Starfleet spent six years redesigning the follow-up Constellation class instead of building them.

#9 Well, they'd have more, but Starfleet spent six years redesigning the follow-up Constellation class instead of building them.

The problem was one day, they wanted portholes, and another, they wanted them removed.

Then they did battle damage simulation, and they had water coming out of the Warp Drive, and sand out of the Photon Torpedoes.

But the real issue was they had Commanders who wanted to be Captains, Captains who wanted to be Commodores, and Commodores who wanted to be Admirals.
