#1 I made the mistake of driving into a dust storm on I-10 in 1967. I wondered why all the other drivers in my lane parked on the shoulder. 15 minutes later I was out of the dust and discovered the car's windshield had been sand blasted and the leading edge of the hood had its paint removed to the bare metal. Live & learn.
