Hemetti reaffirms readiness to sign comprehensive peace agreement
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Mohammed Hamdan Daglo "Hemetti", Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Tuesday reiterated his commitment to ending the ongoing war in Sudan

It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. Addressing a joint presser with former Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok in the Æthiopian capital, Hemetti expressed his desire for a "real peace" that would bring an end to the conflict with the army and involve all parties to the Sudanese crisis.

He called on Hamdok, who heads the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddum), to initiate dialogue with the leaders of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM)-Abdel Wahid and the SPLM-N led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu to secure their participation in the grinding of the peace processor.

"We are extending our hands for peace and the cessation of hostilities in the country," Hemetti declared. "Our meeting in Addis Ababa is for peace, and we hope that the second party will pursue the path of peace."

Hemetti accused the Sudanese army of engaging in ethnic cleansing of the people of Darfur and Kordofan, where hundreds of civilians have been killed under the pretence of being RSF members.

Sudan's deputy chairman brushes off Addis Ababa Declaration
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar, dismissed the Addis Ababa Declaration signed between the Coordination of Civilian Democratic Forces (Taqaddum) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), characterizing it as a non-starter due to the alleged alliance between them against the military-led government.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Agar stated, "The recent signing is an agreement between partners, as Taqaddum and the RSF are essentially one body with two faces. There is nothing new or groundbreaking here."

He labelled the political forces that signed the Addis Ababa Declaration with the paramilitary forces as "the well-known political incubator of the RSF and staunch supporters of their rebellion".

The Addis Declaration, aimed at halting the ongoing conflict, outlines provisions for protecting civilians and facilitating humanitarian access. It also mandates unconditional direct negotiations between the RSF and the Sudan

ese army.

The meeting between the civilian forces and the RSF commander Mohammed Hamdan Daglo "Hemetti" followed letters from the coalition head and former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, expressing a desire to engage with both warring parties to discuss ways to end the war and restore civilian rule in Sudan.

Agar, however, denied any plans for a similar meeting with Sovereign Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. He remarked, "We have no knowledge of any meeting between Taqaddum and the Sudanese government. We are unsure of what Taqaddum even is — is it a political entity? We have no information on this matter."

He underscored that no request to meet with Taqaddum had been received, stating, "We only heard about it as everyone else did."

Regarding their stance if a call to meet with Taqaddum were to materialize, Agar declared, "We will cross this bridge when we come to it and decide whether or not to proceed."

On Wednesday, Hamdok reiterated his call for an urgent meeting with the army leadership to discuss ways to halt the devastating conflict.

Referring to the upcoming meeting between the Sudanese army and RSF commanders in Djibouti, Agar stated that it would focus on implementing the Jeddah Agreement.

#1  The Sudan's Arab military (SAF) is being backed into a corner. "Hemedti’s meeting with civilian leaders led by former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok continues his recent shuttle diplomacy with trips outside of the country since the war began. Hamdok is the leader of the Civil Front for Democracy, one of the movements in the Committee group that had pushed for immediate civilian-led governance. He was Prime Minister of the Transitional Government until October 2021 when he and his administration were deposed, incidentally by Hemedti and his then-ally Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the leader of the Sudan Armed Forces."

British and Cypriot aid screened in Cyprus heads to Gaza via Egypt
[IsraelTimes] Incorporating Israeli security officials, Cypriots say they have successfully tested a screening mechanism for cargo that could eliminate need for checks in Israel.

Britannia and Cyprus have sent 87 tons of aid to Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
via Egypt, the two countries said on Tuesday, with Cypriot officials saying they had successfully tested a screening mechanism for cargo offering an alternative route for badly needed supplies.

The January 1 delivery to Port Said in Egypt for transfer to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing fell short of Cyprus’s ultimate objective to establish a direct aid corridor to the Paleostinian enclave. But, for the first time, it offered a workaround on how aid could be accelerated by eliminating security checks in Israel itself, officials said.

The Cypriot initiative to create a sustained, one-way sea route into Gaza entails aid undergoing security checks in Cyprus by government agencies, including from Israel, before being dispatched onwards from the eastern Mediterranean island.

"The international community now has a workable alternative at its disposal to send additional humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza," Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides said in a written statement.

But underscoring logistical challenges, the British Royal Fleet auxiliary ship which offloaded thermal blankets, shelter packs and medicine in Egypt on Monday was at sea for at least 10 days awaiting clarity as to whether it could sail directly to Gaza, individuals with knowledge of the situation said.

The direct route is not currently executable due to requirements including security matters which have "not been met at this point in time," one of those sources said.

"The situation is very dynamic and we will continue to deliberate with all relevant stakeholders on the best time and way to operationalize the initiative," the source said.

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron
...Empty suit Brit pol, former PM, has stated that he is certainly a big Thatcher fan, but I don't know whether that makes me a Thatcherite, which means he's not. Since he is not deeply ideological he lacks core principles and is easily led. He has been described as certainly not a Pitt, Elder or Younger, but he does wear a nice suit so maybe he's Beau Brummel...
said Britannia was committed to supporting the people of Gaza.

"Significantly more aid needs to reach Gaza to alleviate the suffering of the Paleostinian people," he said.

France revokes the citizenship of a native of Chechnya convicted of training militants
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] France deprived of French citizenship of a native of Chechnya, Khasanbek Turchaev,
...also spelt Khassanbek Turchaev, but not in our archives under either name...
who was sentenced in 2019 to 10 years in prison for training militants in Syria. The corresponding document was published on the website of the official government gazette Journal officiel.

“By a resolution of January 2, 2024, based on the relevant conclusion of the State Council, Khasanbek Turchaev, born on January 25, 1970 in Grozny, Russia (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), is deprived of French citizenship,” the document says.

As reported by IA Regnum, in November 2019, a guilty verdict was handed down in France to Khasanbek Turchaev, a native of Chechnya. A jury in Paris sentenced him to 10 years in prison for training militants in Syria.

Turchaev, who arrived in France to live from Chechnya in 2002, admitted in court that in the period from 2013 to 2014 he was in Syria, but, according to him, not at all to participate in hostilities on the territory of illegal armed groups. The accused stated that he was allegedly looking for his brothers in Syria.

However, the investigation received information that Turchaev, having left his wife and children in Strasbourg, arrived in Syria to participate in the war on the side of the militants and even trained them in the use of explosives. He was the so-called emir of one of the gang groups. In 2015, a native of Chechnya was detained in Moldova and extradited to France.

France revokes the citizenship of a refugee from Chechnya

A native of Chechnya, Khasanbek Turchaev, who is serving a sentence in the case of participating in the war in Syria on the side of militants, has been deprived of French citizenship.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, a court in France in November 2019 sentenced a native of Chechnya, Khasanbek Turchaev, to 10 years in prison, recognizing him as a participant in the fighting in Syria on the side of a terrorist organization. According to the court, Turchaev participated in combat operations in Syria, and also trained militants in sniper rifle shooting and explosives production, and was also an emir.

Khasanbek Turchaev, a 53-year-old native of Chechnya, who emigrated to France in 2002, having received the status of a political refugee, has been deprived of French citizenship, the Kavkaz.Realii publication reported today*. As stated in the publication, he received citizenship in 2008.

Le Parisien reported that Khasanbek Turchaev, the son of the former Minister of Energy of Chechnya, studied law in Grozny from 1994 to 1998, and subsequently worked in the criminal police of the Chechen capital. Turchaev was arrested in the summer of 2015 in Moldova, he stated that he was tortured there, and then was deported to France. At the trial, Turchaev claimed that he did not go to Syria to fight, but, on the contrary, to convince his two brothers to return to Europe, but they died in Syria. He also stated that this case is part of “a conspiracy conceived by Russian intelligence services with the complicity of the French judicial system,” according to the publication dated November 7, 2019.

According to the French publication Actu17, the decree depriving Turchaev of French citizenship was published today. Turchaev's adult children live in Alsace.

The deprivation of Khasanbek Turchaev's French citizenship is part of a wider pattern: between 2019 and 2023, France announced at least twenty cases of deprivation of citizenship for reasons related to terrorism. This measure, which only applies to dual citizens not born in France, is usually used in cases of attacks on the fundamental interests of the nation or convictions for terrorist crimes, the publication notes.

Let us recall that on October 13, 2023, a teacher was killed at a school in Arras in France, and two more people were stabbed as a result of the attack. French media named the attacker as 20-year-old Mohamad Mogushkov, a native of Chechnya, whose family came to France from Ingushetia. On October 19, French media reported that Mogushkov was placed under arrest and refused to communicate with investigators; his younger brother and cousin were arrested. Also, according to them, Mogushkov’s father was deported from France for involvement in terrorism and lives in Georgia.

On October 16, 2023, the French Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that about 60 people, including people from the North Caucasus republics, would be expelled from France after an attack on a school in the city of Arras, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. On October 20, French media reported the detention of a 15-year-old native of Chechnya who was standing with a knife near a synagogue in Strasbourg. In his phone, law enforcement officers found threats to open fire at the lyceum with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, and in his browser history a search for prices for such weapons.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that a court in France in early November 2023 sentenced Abdul Hakim Anaev, a native of Chechnya, to 10 years in prison. He was found guilty of inciting the terrorist attack of Khamzat Azimov, who attacked passers-by with a knife in Paris, killing one and injuring four others.

Earlier, on October 16, 2020, history and geography teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded in France, who had previously shown his students caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad from Charlie Hebdo magazine during a lesson on freedom of speech. When detained, the alleged killer shouted: “Allahu Akbar!” and was shot dead by police. He turned out to be a Russian citizen of Chechen origin, 18-year-old Abdulak (Abdullah) Anzorov, who was granted refugee status in France.

In December 2020, Anzorov was buried with honors in the Urus-Martan region of Chechnya. About 200 people took part in the farewell ceremony, mainly relatives and close families of the Anzorovs. For security reasons, local authorities introduced a special access regime; mainly local residents were allowed into the village, and 65 police officers were stationed in the surrounding area.

From 2019:
Chechen native convicted in Paris for links with Syrian militants

[CaucasianKnot] A court in La Belle France sentenced Khasanbek Turchaev, a native of Chechnya, to 10 years in prison, after finding him guilty of taking part in warfare in Syria on the side of a terrorist organization. In 2002, Khasanbek Turchaev received asylum in La Belle France; and in 2008, he received a French citizenship.

According to the court, Turchaev participated in battles in Syria, and also trained faceless myrmidons in sniper rifle shooting and manufacture of explosives, the Le Figaro writes.

Besides, according to Sherlocks, Turchaev was Emir of a grouping that was part of the terrorist organization “Imarat Kavkaz",
...Caucasus Emirate in English, it was established in 2007 by Chechen warlord Dokka Umarov as the local Al Qaeda franchise, but by 2015 most of the membership had moved to Syria as a branch of ISIS (Vilayat Kavkaz)...
banned in Russia, the "MBKh Media" has added.

Turchaev has admitted that in 2013 and 2014 he spent about three months in Syria; but he has emphasized that he went there "to search for his brothers, not to fight." "I didn't fight, I defended myself," Turchaev has stressed.

He also explained that he was the Emir for "only 15 days." "When I was at the frontline, the Emir died during a battle, so they needed a boss. Young people loved me; they asked me to become the Emir's heir," the newspaper quotes Turchaev as saying.

Biden campaign staffers issue letter protesting Israel-Hamas war, call for cease-fire, end of aid to Israel
[FoxNews] Biden campaign staff issued an anonymous letter protesting the president's approach to the Israel-Hamas war

Over a dozen of President Biden's campaign staffers, hired to re-elect the president, issued an anonymous letter Wednesday, protesting Biden's approach to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

In a letter shared on Medium, 17 current Biden for President staffers called for Biden to advocate for an immediate cease-fire in the war started by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas' surprise attack on innocent Israelis.

"As your staff, we believe it is both a moral and electoral imperative for you to publicly call for a cessation of violence," the staffers wrote in the letter.

The anonymous letter argued that the deaths of Palestinians "cannot be justified."

"Complicity in the death of over 20,000 Palestinians, 8,200 of whom are children, simply cannot be justified."

The staffers said that Israel's "indiscriminate" bombings in Gaza are "fundamentally antithetical" to Biden's belief in justice, empathy and the dignity of human life.

"We joined this campaign because the values that you — and we — share are ones worth fighting for. Justice, empathy, and our belief in the dignity of human life is the backbone of not only the Democratic Party, but of the country," the letter said. "However, your administration’s response to Israel’s indiscriminate bombing in Gaza has been fundamentally antithetical to those values — and we believe it could cost you the 2024 election."

In addition to calling for an immediate cease-fire, the 17 individuals urged Biden's administration to end unconditional military aid to Israel and advocated for a deescalation in the region, including the release of hostages.

The letter also urged the Democratic president to investigate whether Israel’s actions in Gaza violate the Leahy Law, which prohibits the U.S. military from funding foreign military forces implicated in gross violations of human rights.

The aides argued that a majority of Democrats support an end to Israel’s bombings in Gaza.

"Americans, especially young Americans, feel extraordinarily passionate about this issue. In fact, 72% of voters under 30 — a key Democratic voting bloc — disapprove of your handling of the conflict in Gaza," the letter said.

The staffers argued that it is not "merely enough to be an alternative to Donald Trump," but Biden needs to support a cease-fire.

"It is not enough to merely be the alternative to Donald Trump," the letter said. "The campaign has to shift the feeling in the pits of voters’ stomachs, the same feeling that weighs on us every day as we fight for your reelection. The only way to do that is to call for a cease-fire."

Earlier in Dec, dozens of staffers protested their boss's Israel policy.

"Ceasefire" was spelled out with lit candles in front of the protesters with a sign behind them reading, "President Biden, your staff demands a cease-fire."

Company HQ is in Tel Aviv. So they offset the cost of flying there by not having to rent space for the meeting. Plus Tel Aviv apparently has amazing restaurants and nightlife, and probably shopping to match to amuse the spouses while the board is working. I’ve not yet been to Israel, so I can’t speak from personal experience — many of the countries Mr. Wife went for business would have looked askance at an Israeli stamp in his passport, so that was to have been a post-retirement trip ... or so we intended before I got sick. Now such things are beyond my ability until more is learnt about long covid and long influenza.

The International Court of Justice in The Hague will next week hold hearings on a filing by South Africa that alleges "genocidal acts against the people in Gaza" and seeks to order Israel to end the military operation.

South Africa's request to end Israel's military operation in Gaza will be heard next week at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

"This submission is meritless, counterproductive and completely without any basis in fact whatsoever," White House National Security Council front man John Kirby told a briefing.

State Department front man Matthew Miller said separately that from a US assessment, "We have not at this point seen acts that constitute genocide."

"Genocide is, of course, a heinous atrocity," Miller told news hounds. "Those are allegations that should not make be made lightly."

South Africa has often criticized Israel and alleged parallels to its history of apartheid.

In The Hague application, South Africa says that Israel has been acting "with the requisite specific intent... to destroy Paleostinians in Gaza as part of the broader Paleostinian national, racial and ethnical group."

#4  NYPOST: CNN said it was cutting ties with a freelance producer Thursday after posts praising Hamas terrorism and expressing support for “#TeamHitler” were exposed, adding to a series of accusations relating to the network’s purported bias against the Jewish State.
Earlier this week, pro-Israel media watchdog group HonestReporting reported on tweets from Idris Mukhtar Ibrahim, who worked as a freelancer covering a range of international stories for CNN – including Israel. In one example, Ibrahim co-wrote a story on a Nov. 13 article about Israel’s incoming coalition. the same day, HonestReporting editor Akiva Van Koningsveld published a report revealing Ibrahim’s history of anti-Semitic rhetoric online, arguing that it “calls into question his ability to impartially report on the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

#5  It's old news that Hamas was operating within and beneath Shifa Hospital. Ive seen many articles and even drawings of the underground complex over the years in the public domain. American Intel has known of it's existence for a long time, to say otherwise is a flat out lie. I would bet there are many articles within the 'Burg archives.

University of Haifa suspends 8 Arab students for alleged praise of Oct. 7 massacre
[IsraelTimes] Rector says students hailed incursion, posted images of Hamas onslaught; students to be barred from campus until end of hearings The University of Haifa suspended eight Arab students until the end of disciplinary proceedings, over accusations they expressed support on social media for Hamas’s October 7 massacre in southern Israel, according to a Hebrew media report Monday.

The University of Haifa suspended eight Arab students until the end of disciplinary proceedings, over accusations they expressed support on social media for Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
’s October 7 massacre in southern Israel, according to a Hebrew media report Monday.

The disciplinary committee involved in the proceedings initially canceled the suspension handed down by Guy Alroey, the rector of the university, pending the conclusion of hearings, but then reversed its decision at the end of last week, shortly before the opening of the school year at the university Sunday, the Haaretz daily reported.

The panel said in its decision that it was "taking a broad responsibility for the university community — a responsibility that is required in this tumultuous period."

The students, most of whom are represented by the Arab civil rights organization Adalah, said the suspension would negatively impact their education, and that the university did not specify what damage their presence would cause to campus life, Haaretz reported.

The university’s academic senate told the students that the charges "could not be taken lightly," even if the disciplinary measures would impact their learning, the report said.

Alroey told the Haaretz daily that students shared "stirring" photos of the onslaught on their accounts, captioning them with "good morning" and "they deserve it," necessitating the measure.

During the October 7 massacre, thousands of Hamas-led turbans rampaged through southern communities, killing some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping some 240 people others to Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Alroey reasoned in his request for their suspension that the presence of the students on campus could spark "extreme situations."

In his letter to six of the students whom he suspended a few days after the war, Alroey wrote the measure was needed to protect staff and students, and that "students affected by the war need our protection and support now, more than anyone else."

Witnesses present at the initial disciplinary hearing said Alroey controversially showed seven minutes of disturbing footage from the October 7 massacre, intending to justify the swift suspension of the students.

"The complaints against the students brought to the disciplinary committee were serious," the University of Haifa said in its response to the report. "The decision of the disciplinary committee, which is an independent committee, speaks for itself, and we respect its decisions."

Adalah said if the university wanted to prevent a tense atmosphere on campus, it would have avoided the "selective enforcement" of its rules against Arab students.

"This measure doesn’t only harm the students’ presumption of innocence, but it also conveys a threatening message intended to dampen any critical discourse towards the war," the group stated, adding that the reversal of its decision to cancel the suspension was unfair.

It also said that it was "absurd" that the rector served as the point of contact for an appeal for the decision given that he requested the suspension.

Out of the hundreds of disciplinary processes that have been launched against mostly Arab students during the war for allegations of supporting terror, rulings have been made in 65 cases, according to data from Adalah. Only 12 proceedings have ended in the expulsion of a student.

Half of the rulings have found them innocent, six students have been given an "educational punishment" — such as writing an apology letter or performing community service and 14 processes have ended in temporary suspensions, according to the group.

, Al Jazeera reported citing reports from Israel’s Zman Yisrael media.

"Congo will be willing to take in migrants colonists and we’re in talks with others," the Hebrew news site quoted a senior source in Israel’s security cabinet as saying.

The site also quoted Israel’s Intelligence Minister Gila Gamliel advocating for the displacement of Gaza residents.

"At the end of the war... There will be no work, and 60% of Gaza’s agricultural land will become security buffer zones," said Gamliel, according to Zman Yisrael.

Rights advocates have criticised wartime calls to evacuate Paleostinians from Gaza, arguing they aim to ethnically cleanse the besieged region. The US, a staunch supporter of Israel, has also expressed opposition to these plans.

US State Department front man Matthew Miller on Tuesday called the rhetoric "inflammatory and irresponsible".

"What happened yesterday with the death of one of the leaders of Hamas is yet another factor that could push the conflict to escalate," Borrell said, adding he had plans to visit the Middle East, including Leb

Borrell also said he would present to the EU member states a proposal to create a mission to contribute to security in the Red Sea. The proposal is set to be presented on Thursday and would require unanimity among member states for it to go ahead, he said.
