US Senate confirms John Brennan as new CIA director
[Dawn] The US Senate on Thursday confirmed John Brennan as the Obama administration's next Central Intelligence Agency director, overcoming concerns expressed by Republicans and some Democrats about the administration's use of lethal drone strikes. After the administration clarified its drone policy, Republican Senators allowed the Senate to vote on Brennan's confirmation, which he won by a vote of 63-34.

#5  Wow. A gin-milk fizz. Impressive, in an uncontrolled alcoholic sort of way.

#6  Great. The see-no-evil (Hagel), say-no-evil (Kerry) and hear-no-evil (Brennan) trifecta is now complete.

#7  say-no-evil (Kerry)

There may already be a control problem following his statements about visiting a Benghazi victim at Walter Reed.

#9  Mizaru, Kikazaru and Iwazaru and Nixon.

Or has Bobster Dole said on seeing Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush (at a funeral?)
See no, Hear no Speak no and Evil.

#1  Well they announced the closing of some airport towers on account of recalling tower operators due to sequestration. Hutchinson is the host of a pro golf event, Garden City is where people go when they don't want to drive 3+ hours just to get to a hub, Lawrence has an entire restaurant industry centered on fresh produce and sea food. Nearly all of Kansas relies upon life-flight services.

But hey, I can tune in on NPR or PBS and hear about golfing with a guy who can't keep his dk in his pants, jaunts to the ski lodge, and tens of $millions for religious fanatics who make Fred Phelps look like Barney the Dinosaur.

10-4, loud and clear.

#4  Does the Obamaquester mean we will have to cancel a few $68,000.00 per/hour "Obama golf weekends" (at taxpayer expense) ? Or will we be able to close enough corporate loopholes to affford his habit ?

#1  Dateline - WIESBADEN, Germany

Tell me again why twenty years after the Wall came down we still have anything more than a MAG team in Europe? Military welfare for first world countries. There's your real budget crisis, the unwillingness to end old, outdated programs/commitments.
Posted by: Procopius2k || 03/09/2013 11:55 Comments || Top||

#2  I agree. If I were in charge (heh) one of the many, many ways I'd cut the federal budget would be to bring home all ground forces from Europe. A transport air wing? Yeah okay, particularly if we can keep the hospital at Landstuhl. Naval basing rights? Sure, Naples is useful. But the infantry and armor? Home.

#4  Something must be done! Men of the ranks; the more educated they become, the more likely they are to vote for republicans.
