Shocking moment communist revolutionaries burn American flags outside Jason Aldean's Chicago concert while mocking his controversial hit song
Pay attention to us!!
[MAIL] A group of communist revolutionaries were caught on camera burning American flags outside a Jason Aldean concert in Chicago on Saturday night - and they made a reference to his controversial hit song.

'Guess what Jason (Aldean)?' one of the activists Rafael Kadaris told the Chicago Tribune. 'We will try that in a small town. We will try that in a big city. And we will try it right in front of your concert.'

About 20 people gathered outside Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park as part of a protest led by Revolution Club Chicago, a far-left group that calls for a revolution against capitalism.

Revolution Club activists burned the Stars and Stripes before police declared their presence to be 'an unlawful assembly' and that their activism 'alarmed and disturbed others.'

They also referenced Aldean's recent 'anti-woke' hit 'Try That In A Small Town,' where the country star condoned actions of far-left groups during the George Floyd protests.

Try that in a small town.

The Revolution Club, Marxist, is a Bob Avakian satrap. WikiNote: "In 2005, Avakian published an autobiography, From Ike to Mao and Beyond: My Journey from Mainstream America to Revolutionary Communist. He has been the Revolutionary Communist Party's central committee chairman and national leader since 1979. In 2016, the RCP USA and others helped form the organization Refuse Fascism, which called for the removal of Donald Trump.

In August 2020, Avakian released a statement about the rise of fascism in America, calling on supporters to use "every appropriate means of non-violent action" to remove Trump, including voting for Joe Biden for President of the United States, while continuing to organize for revolution.

#9  SCROTUS declared flag burning to be "protected speech" in Texas vs Johnson in 1989. (Panhandling and nude dancing have also been found to be "free speech," so YMMV)

It seems today, as long as your speech is simply stupid or anti-American, it's all good, as far as the authorities are concerned. Let your speech question beloved deep state dogmas or woke "truths," and you are - tada - an "enemy of the state," engaged in "hate speech, disinformation or dangerous propaganda."

#11  The old formulation is "Your right to swing your arm around ends when you strike me while doing it."

That is still a good rule of thumb, if you will. Problem is, from the NFL to the streets, the officials seem to take a harder line against retaliation over that taken by the initiating offensive actor.

I'm not interested in being assaulted. I'm even less interested in being jailed or sued for trying to teach someone assaulting me some manners.

If the authorities are going to put "making an example" of people (see: J6 defendants) over busting actual criminals, they can find some other volunteers. I'll pass.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin pardons Loudoun County dad who protested school board after daughter's sexual assault
[FoxNews] Youngkin says the daughter was the victim of an attempted cover up

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has pardoned the Loudoun County father who protested against the sexual assault of his daughter and her public school's attempt to cover up the incident, his office announced Sunday.

Youngkin made the announcement on "Fox News Sunday" with host Shannon Bream, saying he had signed the pardon on Friday. The pardon is for Scott Smith, who was convicted of disorderly conduct in August 2021 after he erupted at school board members over their handling of an investigation into his daughter's attack.

"I spoke with Mr. Smith on Friday, and I had the privilege of telling Mr. Smith that I will pardon him, and we did that on Friday," Youngkin said. "We righted a wrong. He should've never been prosecuted here. This was a dad standing up for his daughter."

"His daughter had been sexually assaulted in the bathroom of a school, and no one was doing anything about it," he continued adding that the school superintendent has "covered it up."

Smith's daughter was sexually assaulted in a restroom at Stone Bridge High School by a biological male said to have been wearing a skirt.

"Mr. Smith did what any father would do, what any parent would do, which is stand up for their child," Youngkin said. "This was gross miscarriage of justice."

The governor went on to emphasize the importance of ensuring that parents have the final say over their children's education. Youngkin's administration is currently cracking down on Virginia public schools that refusing to adequately enforce requirements that parents be informed if their child expresses any gender confusion at school.

Youngkin also addressed simmering rumors that he may still join the Republican presidential primary, though he made no commitments.

Colossal Cache of Lithium Found in US May Be The World's Largest
[Futurism] Some of the world's richest lithium stores are contained in brine. But the McDermitt Caldera's lithium, particularly in its southern portion in Nevada, in an area called Thacker Pass, is locked up in clay.

The caldera formed after a massive magma eruption approximately 16.4 million years ago, dredging up untold scores of lithium and other metals. A lake eventually inhabited the caldera, which deposited a layer of sediment spliced with the lithium that today is over 600 feet deep. The result: a clay called smectite.

But that was just the first lithium injection. Eventually, as volcanic activity heated up again, hot brine containing additional lithium was driven up into the existing smectite, infusing it with even more of it. Now, the clay was no longer just smectite, but a uniquely lithium-rich illite.

"They seem to have hit the sweet spot where the clays are preserved close to the surface, so they won't have to extract as much rock, yet it hasn't been weathered away yet," Borst told Chemistry World.

#1  A Chinese connection? Well, yes of course:

The Thacker Pass Lithium Mine is a lithium clay mining development project in Humboldt County, Nevada, which is the largest known lithium deposit in the US and one of the largest in the world.[5][6][7] There has been significant exploration of Thacker Pass since 2007. The Bureau of Land Management issued a Record of Decision approving development of the mine in January 2021. Construction began in March 2023 after an emergency appeal was denied by the court.[8] The project site would cover 18,000 acres (7,300 ha), with less than 6,000 acres (2,400 ha) of that being mined,[9][10][11][12] on a site 21 miles (34 km) west-northwest of Orovada, Nevada within the McDermitt Caldera.[4][5][13] The mine is a project of Lithium Nevada, LLC - a wholly owned subsidiary of Lithium Americas Corp, whose largest shareholder is the world's largest lithium mining company, Chinese Ganfeng Lithium.[11] At full capacity it would produce 66,000 tons annually,

Earthquake in Morocco: provisional death toll rises to 1,037 2,000 2500
[AFRICANEWS] At least, 1037 people died in a powerful earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday night, causing widespread damage and panic in Marrakech, a tourist Mecca, and several other cities, according to a new official report.

The Moroccan Centre for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST) said the epicentre of the quake, recorded at 23:11 local time (22:11 GMT), was located in the province of al-Haouz, south-west of the city of Marrakech, a popular destination for foreign tourists.

The earthquake killed 820 people and injured 672, 205 of them seriously, the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement. The previous toll was 632 dead and 329 injured.

More than a third of the deaths (394) were recorded in al-Haouz, the epicentre of the quake, and in Taroudant (271) further south, the same source said.

This is the most powerful earthquake to hit the kingdom to date.

According to images reproduced by the media and on social networks and witnesses, the earthquake caused extensive damage in several towns.

Images showed part of a minaret collapsing on the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, the beating heart of Marrakech, injuring two people.

An AFP correspondent saw hundreds of people flocking to the city's iconic square to spend the night for fear of aftershocks. Some had blankets, others were sleeping on the ground.

"We were walking around Jemaa el-Fna when the earth started to shake. We're safe and sound, but I'm still in shock. At least ten members of my family died in Ijoukak (rural commune of al-Haouz, editor's note). I can't believe it, because no more than two days ago I was with them", Houda Outassaf, a resident of the town she met in the square, told AFP.

Morocco mourns quake victims as death toll passes 2,000
[An Nahar] Moroccans on Sunday mourned the victims of a devastating earthquake that killed more than 2,000 people, as rescue teams raced to find survivors trapped in the rubble of flattened villages.

The strongest-ever quake to hit the country has killed at least 2,012 people and injured over 2,059, many of them critically, according to the latest official figures.

Friday's 6.8-magnitude quake struck 72 kilometers (45 miles) southwest of the tourist hub of Marrakesh, wiping out entire villages in rural areas.

Update at 8:15 a.m. EDT:
Death toll in devastating Morocco earthquake rises to 2,497

[IsraelTimes] The death toll from Morocco’s devastating earthquake has risen to 2,497, the interior ministry says, as search and rescue efforts continue.

Another 2,476 people are injured, the ministry says, updating a previous toll of 2,122 dead and 2,400 wounded.

Rabat has accepted offers to send search and rescue teams from Spain, Britain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, but have not responded to other nations — including Israel.

#1  A interesting question was posed on a other site.

Can the pumping oil out of underground deposits create massive voids? Which could then could produce voids/faults that could promote geological issues like earthquakes?

eg. The new oil deposits found off the coast of Morocco in 2009 that have been collected.

Africa Subsaharan
Gabon: PM unveils transitional government officials
[AFRICANEWS] Gabon's military leader, General Brice Oligui Nguema has unveiled his transitional government consisting of representatives from diverse political backgrounds.

Gabon's transitional Prime Minister, Raymond Ndong Sima, unveiled the composition of a diverse government on Saturday. This government comprises former adversaries, former ministers from the deposed president Ali Bongo's administration, military officials, and civil society representatives. However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
notable figures from the former opposition in the presidential election are notably absent.

Mr. Ndong Sima assumed leadership of the transitional government on Thursday, following his appointment by General Brice Oligui Nguema, who orchestrated the coup d'état against Ali Bongo Ondimba on August 30. This coup occurred shortly after Bongo's disputed re-election in a "fraudulent" election.

Mr. Oligui was inaugurated as the President of the transitional period on Monday, without specifying its duration, with a commitment to eventually "restore power to civilians" through elections.

The announcement of the government's composition, comprising 26 members, comes two days after Ndong Sima's appointment. The 68-year-old, who previously served as Prime Minister under President Bongo from 2012 to 2014, distanced himself from the primary opposition platform, Alternance 2023, which united various opposition leaders behind a common presidential candidate, Albert Ondo Ossa.

Notably, Ondo Ossa and other prominent figures from the coalition, such as Alexandre Barro Chambrier of the Rassemblement pour la patrie et la modernité (RPM) or Paulette Missambo of the Union nationale (UN), are not part of the government.

A former member of Missambo's party, Paul-Marie Gondjout, who left in October 2022 due to internal disputes, has been appointed as the Minister of Justice. According to the transitional charter, members of this temporary government are prohibited from running in the upcoming presidential election, although there are no restrictions on Mr. Oligui's participation.

The government also includes civil society representatives, such as Mays Mouissi, who has been designated as the Minister of the Economy. Mouissi, an economic analyst, authored a widely circulated report during the campaign titled "105 Promises, 13 Achievements: An Assessment of Ali Bongo's Second Seven-Year Term."

Three ministers from Ali Bongo's previous government have retained their positions. Camélia Ntoutoume-Leclercq remains the Minister of National Education, Hermann Immongault, formerly Minister of Foreign Affairs, now serves as the Minister Delegate for the Interior, and Raphaël Ngazouzé, who previously oversaw vocational training, has assumed responsibility for the Civil Service portfolio.

Britain
Serious security breach in the heart of British government circles
[Shafaq News] The British newspaper "The Times" reported on Sunday that the intelligence agency has arrested a researcher working with members of the House of Commons on charges of spying for China.

"The Times" stated that the researcher is connected to members of the British Parliament who have access to classified information.

Other British media outlets reported that another person in his thirties close to the researcher has also been arrested.

"The Times" indicated that this is considered one of the most serious security breaches against an adversary state within British government circles.

The accused, in his late twenties, is close to prominent parliamentarians, including those who have access to highly classified information not available to others.

Among these individuals are the British Home Secretary, Tom Tugendhat, and the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Commons, Alicia Kearns.

A high-level British government source considered this espionage as a "serious escalation" on the part of China, "We have never seen anything like this before."

"The Times" reported that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak raised the issue with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on the sidelines of the G20 summit currently being held in New Delhi.

The Grand Turk
Turkish cryptocurrency mogul sentenced to over 11,000 years in prison
[GEO.TV] A Ottoman Turkish cryptocurrency executive and his two siblings have been sentenced to a total of 11,196 years in prison for defrauding investors of millions of dollars, BBC reported on Saturday.

Faruk Fatih Ozer, 29, fled to Albania in 2021 after his Thodex exchange collapsed before he was extradited back to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
in June and found guilty of money laundering, fraud, and organised crime.

According to the Anadolu Agency, Ozer claimed: "I am smart enough to lead any institution on Earth. That is evident in this company I established at the age of 22."

The Istanbul trial found his sister Serap and brother Guven guilty of the same charges and were sentenced separately for multiple crimes against 2,027 victims, leading to the total number of years in the judgment.

Since the death penalty
was abolished in Turkey in 2004, unusual jail sentences like this have been rather prevalent.

A TV cult preacher named Adnan Oktar was sentenced to 8,658 years in prison in 2022 for fraud and sex offences while 10 of his supporters were given the same punishment.

According to AFP, prosecutors in Ozer's case had asked for him to be sentenced to 40,562 years in prison.

Turks have adopted cryptocurrencies as a defence against a significant lira decline over two years ago, with the 2017-founded Thodex becoming one of the largest exchanges for virtual currencies in the country.

Ozer, a financial whiz, gained national fame by befriending pro-government figures. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
the platform imploded in April 2021, causing investor assets to disappear.

Ozer went into hiding and was arrested in Albania on an international warrant and extradited after an extensive legal process.

Ottoman Turkish media reported Ozer fled with assets worth $2 billion.

The prosecutor's indictment estimates total losses to Thodex investors at 356 million liras, which was worth $43 million at the time of the exchange's implosion but is now worth $13 million due to inflation and the lira's collapse.

Taimur, a resident of Harbanspura, filed a complaint with the police, saying he was standing at a food shop on a street near the Rangers headquarters when he saw some pages being thrown from the roof of a nearby house. He picked up the pages, which were found to be from the Holy Koran.

The complainant claimed that he approached the house and knocked on the door. A woman opened the door and he inquired as to who had thrown the pages.

According to him, the woman responded that her minor daughters and son might have thrown the pages.

Taimur insisted on checking the home, at which the woman allowed him to enter the house.

The complainant went to the rooftop of the house where, he claimed, a pink colour bag placed near the water tank contained more pages of the Holy Koran.

He contacted the police, who came to the scene and took away the pages.

The North Cantonment police registered a blasphemy case against the woman and her husband for their alleged involvement in desecrating the holy scripture. The case was filed under Section 295-b of the Pakistain Penal Code.

SP Awais Shafique told the media that both suspects had been arrested and were now awaiting legal proceedings.

The incident comes in the wake of the Aug 16 violent mostly peaceful episode in which a mob ransacked and set fire to nearly two dozen churches, attacked the houses of Christian community members, and targeted the office of an assistant commissioner in Jaranwala.

Reports suggest the violence in Jaranwala erupted after some local residents claimed to have found several desecrated pages of the Holy Koran near a house, where two Christian brothers were residing.
