Suspected Al-Shabaab members appear in Somali military court
[ShabelleMedia] The Military Court today sat down to hear the terrorism-related cases against al-Shabaab
... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
members for bombings in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

Yuqow Aliyow Haji who was accused of being in charge of al-Shabaab’s Amniyat — group’s most feared intelligence wing, was operating in Mogadishu and the road leading to Afgoye.

Haji is said to be behind a mine explosion in Kahda district of the Banadir region, which killed at least 4 people including a mother and her two children as well as a Tuk-Tuk driver.

The Deputy Prosecutor of the Armed Forces Court, Major Ahmed Abdalla said that the man was working with al-Shabaab and was in charge of the bombings, mainly the IED blasts.

Ruqiyo Jama Khayre also appeared in the court and was accused of storing weapons for al-Shabaab which were seized from the areas of Elasha Biyaha, on the outskirts of Mogadishu.

The Chairman of the Military Court, Hassan Ali Noor (Shuute) said at the conclusion of today’s hearing that they will announce the ruling in the next session to be held soon.

Mali Army Uncovers Mass Grave in Kidal
[Garowe] The Malian army said at the weekend it discovered a mass grave in Kidal, a northeastern town recently recaptured from Tuareg rebels.

"This mass grave recalls the atrocities committed by these gunnies who have neither faith nor law," the army said in a statement late Saturday.

It said the discovery was made Thursday during "operations to secure Kidal," without providing further details.

The armed forces said it was carrying out investigations to "bring those responsible to justice."

On November 14, Mali's army retook Kidal, a Tuareg separatist stronghold that had not been under central government control since 2014.

The town was retaken after forces from the UN Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) left their camp in Kidal on October 31 as part of an agreement to withdraw from the country by the end of the year.

The army took power in Mali in a 2020 coup, and after months of worsening relations with MINUSMA, this June asked for their departure.

The withdrawal of some 11,600 UN soldiers and 1,500 coppers has exacerbated tensions in the north of the country, which is contested by the central government, Tuareg separatists, and Islamic bully boys.

The separatist groups are opposed to MINUSMA's camps being turned over to the Malian army, which they say goes against cease-fire accords reached in 2014 and 2015.

The conflict between the Tuareg groups and the army has resumed, with the separatists regularly accusing the army and their allies from the Russian mercenary group Wagner of committing abuses against civilians.

Israel recalls envoy to South Africa after Pretoria calls for Netanyahu's arrest
[IsraelTimes] Israel recalled its Ambassador to South Africa Eli Belotserkovsky for consultations on Monday following a series of highly antagonistic comments and steps by the government in Pretoria over Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.

Earlier on Monday, a South African government minister called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by mid-December.

South Africa has already recalled its own ambassador and diplomatic staff from Israel, and the government has repeatedly described the Israeli campaign in Gaza as "genocide."

Remembering the ‘Boerejode’ 120 years later
Several Jews were involved in the capture not only of Winston Churchill outside Ladysmith, but also in the arrest of Churchill’s fiery aunt, Lady Sarah Churchill, near Mafeking. There is even an amusing Jewish coda to the story of Churchill’s famous escape from captivity in Pretoria. Many years later, the great statesman received an unexpected letter from a certain Sam Judelsohn. In this tongue-in-cheek missive, he informed Churchill that he had been one of his guards who had fortunately been off duty the night of the escape. Had he been at his post, Judelsohn wrote, the history of England would have been very different. Getting into the spirit of things, Churchill sent his reply, “T[hank].G[od]. Sam Judelsohn you weren’t on duty – poor England!”

Houthis release video showing their Sunday hijacking of Israeli-linked shipping vessel in Red Sea
[IsraelTimes] I’m not qualified to judge, of course, but a good deal of that video looks like Arma 3 to me, and part of the rest like a helicopter drone, not the kind of full sized machine that carries actual, full sized people. What say you, dear Reader?

Translation of the Hebrew: The Houthis in Yemen show this: We took control of the Israeli ship yesterday in the Red Sea
The Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
s in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
release a video showing how the group hijacked an Israeli-linked shipping vessel in the Red Sea yesterday.

The footage shows a helicopter landing on the vehicle carrier named the Galaxy Leader, with several button men getting off and taking control of the ship.

Houthi button men can be seen holding the international crew at gunpoint in the video.

One of the Houthi operatives is also seen shouting the group’s slogan while walking through the ship: "God is the Greatest, Death to America, Death to Israel, Cursed be the Jews, Victory to Islam."

The Bahaman-flagged vessel is registered under a British company, which is partially owned by Israeli tycoon Abraham Ungar, who goes by Rami. The vessel was leased out to a Japanese company at the time of the hijacking.

The ship had been sailing from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
to India with an international civilian crew, without any Israelis aboard.

Sirazhudinova called denunciation of support for anti-Semitic actions slander
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Dagestan activist Saida Sirazhudinova called Anna Korobkova's denunciation of support for anti-Semitic actions in Dagestan slander and distortion of information. Sirazhudinova has not yet received any requests from law enforcement agencies in connection with this denunciation.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, the president of the Center for the Study of Global Issues of Contemporary and Regional Problems "Caucasus. World. Development" Saida Sirazhudinova attracted the attention of a well-known informer after commenting on anti-Semitic actions in Dagestan for one of the Western publications.

In August, because of Anna Korobkova’s denunciation, security forces summoned the famous Ingush lawyer Kaloy Akhilgov for an interview. Anna Vasilyevna Korobkova
...now we have two names by which to find her in the Rantburg archives...
is known as the author of numerous denunciations against Russian scientists, human rights activists and other people who act as experts in independent media. A person (or a group of people) operating under this name characterizes himself as a “professional unpaid informer,” anthropologist Alexandra Arkhipova*, who entered into correspondence with Korobkova, reported on April 12. Korobkova herself stated in a letter to Arkhipova that she sent more than 700 denunciations only “in the first year of the special military operation.”
A busy lady. Still, if it fills a need and keeps her from being a charge on the public purse — and it’s not as though she’s a Nazi, like George Soros was as a child.
In connection with Anna Korobkova’s denunciation, law enforcement agencies did not directly contact Saida Sirazhudinova, and she also does not know whether they showed interest in the information presented in the denunciation, Sirazhudinova herself told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent. “At least, I don’t know about it. But Kaloy Akhilgov had problems earlier in connection with her denunciations,” Sirazhudinova said.

She learned about Korobkova’s denunciation from messages from her colleagues. “She sent letters to my places of work, talking about my ‘actions’ and demanding that I be fired,” Sirazhudinova noted.

According to the activist, a denunciation had already been written about her about a year and a half ago, but then it was not connected with Anna Korobkova.

Sirazhudinova is not yet going to write counter statements. “I don’t want to get into this mud. Although if you read her, you will see how much she distorted all the information. Starting with the fact that she wrote that I “supported the protests.” But I did not support, I immediately stated in plain text that the riots were unacceptable "that such behavior is unacceptable for Dagestan. That is, this is slander on her part," Sirazhudinova pointed out.

On October 29, mass riots occurred at Makhachkala airport due to the announcement of the arrival of a flight from Israel. More than 20 people were injured, including nine police officers. By November 18, the courts of Dagestan had received administrative cases of 412 people accused of offenses during the anti-Semitic action and riots at the Makhachkala airport. Several young people were arrested under criminal charges of mass riots, but they do not admit guilt; 27 people appealed their arrest.

From October 26 to 29, mass anti-Semitic actions took place in the cities of three republics of the North Caucasus Federal District. In Cherkessk, protesters demanded that visitors from Israel not be allowed in, and in Nalchik a cultural center was set on fire. In Khasavyurt, Dagestan, hundreds of people gathered at a hotel after messages on social networks that there were refugees from Israel in this hotel, according to the Caucasian Knot report “ Anti-Semitic actions in the North Caucasus: how it happened .” The Caucasian Knot has also prepared a report entitled “ A Wave of Anti-Semitic Actions in the North Caucasus.”

Europe
Spanish pol who on Oct. 7 said Palestinians have ‘right to resist' made a minister
[IsraelTimes] JTA — A Spanish politician who said that Palestinians have "the right to resist after decades of occupation" on October 7, when Hamas terrorists killed some 1,200 people in southern Israel and took at least 240 hostages, was named Spain’s minister of children and youth on Monday.

Sira Rego, who has been a member of the European Parliament since 2019, has a Palestinian father who lives in the West Bank.
Her father may be Palestinian, but 50 year old Sira Abed Rego (a good Moslem name) is a flaming red Communist. Possibly Pops is, too — the original Palestinian parties were pretty much all various flavours of USSR-supported communists.
On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, she has since October 7 mostly posted and reposted content from others on the Israel-Hamas war, including graphic videos from the aftermath of bombings.

When Israel’s embassy in Madrid published a statement on October 16 criticizing "some members of the Spanish government" for their comments on the war, Rego wrote: "Nobody here has defended Hamas. You have been exterminating a people for 75 years." She also reposted tweets that said the "entire Israeli diplomatic delegation must be expelled from the Spanish State" and called Israel "undemocratic and corrupt."

Outrage in Germany as Taliban official speaks at Cologne Mosque
[GEO.TV] Germany has expressed strong condemnation over the appearance of Abdul Bari Omar, a Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
official associated with the health authority in Afghanistan, at a mosque in Cologne
...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth most populated city in Germany....
The event took place during a conference organised by an Afghan association in the city. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser stated that "the appearance of a representative of the Taliban in Cologne is completely unacceptable and must be strongly condemned."

She emphasised the need for Ditib, the Ottoman Turkish-Islamic association managing the mosque, to explain the use of the venue for such an event.
“We are allies in the project to make the entire world subject to the Caliphate, they in Afghanistan and we in Germany. So of course we welcome their representative. And your job, O Unbeliever, is to shut up and accept that you’ve been conquered.”
Ditib's management said piously it had no prior knowledge of the Taliban official's planned appearance.

"Contrary to the original contract, it was transformed into a political event and a speaker who was not known to us had been invited," it said.

Ditib rejected "any proximity — even spiritual — to the Taliban".

The German foreign ministry disclosed that the Taliban official did not possess a visa to enter Germany, indicating that he utilised a Schengen visa issued by a neighbouring country.

Despite the absence of prior approval, Abdul Bari Omar managed to attend the event, reportedly arriving from the Netherlands after participating in a World Health Organization conference in early November.

Since the Taliban's resurgence in August 2021, Western nations have frozen significant amounts of aid and assets, impacting Afghanistan's aid-dependent economy.

Ditib, recognised as one of the largest Islamic organizations in Germany, now faces scrutiny and demands for clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding the controversial appearance of the Taliban official at the Cologne mosque.

George W. Bush, Statement To Joint Session Of Congress September 20th 2001

"In remarks endorsed by the US secretary of state, Colin Powell, Gen Musharraf said any post-Taliban government in Kabul should be "broad-based" and "multi-ethnic". BLM Agitator John Sullivan Convicted of Multiple Jan. 6 Crimes
[American Greatness] A federal jury in the District of Columbia decided Thursday that left-wing agitator John Earle Sullivan
...his slickly produced Insurgence USA website looks like a false-nose-and-mustache thingy to make his general Black Bloc anarcho-communist viciousness look like romantic social activism. Mr. Sullivan, who also goes by Jaydon X, formed the group in response to the death of George Floyd.
didn’t just document the January 6 Capitol Riot—he was a participant, Fox 13 reported.

The jury convicted Sullivan, 29, of five felonies and two misdemeanor charges related to his conduct during the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. He was found guilty of the following felonious offenses: "obstructing an official proceeding, obstructing officers during a civil disorder, entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a dangerous weapon, disorderly or disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds with a dangerous weapon, and unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon on Capitol grounds or buildings."

Additionally, Sullivan was convicted of two misdemeanors: "disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building."

The weapons charges relate to a knife he allegedly brought into the Capitol. Other January 6 defendants have been sentenced to years in prison for similar charges.

Unlike many Trump supporters, Sullivan did not have to wait for his day in court from jail. However, U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth ordered that he be held in custody while he awaits sentencing.

Sullivan was initially booked into custody in Tooele County, Utah under a U.S. Marshall’s warrant on January 14, 2021, after his brother James, a Trump supporter, sent tips to the Salt Lake City FBI. James Sullivan told Fox-13 that he believed his brother John was not only involved with the deadly riot on Jan. 6, he was "somehow in charge."

The Grand Turk
1,000 boats said set to leave Turkey for Gaza waters in new ‘Freedom Flotilla’
[IsraelTimes] Reminiscent of infamous 2010 Mavi Marmara protest, large maritime convoy plans to remain in international waters off Ashdod and disrupt sea trade route to Israel

Approximately 1,000 boats will gather
...and how many of that 1,000 will have to be rowboats to make up the numbers?
in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
on Wednesday before heading toward Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade and disrupt maritime trade coming into Israel during the war with Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
, in an apparent repeat of similar attempts from over a decade ago.

In an interview with Ottoman Turkish news website Haber7, Volkan Okcu, one of the organizers of the protest, indicated the boats will carry 4,500 people from 40 countries,
...lessee: 4,500 people divided among 1,000 boats equals 4.5 persons/boat — oh dear, that will be a bloody mess, and all of them rowboats, too! To continue: If 1,000 boats, each containing four rowers taking it in turn, plus one half of a corpse doing nothing more than bleeding quietly and attracting flies, row 24 hours a day, how long will it take them to get from Istanbul to Gaza City (or whatever the Gaza port is called)? How much longer if the Israeli navy once again blockades the Gaza coast and guides them to the Haifa docks?
"including anti-Zionist Jews."

Among the 1,000 vessels would be 313 boats filled with Russian activists, and 104 filled with Spanish activists, he said. Only 12 Ottoman Turkish vessels will join the flotilla, he told Haber7.

However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
Okcu said in a later tweet that he expected the number of Ottoman Turkish vessels to be much higher, at least 1,000, and insisted that the initiative is not associated with the Ottoman Turkish government. He did not explain the discrepancy in numbers.
Allah wills it. The details are in his hands.
The activist indicated to Haber7 that the flotilla is scheduled to leave Ottoman Turkish coasts on Thursday.
On Thanksgiving Day? That’s not much time to kill 500 unbelievers and cut them neatly in half...
The maritime convoy is set to make a first stop in Cyprus before continuing toward the Israeli port of Ashdod.
Ashdod? And how do they intend to get to Gaza from there?
Some participants in the flotilla will also reportedly take their spouses and children on board.
As the song says, they’ve got to be carefully taught.
Okcu said that the main objective of the operation would be to cause disruption in international waters off the Israeli coast to the maritime trade heading for the port of Ashdod, in order to interrupt the supply of goods to Israel for a week or even up to 10 days.
An act of war, technically, I do believe. But not Turkey’s first against Israel, so there’s that.
The protest action is reminiscent of the attempt by the so-called "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" in May 2010, which tried to breach the maritime blockade on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, but was intercepted by the Israeli Navy.
That was the work of IHH, the Humanitarian Relief Foundation — another branch of the Turkish version of the Muslim Brotherhood funded by the Erdogan government. Starting during the Obama presidency, they’ve repeatedly tried to send relief caravans “to break Israel’s siege of the Gaza Strip”, sometimes by sea and other times by land through Egypt. It keeps the edgy, jihad-adjacent tourists happily occupied...
After the convoy refused Israeli Navy orders to reroute to Ashdod, Israeli commandos boarded one of the ships, the Mavi Marmara, which was carrying over 600 passengers. After being met with violent mostly peaceful resistance the commandos opened fire, killing 10 Ottoman Turkish activists. Ten Israeli soldiers were maimed during the attack.

Following the Mavi Marmara incident, several other flotillas to Gaza were attempted, but largely foiled by Israeli military and diplomatic activities.

"The Zionist regime seems to have no chance to repeat the Mavi Marmara incident," the Ottoman Turkish activist said. "The vessels sail under flags of the US, the UK, Luxembourg, Russian, Germany, Spain, Poland, and many other countries." The activist noted that luxury boats will also join the flotilla and that participants from Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and the USA will spend an average of $14,000 to join.
Golly. Not bad for a weeklong yacht holiday, or so I imagine. Not the kind of thing I’ve ever done.
Okcu vowed that protesters would "strictly follow international rules" and would not carry any weapons, "not even a pocket knife," so as not to give Israel any "excuse" to intervene.

"The moment we enter Gaza’s territorial waters, [Israeli forces] can only search us," the activist said, "or tow us to their ports, and impose fines," but will not be allowed by international law to raid the convoy in international waters, the way they assaulted the Mavi Marmara in 2010. "[Israel] would pay a heavy price for attempting any crazy action against such a large international peace fleet."

The diplomatic crisis between Israel and Turkey that ensued after the Mavi Marmara incident was only solved in 2016, when Jerusalem agreed to pay $20 million in compensation to the families of the victims and to allow Ottoman Turkish aid into Gaza — and in return, Istanbul agreed not to hold any individual Israeli nationals criminally or financially liable for the incident.

The blockade on Gaza was imposed by Israel in 2007, shortly after Hamas took control of the coastal enclave, and enforced in cooperation with neighboring Egypt to prevent the terror group from rearming and becoming an even greater menace, after it repeatedly declared its intention to destroy Israel. The blockade involved a ban on specific goods, and a limitation of the delivery into Gaza of dual-use materials that could be utilized for both civilian and military purposes by Hamas.

Despite the blockade, Hamas since 2007 managed to acquire weaponry and funding, thanks mainly to Iranian and Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i support, and to fire rockets at Israeli towns and cities on a regular basis, causing skirmishes which on repeated occasions escalated into protracted conflict.

The Mavi Marmara incident from 2010 carries particular significance for the Hamas regime in Gaza, as a symbol of international support to ending the blockade. A monument erected in the Gaza port commemorated the event; it was demolished by the IDF on Thursday in the course of Israel’s ongoing war, launched after the October 7 massacres, aimed at destroying Hamas.

The so-called "Freedom Flotilla Coalition," which organized the 2010 blockade breach, recently announced that it intends to sail again to Gaza in the near future to put pressure on the Israeli and US governments to allow "inspected humanitarian goods" to be delivered into Gaza, and invited other organization to join its boats. It is unclear whether the convoy that is set to depart from Turkey on Thursday is organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition or is a separate initiative.

Various attempts were made by international activists after 2010 to bust the blockade, including one by a boat carrying only women in 2016, and another by a Swedish-flagged boat in 2018. In both cases, the vessels were intercepted by the Israeli navy and towed to the port of Ashdod.

Three Moslem Minors Apprehended in Stone Pelting Incident, Eight Women Injured
[OneIndia] Three minors were apprehended in connection with a stone pelting incident in which eight women suffered injuries when they were on their way for a prayer ceremony in Nuh,
...a town in Haryana state, south of India’s Punjab state...
police said on Saturday.

One of them, a nine-year-old, was released on bail after he was produced before the child welfare committee while two others, both aged 12 years, were sent to a correction home after being produced before the juvenile justice board, they said.

At least eight women suffered injuries after some unidentified persons hurled stones at them allegedly from a mosque and madrasa in Nuh on Thursday night.

A senior police officer Saturday said the case is being investigated thoroughly but no role of any other has come to the fore yet.

Police on Friday registered an FIR against unidentified persons in connection with this incident.

Three minors were questioned by the police in the presence of their parents and later apprehended.

On the other hand, the Madrasa authorities claimed that children were playing with slippers and pebbles on the roof when a few accidentally hit the procession.

In a presser on Friday, Pawan Kumar, state president of VHP said that they want strict action against the miscreants. The incident of stone pelting in Nuh has raised concerns about the safety of women and religious freedom in the area. The police have assured that the case is being investigated thoroughly and action will be taken against anyone found guilty.

Despite Zardari's trust, Bilawal remains wary of election fixing
[GEO.TV] Pakistain Peoples Party's (PPP) top leaders' statements about the credibility of the upcoming polls apparently indicate contrast in the party’s policy as Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari
...former president of Pakistain, husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who has been singularly lacking in curiosity about who done her in...
is hopeful of transparent polls while his son Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari raises concerns about manipulation of the results and rigging.

A day after PPP Co-chairman Zardari said the country was moving towards transparent polls, PPP Chairman Bilawal hinted that the results of the poll might have been pre-decided.

"The country is moving towards transparent elections," Zardari had said in a recent statement amid PPP's calls for a "level-playing field", saying that the caretakers — appointed to oversee the country's affairs till an elected government takes charge — were favouring the Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N).

In his address to a rally in Nowshera on Monday, Bilawal warned that his party would not accept the elections if anyone interfered with the results, reiterating his demand for transparent polls.

"Parties with a 2/3 majority say they have reached an agreement [regarding upcoming set up]," Bilawal said, without elaborating further about who had made a deal with whom.

"There’s no use of an election if the results are pre-decided," Bilawal warned, noting that if anyone becomes the prime minister, then others will protest and hold sit-ins against the newly formed government.

Pakistain has a history of parties not accepting results and alleging outside interference after the announcement of results, with the winning candidates saying that the polls were transparent.

"We will only accept the choice of the people, not anyone else’s," Bilawal stated, noting that the only solution out of the quagmire for the country is "transparent polls".

The Election Commission of Pakistain has announced February 8, 2024, as the date for general polls across the country, with the PML-N also holding meetings with politicos to strengthen its position ahead of the polls.

In a similar stance, the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf

UN chief calls for interim Arab-US force to control Gaza after war
In which the UN secretary-general rears up on his hind legs to prove that he’s an idiot, which does not surprise anyone who has been paying even a particle of attention. For another eruption, see here,
[IsraelTimes] Guterres says United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
protectorate would not work, but plan for post-war international force and eventual Paleostinian Authority takeover already rejected by Netanyahu, Arabs.

A UN protectorate in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
after the current Israel-Hamas
...a regional Iranian catspaw,...
war would not solve the conflict there, the world body’s secretary-general said Monday, calling instead for a "transition period," involving Arab nations and the United States, and leading to a two-state solution.

António Guterres
...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years...
said it was "important to be able to transform this tragedy into an opportunity" — which, for him, meant moving "in a determined and irreversible way to a two-state solution."

That would mean, after the current war between Israel and Hamas Death Eaters in Gaza ends, "a strengthened Paleostinian Authority assuming responsibilities in Gaza," he said.

But the PA cannot go into Gaza backed by Israeli tanks, he added — meaning the "international community needs to look into a transition period."

"I do not think that a UN protectorate in Gaza is a solution," however, Guterres said.

Instead, he called for a "multi-stakeholder approach" that would see the US act as the "main guarantor" of Israel’s security, while Arab nations are "essential" to support Paleostinians.

“Everybody needs to come together to create the conditions for the transition, allowing for a strengthened Palestinian Authority to assume responsibilities in Gaza,” and from there to a two-state solution, he said.

The Palestinian Authority used to rule Gaza until 2007, when it was overthrown by Hamas. It continues to rule parts of the West Bank, but is widely viewed as corrupt and ineffective.

Gutteres’s plan also conflicts with Israel’s current stated plans for Gaza’s post-war future.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not yet elaborated on who will run Gaza once Hamas is eliminated, but has said that the PA is “not fit” in its current form to govern the Strip, and has also rebuffed calls for an international force.

Additionally, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi told the Manama Security Forum on Saturday that “no Arab troops” would be deployed in Gaza after the war.

Iraq
33 years later: story behind British people turned into human shields by Saddam Hussein
[Shafaq News] Sky Documentaries has commissioned documentary feature, Flight 149 (w/t) from Drum Studios.

The film will explore the dramatic moment when the passengers of BA Flight 149 were taken hostage.

On 2nd August 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Hours later, BA Flight 149 from London lands in Kuwait City for a scheduled stop with over 385 men, women and kiddies on board. With Kuwait City under occupation, Saddam Hussein broadcasts to the world that the passengers of the plane are now his ’guests’ and are not allowed to leave. They are held as human shields in military and chemical plants across Iraq in a rapidly escalating international crisis.

Over the next five months, a tense hostage story unfolds with the world watching. It coincides with a pivotal moment in geopolitical history that will change the West’s relationship with the Middle East forever. The hostages become pawns caught up with a ruthless dictator, a plane full of spies, a British government cover-up and unexpected involvement from Richard Branson.

During their time in captivity, the hostages endure near starvation, mock executions, rape and a constant fear of never making it home.

Thirty-three years later, a group of those hostages are now taking the British government and BA to court in their search for justice and the truth. Why was the plane allowed to land in the first place? What secret is the British government still determined to hide? Will they ever find closure to their horrific ordeal?

This film will feature testimony from all sides of the story — including the hostages themselves, politicians from both sides of the Atlantic and the men and women from the Kuwaiti resistance who risked their lives to hide the hostages. For the first time, we will hear from people who knew Saddam Hussein. They will offer a unique insight into the psychology of the dictator at this sliding door moment in his relationship with the West.

#2  On 1 August, 1990, British Airways Flight 149 departed from Heathrow airport, destined for Kuala Lumpur. It never made it there, and neither did its nearly 400 passengers. Instead, Flight 149 stopped to refuel in Kuwait, as Iraqi troops amassed on the border - delivering the passengers and crew into the hands of Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi army, to be used as 'human shields' during their invasion. Why did BA flight 149 proceed with plans to refuel in Kuwait City, even as all other flights were rerouted - and even though British and American governments had clear intelligence that Saddam was about to invade? The answer lies in an exchange of favours at the highest echelons of government, and a secret, unaccountable organization - authorised by Margaret Thatcher - carrying out a 'deniable' intelligence operation to sneak in a group of intelligence offers into Kuwait aboard the flight. The plane was the 'Trojan Horse', and the plan - as well as the horrific, traumatic consequences for the civilian passengers - has been lied about, denied and covered up by successive British Governments ever since. Soon to be a major TV drama, this explosive book is written with the full cooperation of the survivors, as well as astonishing and conclusive input from a senior intelligence source. It is a story of scandal, betrayal and misuse of intelligence at the highest levels of UK and US governments - which has had direct, horrifying impact on terror attacks in the West and the shape of the Middle East today. It is high time the truth is told.

#3  The plane was the 'Trojan Horse', and the plan - as well as the horrific, traumatic consequences for the civilian passengers - has been lied about, denied and covered up by successive British Governments ever since.

I'm inclined to think - and this is strictly IMHO - that any author who believes a professional intelligence service would use the name 'Trojan Horse' for a plan like this shouldn't be allowed out without a keeper.

Patrushev held talks with the head of the Iraqi militia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev held negotiations in Moscow with the head of the Iraqi people's militia, Falih al-Fayyad .
Why is Secretary Patrushev meeting with an Iranian catspaw?
The press service of the Russian Security Council reported this on November 20.

“The parties discussed some aspects of Russian-Iraqi cooperation in the field of security, as well as the situation in the Middle East,” the statement said.
Going to send them the reconstituted Wagner PMC, too?
As Regnum reported , Patrushev said that the United States provoked an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Instead of working to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Washington is supplying weapons and aircraft carriers to the region, he added.
Whereas Russia provides S-300s and S-400s, which somehow never reveal rhe incoming Israeli bombers until it’s too late..
The leaders of the BRICS countries will gather on November 21 for an emergency meeting on the situation in the Gaza Strip via videoconference, the press service of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa reported . Following the South African leader's opening remarks, representatives of BRICS members and invited states will make statements regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Lots of mustache-cursing on the agenda, but nothing material because not one of them wants to bell the Israeli cat.

After falsely accusing IDF of killing Israeli civilians, PA says ‘priority now is not to engage in spats’
[IsraelTimes] The Paleostinian Authority responds to a speech by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last night, in which he slammed the PA for falsely accusing Israel of carrying out the October 7 massacre at an outdoor rave party in southern Israel.

In a declaration by PA presidential front man Nabil Abu Rudeineh, Ramallah says that "the priority now [...] is not to engage in spats and trivial issues that do not deserve a response," adding that "Netanyahu’s statements since the beginning of the aggression prove that this government seeks to perpetuate its occupation of all the Paleostinian territories."

"President Abbas’s efforts are currently focused on stopping the barbaric Israeli aggression against the Paleostinian people and their holy places in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. , the West Bank, and Jerusalem," Abu Rudeineh adds.

The PA’s Foreign Ministry additionally accuses Israel of fabricating media material to justify its offensive against the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, the PA Foreign Ministry falsely claimed in a statement that the Israel Defense Forces was responsible for the death of all the partygoers near Kibbutz Re’im during Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
’s October 7 onslaught. The claim originated in a detail from a Haaretz story published on Saturday that was widely picked up in the Arab press and shared on social media, distorted and taken out of context.

In a video released on Sunday in Hebrew and English, Netanyahu responded harshly to the accusation, calling the statement "utterly preposterous" and a "complete reversal of truth."

Netanyahu also said that PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
, "who in the past has denied the existence of the Holocaust, today is denying the existence of the Hamas massacre and that’s unacceptable."

Following the Israeli backlash, the PA Foreign Ministry deleted its statement from its social media accounts on Sunday night, but Hebrew media said it was sent as a document to diplomats and to the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
The PA foreign minister did not respond to a request for comment.

IDF: We questioned 300 terror operatives; others from Gaza willingly providing intel on Hamas
[IsraelTimes] The IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 — which specializes in HUMINT (human intelligence) — has questioned a total of some 500 Paleostinians and has made millions of calls to civilians to evacuate northern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. since the beginning of the fighting in the Strip.

Dozens of Arabic-speaking Unit 504 soldiers are on the ground in the Gaza Strip, alongside the combat units, carrying out field interrogations and providing intelligence to forces. Unit 504 has doubled its personnel amid the fighting, and established a new sub-unit specifically for southern Israel.

The IDF in a statement says it has established a detention facility in southern Israel to bring detainees from the Gaza Strip for questioning.

So far, some 300 terror operatives — from Hamas
...one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,...
, Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
, and other groups — and suspects have been brought to the facility for interrogation, the IDF says.

It says that the terror operatives and suspects provided the interrogators with the locations of Hamas tunnel networks and weapons depots, as well as detailing the terror group’s methods of operation, including their use of human shields.

"Each and every investigation leads to the incrimination of new sites, and the human intelligence that emerges... is an inseparable layer of the complete intelligence picture," says a senior Unit 504 officer.

"We received thousands of phone calls from [Paleostinians willing to provide information] at a magnitude never before seen in the unit.“
The IDF publishes three videos showing detainees detailing to Unit 504 interrogators Hamas’s use of hospitals for terror purposes. The men describe how they hid at Shifa and Rantisi hospitals, the Red Thingy building, and other medical centers, while Hamas used the sites to fight against the IDF.

Unit 504 also has sources in the Gaza Strip that have been providing information that is translated into intelligence for the ground forces.

"We received thousands of phone calls from [Paleostinians willing to provide information] at a magnitude never before seen in the unit. It is evident that the residents of the Gaza Strip are not satisfied with the barbaric behavior of Hamas, the ordinary citizen understands that Hamas is bringing a disaster on the residents of Gaza that will be difficult for them to recover from," the senior officer adds.

As part of the IDF’s efforts to evacuate Paleostinians from northern Gaza amid the ground offensive, Unit 504 has made more than 30,000 calls, sent more than 10 million text messages, and more than nine million recorded messages to Gazook civilians. The IDF has also dropped some four million leaflets warning Paleostinians of the dangers of staying in northern Gaza.

The IDF says the evacuation from northern Gaza allows it to carry out heavier strikes and operate more widely in the area against Hamas infrastructure. Airstrikes still continue in southern Gaza at the same time, with only the small al-Mawasi area along the coast declared by the IDF as a "safe zone."

#2  It would have been helpful if IDF intel had warned the leadership of the anti-judicial overhaul/anti-Bibi protesters, since they were the ones deliberately creating the weakness.

But then, so many at the top levels of the IDF were anti-Bibi as well — and I suspect still are.

Technion says students, faculty experiencing antisemitism, anti-Israel sentiment can join the institute
[IsraelTimes] One of Israel’s premier universities, The Technion — Israel Institute of Technology, issues a general invitation to students, researchers and teachers around the world to continue their work in Israel.

"Following the surge of antisemitism and anti-Israel rhetoric around the world, the Technion invites undergraduate and graduate students and academic faculty residing abroad to come to our campuses in Haifa to carry out their research, teaching and learning," the university says in a statement.

The invitation extends to faculty, post-doctorate researchers, and current and potential students of all levels at universities abroad, subject to an application and approval process. Due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas

war, the start of the academic year at The Technion, like most of the other research universities in the country, has been pushed back to at least December 24.

Because of the current climate on campuses worldwide, "many Jewish and Israeli students and researchers currently face physical and verbal threats that cause them to think twice about everything they do and prevent them from participating in academic activities in those institutions... we have announced a program for the rapid integration of students and faculty members from around the world looking for an academic refuge during these difficult times," Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan says.

#3  Looks like Israel is not except from the "IQ" standards, to wit, the bottom half of the IQ curve works at Technion.
