SUV In US Boy’s Death Had Anti-Muslim Message, Say Police
[IsraelTimes] An SUV involved in the death of a Missouri teenager outside a Somali community center had an anti-Moslem message displayed in its rear window at the time of the crash, Kansas City police confirmed Saturday.
Dreadful. But note the perpetrator's name:
Authorities say 34-year-old Ahmed H. Aden deliberately ran the boy over and have charged him with murder in a case that the FBI is investigating as a potential hate crime. Abdisamad Sheikh-Hussein, 15, died Thursday after his legs were nearly severed in the crash.

Kansas City police front man Darin Snapp told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named in an email that the SUV had been seen in the area by patrol officers in October with a message that compared the Koran to the Ebola virus.

Hundreds of people came to Sheikh-Hussein’s funeral Saturday at the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City.

Friends said Sheikh-Hussein had been going to play basketball when he was run down so violently that a witness reported seeing the teen “fly through the air,” according to a probable cause statement.

Court documents said Aden crashed the SUV and got out of the vehicle with a knife. Witnesses told officers they followed Aden and pointed him out to police. One said the suspect swung what appeared to be a baseball bat at people, and another said Aden threatened them with a handgun as he tried to get away on foot.

Aden initially told authorities that he lost control of his vehicle and that there had been an accident. He later said he struck the teen because he thought the boy looked like someone who had threatened him several days earlier, the probable cause statement said. Aden was being held in the Jackson County jail on Saturday. No attorney was listed for him in online court records.

The FBI said Friday it could not release any information on why the case could be considered a hate crime, but Moslem leaders had called for such an investigation.

In the weeks before the crash, people said, they saw a black SUV painted with threatening messages at the center and at a nearby shopping area. One of the messages was “Islam Is Worse Than Ebola,” said Mohammed Ahmed, 13.

“I would have thought the police would have taken care of it, but they didn’t,” he said.

Bakar Abdalla, 31, said the boy’s father was a teacher at the center. Khadra Dirir, the victim’s aunt, said her nephew regularly studied the Koran, and “if you asked him a verse, he could tell the chapter.” She said he had delivered a group prayer the night he died.

Mehsud's lover close personal aide handed over to Pak by US
[UNDEFINED] US troops in Afghanistan said on Sunday they had handed over three Pak prisoners to Islamabad, while a security source said one of them was a senior Pak Taliban `commander'.

"Acting on behalf of the United States government, we transferred custody of three Paks held in US custody in Afghanistan, to Pakistan," US Forces-Afghanistan said in a statement in Kabul.

"This followed consultations between the US and Pakistain and after receiving appropriate assurances," it added.

Houthis plan to ‘raise money in Saudi Arabia through beggars’

Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. rebel movement in Yemen is planning to send a large number of beggars over to the Kingdom in order to raise money for them, sources told Al-Hayat newspaper.
"Please, effendi? Spare change to kill you and your family?"
Houthi followers are planning to enter the Kingdom illegally through the southern borders, close to their stronghold, the sources said.

They intend to spread throughout the country's regions and cities and begin begging for money on streets.

The sources said the beggars will be carrying fake medical reports and letters claiming they suffer from different disabilities and will squat near mosques and other public places.

Sources noted the movement would make sure that the money collected by beggars will be transferred to Yemen in ways that are difficult to trace.

The Interior Ministry started a few months ago a crackdown campaign on beggars all over the Kingdom.

Security officers arrest any beggar regardless of nationality and take necessary measures, sources said.

Border guards in the south continue to foil attempts by Yemeni undocumented workers who want to enter the country illegally.

Authorities here have listed the Houthi movement as a terrorist group together with Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. Front and Hezbollah.

A recent study by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance has attributed the increasing number of beggars seen on streets to the rising number of undocumented workers who cross the borders illegally.

rebels continue to occupy the capital Sanaa they seized since last September, Al Arabiya News Channel reported on Sunday

President Hadi issued a decree replacing Ahmed Ali al-Ashouel with General Hussein Naji Hadi Khairan.

Ashouel moved to the Majlis al-Shura (consultative council), the lower chamber of parliament.

Ashouel's dismissal comes as Shiite Houthi rebels delay a withdrawal they agreed to under a U.N.-brokered accord in September.

The rebels swept south from its rugged northern stronghold to capture Sanaa before then extending its influence into central and west Yemen.

The rebels were able to take over several government arms depots including those housing heavy weapons.

This further eroded the authority of the mostly Sunni Moslem state, already weakened by persistent attacks from Al-Qaeda hard boyz in the south and east and by a southern separatist movement.

The rebels have since faced a growing insurgency from al-Qaeda and opposing tribes in the capital and other areas.

On Monday, five roadside kabooms targeted them in Sanaa, wounding several people, the ministry of defence website said.

The bombs targeted Houthi checkpoints and some houses, the ministry website quoted Sanaa's director of security as saying. Two other devices were dismantled, the ministry added.

Caribbean-Latin America
Six Guantanamo Detainees Sent to Uruguay
[AnNahar] Six Guantanamo detainees, including four Syrians, one Paleostinian and one Tunisian, have been transferred to Uruguay from the American military base in Cuba, where 136 detainees remain, the Pentagon said Sunday.

Among the inmates transferred was Syrian prisoner Jihad Diyab, 43, who had staged a hunger strike and requested a U.S. court to order prison officials to stop force-feeding him.

The six men received an "approved for transfer" from US authorities and left the military base on a U.S. Air Force plane at 12:00 am (0500 GMT) Sunday, Pentagon front man Myles Caggins told AFP.

There are still 136 prisoners at Guantanamo, most of whom are detained without charge or facing trial, after 66 detainees were approved to be released by the successive governments of George W. Bush and Barack Obama
I am the change that you seek...
Sunday's transfers follow the release of seven prisoners in November.

"We are very grateful to Uruguay for this important humanitarian action, and to President (Jose) Mujica for his strong leadership in providing a home for individuals who cannot return to their own countries," special envoy for Guantanamo closure Cliff Sloan told AFP.

"The support we are receiving from our friends and allies is critical to achieving our shared goal of closing Guantanamo, and this transfer is a major milestone in our efforts to close the facility."

Uruguay's leftist President Jose Mujica had announced in March that the South American country would take in the inmates on humanitarian grounds in an effort to help U.S. President Barack Obama fulfill his long-delayed promise to close the military prison in Cuba.

The transfers, initially to take place last August, were delayed for political reasons.

By the time Washington was ready, Uruguay was in the midst of an election campaign to choose Mujica's successor, making the issue a political hot potato.

Diyab is one of several prisoners who have staged hunger strikes at Guantanamo arguing that they are being held in legal limbo.

Last year, Guantanamo prisoners staged the largest protest in the prison's history -- involving two thirds of all detainees at its peak and spanning six months.

#2  Obama, as one of his first acts in office upon taking office in January 2009, vowed to close the U.S. military prison, but that has been thwarted by the U.S. Congress.

He has therefore had to rely on a handful of countries that have agreed to take in some of the prisoners.

Thwarted by Congress? What poppycock! The fact that there are only a handful of countries that will accept these guys ought to tell Obama and his MSM something about these detainees.

Look for these boneheads to make their way to our southern border sometime in the future and claim they have been here 5 years. Then let the governmental benefits begin.

Uruguay must have very low, low standards for entry.

North Korea Says Pro-Pyongyang Supporters Behind Sony Cyber Attack

France Vows 'National' Fight against Anti-Semitism after Vicious Attack
[AnNahar] La Belle France's interior minister vowed Sunday to make the fight against anti-Semitism a "national cause" after the country was rocked by an attack on a couple apparently because the man was Jewish.
Yes, yes, everyone is nobly appalled. Didn't stop the national assembly from voting in favour of recognizing a Palestinian state, though, because the two can't possibly be connected. On the third hand, Michel Gurfinkiel of PJ Media predicts the national assembly will soon be in conservative, pro-Israel hands.
Speaking at a rally in the Gay Paree suburb of Creteil, where the attack took place on Monday, Bernard Cazeneuve said: "We need to make the fight against racism and anti-Semitism a national cause by getting all bodies concerned involved."

"The Republic will defend you with all its force because, without you, it would no longer be the Republic," he added.

Speaking at the same rally, Roger Cukierman, the head of the La Belle France's main Jewish organization (CRIF), said that "Jews feel in danger. Some are already leaving La Belle France".

Cazeneuve said anti-Semitic acts and threats have more than doubled in the past 10 months and called for the authorities to ensure that "none of them goes unpunished".

In what President Francois Hollande
...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist...
has described as an "unbearable" attack, assailants stormed the flat of a young couple, raping and stealing jewelery and bank cards.

According to the male victim, the attackers told them they had not chosen the place at random.

"We know that your brother is the manager of a big clothing chain. We know he has the cash till," one of them said, according to the victim, who was interviewed on French television.

"In any case, you Jews, you have money," the assailant added, according to the victim.

La Belle France is home to some 500,000-600,000 Jews, the third largest Jewish population in the world, after Israel and the United States.

Tensions over the recent Gazoo conflict spilled out into the streets in July with looters destroying Jewish businesses and shouting anti-Israeli slogans.

The number of French Jews who have moved to Israel in the first 10 months of 2014 has more than doubled compared to last year, a leading Jewish agency said last week, attributing the spike to a sluggish economy and a rise in anti-Semitic sentiment.
And an order of magnitude or several more have left for Francophone Canada, London, and elsewhere. As have quite a few non-Jewish citizens of the Fifth Republic.
Incidentally, the initial story of the robbery and rape can be found here.

(PTI) chief Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five...
announced on Sunday that his party's politicians would not return to parliament this term, even if a proposed judicial commission declared the 2013 general elections to be rigging-free.

"If the proposed judicial commission says no rigging took place -- which I don't believe -- even then we won't go back to the National Assembly and will prepare for the next elections," Mr Khan said, indicating that he would not be prepared to accept the commission's verdict if it came out in the government's favour.

Accepting the appointment of retired Justice Sardar Mohammad Raza Khan as the new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Mr Khan told news hounds at his Bani Gala residence that the government should be prepared to face 'dire consequences' if it tried to block the party's public meeting in Faisalabad

Faisalabad tense amid PTI

...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
and the ruling Pakistain Moslem League-N confronted each other here on Sunday as the textile city braced itself for a tense Monday declared by the former as the venue for launching its 'Plan C' protests against alleged vote fraud.

The PTI has announced its plan to paralyse the city and later expand its protests to Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
and Lahore and eventually to the entire country.

Activists of the two parties who had gathered at what is virtually the city centre, the Clock Tower intersection, shouted slogans and pelted each other with tomatoes and eggs.

Club-wielding workers of both parties, led by their local leaders, were also there to support their sides. At one point when PML-N supporters started pushing and shoving their rivals, the PTI activists left the scene only to return after about half an hour.

The PTI squad surrounded the intersection and some of them tore down PML-N banners put up on the fence around the Clock Tower. A heavy police contingent was deployed in the area and District Coordination Officer Noorul Ameen Mengal and city police chief Sohail Tajik urged workers of both the parties to remain calm. Police also held a flag march on various roads.

Meanwhile,

Kerry also said progress had been made in peace talks last year between the Israelis and the Paleostinians, but lamented that conditions were not yet ripe for new peace negotiations, particularly due to heightened tensions between Israel and the Paleostinians that have led to an unprecedented amount of frustration.

UN: Israel Interacting With Rebels On Syrian Border
[IsraelTimes] Reports presented to the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
Security Council reveal numerous interactions between Israeli troops and rebel groups on the Israel-Syrian border over the past year and a half.

UN observers in the Golan Heights meticulously detailed instances of contact between IDF soldiers and rebels, including Syrians being sent into Israel for medical treatment, and the transfer of items and containers, according to records maintained by the UN disengagement force in the Golan demilitarized zone.

The reports were first detailed by Israeli daily Haaretz on Sunday.

Most of the dispatches report on cross-border incidents, though several also detail numbers of people sent from Syrian fighting into Israel for medical treatment.

“During periods of heavy engagement with Syrian forces, [rebel groups] transferred 89 maimed persons across the ceasefire line to the IDF,” a May 2014 dispatch reads, adding later that “the IDF handed 19 treated and two deceased individuals” back to the myrmidons.

On another occasion, also dated May 2014, UN monitors observed IDF troops “handing over two boxes to armed members of the opposition” on the Syrian side.

The IDF spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
"I can say no more!"
The reports use “armed members of the opposition” as a blanket term to describe rebel and jihadi groups operating against the Syrian government.

Many of the interactions detail Syrian fighters and civilians seeking medical treatment on the Israeli side of the border, including as recently as November when at least “10 maimed persons were transferred by [rebels]” to the IDF.

One case portrays a person maimed in an kaboom, who was then taken by turbans across the ceasefire line and transferred to a civilian ambulance escorted by an IDF vehicle, in September 2013.

A June 2013 memorandum notes that Israel’s “Liaison Officer informed UNDOF that the IDF had provided emergency medical treatment to 20 armed members of the opposition, all of whom had been returned to the Syrian side.”

Israel has accepted Syrians for medical treatment for years, setting up a field hospital next to the DMZ, and transferring more seriously injured patients to other medical facilities in the north of the country.

Since last year, more than 700 maimed Syrians have been treated in Israeli hospitals via the Syria-Israel border crossing.

Israeli officials have refused to identify who they treat and whether they are regime forces, rebels or civilians.

UNDOF has patrolled the buffer zone between Syria and Israel since 1974, a year after the Yom Kippur War, helping to maintain a ceasefire between the two countries.

With the onset of the Syrian civil war in recent years, peacekeepers have been attacked multiple times by jihadist groups such as the al-Nusra

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Israeli minister affirms policy of stopping arms transfers to terrorists
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Israel stressed on Monday that it has a policy of preventing arms transfers to bad boy groups, a day after Syria accused Israel of bombing Damascus airport.

Israel has launched a series of strikes inside Syria since the armed uprising erupted there in 2011, including raids reportedly targeting weapons bound for Damascus ally Hezbollah in Leb.

Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz refused to comment directly on Sunday's incident, as was also the case with Israeli officials questioned in the aftermath of previous strikes.

Russian Deputy FM Meets With Hezbollah Chief
[IsraelTimes] Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov in Leb over the weekend as part of the diplomat?s two-day trip to the region, which focused on the Syrian civil war.

Bogdanov arrived in Beirut on Thursday and met with Lebanese leaders, including Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, parliament speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

, and former president Michel Suleiman

That was after the previous commander, the loathesome Emile Lahoud, took office as president in November of 1998. Likely the next president of Leb will be whoever's commander of the armed forces, too...
. The Russian diplomat pledged that Russia would help arm Leb against Syrian rebel groups, and said Moscow was working to restart negotiations between the Syrian government and opposition without preconditions.

. Hezbollah has dispatched fighters to Syria to bolster Assad?s forces.

Bogdanov arrived at the invitation of the Lebanese government to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

During his visit, Bogdanov said Russia was prepared to ?help Leb?s army, police and security forces to effectively combat terrorist groups,? according to the Russian TASS news agency.

He called on Leb ?to join forces to fight terrorism, which poses a threat not only to the Middle East but to the whole world.?

Bogdanov termed the situation ?dangerous and alarming,? and called for dialogue between the Syrian opposition and government to resolve the four-year civil war that has claimed over 200,000 lives.

?It is impossible to find any fundamental solution to the problems without a dialogue involving all concerned parties,? he said.

The Russian diplomat said Moscow was negotiating with the rebel groups in an effort to restart peace talks.

?Our task is to improve consultations for preparing serious talks without preconditions,? he said.

?The Syrians should gather together and start a dialogue. This will make it possible to bring together views on all issues,? he said, noting that ?the Syrian people will determine the fate of Syria and its future.?

Proposed Iran Federal Budget Reduces Oil Reliance
[Ynet] Iranian President Hasan Rouhani has presented parliament with a draft budget that would reduce the government's reliance on oil revenues.

The $72 billion budget, unveiled Sunday, is about 6 percent more than the previous year's budget of $68 billion.
Nice oil sale numbers as the boycott weakened ... before the price fell?
Oil revenues will make up just 33 percent of the proposed budget for the next Iranian calendar year that begins March 21, while it was 50 percent the previous year.

And Persian made advanced arms technology: destroyers, battleships, sixth-generation fighter jets, super-tanks, all produced in Iran. They can do all that stuff locally now, and cheap. They say so and why would anyone doubt them...

Mayor: Arsal Not Surrounded by Gunmen
[AnNahar] Head of the municipality of the northeastern border town of Arsal Ali al-Hujeiri denied that the town came under fire by sympathizers of the Bazzal family, whose son was executed by Islamist gunnies who had kidnapped him and a number of servicemen in August, reported the Kuwaiti al-Seyassah daily on Sunday.

He told the daily: ?Contrary to reports, the town was not surrounded by the sympathizers and was not subject to shelling.?

?Arsal's residents are leading their lives normally,? he stressed.

Asked about the actions of the relatives of slain policeman Ali al-Bazzal, he responded: ?The highway leading to Arsal is the responsibility of the state, not ours.?

?We are keen on preserving good ties with our neighbors, whom we have coexisted with for hundreds of years,? remarked Hujeiri.

He criticized however the temporary detention of three Arsal residents by the sympathizers.

Furthermore, the municipal chief denied that Arsal is linked to the developments on its outskirts, where gunnies from Syria are active.

He instead said that he had repeatedly warned of the repercussions of Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
's involvement in the fighting in Syria.

The army had repeatedly shelled the positions of gunnies in Arsal.

A number of coppers and soldiers were kidnapped by Islamists from Syria in the wake of festivities in Arsal in August.

A few of the detainees were released, four were executed, and the rest are still being held.

Al-Bazzal was the latest victim of execution.

Front said on Friday night that it had killed him to avenge the arrest of Islamic myrmidons' wives and children.

The enraged men of al-Bazzal earlier blocked the town's main road in the eastern village of Bazzalieh near the Lebanese-Syrian border.

The state-run National News Agency reported that the town's men erected checkpoints in the village, checking the identity cards of passers-by.
Good idea. The army can't be everywhere.
The National News Agency also reported armed presence in al-Bazzalieh.

Al-Qaeda Group’s Gains In Syria Undermine U.S. Strategy
A taste:
[WashingtonPost] The main al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria is extending its control over a swath of territory that was until recently held by the collapsing moderate opposition, jeopardizing U.S. plans to form a new rebel force to fight Lion of Islams.

Since routing two of the biggest Western-backed rebel movements last month from the province of Idlib, Jabhat al-Nusra
...the current nom de guerre of al-Qaeda in the Levant, which isn't to be confused with al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant...
has been steadily consolidating its position as the single most powerful military force in northwestern Syria.

The group has overrun towns and villages throughout the province, secured supply routes into neighboring Turkey and potentially paved the way for the establishment of an Islamic “emirate” — a competing entity to the “caliphate” declared last summer by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. in northeastern Syria and western Iraq.

The al-Qaeda affiliate’s expanding footprint risks further complicating the U.S.-led effort to contain and destroy the far more powerful Islamic State, a fierce rival to Jabhat al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
that ejected the al-Qaeda loyalists from its territories last summer.

If the fighting in Syria continues on its current trajectory, the country soon will be partitioned almost entirely between jihadist forces and those of the Assad regime, leaving the moderate rebels without territory and the United States without allies in the strategically important country, rebel commanders and analysts say.

Islamic State Training Kids For Jihad, UN Says

terror group published photos Saturday of children firing loaded AK-47 assault rifles, assembling weapons and standing in formation, at the ?Cubs of the Caliphate? training camp near Damascus, Syria.

A total of seven images were distributed across social media platforms, including Twitter and jihadi forums, showing a group of adolescents wearing face masks and military fatigues, crouching in shooting positions, and struggling to cock large weapons.

The Islamic State?s exploitation of children for warfare and other purposes was documented in a November report by the UN entitled ?Rule of Terror: Living under ISIS in Syria.? ISIS, as well as ISIL and IS, is an acronym for Islamic State.

According to the dispatch, the jihadi group has ?instrumentalized and abused children on a systematic scale,? using them in combat roles, as spies, guards, cooks, medics and even jacket wallahs.

?I saw at least 10 armed ISIS members aged 13?14 years old,? an unnamed interviewee from Al-Hasakah, Syria told the UN inquiry.

?These boys served as guards at ISIS headquarters and at checkpoints. They were armed with Kalashnikovs and grenades,? he said.

The report observes that adolescents have been the victims, witnesses and perpetrators of public executions, and details an account of a 16-year-old boy reportedly cutting the throats of two Syrian soldiers captured from Tabqa airbase in late August 2014.

The document notes that ?ISIS prioritizes children as a vehicle for ensuring long-term loyalty,? and that by instilling in them a strict adherence to jihadist ideology, the terror group seeks to form a ?cadre of devoted fighters that will see violence as a way of life.?

They were assigned the same military duties as adults, and children and adults alike signed up for suicide-attack missions.
