Hilarious video shows US soldier kicked by a camel in Afghanistan for a dare
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A hilarious video has gone viral which shows a US soldier kicked by a camel in Afghanistan while he tries to smack the animal on its backside.

The soldier who appears to be named Frank was reportedly going through a bet a slap a camel on its backside but received a hard kick in the side from the animal leaving his comrades in hysterical laughter.

The soldiers were apparently on a patrol when they came across with the camel and one of the soldiers worked up enough courage to try and touch it.

One of the soldiers holding the camera said "Okay this might be the worst idea in the whole f******* world but ready, Frank?"

Replying to another soldier's call to touch the animal, Frank says "Touch him? He's gonna buck me. I just want to smack him in the a** and get out of here."

"He's going to bite the s*** out of you," some of the onlookers said as if they already knew what to expect.

Kneeling over in pain before walking away as his comrades continue laughing, the soldier says "Not as cool as I thought."

It is not clear when and where the video was made but it was posted to LiveLeak on Monday and has since been viewed more 87,000 times.

ISIS loyalists vow to eliminate Durand Line
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) loyalists aiming to gain a foothold in Afghanistan have vowed to eliminate the Durand Line in a bid to unite and pave the way for the Moslems divided by the line.

A front man for the terror group's self-proclaimed Khurasan province said the Islamic State eye to destroy the borders similar as they did between Iraq and Syria.

The porous Durand Line has also been a source of tension between Afghanistan and Pakistain where numerous cross-border attacks have been carried out besides the bordering regions have long been and continues to be the main shelter of the terror groups.

In the meantime, affiliates of the terror group have doubled efforts to encourage the dissident high level Taliban capos to join the ISIS group in a bid to further gain foothold in the country.

The front man for the terror group said a delegation of prominent scholars have been sent by the group's Khurasan province chief to Uruzgan province to meet with the senior Taliban leader Mullah Mansoor Dadullah.

This comes as the group claimed yesterday that Mullah Dadullah was rescued from an offensive by the Talibs involving 2,100 fighters in southern Zabul province.

He said at least 230 ISIS fighters were deployed to Zabul from western Farah province to engage the Talibs and rescue Mullah Dadullah.

He also claimed that Mullah Abdul Manan, the brother of the Taliban founder Mullah Mohammad Omar, prefers to join the ISIS group rather than pledging allegiance to the newly appointed Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.

#1  Want to make the Durand Line work? Salt the border with radioactive Cesium which has a short half-life. FYI: It was suggested by MacArthur to halt the Chinese crossing into North Korea, but was rejected out of hand by Truman. Now the Muslims aren't so sensitive and they might buy it.

#2  The Durand Line was supposed to end in 199X after what the territories were supposed to return to Afghanistan. Pakistan inherited those territories from the British Empire but didn't respect the treaty signed by the British. Because Pakistan is a mosaic of people who have nothing in common but Islam in its corrupt elite has fueled religious extremism to the populace and specially between the Pashtoons. The sooner the NWFP provinces return to Afghanistan and Pakistan implodes the better. Of course, that is not ISIS' objective when they say they will eliminate the Durand Line. What its people want is global caliphate.

#3  Too bad their arch-enemies can't redraw borders and behead people who disagree with them.

Although I suppose some might consider a nuclear attack on the Persian capital city as a "beheading" of sorts.

Somali Islamists Claim to be Holding Uganda Soldiers Hostage
[AnNahar] Somalia's Islamist Shabaab bandidos krazed killers claimed Wednesday to be holding Ugandan troops hostage after an attack last week, although Kampala has said all its troops are accounted for.

"The soldiers are in the mujahedeen jail," Shabaab front man Abdiaziz Abu Musab said in a statement broadcast on the Al-Qaeda-linked group's Radio Andalus, but gave no further details on the alleged hostages.

"They are healthy, we will provide their names, ranks and other details very soon," he added.

Uganda has said 12 troops with the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) died in the attack, with no prisoners taken, after Shabaab bully boyz overran a military camp in southern Somalia on September 1.

However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
Western military sources said at least 50 AU soldiers from Uganda were believed to have been killed and another 50 were missing.

Ugandan army front man Paddy Ankunda responded that "Western sources on fatalities in Somalia are wrong." AMISOM has in the past denied and downplayed soldier casualties.

Somalia's Al-Qaeda affiliate, which has recently lost a string of key bases in the face of an AMISOM offensive, said the attack was Dire Revenge for the killing of seven civilians by Ugandan troops at a wedding in the town of Merka in July.

Witnesses said the Shabaab took over the camp, looting weapons stores and loading corpses onto trucks. The group has previously gathered the bodies of dead soldiers for use in propaganda videos.

Still photographs from a Shabaab propaganda video of the attack show fighters looting weapons and raising the Islamist black flag over the base.

Several dead bodies are shown, but there is no evidence of the 50 men the Shabaab boasted of killing.

The Shabaab have captured foreign armed forces before, including Kenyans and a French security agent, Denis Allex. Some have been killed, others released unharmed.

Israel embassy in Egypt reopens after 4-year closure
The Israeli regime's embassy in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, has reopened after a four-year closure due to security concerns, PressTV reported.

Egypt “will always be the biggest and most important state in the region,” the Israeli regime’s foreign ministry director-general, Dore Gold, who flew to Cairo for the reopening ceremony, said on Wednesday.

The Israeli official added that the two sides were “working together” in “deflecting the threat” against them.

“This event taking place in Cairo is also the beginning of something new,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement regarding the event.

US Ambassador to Cairo Stephen Beecroft was among Israelis and Egyptians present at the event.

The embassy was closed on September 9, 2011, after thousands of protesters stormed the compound following the killing of six Egyptian policemen in August the same year by Israeli forces during cross-border operations on Egyptian soil in the Sinai Peninsula.

Nigerian army releases 128 Boko Haram suspects
[AlAhram] Nigeria's army said on Wednesday it had released 128 detainees held on suspicion of being Boko Haram

myrmidons, two months after nearly 200 others were freed after security screening.
Human rights groups have repeatedly accused the military of arbitrary detention of civilians in the country's northeast, which has been wracked by Islamist violence in the last six years.

Senior commanders have strongly rejected claims of wrongful imprisonment, torture, ill-treatment and even extra-judicial killings of prisoners.

A batch of 182 detainees was released in early July and on Wednesday 128 more -- 109 men, seven women and 12 boys -- were handed over to the Borno state governor Kashim Shettima in Maiduguri.

All had been locked away

across the state as part of counter-insurgency operations, said Nigeria's highest-ranking army officer, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, who was at the ceremony.

They were declared "clean" after screening from military intelligence officers, the police and members of the Department of State Security or secret police, the chief of army staff added.

"This is (a) clear manifestation that the army is clearly professional," Tukur said at the handover.

Amnesia Amnesty International said in June there was sufficient evidence for the International Criminal Court

to probe senior Nigerian officers for war crimes because of the treatment of detainees.

At least 20,000 mostly young men and boys have been arrested during the conflict while hundreds of people were unlawfully killed and thousands more died in military custody, the group alleged.

UN rights chief Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein echoed Amnesty's concerns.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who has made defeating Boko Haram a priority and vowed to review military rules of engagement to try to end concerns about rights violations, has promised to probe the claims.

Last month he gave his new team of military three months to defeat the Islamic State

Hezbollah Condemns Int'l Org. Neglect towards Saudi Ongoing Crimes in Yemen
[ALMANAR.LB] Hezbollah strongly condemned the horrible crimes committed by the Saudi-US aggression against the Yemeni people and their institutions and vital installations, which resulted in the destruction of hospitals, schools, mosques and service centers.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Hezbollah pointed out that these "crimes did not stop since the beginning of the aggression almost six months ago, but has seen a serious escalation in the past two days, as if the forces of aggression retaliate against Yemen, its people and history, especially after the strike the aggression received in Safer area."

Hezbollah also condemned the neglection of the humanitarian organizations and international institutions to these ongoing crimes, wondering about the reason for their absolute silence on the killing of civilians and destruction of their civilizations and destroying their future through "sinful" rockets aimed at their facilities.

The Saudi-led coalition was dealt a big blow on Friday last week when the Yemeni army and the popular committees launched a Toshka ballistic missile on coalition military gathering in the eastern province of Marib.

The coalition states admitted that 60 soldiers were killed in the Toshka operation in Safer, including 45 Emiratis, 10 Saudis and 5 Bahrainis.

A source close to the family with direct knowledge of the case identified Darden, 45, as one of the captives. The source tells CNN that Darden was taken hostage in March of this year by Houthi rebels, and so far they have not asked for a ransom.

Darden was captured while working for the New-Orleans based company Transoceanic Development, according to the unnamed source. Darden was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, but has been living abroad for the last couple of years.

The family is working directly with the State Department and with Darden's company.

U.S. Think Tank: Signs N. Korea May be Expanding Plutonium Output
[AnNahar] Stepped up activity at North Korea's main nuclear complex could point to fresh plutonium production to expand its nuclear weapons stockpile, a U.S. think tank said Wednesday.

Fresh satellite images of the Yongbyon facility show high-level activity at two sites, including the five-megawatt reactor seen as North Korea's main source of weapons-grade plutonium, according to analysts at the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University.

While stressing the difficulty in determining a precise reason for the movement, the analysts suggested a number of scenarios, including renovation work or the replacement of contaminated equipment.

The activity may also indicate preparations for unloading spent fuel rods from the reactor for the purpose of producing new plutonium.

"If this explanation proves to be true, it would represent an important step towards the further development of North Korea's nuclear weapons stockpile," the analysts said in a post on the institute's 38North website.

The increase in activity at Yongbyon was also noted earlier this week by the head of the UN's ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano.

"These appear to be broadly consistent with (North Korea's) statements that it is further developing its nuclear capabilities," Amano told members of the IAEA Board of Governors in Vienna.

North Korea mothballed the Yongbyon reactor in 2007 under an aid-for-disarmament accord, but began renovating it after its last nuclear test in 2013.

When fully operational, the reactor is capable of producing around six kilos (13 pounds) of plutonium a year -- enough for one nuclear bomb, experts say.

North Korea carried out nuclear tests in 2006, 2009 and 2013, and there is growing concern that Pyongyang is moving faster down the path towards a credible nuclear deterrent than previously thought.

A recent report by U.S. researchers warned that North Korea appeared poised to expand its nuclear program over the next five years and, in a worst case scenario, could possess 100 atomic arms by 2020.

#1  Unlike IRAN, whom covertly desires NucWeapons while publicly or overtly supporting Nuclear Energy, NOKOR is the inverse, i.e. publicly or overtly supprting the dev of NucWeapons while covertly knowing that overlord CHINA will NOT allow NOKOR to unilaterally or aysmmetrically control anything beyond benign domestic Nuclear Energy.

Again, CHINA = NO RETURN OF TAIWAN TO MAINLAND CONTROL = NO CHINESE SUPPORT FOR ANYTHING RELATED TO DE FACTO INTER-KOREAN REUNIFICATION. Widout Taiwan, China is far more likely to formally ANNEX NOKOR as a new Chinese province than allow it to reunify wid SOKOR.

NOKOR, THEN, TO EMPOWER ANTI-CHINA INTER-KOREAN REUNIFICATION MUST SOMEHOW COVERTLY DEV OR ACQUIRE NUKES DESPITE CHINA'S OVERSIGHT.

FYI NOKOR is repor demanding the complete withdrawal or pullout of Any + All US Milfors = "US Army forces" from SOKOR proper.

#4  I suspect North Korea will sell working nukes to Iran before long. They'll get big bucks and Iran will get nukes far quicker that way and thus have a defense for their own programs. This will be hushed up the way the Pakistani/North Korean tech exchange was and Iran will be credited with creating the nukes themselves.

All of this will be much easier once that Iran deal goes through and inspections and such start to dry up.

Then Iran will deal with Israel as they've stated. Assuming Israel doesn't do something first.

Australia to accept 12,000 refugees from Iraq, Syria
[Rudaw] Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced that Australia will accept 12,000 Iraqi and Syrian refugees and the Australian government will be charged with assisting new arrivals, the Sky news agency reports.

Abbott told the press Wednesday that Australia is playing an active role in the coalition of nations fighting the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. in Iraq and Syria and is also involved in support for the migrants crisis.

"Australia is ready to accommodate and confirm [asylum for] 12,000 Iraqi and Syrian refugees who have fled war and violence," Abbott was quoted as saying to Sky news.

Abott added that the Australian government supports Germany's plan of distributing refugees equally over European countries.

Abbott has stressed that Australia has a role in dealing with the humanitarian crisis that has seen the largest number of displaced people since the Second World War, according to Sky.

The government will reportedly spend $44 million to supply 240,000 refugees with cash, food, water and blankets in Leb, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
and Jordan.

The 12,000 Syrian and Iraqi refugees will be in addition to Australia's existing humanitarian intake of 13,750, The Guardian news agency reported.

The prime minister also announced that Australia's strikes against the Islamic State organization positions, which already take place in Iraq, might extend to Syria in the near future.

#5  we dont want them. we have 15,000 west papuan refugees sitting in PNG on our northern border. We should take them first - they are christians fleeing an Indonesian muslim genocide.

We dont take them because they are not in the news and people dont know about them.

they are not in the news because, unlike the US, Australia does not value freedom of speech or the press. We have not got a bill of rights, or a first amendment.

Australia is run by DFAT and the spy agencies - they are now above the law. Its a nominal democracy only.

DFAT and the spy agencies have decided that West Papua is not to be talked about. They do not want to upset Indonesia, a muslim nation of 250 million people to our north with better guns than us and a lucrative trade market.

So neither major political party mentions them and no mainstream media reports them.

But we get news about syria because that is far away.

So the public clamour and because it means nothing and doesnt upset indonesia, the government accepts syrians.

It is a lie that Abbott will take the christians first.

He wont

he will take whatever muslims he is given and he wont even bother to screen out the sharia supporters from the secular.

this is because it is the Department of Immigration that does the processing not him or his party

and the Department has rules which its bureaucrats must follow

and those rules do not allow it to discriminate on the grounds of religion.

so they will not

we will be importing more IS, sharia promoters and fans of the Caliphate to join the hizb ut tahrir that are already here

#6  Australia should build a city up in the swamps up North and let the Papuans live there. Let any Chinese boat people live there as well. Create a little Hong Kong.

But I wouldn't let Muslim immigrants in. I believe ISIS when they said that flooding the west with troops pretending to be refugees, and even if that were untrue they tend not to assimilate and demand the host country bend to their will. Bad guests.

Turkish deputy PM becomes first gov't official to condemn attacks on media
[Hurriyet Daily News] Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus has become the first senior government official to condemn consecutive violent attacks targeting daily Hurriyet, describing them as "very awful."

"The presence of very awful attacks against some press bodies in recent days have been troubling all of us," Kurtulmus said at a presser on Sept. 9, without explicitly citing the name of the Hurriyet headquarters and Ankara printing center. Both were subject to violent attacks on the night of Sept. 8, marking a second similar incident after attacks early on Sept. 7.

"As the government, we curse these incidents and we also condemn the powers behind these incidents," Kurtulmus added.

"We openly state that we will never tolerate these attacks against media institutions. An investigation will be launched into all those linked to the incidents," he said.

Hurriyet's Istanbul headquarters and Ankara offices were pelted with stones by club-wielding protesters on Sept. 8, less than 48 hours after a similar attack by Justice and Development Party (AKP) supporters.

The raid on Sept. 8 came hours after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
renewed his strong criticism of Hurriyet, accusing it of "distorting" his words.

Deputy PM Akdogan strikes back at HDP, calls it 'extension' of PKK
[Hurriyet Daily News] Deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan has retaliated against the co-chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), who earlier accused the government of supporting a campaign of "lynching" and dragging the country into war after two nights of attacks against its offices.

"Without getting embarrassed, they are accusing the state and the government of declaring war. First of all, this is not a war, this is slaughtering of our people by a terrorist organization," Akdogan said on Sept. 9, referring to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has been launching almost daily attacks against Turkish soldiers and coppers.

"The HDP is acting like an open supporter, extension and political branch of the terrorist organization," he said, again apparently referring to the PKK.

Earlier in the same day, HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtas had said, "So many children lost their parents. So many parents lost their children that we are ashamed to hug our own."

Recalling Demirtas's remarks, Akdogan said, "Those children were martyred by the terrorist organization which he [Demirtas] supported."

Tensions have spiked after 29 soldiers and coppers were killed in two separate attacks on Sept. 6 and Sept. 8, the deadliest strikes in the current phase of the conflict.

Turkish PM urges calm amid rising tension
[Hurriyet Daily News] Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu urged for calm amid rising tension across The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
, in a series of tweets posted on Sept. 8.

Davutoglu said military operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) would continue "with determination," but people should not take matters into their own hands.

"We will not allow brothers to fight each other," he tweeted, calling on citizens to be "calm and have confidence in the state."

Recalling a wave of violent protests that has shaken Turkey, including one that targeted daily Hurriyet, Davutoglu condemned the damage inflicted on newspapers and political party headquarters as "unacceptable."

"Damaging the property of our citizens, particularly that of our media outlets, political party headquarters and civilians, cannot be accepted ... No-one should put themselves above the law," he said.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
also urged calm in messages posted on his official Twitter account on Sept. 8.

"I request that our citizens keep calm during the fight against the terror. We should fulfill our responsibilities as citizens by not paying attention to provocations," Erdogan wrote.

Great White North
Canadian court hears teen terror suspect slam infidels
[Reuters) - A 16-year-old Montreal teen, the youngest person charged with terrorist offenses in Canada, expressed contempt for his country in a police videotape played in court on Wednesday, saying the country was run by "infidels" who needed to be overthrown. He said Canada was a state of "poly-atheism
...the unbelief in a multiplicity of gods? Shocking.
and infidels" and that it was necessary "to do away with it ... by force if required."

The son of Algerian immigrants has pleaded guilty to committing a robbery in 2014 when he was 15 years old. The teen is now on trial for alleged terrorist activity after pleading not guilty to attempting to use the stolen money to join a terrorist group in Syria.

On Wednesday, the diminutive teen sat silently in the courtroom, occasionally closing his eyes as the video from his robbery arrest was played for the court.

During the 2014 police interrogation, the teen often reacted defiantly, dismissing both his own father and police officer Brahim Soussi, also a Muslim, as apostates. He told Soussi that it was alright to rob an infidel and that the money he stole was equivalent to "war booty."

The lad, who said he learned about Islam online, admitted to having never read the Koran in its entirety. Soussi repeatedly challenged the teen's knowledge of Islam. The boy often refused to talk to Soussi, saying, "I don't feel like having a conversation with an apostate. I understand Islam better than you."

The father, who immigrated to Canada in 2003, admitted in court to reporting his own son to police. Montreal newspaper La Presse reported in December that he called authorities after discovering a backpack stuffed with cash hidden in the yard behind the family's home.

Police said they arrested the teen in October after he robbed a convenience store with an "edged weapon," then fled the scene.

Home Front: WoT
50 Spies Say ISIS Intelligence Was Cooked
It’s being called a “revolt” by intelligence pros who are paid to give their honest assessment of the ISIS war—but are instead seeing their reports turned into happy talk.

More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the U.S. military's Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al Qaeda’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials, The Daily Beast has learned. The complaints spurred the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the alleged manipulation of intelligence. The fact that so many people complained suggests there are deep-rooted, systemic problems in how the U.S. military command charged with the war against the self-proclaimed Islamic State assesses intelligence.

“The cancer was within the senior level of the intelligence command,” one defense official said.

US blacklists top Hamas, Hezbollah operatives
"Now do shut up about President Obama's little agreement with Iran, Bibi. See how nice we can be?"
[Ynet] State Department signals intent to prevent spread of Iranian-backed terrorism with move establishing Mohammed Deif, Samir Kuntar, and others as top-level terrorists.

The US Department of State has designated Yahya Sinwar, Samir Kuntar, Rawhi Mushtaha, and Mohammed Deif as Specially Designated Global Terrorists, it was revealed Tuesday.

Deif is the leader of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,'s military wing, while Sinwar is another senior member of Hamas. Kuntar is a Hezbollah operative who participated in a Nahariya terror attack that killed five Israelis, was imprisoned, and later released before returning to Leb. Mushtaha was also released in the same prisoner exchange, and is a member of the political branch of Hamas.

The designation means that all property subject to US jurisdiction in which the individuals have any interest is blocked and US persons are prohibited from engaging in transactions with them or to their benefit.

The timing of the announcement -- during the week that Congress is expected to vote on the nuclear deal with Iran -- may be intended to emphasize for all parties in the Middle East that Barack Obama
Because I won...
's administration will intensify its activities to prevent the spread of Iranian-sponsored terrorism and the transfer of weapons to Hezbollah and Hamas.

By adding Kuntar to the United States' international terrorist list as a person who helps bully boyz and who is himself a terrorist, the administration states that Kuntar is a US target and it is illegal to help him in any way.

Regarding Kuntar, who was released from an Israeli prison in 2008, the State Department sad, that following his return to Leb, he joined Hezbollah and "has since emerged as one of the group's most visible and popular spokesmen. Since Kuntar's return, he has also played an operational role, with the assistance of Iran and Syria, in building up Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in the Golan Heights."

Sinwar and Mushtaha were released in the prisoner-exchange deal that released captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

Sinwar was given the prisoners' portfolio for the Hamas government in Gazoo, and Mushtaha is a member of the political branch of the organization and a founding member of its military wing.

Over 1,000 Indian Muslim clerics condemn IS, call it 'un-Islamic'
[DAWN] More than 1,000 Moslem holy mans in India have ratified a religious ruling condemning the self-styled Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
, calling the bully boy group's actions "un-Islamic."

Religious leaders from hundreds of mosques, education institutions and civic groups across India have signed the edict, or fatwa, saying the actions of the Islamic State group went against the basic tenets of Islam.

The edict was issued by a leading Mumbai-based holy man, Mohammed Manzar Hasan Ashrafi Misbahi, and has been signed by the leaders of all the main mosques in India.

"The acts of the Islamic State are inhuman and un-Islamic," said Abdul Rehman Anjaria, a Moslem leader.

Two new polio cases surface in Khyber Agency
[DAWN] LANDI KOTAL: Health officials detected two new polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...
cases in Khyber Agency

on Tuesday.

Parents of 18-month-old Abdur Rehman said that the child was admitted to Landi Kotal hospital a few days ago with constant high fever. With no improvement in his condition, doctors referred him to Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
where his medical tests were conducted while some tests were also sent to Islamabad for verification of poliovirus.

On Tuesday, the doctors announced that he was affected by poliovirus. Family sources and health staff at the agency surgeon office insisted that Mr Rehman was administered polio vaccine for seven consecutive times, but even then he contracted poliovirus.

Health officials immediately sent teams comprising representatives of the WHO and UNHCR to Mirdadkhel where Mr Rehman belonged to. Agency surgeon Dr Niaz Afridi told Dawn that 53 of the total 55 children under age five in the said locality had been regularly given polio vaccine during the previous campaigns.

"This case is of serious concern for us as we had made all-out efforts that no child is left out during our routine and special vaccination campaigns," a visibly perturbed Dr Afridi said.

The second case surfaced in Mastak area of Tirah where officials said that they were unable to conduct regular campaigns due to law and order situation.

Resistance to police action is terrorism, senators told
[DAWN] ISLAMABAD: A city police officer surprised a Senate committee by justifying the arrest of slum dwellers under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for resisting the recent bulldozing of the Sector I-11 katchi abadi.

"Police is an instrument of the government and were providing security cover to the Islamabad administration which wanted the illegal settlement cleared. The law is clear on resisting government actions," DIG headquarters Khalid Khattak told the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat on Tuesday.

But the members of the committee were baffled rather than impressed by his defence of the heavy-handed action, which uprooted some 10,000 inhabitants of the slum on July 31.

"This is not why the anti-terror act was enacted. It cannot be used at free will," said Senator Kalsoom Parveen, with other committee members nodding in unison.

The administration and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted the demolition operation in the name of clearing the area for developing residential sectors and fighting crime.

Iraq
Iraq's Abadi dismisses 123 senior officials as part of reforms: Statement
[AlAhram] Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Wednesday he had dismissed 123 deputy ministers and general managers as part of a reform push aimed at reducing corruption and mismanagement which has made the country nearly impossible to govern.

Backed by street protests demanding better services and a call for bold action by Iraq's most senior Shi'ite holy man, Abadi has rolled out the largest shakeup of the country's governing system since the U.S. occupation.

He has set out to transform a system based on sectarian and ethnic quotas, which often hands high office to unqualified candidates and encourages graft.

Abadi did not mention which ministries would be affected by Wednesday's decision, but said in a statement that the bigwigs would be sent into retirement or have their administrative status "adjusted".

He said the subordinates of those dismissed would take over their responsibilities until ministries' structures are reviewed and replacements are appointed.

In earlier reforms launched last month, Abadi eliminated Iraq's three vice president and three deputy prime minister positions, sacked a third of his cabinet, and cut politicians' security details and other perks.

But critics complain the changes have not yet improved ordinary people's lives and warn some of the measures are unconstitutional.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israel outlaws Muslim groups that protest at key holy site
[Ynet] Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon has outlawed two Moslem groups that have been holding rallies against Jewish visitors on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The Mourabitoun and Mourabitat groups have been declared illegal and anyone who organizes or funds them can be prosecuted.

The two are informal movements of mostly Arab women and elderly men who demonstrate when Jews visit the compound known to Moslems as the Noble Sanctuary and Jews as the Temple Mount. It's revered as Judaism's holiest site and Islam's third-holiest.

Religious Jews have been increasingly visiting the site, seeking to reverse an existing ban on Jewish prayer there. Paleostinians say Israel is encroaching on the site.

so the world cannot have any peace because all three abrahamic insanities spring from the bronze age squabbles of the people that lived around this area.

Those peasants didnt know jack shit about anything. They had no idea the earth was round and not flat. They didnt know disease was caused by bacteria and viruses they thought it was divine retribution

they had no idea how the brain works or how to think scientifically evaluating evidence to show how things work.

its just a load of crap - and somehow we are all held hostage by this superstitious rubbish. #4  We cannot have peace and progress because...

Do stop whinging, anon1! And stop lying to yourself and to us.

You know, because you have often said it, that it is the Muslim jihadis who are causing all the problems in Australia (and the rest of the world), not the Australians who just want to live peaceful and law-abiding lives... who are not fighting back as strongly against the jihadis as you know to be necessary.

And you know, because you have said it, the exact same thing about America and Europe, that again it is not the citizenry there that is at fault for the problems, but the colonizing jihadis. And that fighting against the jihadis is both necessary and right.

So why do you blame the Jews for the problems in the Middle East? Just because they fight against the same jihadi nonsense instead of disappearing to make the jihadis, the Europeans, President Obama, the rest of the antisemites, and you more comfortable.

Fuck that shit. My mother fought the Nazis in the Dutch Underground when they wanted to erase the Jews from the Europe; my father fought the combined armies of the Arabs in 1948 in the defense of Tel Aviv, when they wanted to erase the Jews from Israel. I and mine are not going to roll over and die just because people like you are tired of hearing about it.

Southeast Asia
Key Suspect in Bangkok Blast Handed Device to Bomber
[ALMANAR.LB] A key suspect in last month's deadly Bangkok blast handed the backpack bomb to a man in a yellow T-shirt later seen placing it at a busy shrine moments before it detonated, Thai police said Wednesday.

The revelation came as Sherlocks gave their most detailed account of how the alleged network of bombers coordinated the attack, including through drop-offs and WhatsApp text messages.

Mystery still surrounds the motive of the group accused of being responsible for the August 17 bombing that left 20 people dead in the heart of Bangkok, also rocking Thailand's key tourist industry.

But after appearing flat-footed in response to the unprecedented attack, police have trumpeted the arrest of two foreigners and say they have identified several other suspects.

One of the two men in jug, Yusufu Mieraili, was detained last week near the border with Cambodia and has since been quizzed by military and police Sherlocks.

Mieraili, 25, who was holding a Chinese passport when he was caught, has admitted to playing a central role in the operation, according to police.
On Wednesday he was taken on a second re-enactment of his alleged role in the crime -- a standard police procedure.

"This is the area where he met the man in a yellow shirt to exchange the backpack," national police front man Prawut Thavornsiri told news hounds outside a Bangkok railway station, later adding he received his orders via WhatsApp.

Local media reports have named the bomb criminal mastermind as "Izan", saying he commissioned and guided the attack but left the country a day before it was carried out.

But Prawut refused to be drawn on details of who pulled the strings behind the blast.

He did reveal that Mieraili, whose hands were bound while he wore a bulletproof vest during the re-enactment, left a "heavy backpack" with the bomber outside the station some thirty minutes from the scene of the crime.

That man was seen on security footage apparently placing the same bag at the shrine and calmly walking off just before the blast.

After making the exchange, Mieraili was ordered to wait near the shrine to take photos of the aftermath of the bomb, Prawut said.

But when he got there his view was blocked by a pillar so he left.

Thai bomb leader fled to Bangladesh on Chinese passport
[Dhaka Tribune] The man Thai police believe criminal masterminded last month's deadly Bangkok bombing fled to Bangladesh the day before the attack and travelled on a Chinese passport, officials said on Wednesday.

The man emerged as a key suspect in the Aug. 17 bombing following interrogation this week of one of two foreigners being held, who police say admitted to giving a backpack with explosives to a man they are certain was the bomber.

The suspect told police a man called "Izan" played a lead role and assigned responsibilities to others plotters during a Bangkok meeting.

"This man called Izan - and I don't know if this is his real name - is a very important person in this network," deputy police chief Chakthip Chaijinda told Rooters.

"I don't know what his nationality is ... Let's just say Izan is one of the foremost wanted individuals."

No group has grabbed credit for the blast at the Erawan Shrine, a tourist attraction close to hotels and shopping malls. Twenty people were killed, including 14 foreign tourists.

Chakthip said police would be coordinating with Bangladeshi counterparts where the suspected leader had travelled on Aug. 16. An immigration official said he had used a Chinese passport, but it was not known if it was authentic.

A K M Shahidul Hoque, inspector general of Bangladesh police, told Rooters he was unaware of the new development.

Thai police are no closer to establishing a motive for the bombing after weeks of conflicting theories and false leads.

Arrest warrants have been issued for 11 suspects, but only two have been detained following raids that uncovered bomb-making materials.

National police chief Somyot Pumpanmuang reiterated the attack was "not an act of international terrorism".

The most progress has been a suspect admitting to delivering a backpack to a man caught on security footage leaving it at the shrine before the blast.

Police front man Prawut Thawornsiri said his testimony revealed the criminal mastermind had given directions to others using the instant messaging platform Whatsapp, but suspects' phones had left no trail.

Prawut said the perpetrators may have been human traffickers and the Chinese passport used by one suspect, which gave the western region of Xinjiang as birthplace, was likely to be genuine.

The use of Chinese passports has raised speculation the attackers could be sympathisers of Uighur Moslems from Xinjiang, who complain of persecution.

Thailand in July forcibly returned 109 Uighurs to China, which denies persecuting the community.

Seven of those killed in the blast were from mainland China and Hong Kong.

Iran, Russia to sign S-300 delivery contract real soon now
A contract between Moscow and Tehran on the delivery of Russian S-300 missile defense systems to Iran will be signed in the near future, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said, Irna reported.

'The negotiations are continuing, the contract will be signed in the near future. All political decisions have been made, there are no obstacles there,' Ryabkov said quoted by Sputnik news agency on Wednesday.

In 2007, Russia and Iran signed an $800-million deal for the delivery of five S-300 batteries. Moscow suspended the deal after the UN Security Council issued an arms embargo on Tehran amid allegations that it was creating a nuclear weapon.

Russian President Vladimir Putin lifted the ban on S-300 deliveries in April, shortly after the P5+1 group of international negotiators and Iran reached a framework agreement over Tehran's nuclear program.

#2  The problem the Russians have is that once it gets out in the world and out from their control, people (Israel, the US, China) begin probing the locations to gather data and maybe develop countermeasures. This is why many older Russian weapons systems came in an export version, with most of the bells and whistles removed (to make it easier to operate, of course).

Cotton supplied by Islamic State?
[DAWN] Islamic State (IS) militants have got their hands on Syrian cotton production, worrying some manufacturers even though there appears little risk for now that IS-linked clothes could end up on the catwalk or in someone's closet in Paris.

After seizing oil and grain fields to fund their offensive, IS jihadists have also taken control of "three-quarters of the production of cotton" in Syria, which was a relatively important exporter before the war, said Jean-Charles Brisard, a specialist on the financing of extremist groups.

Syrian cotton is an issue at the vaunted fashion houses in Paris.

A buyer for haute couture collections at a top label said on condition of anonymity that they have become very vigilant over the origin of their fabrics.

Al-Qaeda chief suggests cooperation with ISIS in Iraq and Syria despite denouncement
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The al Qaeda network leader Ayman al-Zawahiri
... Formerly second in command of al-Qaeda, now the head cheese, occasionally described as the real brains of the outfit. Formerly the Mister Big of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Bumped off Abdullah Azzam with a car boom in the course of one of their little disputes. Is thought to have composed bin Laden's fatwa entitled World Islamic Front Against Jews and Crusaders. Currently residing in the North Wazoo area assuming he's not dead like Mullah Omar. He lost major face when he ordered the nascent Islamic State to cease and desist and merge with the orthodx al-Qaeda spring, al-Nusra...
has said the network's fighters would possibly join the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in fighting the US-led coalition in Iraq and Syria despite calling the Islamic State, its leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
and its self-declared caliphate as illegitimate.

Al-Zawahiri made the statement through an audiotape placed on the internet with the date of the recording yet to be confirmed.

Without disclosing further information regarding his intentions al-Zawahiri hinted at cooperation between the two Sunni Moslem Lion of Islam movements despite their rivalry, Rooters reported Wednesday.

He said "We don't recognize this caliphate. Despite the big mistakes [of Islamic State], if I were in Iraq or Syria I would cooperate with them in killing the Crusaders and secularists and Shi'ites even though I don't recognize the legitimacy of their state, because the matter is bigger than that."

According to Rooters references to events suggest it is at least eight months old.

Al-Zawahiri became the leader of al-Qaeda terrorist network following the killing of the network's leader the late Osama bin Laden
... who is no longer with us, and won't be again...
by US forces in May 2011.

He has previously denounced the Islamic State group with the U.S. counterterrorism officials have long worried about a "potential competitive dynamic" between Lion of Islam factions in attacking the United States as al Qaeda splits and morphs into various affiliates and branches.

According to a report by Washington Post, the splintering among al Qaeda created ISIS, which has seized swaths of Iraq and Syria since 2013 and is vying for recruits among young bully boy Moslems with Zawahri's core al Qaeda group.

Home Front: Culture Wars
USMC Study leaked: Mixed gender combat units less effective.
The Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force (GCEITF) included roughly 200 male and 75 female volunteers, who were evaluated on how they performed a series of physical combat tasks between March and May. Efforts to integrate combat units constitute "social engineering" Lt. Gen. Gregory Newbold, a former Marine infantryman who served as Director of Operations on the Pentagon's Joint Staff before he retired, argued in an op-ed this week.

"All-male squads, teams and crews demonstrated higher performance levels on 69 percent of tasks evaluated ... as compared to gender-integrated squads, teams and crews." The study also concludes that all-male squads were faster and had greater accuracy in firing weapons. All-male crews "had a noticeable difference in their performance of the basic combat tasks of negotiating obstacles and evacuating casualties." Ex: Wall obstacle "Male Marines threw their packs to the top of the wall, whereas female Marines required regular assistance in getting their packs to the top."

The Marine Corps cites the "the brutal and extremely physical nature of direct ground combat, often marked by close, interpersonal violence." It further argues that the nature of battle "remains largely unchanged throughout centuries of warfare, despite technological advancements." my emphasis added

Mr. Newbold echoes similar points: "the burden of 30 to 80 pounds of personal equipment, mind-bending physical exertion, energy-sapping adrenaline highs" Newbold argues, concluding, "If I'm wrong, the cost may be opportunities denied to strong and impressive young women. If you're wrong, our national security is shaken and there is a butcher's bill to pay."

And there is the bottom line: military effectiveness and national security versus social engineering and progressivism.

#2  Unless you're going to sit in an air conditioned bunker thousands of miles away tossing nukes, it boils down to the nasty face to face at some point. The Navy told my old man after plastering a little island in the Pacific for days that he could expect to wade ashore against little or no opposition, that was Tarawa.

"...and there is a butcher's bill to pay."

I'm sort of for ending female privilege and the historic disparate impact upon males given the crap of the SJWs out there. Maybe when they fill and Arlington or two someone will grasp the link between equality and responsibility.

#3  So put the ladies in brigades of their own. The comparison in effectiveness between the sexes won't allow that of course.

#4  Here's a thought, hows about a separate, distinctive, very professsionally run Wymns Army Corps? We could call it the WACS, or WAVS for the Navy, etc. I know it sounds exclusive and possibly progressive, but the men probably won't mind.
