Why The Jews? Caroline Glick Explains The Roots Of Genocidal Jew Hatred
14:51 minute video. Interesting that she feels so strongly about the Left...

And for the Muslims, once Mohammed was permitted to wipe out the Jews, though they were fellow People of the Book, permission to eradicate the Christians flowed naturally.

-Land of the Free
On Cliven Bundy and holding the line against tyranny
By Chris Covert
Rantburg.com

It appears that Cliven Bundy's remarks were misreported and the video presenting them had been selectively edited. A number of "conservatives" had bolted, dropping their vocal support for Patriots now deployed in the desert in Nevada , chiefly among them were the writers at hotair.com, and probably a number of others, saying his remarks were "beyond the pale". All because of spurious charges of racism against the central character in the story, Cliven Bundy.

This reminds me of 2005 when a number of individuals I had previously considered "conservative" broke for the other side just after Dubya's ugly 2004 presidential win and just before the left's victories in taking over Congress. I said then, and I am saying now that target discrimination is a critical factor in building opposition against the left, and so when people bolt for the other side, they become the enemy.

I unfriended a Dallas attorney, who was posing as a conservative today because of this very issue, because he bolted the line before the actual data had become clear. That is what government and the left does. They shattered the line and then sit back to watch the whole thing collapse. Just like in 2006.

I remember it clearly since I witnessed a number of allies accuse me and a number of others of misogyny for opposing Dubya's putative appointment to SCOTUS of Harrient Miers. I said at the time she was an unknown in the legal field and that the nomination should be withdrawn. By the time it was, a number of others had continued to level charges against like minded people, when in fact the reason for opposition had nothing to do with Miers' gender.

That was a time when I used to march to the polls to vote republican because of the issue of the Constitution and nominating justices to the bench; before I saw SCOTUS destroy the last mantles of its legitimacy in ruling by the Constitution.

The damage was done. I stopped visiting sites of those "conservatives" regarding them as unreliable, unable to hold the line even in the face of mounting opposition from the left. Narcissism doesn't just affect the left, but those who hold the larger megaphones on the right.

It is no mistake that those who did break today do not know how to determine when an enemy had shot his bolt, as the government did in Nevada two weeks ago. They reacted to fear, just the way the left and those in governmental power expected them to. For whatever reason, personal power, hope to be included in government, etc. Whatever their reasons, they did us a disservice and that service to us will not be forgotten.

If there comes a time when those people, now enemies, come to their senses, they will do so of their own accord and without my approval, when they realize that life and liberty are at stake, our lives and liberty. There won't be any fat jobs, or money or personal aggrandizement awaiting them if Patriots win, but just the simple knowledge that they finally decided to oppose tyranny and commit resources, personal and otherwise to that end.

#1  *This was posted (in part) yesterday but late. Because you know, work and family. I would like to point out a couple things: first - his neighbors showed up pretty damn quick, that doesn't happen in ranching country without good reason. His neighbors have had 20 years to think about this - they drink coffee one sip at a time like everyone else. Second - none of the BLM movements had anything to do with a financial disagreement. I would hope, other than rogue middle staff managers, that deploying these sort of kit would require somebody signing off on helicopters, cow pens, outside contractors? Third, the people who showed up afterwards knew damn well that the purpose of cowboy on a horse is to be a high profile, its actually the main job; people who use a rifle to protect their living know what a profile is and they were sitting tall in the saddle. To Jack Burton yourself out in front of a firing squad with legal authority to shoot you down without agreement of your personal beliefs and your family is balls out; that is, not lightly. That said, cool heads. Fun exercise:

Look at the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Looking solely at crowd behavior, how would you qualify these crowds gathered in recent pop culture history and their behavior: Occupy Movement, Tea Party Movement, Bundy Ranch, BLM Mission. Not the fight scenes, the behavior.

But since this is a nation of laws instead of men, right, what is the legal justification of an action based upon unpaid debt for destroying the very value in contention? On the other side, what would be Nevada's law on squatting rights especially compared to Florida or California?

80 year old rancher speaking in Middle American has a problem with a culture based on not working. Go work a 5 to 9 in the desert, probably with some caballeros at times, get home grab an iced tea turn on the tube and get...Rachel Jeantel.

I'll play advocate, and I don't agree with statements like this any more than I agree all white people sit in run down houses and do meth, or all Mexicans pack full trailor homes and drink tequila, etc. Slaves don't have opportunity, all those groups there and there is a word for every ethnicity who chooses, on their own, to make a living by being not successful, taking money to not work. That's not just a Black problem today, it is an American problem.

But none of that is the point. The point is what is the law and what is an acceptable way to enforce it. These land grabs happen all over flyover country, glad its getting attention, sorry this fellow said something not 21st century, eat a dick Reid.

I was mad that all that tax money I had to send in, what would be my entire grocery bill for this year, would go to one plate for one guest at the White House, or 5 minutes of fuel on a trip to China. Now, did that money go to buy the kit the Feds are using to take my neighbors' property? Look at it like that, and that the government keeps proving the consiracy kooks correct, maybe that helps.

#4  I don't know when the assault on the Bundy "compound" will take place, but it will undoubtedly happen in the very late evening hours on a Friday, and may be set to coincide with a Russian move into the Ukraine. One totalitarian, property and land grabbing assault masking another.

If I were Cliven Bundy, I'd be sleeping elsewhere.

#6  Oh Absolutely 49. And don't think the Clan of the Horse hasn't noticed either; horse people are horse people.

Mr. Bundy is too Rancher and too Old to sleep anywhere else, which is the catalyst to why this is even a story. The story is how much support he received so quickly. Those who showed up must either support his reasoning or know they are the next pens on the bowling alley. Or both.

And its a great point. Where is the Great Rally for the horsemen of New York? Its the destruction of their icon, what will it take, a 10' wall around Central Park with armed guards to keep the people out because of the Lesser Grouse?

#9  Even if Bundy is/was the most racist asshole that ever walked the planet, the point was the BLM acting in a militarized matter to settle a legal dispute and who ordered it and what those in charge would profit.

Of course the left drummed up something that makes Bundy look bad. They know the "conservatives" in power have the spine of a chocolate eclair and would run at the first sign of defeat.

#11  Thanks Badanov. "Media trained"... I love that term of reference.

While I deeply respect and admire Krauthammer, I was very disappointed in comments yesterday, ref Bundy's negro rant. I was only slightly less disappointed in Chapter 12 of this book, The Jewish Question Again, pages 241-258. I suppose such pontifications and writings are mandatory if one is fully 'media trained' and aware.

#12  Thanks for the write-up badanov. That was disgusting, like they were looking for a reason to dump the story they had been covering with breathless anticipation. Broke and ran.

Up now at HA is the story of the squatter in Florida, want to join up with the crowd to use intimidation to help a family which has no legal leg to stand on but is really the victim of government policy. Same effn' thing, not as dramatic as federal troops almost gunning down US Citizens and being denounced by the leader of the Senate as domestic terrorists, but hey yeah vets he's got your back...until the NYT runs a hit piece on how conservatives love the idea of using ex-military units to round-up the poor and edits a video so a participant apparently does a seig heil.

Hannity, didn't catch that, but seesh just the other week he was coming down from the mountain to check out the Bundy situation boots on the ground. Easier to stay in the AC and trust the NYT then travel through north Las Vegas, which is not The Stratosphere Tower, and give a yea or nea whether people are just hanging around the government reservation all day and if generational unemployment, not having any trade skills, is a problem in the area.

#13  I have an image of New York Times Journalists sitting around a video editing machine chuckling to themselves thinking 'Oh this is going to make this private citizen look so bad!'...
That image should be hung around each and every journalist's neck as a banner of their profession and 'paper of record' until they clean up their own house.
Journalists are liars.
Journalists are slanderers.
Journalists are the scum of the earth.

#14  Life is now a popularity contest.

Its about image, not the constitution. The media and the courts have caved. Court orders these days are as unconstitutional as the media.

No nation is a rock. Only 80 years after constitution was written half the states were at war with the other half of the states. No people are immune from the war of good vs evil.

Pick your side and like marriage, your side even in sickness and in health, during controversy and non controversy, fight for it.

Black clouds over Ukraine
h/t Gates of Vienna
In earlier postings, I have speculated on what a bailout by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would be Ukraine's economy and people. But the situation has deteriorated and getting to the problems associated with the IMF is a long shot.
Right now, the Kiyv government and the West nations are wondering about Russia's intentions. And beyond that, could Russia's intentions have "unleashed" tensions internally that cannot be controlled? Today, the three most likely outcomes are: Russia continues its annexation of land on its borders; Russia is content with annexing Crimea but a civil war encompasses the rest of Ukraine, or things settle down and the IMF program is implemented.

#1  The end goal Putin wants is to annex the eastern parts of Ukraine, with their industrial base - conveniently leaving their debt and economic issues with Ukraine as part of the disintegration. that leaves the western parts for the west to deal with, as well as ALL the debt from the entire country that was run up the by Russian gangsters who were looting the country for the last decade. The net effect is Putin's gangsters loot the country racking up debt, flee to Russia with the loot, then Putin steals the industrial parts for his fascist oligarchs (the the bonus of "Nationalism" as handy excuse for censorship and tightening political control over the Russian rabble of rubes), and sends the debt to the west.

Obama is a naif, and Putin played him big time.
Posted by: OldSpook || 04/25/2014 11:24 Comments || Top||

#2  OS: I think Obama _wanted_ to be played; I think he thinks of the actual productive economy part of the West as The Enemy, to either struggle with his foot on his neck, or get sold out to a convenient 'frenemy' like Putin.

#3  The end goal Putin wants is to annex the eastern parts of Ukraine,

At the risk of arguing with people who actually know about this stuff... I think Putin's end game is a little more subtle: he simply wants non-hostile (read non-NATO) buffer areas on the border. If the eastern part of Ukraine splits off in some way but remains part of the Ukraine, Putin would be satisfied.

The Crimea was a different story, in spite of being right next door. That was a strategic Russian interest and they would have gone to actual fighting/shooting war over that.

India-Pakistan
ISI and media infighting
[DAWN] IN the bizarre, whiplash-inducing fallout of the Hamid Mir shooting, an alarming new twist has occurred: the Ministry of Defence -- really, the army/ISI leadership -- has petitioned Pemra to cancel the TV licence of Geo News while also calling for action against the Jang group's flagship newspapers under the defamation and press laws of the country. Cloaked in indignation, outrage and outright fury at the allegedly scurrilous coverage of the ISI, the army's move -- and the government's acquiescence -- is deeply troubling because it takes aim at the existence of an independent and free media. Certain basic issues need to be reiterated first. To begin with, Hamid Mir was shot in a targeted attack because of his work as a prominent journalist -- and there seems to be little to no concern any longer about who may have been behind the attack and why. Next, the wildly emotional, over-the-top and accusatory coverage by Geo News after the attack on Mr Mir was clearly misguided and far from the best practices of a responsible media.

Yet, for all the missteps and violations of responsible conduct by the Jang group, the army itself seeking to shut down the country's largest media house because of direct allegations against ISI chief Gen Zahirul Islam is a step too far -- and ought to unite the media and the public against this step. For decades, anti-democratic and authoritarian elements have kept the public from choosing who it wants to lead the country and muzzled the media from holding the state to account for its deeds and misdeeds. Now, when a transition is under way and democratic continuity is on its way to becoming irreversible, there is more of a need than ever to have an independent and free media that can operate outside the still-present shadow of anti-democratic forces. The ISI and the army leadership may be rightly aggrieved, but seeking the cancellation of a media group's TV licence is also a hostile move that can have a chilling effect on the media far beyond just the Jang group -- even if Pemra in the end only slaps the group with a fine.

There is though another sad spectacle playing out in the midst of this clash between the state and media: the media at war with itself. Fuelled seemingly by ego, old and new rivalries and, surely, commercial interests, the electronic media has cannibalised itself in recent days. It has been unseemly and worse. With several media groups falling over themselves to denounce each other while simultaneously swearing fealty to the ISI and the army, the core journalistic mission of informing the public and holding the state to account has all but been forgotten. It is time for representative bodies of print and electronic media to come together to defuse tensions and lay down the rules of ethical journalism.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Ending The Illusion Of Abbas The Peace-Seeker
[Ynet] Fatah-Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, unity agreement is a stinging insult to Arab regimes and anyone who ever saw the Paleostinian leader as a 'peace partner.'

the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
' decision to join forces with the Hamas terror organization, whether it happens or not, is nothing other than a slap in the face of anyone who saw him as a "partner," and especially the American administration, US Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
. It can even be seen as humiliation.

For what purpose have the EU and US for years been administering artificial respiration to the entity named the Paleostinian Authority, in the form of billions of dollars? For what purpose has this Authority received close to 7 billion euros in cash from the EU since 1994? It was for the purpose of curbing Hamas.

And for what purpose did European countries support the "observer status of the Paleostinian state" at the UN, if not for the purpose of weakening Hamas?

So now, after all that money and all that great effort, this Authority will actually unite with Hamas, and perhaps even cede rule to them in an election.

This is simply scandalous, but there is an explanation. Until now, European money has been flowing to the PA unconditionally and unsupervised, but new legislation by the European Parliament plenum on April 3, 2014 has set some conditions. This effectively puts an end to the PA, as its aid to snuffies will be exposed. This is the reason for Abbas running into Hamas' arms - the knowledge that the money will dry up regardless.

And now? If the PA sets up a joint government with Hamas, it will be impossible to transfer even one cent to it, because Hamas is officially a terrorist organization, both in Washington and Europe.

Clearly, Israel will also have to stop all fund transfers to an official terrorist entity, as there is no other legal option, including offsetting debts to the Israel Electric Corporation (more than NIS 1.4 billion, or $400 million) -- and to many Israeli creditors. The Europeans may want to consider claiming back the money spent by the PA, and using it to help their unemployed.

Unity with Hamas is a slap in the face for many of the Arab regimes too, as it is basically a shift to cooperating with their enemy, the Moslem Brüderbund. It is an insult to Egypt, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, Jordan and other states that see radical Islam as an existential threat.

Both Fatah and Hamas have turned into detested entities among the Paleostinian and Arab publics alike. There is no support, no interest, no hope; the Arab regimes are not willing to fund the PA if the European-American-Israeli money stops, and so with no other choice they have fallen into one other's arms.

The move also is an attempt to halt their shared enemy of Salafist and Jihadist forces. The latter already number tens of thousands of members, and they are the future. Both Hamas and Fatah know that.

Both Hamas and Fatah are afraid of a new intifada, because while it may begin against Israel, it could burn them both too.

It's a good thing that this unity is taking place now, whether it is implemented or not, as the intention is clear. Just imagine what would have happened if Israel had transferred territories in the center of the country to the Paleostinians, and then the unity with Hamas and Jihad had taken place, with the latter two even controlling these territories.

What kind of existential threat would Israel face in that case, with missiles directed at Tel Aviv, the Sharon region, Haifa and Jerusalem?

So it's also good to tell the truth, after months of selling illusions to the public about a "grinding of the peace processor" and partners that we never had, illusions that the broad public didn't really fall for. So goodbye illusion, hello reality.

#2  Hamas-Fatah reconciliation is about the same level of fantasy as Abbas as peace partner.

There have been about a half dozen reconciliation tries over the past half decade or so. The two teams really hate each other. Among the reasons is that each side has been killing members of the other for many years.

The Troubling Reality Of Gaza's Tunnels
[Ynet] Terrorists emerging from Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, tunnel discovered last month could have reached closest Israeli community within five minutes.

Had this affair taken place in a different place and ascribed to different people, we would have found ourselves glued to the big screen. From our remote place, deep in our seats and perhaps running our hands through popcorn, we would have saluted the scriptwriter, the director and the actors for a breathtaking action film.

In the first minutes we would have seen a line of 50, 100 and even hundreds of forces of Evil emerging from depths of a Paleostinian tunnel, one of the four tunnels unearthed in the past year. The cameras would wander inside the winding tunnel, more than two kilometers deep in the bowels of the earth, lined with concrete. It should be noted that we brought the concrete of the terror tunnels on ourselves.

The camera in the film would dwell upon the entrance to the tunnel, located in the living room of a private house in Gazoo or in a henhouse.

Upon returning to reality, the exact location of the opening on the Israeli side is alarming. Had we failed to unearth the terror tunnel last month, and those before it, a dreadful disaster could have taken place.

Just think what would happen if dozens of gunnies managed to slip away at night, run just several meters to the tangled woods (a troubling location, as I said) and get organized to storm the closest Israeli community. This community nearly touches the tunnel's exit. It's a matter of five minutes and dozens of casualties on our side.

Indeed, we've already seen the pictures and heard the commentators. But there's nothing like seeing it for yourself from close up. Last week I came, heard and saw what I saw, and entered the "Israeli" third of the tunnel without bending down and without making any effort.

At a spitting distance beyond the fence I was able to spot the Egyptian patrol. I asked a (very) senior officer to promise that another Paleostinian tunnel is not being dug out under our feet as we speak. "One?" He smiled dryly. "Why not 10?"

They will soon show us the "advanced" one, tunnel No. 4 which was unearthed last month. Longer, wider, with a double exit opening and with a deep track for a terror attack, professionally known as a "kidnapping route," in case they succeed big time.

Since the Moslem Brüderbund government was brought down, we have been hearing about operations to drown Paleostinian tunnels on the Egyptian side. The moment a tunnel is spotted, a hole is dug out and is flooded with water until the tunnel collapses. They have destroyed 500, they say there are 1,000 tunnels, and the nightmare isn't over.

This is Hamas' flagship project in Gazoo. Their prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, is patient. After the third tunnel was uncovered on the Israeli side, he boasted that "thousands of heroes are working quietly underground, preparing the next battles over Paleostine."

This is how the industry works: They intentionally dig slowly, in eight-to-10-hour shifts around the clock. They have accumulated experience of more than 10 years and a cadre of hundreds, and perhaps even more, diggers. Only eight workers per shift. No phones. They communicate by whispering. There are tunnels for goods and tunnels for human passage to the Egyptian side, and explosive tunnels to the Israeli side.

Each of the 18 Hamas factions takes credit for tunnels -- a matter of livelihood and power. There is a tunnel manager and a foreman, engineers and electricians. The digger will earn from 60 to 80 shekels (about $17-23) per shift, and the funding comes from Tehran.

An "advanced" tunnel is built in three years. No one is in a hurry on the Paleostinian side. If they get caught, they'll dig another one. The fact that they're working on a surprise element is troubling. And the most annoying thing is that, as it turns out, they are using the cement we transfer to Gazoo.

#5  Counter-mining is an old skill. Israel needs to create a few mines at different depths and listen for digging and then destroy the tunnel before it is completed. Either that or let it be known that some radioctive material has been buried in the area and anyone digging through will go sterile and most likely die horribly.
