Speaking to LBCI at the end of her three-day trip, she emphasized that Lebanese forces must carry out the task.

Ortagus met with key leaders, including President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

''Israel won't tolerate attacks from Hezbollah, and we understand that position,'' she stated.

She reaffirmed US support for full implementation of the cessation of hostilities agreement, saying disarming militias is a critical part.

When asked about timing, she replied, ''As soon as possible.''
