-Lurid Crime Tales-
Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting suspects are captured in heated exchange moments before gunfight killed one and injured 22 others - as teen is seen walking away clutching his bloody face
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The video is too short for me to get useful information from it, but so many here are trained to understand such moments that I hope you will do better, dear Reader.
  • Footage taken moments before the Kansas City shooting erupted on Wednesday shows the suspects in a heated exchange

  • A minor is also seen leaving the scene with his hand covered in blood as he clutches his face, with one witness saying the individual had lost part of their jaw

  • A mother of two was killed and 22 people were injured by gunfire on Wednesday afternoon, when shots erupted amid the throng of Chiefs fans

On the Peculiar Coverage of the Kansas City Shooting

[NationalReview] That this was not a “mass shooting” in the way that that term is typically used, but was an argument between two illegally armed minors that turned violent. This isn’t pedantry; it matters. When determining what to do about crime, it is important to understand the nature of the crime in question. From what I can tell, the aim of the two alleged shooters was not to hurt or kill those around them; they just didn’t care if they did. That does not describe most “mass shooters.”

...Once again, the media is exhibiting a chronic lack of imagination in its coverage of gun-related crime, which is invariably marked out by a fanatical obsession with gun-control and a total lack of interest in anything else.

Remembering The Truth Teller from Cape Giradeau
[PJ] On this day in 2021, America lost a great man: the "Mayor of Realville" and "America’s Anchorman," the great Rush Limbaugh.

Rush Limbaugh was more than a radio announcer or show host. He was a unique American genius, a patriot who inspired millions. From his one-line zingers — "For government to give, it must first take away" — to his thoughtful monologues, Rush was incomparable. He created a new generation of conservatives and set the gold standard for conservative talk media. Yet, despite his massive fame and popularity, there was nothing elitist or unapproachable about Rush; many of his listeners, including those who never met him, thought of him as their friend.

The college dropout turned radio and TV sensation, the show host honored by presidents and intellectual giants, the "All-Seeing, All-Knowing, All-Everything Maha Rushie," who took on the left "with half my brain tied behind my back to make it fair." America tuned in daily to hear his jokes, his critiques, his political observations, his predictions and analyses. As he put it, he had "talent on loan from God."

#1  Personal Note: In 1988+, when I was working Ft. Bragg, my site banned personal radios in the building. So at lunch, many would quickly head out to their vehicles to sit and listen to his Opening Monologue, and grab a snack. It did not take long before a little lunch time tailgate was in operation.

In short, Rush was loved by the military that I was around.

Regarding the pair trying to fill his time slot.
To me they come off as a PC watered down version.
Its like they are trying say something that we want to hear, while appeasing the New Normal PC for their advertisers.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Incest Is Best? The Economist Says Copulating-Cousins Cool ‘In Most Cases’
[ZERO] With America facing population collapse thanks to a pandemic which compounded already-shrinking birth rates, petrified young men who don't want to get #MeToo'd for trying to get past 1st base, and record numbers of young Americans identifying as anything but heterosexual, The Economist wants you to know that it's "probably fine" to bang your cousin, which they also note is "illegal in 25 American states."
Cousin marriages among Pakistani Moslem immigrants has resulted in a significantly larger portion of birth defects among their babies compared to British babies as a whole than the Brit-Pakistani portion of the general population.
After a dig at Kentucky for a 'quickly withdrawn' proposal to remove "first cousin" from the state list of incestuous family relations, the article goes on to 'ackshually' explain that the risk of genetic mutations among the offspring of first cousins is 'greater' than non-incest relations, however 'the increase is quite small.'
When dealing with a strong cultural preference coupled with a tradition of arranged marriages that has been going on for over a millennium, the results are catastrophic.
Justifying 'kissing cousins' further, The Economist suggests that it's unfair to prevent incest because "Many other couples face far higher risks of genetic complications for their offspring, and those unions are not banned," such as people with recessive genes for certain disorders, such as sickle-cell anemia or cystic fibrosis, their offspring has a 25% chance of being born with that disorder, "Yet those marriages are allowed."

"The law against first-cousin marriage is a major form of discrimination," said University of Washington Department of Medicine Director of Genetic Counseling, Robin Bennett (M.S., CGC, (she/her)).
Director Bennett is a posturing, parochial fool.
Counselling Directory UK adds:
Research done at Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad (the capital of Pakistain) states that more than half of the population of Pakistain marries their first cousin. This is a common practice globally in many cultures and countries, but it is far more common in Pakistain than in any other country with a high percentage of 55-60% marrying their first cousins.

For British Paks, moving away from their hometown and leaving behind family is not easy. Many start a fresh life in the UK but eventually become fearful that they will lose their cultural values and, as a way to stay connected, they encourage or even force their children to marry back home within the family. This is an attempt to keep family ties strong and maintain family relationships.

Others will frown upon the British culture i.e. clubbing, dating, pre-marital sexual relationships and as a way to prevent their children from engaging, consanguineous marriages will take place.

Many in the community are unaware of the tragic consequences of cousin marriages.

Genetic conditions can affect anyone, but the problem arises when the couple (related) both carry abnormal genes. If the baby inherits the gene from the father and the mother, in which case chances of the baby being born with genetic disorders will be higher, mental and or physical. If the baby is born healthy, then the father and mother may not carry the gene or the baby did not inherit it.

In Bradford, one of the largest Pak communities in Britannia, 75% of Paks marry their first cousins, anywhere between 4 and 10% of the children in these families will be born with genetic abnormalities, these illnesses are often fatal.

One-third of children with diseases caused by recessive genes will die before they turn five.

More than 70 published British scientific studies have shown that cousin marriages lead to an increased chance of having a child born with a rare genetic disorder. A significant number of these children will have serious kidney or liver problems. Many genetic and mental disorders are progressive with age and time and there is no permanent cure for these children.
Deafness among Pakistani-Brit babies is a serious problem.
With growing awareness of these facts and figures, over the past two decades, the practice of cousin marriages has reduced within some groups, but the custom continues. The older generation does not see an issue with consanguine marriages and believes that this practice keeps the bond and love intact between families.

Views of the younger generation have changed with education and knowledge, whereas about 20 years ago most people did not oppose consanguineous marriages. It is slowly becoming outdated.

#5  There are some advantages to cousin marriages. In a clan-based society, it keeps the wealth inside the clan and avoids inheriting political entanglements.

From a genetic standpoint, it increases your offspring's chances of getting two copies of a good gene. Animal breeders do this all the time.

It also increases the chances of getting two copies of a bad gene. This is ungood. In animal husbandry, you can eat the results of your failed experiments. With humans, the results continue to make copies of themselves. This is double plus ungood.

'I hate to say it, but truckers are for Trump. Ain't no motherf***ers are for Biden.'

Since sharing the video, others have chimed in on the alleged boycott saying they supported the move.

Another added: 'We can always rely on the trucker to restore some semblance of the right thing in response.

-War on Police-
Black Harvard professor says ‘all hell broke loose' when his study found no racial bias in police shootings
[FoxNews] Roland Fryer said he lived under police protection during the fallout of his study

A Harvard professor said that "all hell broke loose" and he was forced to go out in public with armed security after he published a study that found no evidence of racial bias in police shootings.

During a sit-down conversation with Bari Weiss of The Free Press, Harvard Economics Professor Roland Fryer discussed the fallout from a 2016 study he published on racial bias in Houston policing.
How is that a topic for an economics study rather than sociology or law enforcement? Not arguing with his data, though I’d like to see it replicated with a different data set, just wondering how he came to do the study.
The study found that police were more than twice as likely to manhandle, beat or use some other kind of nonfatal force against blacks and Hispanics than against people of other races. However, the data also determined that officers were 23.8 percent less likely to shoot at blacks and 8.5 percent less likely to shoot at Hispanics than they were to shoot at whites.

When Fryer claimed the data showed "no racial differences in officer-involved shootings," he said, "all hell broke loose," and his life was upended.

Fryer received the first of many complaints and threats four minutes after publication.
Four minutes??? How on earth did that happen?
"You're full of s—t," the sender said.

Fryer said people quickly "lost their minds" and some of his colleagues refused to believe the results after months of asking him not to print the data.

"I had colleagues take me to the side and say, 'Don't publish this. You'll ruin your career,'" Fryer revealed.

The world-renowned economist knew from comments by faculty that he was likely to garner backlash. Fryer admitted that he anticipated the results of the study would be different and would confirm suspicions of racial bias against minorities. When the results found no racial bias, Fryer hired eight new assistants and redid the study. The data came back the same.
Okay then.
After the report was published, Fryer lived under police protection for over a month. He had a seven-day-old daughter at the time and went shopping for diapers.

"I was going to the grocery store to get diapers with the armed guard. It was crazy. It was really, truly crazy," he said.

Fryer, who became the youngest tenured Black professor at Harvard at age 30, was suspended for two years from the university in 2019 after he allegedly engaged in "unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature. He continues to deny the allegations.

At the time, then-Harvard dean Claudine Gay claimed Fryer's research and conduct with other employees "exhibited a pattern of behavior" that failed to meet expectations within the community.

"The totality of these behaviors is a clear violation of institutional norms and a betrayal of the trust," she said.

Gay resigned from her position as Harvard president in early January after widespread plagiarism allegations and criticism of her testimony to Congress, where she failed to fully clarify whether calling for the genocide of Jews violates Harvard's policies against bullying and harassment.

#7  "The totality of these behaviors is a clear violation of institutional norms and a betrayal of the trust," she said.

This is just meaningless corpobabble. Claudine knew how to play the game to get ahead, including power struggles with people she disagreed with. But if she ever read Greek tragedies, she would know that Hubris is generally followed by Nemesis.

If Harvard accepted and published research like Roland Fryer's, it might begin to rebuild its damaged reputation and actually begin leading the country into rational and helpful actions.

More than 4,000 new law enforcement recruits in Florida
[JustTheNews] Each of the 4,000 new recruits receive a $5,000 bonus after taxes, bringing the total amount awarded through the program to more than $27 million.

More than 4,000 police officers have moved to Florida or become new recruits through Florida’s law enforcement recruitment bonus program.

The program was first launched in April 2022 after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law allocating $125 million for bonuses to benefit local police officers, sheriff’s deputies, paramedics, EMTs and firefighters statewide.

DeSantis recently presented the 4,000th bonus check to Bay County Sheriff’s Deputy Matthew Belthrop, who relocated from Virginia to take advantage of the program.

New recruits have moved to Florida from all 50 states and two U.S. territories, DeSantis said. Nearly 10% of all new recruits, more than 340, have relocated from the Democratic led states of Illinois, California and New York. The majority are young Floridians who are new to law enforcement.

Florida is currently experiencing a 50-year crime low.
Belthrop’s bonus check was for $6,693, including the federal taxes he would owe on the $5,000.

“As the Biden Border Crisis rages on and fentanyl continues to flow over our southern border, it is more important now than ever to support our law enforcement agencies with the funding and support they need to protect our communities,” DeSantis said when he presented Belthrop with his award check at the Florida Sheriff’s Association Conference.

DeSantis said when he was in southern California, police chiefs told him “‘all my police officers want to move to Florida.’” When he was in northern New Hampshire, residents said, “Florida was synonymous with law and order” and told him how much they love Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

Judd has been leading the charge on multi-agency task forces targeting human and drug smuggling, and warning about the dangers of the border crisis impacting his county and the state of Florida. He recently warned that “the silent problem” in America is “we don't know how many terrorists have come into this country over that southern border that have not made any noise yet. But they're coming here and they're mustering and they're planning for the next event and it's going to occur.”

DeSantis said communities were struggling nationwide in jurisdictions whose politicians embraced defunding law enforcement and “soft on crime policies” like implementing no cash bail. In 2020, the Florida legislature passed protections against defunding law enforcement and began allocating funding to give law enforcement officers $1,000 bonuses for three consecutive years. In 2022, the recruitment program was created.

In addition to the $5,000 recruitment bonus, the program includes several initiatives to help those in law enforcement. One is the Florida Law Enforcement Academy Scholarship Program, which covers tuition, fees, and up to $1,000 of eligible education expenses for trainees enrolled in a law enforcement officer basic recruit training program.

It also offers a reimbursement program to pay for up to $1,000 of equivalency training costs for certified law enforcement officers who relocate to Florida or members of the special operations forces who become full-time law enforcement officers in Florida.

Law enforcement officers’ children may also be eligible to receive a Family Empowerment Scholarship to attend private schools through the program. Law enforcement officers who adopt children through the state’s child welfare system can also receive a $10,000 benefit per child or a $25,000 benefit for adopting a child with special needs.

“I think we're better shaped than anywhere else because people are more likely to want to join [a law enforcement agency] in Florida,” DeSantis said. “A lot of the young people have been told that somehow this isn't a good profession or what they see in the media so we were really wanting to push back against that” by implementing the program.

He also said the legislature is “doubling down on our commitment to this bonus program” and working to renew it again for the next fiscal year.

Florida is currently experiencing a 50-year crime low. Overall crime is down nearly 10% year-over-year; murder is down 14%; burglary is down 15%; robbery is down 17%.

As the ute said the other day, we spend our money and party in Florida but only commit the crimes in NY.

#2  It's a dumb idea to do crime in most of Florida. The law will catch up with you and you will go to jail. A few locales like Miami-Dade and Hillsborough County (Tampa) are "know where you are and where you should not be" type places, but for the most part it's very safe here.

Mayhem erupts in Hague as brawling 'migrants' torch cars, trash buildings and hurl bricks at riot cops - turning Dutch city into a WARZONE
Send ‘em all home. Clearly at this generation of young Eritreans cannot be trusted to live among civilized people. Perhaps their children will someday do better.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A violent riot erupted on the streets of the Hague last night, as 'migrants' attacked cops with bricks and torched police cars.

Dozens of rioters were filmed surrounding the Opera conference hall along Fruitweg in the Netherlands, as multiple police vans drove to the scene.

Another clip also showed the aftermath. The building had several smashed windows and parked vehicles were on fire, with the street left looking like a warzone.

A fight broke out between two groups of Eritreans. 'It got seriously out of hand,' The Hague Municipality spokesman Robin Middel said last night.

Middel said a group loyal to Eritrea's government was holding a meeting when the venue was attacked by Eritreans who oppose the African nation's government.

Shards of glass covered the streets and smoke from the tear gas could be seen seeping into the air, as coppers had their cars pelted by bricks, bikes and traffic signs.

Officers dressed in riot gear barricaded the entrance to the building and dealt with a fire that had broken out inside. They removed what appeared to be a fuel canister from the property.

Youths were dressed in hooded jackets and some covered their faces with scarves and balaclavas.

The fighting is the latest outbreak of violence at Eritrean events in Europe.

Dozens of people, including at least 26 police officers, were injured during unrest surrounding an Eritrean cultural festival in the southwestern German city of Stuttgart in September 2023.

A fight the same month between Eritrean government supporters and opponents in Tel Aviv led to violent street confrontations among African asylum-seekers and migrants.

Months earlier, a clash at an Eritrean festival in the western German city of Giessen left 22 police officers injured.

Tens of thousands of people have fled Eritrea for Europe, many alleging they were mistreated by the repressive government of President Isaias Afwerki.

The conflicts underscore deep divisions among members of the Eritrean diaspora between those who remain close to the government and those who have fled to live in exile and strongly oppose Isaias.

#4  small riot, about a 100-120 participants, boy's and girls in blue had the situation under control in about 2 hours, tons of camera footage of the perpetrators, all traces will be erased in about 24 hours, this is a neighbourhood where the natives and non natives get uppity 3-4 a year, nothing special.

A useful perspective, Rupert Gleck2911, thank you. Upsetting that this is indeed nothing special, but I realize most people aren’t as sheltered as I.

And an especial thank you to you and all your crew for making the world safer.

#8  Daily Mail videos disagree with your opinion Rupert Gleck2911 that it was a small riot. Seemed like a lot more than 200 protestors burning several vehicles, smashing windows and throwing stones.
To me it was reminiscent of our BLM riots sans tear gas. Of course all thing in their perspective.

Fifth Column
For Decades Cuban Spy Held Top State Dept. Jobs
Official Cover people, why do they hate us ?
[NewsMax] Manuel Rocha was well known in Miami’s elite circles for an aristocratic, almost regal, bearing that seemed fitting for an Ivy League-educated career U.S. diplomat who held top posts in Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba and the White House. "Ambassador Rocha," as he preferred to be called, demanded and got respect.
Are there more like Mani? Yes. Bear and woodland defecation rule applies.
So former CIA operative Félix Rodríguez was dubious in 2006 when a defected Cuban Army lieutenant colonel showed up at his Miami home with a startling tip: "Rocha," he quoted the man as saying, "is spying for Cuba."

Rodriguez, who participated in the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba and the execution of revolutionary "Che" Guevara, believed at the time that the Rocha tip was an attempt to discredit a fellow anti-communist crusader. He said he nonetheless passed the defector’s message along to the CIA, which was similarly skeptical.
Klingons 'skeptical' of a patriot, soldier, and professional? Shocking !
"No one believed him," Rodriguez said in an interview with The Associated Press. "We all thought it was a smear."

That long-ago tip came rushing back in devastating clarity in December when the now-73-year-old Rocha was arrested and charged with serving as a secret agent of Cuba stretching back to the 1970s — what prosecutors called one of the most brazen and long-running betrayals in the history of the U.S. State Department.
Source recruitment be hard.

#5  Greg Allen NPR: ALLEN: Right. Well, you know, he's charged with acting as an illegal foreign agent for Cuba. And there's other charges... a conspiracy charge and numerous counts of fraud. The indictment says after he was recruited by the Cuban intel agency, he became a U.S. citizen and then applied for work at the State Department. And from 1981 to 2002, he served in a variety of diplomatic posts. He was in the Dominican Republic, in Argentina, in Cuba, and then finally ended his career as ambassador to Bolivia. The indictment doesn't indicate what secrets or other information he may have transmitted to Cuba, but he's charged with being an illegal agent. At this point, he's not been charged with espionage.

#7  Rocha and his ilk are the reason that I don’t think that countries like Cuba, Russia and China were paying Hunter for access to Joe’s dated garage intel. The big governments all had spies inside to provide the current document, codes etc ala cart by Door Dash. Hunter was probably having Joe bring home files that related to his Burisma work. In actuality, the files were Hunter’s Burisma work. He certainly, was not valuable for his personal experience and expertise. Ukraine has plenty of addicts and hookers that precluded the need to go outside to fill Hunter’s board position.
