[Garowe] A Kenyan politician was forced to remove a scarf traditionally associated with Paleostinians, even as he called for order and solidarity with the people of Paleostine who are currently in conflict with Israel as the Middle East conflict escalates.
Farah Maalim, the MP for Dadaab and a former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly was ordered to remove the scarf during the Wednesday parliamentary sitting, with the speaker terming it "unparliamentary". Maalim sits in the speaker's Panel.
For the last two weeks, Maalim has been criticizing Israel for "violation of human rights ...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you... " after it emerged that the Israel Defence Forces was targeting civilians instead of the Hamas ...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... terror group. The Hamas started fighting with Israel, in the renewed conflict within the Middle East.
He said Paleostine "needs the support of everybody in Kenya". Speaker Moses Wetangula, who was the chairman of the session, ordered Maalim to remove the scarf arguing that it was in breach of parliamentary rules of the Republic of Kenya.
Fellow MPs also condemned the politician for "disrespecting" the House rules. It comes a few days after Kenyan police briefly detained three people for participating in a pro-Paleostinian meeting in the capital, Nairobi.
A fortnight ago, President William Ruto expressed solidarity with the people of Israel, in a message which was met with mixed reaction. [ColonelCassad] A thousand Russian troops arrived in Syria in the second ten days of October. Russian military bases in the Arab republic remain Russia's gateway to Africa. A few days ago we had an essay concerned that America is overextending itself militarily. This suggests Russia is doing the same, now that Wagner PMC is out of the picture.
The transfer was not prevented by Israeli strikes on the runways of the airports of Damascus and Aleppo (Syria). This suggests that Moscow is not going to weaken the fight against Islamic terrorism either because of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict or because of the war in Ukraine. And also that the Russian armed forces have enough resources to replace the PMCs that were once present in Syria. The Russian Ministry of Defense, headed by General Sergei Shoigu, quickly and effectively took control of the portion of Wagner's military assistance to Syria, focusing not on protecting the business interests of companies in Syria, but on maximum effectiveness in the fight against terrorism and further stabilization in the country.
Terrorist groups in the Idlib de-escalation zone are preparing attacks on civilians and locations of Russian and Syrian troops, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in Syria, said with reference to intelligence data. “The command of the Russian group of forces and the leadership of the armed forces of the Syrian Arab Republic will take the necessary proactive measures,” the rear admiral emphasized.
He also said that the aviation of the Western anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States continues to create dangerous situations in the skies of Syria, flying in violation of deconfliction protocols and Syrian airspace. This is not the first time that NATO aircraft have provided de facto air support to ground operations of bandits and terrorists.
The US Department of Defense continues to insist that there are several hundred fighters from the Russian private military company Wagner in Syria and that their numbers are not changing. This was stated at a meeting with the Washington group of military observers (Defense Writers Group), the commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Air Force, Lieutenant General Alexus Grinkevich. “What I see is a relatively stable number of Wagner forces in Syria over the last several months,” the US military commander said. When asked to clarify what number he was talking about, he replied: “I’ll say this. Several hundred,” Grinkevich repeated. But it is difficult to say what facts the general is based on, perhaps on data from the media that needs verification.
Western media claim that it is difficult for Russia to keep the situation in Syria under control due to the progress of the military operation in Ukraine. But the Russian Armed Forces are advancing faster and better along the entire front line, increasingly seizing the initiative from the Ukrainian military, which over the past months has suffered huge losses in attempts to counteroffensive. “The Ukrainian Armed Forces have run out of time for a counteroffensive,” writes Newsweek. As the article notes, Ukraine no longer has a chance to achieve significant results, since the winter thaw will complicate logistics and the advancement of Ukrainian troops.
But theses about the change of seasons look like an excuse for an urgently needed respite. The counteroffensive, which was spectacularly presented in the Western media, never materialized. The Zelensky regime, pumped up with Western weapons, could not boast of success at the front. Because weapons alone are not enough, tactics, knowledge of military science and much more are needed, which his team does not possess. At the same time, the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense, led by Sergei Shoigu, despite skeptics, managed to effectively adjust planning over the summer in order to strengthen positions for destroying advancing enemy groups in some directions and confident, coordinated advance in others. At the same time, Russia is also strengthening its military presence in Syria and African countries.
Apparently, in the coming months we should expect further intensification of the decolonization processes of Africa.

Fortunately, the UN General Assembly is a powerless talkshop, so this vote may make the winners feel good but is otherwise meaningless.
[Regnum] During the tenth emergency special session for the protection of the Palestinian people, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the Middle East, developed by a group of Arab countries with the support of Russia.
Russia appears to have reached the point of knee-jerk opposition to America as a matter of principal.
The document was submitted for consideration by representatives of Jordan.
120 states, including Russia, voted for the resolution. 14 countries did not support the resolution, and another 45 abstained.
As Regnum reported, Russia's permanent representative to the UN , Vasily Nebenzya , previously said that the Security Council of the world organization could not prevent the further aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, now it is up to the General Assembly.
The document prepared by Arab countries states that the UN General Assembly calls for an immediate ceasefire and requires all parties to comply with obligations under humanitarian law, including the protection of civilians and civilian objects. The project provides for the immediate, long-term and unhindered delivery of necessary goods and services to the Gaza Strip. Access to Gaza should also be ensured for UN and other humanitarian workers. A group of Arab countries is pushing for the lifting of Israel's order for Gazans to move to the south of the strip.
The Kremlin noted on October 24 that the foundation for resolving the conflict in the Middle East should be the creation of an independent Palestine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Israel was subjected to a brutal attack and has the right to protection, but the Palestinian issue must be resolved through peaceful means, and it is necessary to return to the UN formula for the creation of a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem.
The email complained that "Words like ‘massacre’, ‘slaughter’ and ‘atrocities’ are being used... in reference to actions by Hamas, but hardly, if at all, in reference to actions by Israel."

Sorry, should've said "acting paranoid in this venue." In ten years I don't think I've noticed a single regular poster -- setting aside the handful of obvious trolls -- who seemed unaware of Jewish grievance and its historical basis. A bunch of regulars -- goyim, even! -- can cite chapter and verse. I'm no expert and I can tell you more about what happened to folks in a hundred shtetls and ghettos than I know about me own privileged Aryan forebears.
Rant on, as paranoid as you please, but surely you know you're ranting to the choir (and a more harmonious choir than you'd find in most synagogues, probably)?

[Rudaw] In the center of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, the Armenian Orthodox community in Iraq celebrated the ordination of a new bishop on Monday for the first time in over four decades.
Archimandrite Oshagan Gulgulian, head of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Iraq, told Rudaw that he was "very grateful" for his election as the new Armenian Orthodox community bishop in Iraq.
"After 42 years, it was the first time that an election took place, ... because Iraq was facing some difficulties and there were not many candidates as well," he added.
Gulgulian stressed his commitment to the Armenian Orthodox community's spiritual principles and values while calling for peace among all Iraqi religious and ethnic groups.
The new bishop of Armenian Lebanese origin was elected among three other candidates to lead Iraq’s Armenian Orthodox community.
"We try our best to keep up with the pace of developments in life and in general, and we thought that in the presence of a young bishop, new ideas would certainly be introduced," Karpet Kaustyan, chairman of the Central Administrative Committee of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Iraq, told Rudaw on Monday.
Until 2004, Basra was home to around 350 Armenian families. Today, fewer than 150 families still live there. Similarly, only three of the 120 families who used to live in djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... in the past, remain in the city today, and the number of Armenians in Baghdad has plummeted from 6,000 to 500. This is all due to successive wars, instability, and violence against the ethnic minority group.
Armenians consider themselves as being prevented from exercising their rights and they have repeatedly called on the ruling authorities of Iraq to assign them a seat in parliament, like other minority groups already have.
Unlike other parts of Iraq, the Kurdistan Region has become a safe haven for Armenians and other minority groups who have fled displacement and violence in other parts of the country.
The Constitution of the Kurdistan Region recognizes Armenians as an ethnic component, provides the right to mother-tongue education in the Armenian language, and reserves one seat in parliament for Armenians.
There are six Armenian churches in the Kurdistan Region - four in Duhok province, one in Erbil and one in Kirkuk.

“There was no command to kill any civilians,” Hamad claimed, attempting to brush off the mass murders as the result of “clashes and confrontations” after terrorists crashed through barriers and paraglided into Israel.
His interviewer refused to accept his ludicrous claim, telling Hamad: “It’s not confrontation — you invaded houses.”
“I can tell you that we didn’t have any intention or decision to kill the civilians,” the Hamas official again claimed despite the overwhelming mass of evidence.
The BBC’s Middle East correspondent again pushed back, asking again: “How do you justify killing people as they sleep, families? How do you justify killing hundreds of people in …?”
The BBC’s correspondent pushed back instead of trumpeting the Hamas party line? I may expire from shock. Truly we live in an age of miracles!
At that point, Hamad interrupted his interviewer, pulling off the microphone attached to his jacket and throwing it to the side.

Israeli officials have previously provided evidence suggesting Hamas terrorists had indeed planned to kill civilians in their surprise attack.
