The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... Mission in Somalia to compact al-Shabaab ... the personification of Somali state failure... holy warriors that are associated with al-Qaeda.
Uganda believes it is important that the world seek to diminish al-Shabaab holy warriors which associated with al-Qaeda, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said in a statement, considering that the biggest obstacle facing Somalia today is this armed militias that threaten security and stability in the region.
He also announced the decision of Kampala to double the number of troops in the territory of Somalia to fight the holy warriors of this movement there, as it poses a threat to Mogadishu, and to its neighbors as well.
Museveni explained that his country is determined to support Somalia in its war against this armed krazed killers.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian branch of al-Qaeda, currently calling itself Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), has succeeded in getting itself off Canada’s list of designated terrorist entities following its latest identity shift.
That complicates the task of prosecuting Canadians who travel to join the group, send it money or propagandize on its behalf.
It also illustrates the pitfalls of Canada following the lead of the U.S. in designating terror groups.
HTS escapes being listed at a time when it is absorbing other jihadi groups and attracting more recruits, even as the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... retreats on multiple fronts.
HTS has a history of renaming itself and altering its structure to confuse outsiders, and the Syrian population, about its true affiliations. But until now, few observers have accepted its claims to have distanced itself from its parent organization.
Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (the Organization for Conquest in the Levant) began life as an expeditionary force called Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... (the Support Front), despatched into Syria in 2011 by the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us... , now "caliph" of the Islamic State (ISIS). Jabhat al-Nusra was led by Syrian jihadist Abu Mohammad al-Jawlani.
The United States put the group on its terrorist list in 2012, as the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda, and Canada followed suit.
Al-Baghdadi soon crossed into Syria himself, renouncing his allegiance to al-Qaeda and founding ISIS in April 2013.
Al-Jawlani’s group remained loyal to the mother organization founded by bin Laden, and Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS have been at each other’s throats ever since. Meanwhile, ...back at the mall, Clarissa spent the day shopping for new underwear. Tonight was going to be a special occasion... the U.S.-led coalition focused its bombing on Islamic State, not al-Nusra.

[DAWN] Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ...Currently the Interior Minister of Pakistain. He is the senior leader of the Pak Moslem League (N) and a close aide to Nawaz Uncle Fester Sharif. Khan cited his wife and children's US citizenship as proof, which means he's lying to one side or the other and probably both. He wears a wig, but you probably guessed that. since hair doesn't grow naturally in that shape or texture... on Sunday ordered the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take action against those involved in an anti-army campaign on social media platforms.
"Under constitutional guidelines on freedom of expression, unwarranted criticism of security forces and other institutions responsible for the defence of the realm is not allowed. No citizen can be involved in a campaign that tarnishes the reputation and respect of the armed forces," an interior ministry statement quoted him as saying.
"Disrespecting the Pakistain Army and its officials under the guise of freedom of expression will not be tolerated," he said.
Online criticism of the armed forces began after Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor on May 10 announced the withdrawal of an earlier tweet, that "rejected" the government’s notification of the findings of a body set up to investigate a story published in Dawn last year.

[DAWN] The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday heard the case brought to it by India pertaining to the sentencing of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was handed a death sentence by a Pak Field General Court Martial (FGCM) last month.
Ambassador Moazzam Ahmad Khan, Dr Muhammad Faisal and Syed Faraz Hussain were present at the Peace Palace as members of Pakistain's legal team.
Khawar Qureshi led Pakistain's arguments, while Asad Rahim Khan and Joseph Dyke were present on Pakistain's behalf for the proceedings in The Hague.
Presenting its arguments before the court, Pakistain maintained that the ICJ did not have jurisdiction to hear the Indian application, Radio Pakistain, the state-run broadcasting service, reported.
The arguments for Pakistain were presented by Dr Faisal to the court in The Hague, Netherlands, on Monday.
Pak representatives told the court that Jadhav "has confessed to having been sent by India to wage terror on the innocent civilians and infrastructure of Pakistain".

Aljournal News website quoted Ahmed Khourshid, a member of Hawija’s mayoral council saying that some tribal representatives had given the Iraqi government a week before they launch an attack on the town. He said the representatives were planning a conference on Tuesday discussing the delayed liberation and means to press the government on speeding up action in that respect.
"If the heinous torture of our people by ISIS (Islamic State) bandidosgunnies in Hawija continues without attention from the concerned (officials), attendants will give the government a week before they begin liberation operations," Khourshid stated.
Meanwhile, ...back at the Senate, Odius Sepulcher called for war against the Visigoths... Mohammed Tamim, an Iraqi parliament member, said in a statement that people in Hawija were experiencing "a genocide", adding that the town has not seen "any action by security forces". He urged Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to hasten with the liberation of the town.
Islamic State members have held Hawija and some neighboring areas in southwestern Kirkuk since they emerged in 2014 to proclaim an "Islamic Caliphate" in Iraq. Since then, the group has executed hundreds of local civilians and security members for collaborating with security forces or attempting to flee the town.
The Iraqi government has said it wa going to target Islamic State havens in Anbar, Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... Salahuddin and Diyala once it finishes its campaign in djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... , IS’s largest bastion in Iraq where security troops, backed by a U.S.-led coalition recaptured all but a handful of districts since October.

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq’s oil production surged by 36% in 2017 compared to 2014, an Iraqi cabinet official said in statements quoted by Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... News Agency (QNA).
Saad al-Hadithi, a spokesperson of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s media office, said oil produced by Iraqi in 2015 was 20 percent higher than 2014’s 3.11 million barrels.
Associated gas production also moved up by 50 percent between 2014 and 2016, according to Hadithi, who added that 2800 million cubic feet of that gas went untapped during the same period.
Since March 2016, Iraqi exported more than 2.3 million barrels of condensates, plus more than 40.000 tons of liquefied natural gas, with revenues standing at USD100 million.
During the third quarter of 2016, Iraq became a LNG exporter, according to the agency.
Late last March, Iraq’s petroleum exporting company, SOMO, said Iraq had cut down its oil production by 300.000 barrels per day to 4.46 millions.
Iraq plans to increase its crude production to five million barrels per day before the end of 2017. Its reserves soared in February to 153 billion barrels.
Iraq is OPEC’s second largest oil producer, following Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... . It had pledged to cut 210.000 barrels of its daily production to 4.35 million barrels starting January in line with an historic OPEC members agreement reached in a Vienna meeting in December. It had previously been reluctant to take the move citing its terrorism-battered economy. OPEC took the move in an attempt to prop up falling oil prices.

[IsraelTimes] The trial of three men accused of the March liquidation of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, operations man Mazen Faqha gets underway in Gazoo on Monday.
Officials from the Hamas organization that rules the territory say Israel’s Shin Bet security service planned the killing, which was carried out by Paleostinian "collaborators" in Gazoo.
The chief suspect is former Hamas military wing official Ashraf Abu Lila, who was expelled from the organization a decade ago after he was accused of killing Fatah fighters amid Hamas’s violent coup against the Paleostinian Authority.
According to the Walla news site, the other two suspects served as lookouts for the killing.

While they are not a relatively big force, the GPF do possess well-trained fighters that have been battle-tested in this type of desert terrain.
In the coming days, the Syrian Armed Forces are expected to launch an imperative push to capture the provincial cemetery in order to lift the siege on the Deir Ezzor Military Airport.
