#1  We don't need em over here, we got plenty of our own fuzzy-headed eco terrorists. What, is Obama trolling for 2012 votes in Europe now?

#1  The only thing government does effectively is waste money.
Posted by: DarthVader || 07/06/2011 13:08 Comments || Top||

#2  Seems a trifle compared to this: HUD to give away $1 billion to deadbeats struggling homeowners.
The newly launched $1 billion Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program, or EHLP, is targeting homeowners who are among the most difficult to help: those who fell behind on their payments because of job loss or unexpected medical bills...the government will subsidize the home borrower’s mortgage payments for a maximum of $50,000 over two years. After that, the interest-free loan will be forgiven over five years if she stays in her home and stays current on her payments. Deadline to apply is July 22nd. All the money must be disbursed by Sept. 30. Barney Frank fought to get this passed in the 2010 financial reform act. Frank proposed taxing large financial firms to fund EHLP, but House Republicans opposed that proposal.

#3  That HUD program doesn't solve the basic issue is that the home loan is worth more than the house is. Until that is adjusted, the housing problem will remain.
I know a couple people that this would help since they were unemployed for 9 months to a year, but it doesn't fix the basic issue that they are way, way, way underwater on their houses.

#4  I know a couple people that this would help Free money is always helpful, unless you are the one providing it.

#5  Root cause: deregulation fallout from the Financial Services Modernization Act (2000). While same followed a GOP initiative - Gramm–Leach–Bliley Bill - it was Clinton who finalized it, in the last month of his Presidency. Obama employs ALL key parties who championed the Act in Oval Office discussions. Bawney Fwank supported his President.

Yah, there was bi-partisan delusion that de-regulation in itself would yield an economic dynamo that would eliminate recessions. Didn't work.

Labor has 'snootful' but will stick with Obama
[Washington Examiner] "Don't any of you guys vote Republican," Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
said to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters convention in Las Vegas last week. "Let me put it this way: Don't come to me if you do. You're on your own, Jack!"

Biden's warning, which received virtually no coverage in the press, is part of the Obama re-election campaign's 2012 strategy for organized labor. It's a two-part plan. One, use the president's executive powers to give labor all sorts of advantages that can't be achieved through legislation. And two, when labor leaders complain that they haven't gotten everything they want, tell them they have nowhere else to go.

#1  Which accomplishes what exactly as per the Teamsters, AFL-CIO interests + "Globalism"???

* ION PEOPLE'S DAILY FORUM > THE US + EUROPE SINK TOGETHER.

* TOPIX > PEAK DEBT? THE US, EURO DEBT CRISIS IS GLOBAL.

More similarities than differences ..
> Massive Sovereign Debt which is increasing, not decreasing.
> Weak economies.
> Militant or manic desire above all else to protect National Welfare Systems = Welfare-Nanny State.
> Anti-Reform Political Establishments.
> Fear of the Future, i.e. one that is not guaranteed or absolutely certain.

IOW, COST-PROHIBITIVE MICRO/NANO-MANAGEMENT BY GOVT. WHICH ONLY ADDS TO EXPANDING ECON, BUDGET WOES.

> Seemingly perennial or permanent Political Gridlock.

IIUC, NATIONAL OR UNIVERSAL "INNOVATION" + "PROGRESS", ETC. WILL OCCUR ONLY IFF GOVTS-POLITICOS ARE CERTAIN THE STATUS QUO WILL NOT BE CHANGED OR COMPROMISED???

Well there ya go!

* WAFF > THE NEXT TWENTY YEARS WILL BE INTERESTING.

Yeeeeuuuuuppp - Global Warming, Global Econ Collapse = Protractive Lack of Debt Recovery, Peak Everything, ......@etc.

The sole reason 99.9999% of people who are in unions and/or the public sector take union or public sector jobs, Joe.

#5  Well, I don't know about you, but I've had a snootful of that s--t."

So vote for the other guy. Or better yet, get a labor party organized! They won't let you down!

#7  Usually the donks are involved in class warfare except when it's election time; then open fishing for votes is in season and requires no license. Promises will be plentiful; later, delivery on promises will be scarce. It wasn't too long ago Obumble was slamming Las Vegas and advising people not to spend their money there.
