-Great Cultural Revolution
Defunding Child Sexualizers Like The Kinsey Institute Should Be A No-Brainer For Republicans
[Federalist] If conservatives want to win the culture war, we need to stop funding our enemies. Republicans are finally realizing this — well, some Republicans are, about some of their enemies.

For example, the Indiana Legislature passed a 2024 budget that bans state funding for the notorious Kinsey Institute. That radical bastion of the sexual revolution has long been hosted at Indiana University, becoming an official part of the university in 2016. IU and the Kinsey Institute are now planning for their separate futures, albeit in a desultory way.

Neither seems to want to accept that it’s over, so they have set up a working group that will host "a series of public listening sessions aimed at better understanding specific and diverse concerns related to the State’s funding restrictions and the university’s protection of the Kinsey Institute." The general vibe is of an institution that is shocked that conservatives actually turned off the cash spigot to an organization that hates them and everything they believe.

After all, though conservatives have long complained about government funding for this sort of thing, they have rarely done anything about it. Now some are, and the Kinsey Institute is a particularly apt target. Conservatives loathe it not only for its predictably leftist views on sex and the sexes, but because of its notorious founder and namesake. Alfred Kinsey’s goal was to break down sexual norms and restraints; he achieved this by collecting data to show that they were already being widely broken.

Kinsey was an activist, not a disinterested scientist, and as Al Mohler laid out recently in a World magazine opinion piece, Kinsey lied about the sources for some of his data. But as Mohler noted, that scientific dishonesty is nothing to the enormity of what that data was about: the sexual responses of children, including infants, data that was collected by sexually abusing them. Kinsey was enthusiastic about getting data from a prolific child molester and offered him money and support to bring him to the institute.

Furthermore, by publishing data on children’s sexuality that was supplied by a pederast, Kinsey gave support to the old pedophilic excuse that the victims wanted to be abused and enjoyed it. Indeed, it could hardly have been otherwise, given the source. But Kinsey was determined to sexualize even infants as part of his fight for sexual liberation. And the Kinsey Institute still defends what he did.

Consequently, the fight over funding the Kinsey Institute is about more than relitigating the life of its vile namesake. Rather, it is about his intellectual and cultural legacy. The reflexive defense of Kinsey takes on more sinister overtones given the left’s renewed emphasis on viewing children as sexual agents, exemplified by its obsession with "LGBT kids." Today’s LGBT movement is not about what adults do in private, but about claiming kids as its own.

Yet even as they focus on children, LGBT activists are admitting that their justification for doing so — the mantra of "born this way" — was a lie, albeit one they view as noble and effective. As Lydia Polgreen recently wrote in The New York Times, "Believing gay people had no choice but to be gay was a critical way station on the road to accepting homosexuality as just another way of being in the world." But as she acknowledged, her own experience was very different. As she wrote, "like many queer people, I had many different romantic entanglements in my youth, and had I not met my wife in college it is not impossible to imagine that I might have ended up on another path. I certainly did not experience myself as being born any particular way."

She then admitted that many people change their sexual orientation, and added, "I think most of us know intuitively that sexual orientation is not binary, and is subject to change over the course of our lives." Polgreen concluded, "To many queer people, myself very much included, it feels like an incomplete account of their experiences, a simplification that shortchanges their lives."

Marissa Streit - 'The Ivy League must fall so America can rise'
[Human Events] We’ve been warning America for decades about the left-wing, illiberal indoctrination in our education system. And, for doing so, we have been called racist, bigoted, right-wing extremists.

Unfortunately, it took students celebrating the Hamas massacre, direct attacks against Jews on campuses, and the abysmal testimonies of presidents from our most "esteemed" colleges to finally wake people up. The moral rot on our campuses has been fully revealed for all Americans to see—an unsettling revelation that, regrettably, is no surprise.

Perhaps we can find a silver lining during these dark times? Americans are finally waking up—and they are starting to ask the right questions:

What is happening at our colleges? Why are university leaders so disappointing? Does the truth matter on America’s "elite" campuses?

Millions of Americans, busy working hard and raising their families, haven’t been paying attention to what was taking place on college campuses. They are now left wondering: what on earth is going on?

People who considered themselves "educated" and "open-minded" are now experiencing complete shock. The institutions they have been worshiping, where they spent a significant portion of their life’s savings and entrusted with their children, have completely betrayed them. Not only did they pay for a subpar education, but their children emerged brainwashed with radical illiberal and senseless ideas.

Arabia
The crisis in the Red Sea will force the West to bow to Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Strelnikov

[RIA] The most humiliating thing is when you decide to punish and cancel someone, but life forces you to bow to him again. Perhaps this will happen to the famous manufacturer of furniture and household goods, IKEA, which at one time loudly slammed the door with a scandal and “significantly deprived millions of Russians of a breath of Western life.”

Yesterday, IKEA said that due to the attacks on ships in the Red Sea, “there may be disruptions in supply chains and some items will be out of stock in stores due to logistics problems,” meaning that Western life may now be available to more than just everyone.

What does Russia have to do with it?

Let us recall that since the end of October, the Yemeni Houthis began regular attacks on commercial ships (mostly Israeli) traveling through the Red Sea, which was a response to the “disgusting Israeli-American aggression in Gaza.”
Actually, almost all the ships attacked have no ties to Israel whatsoever, despite loudly repeated claims by the Houthis and Russian propagandists. But do go on...
But, as usual in such cases, everyone was targeted (except for one exception). Not wanting to take risks, deliveries through the Red Sea were almost simultaneously stopped by all the largest shipping and transport companies, among them: Danish Maersk, Swiss Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), German Hapag-Lloyd, French CMA CGM and oil and gas giant BP.

The refuseniks, who account for more than half of the world's container traffic alone, are now feverishly considering new routes, including a circuitous route around Africa , via the Cape of Good Hope. But calculators and geography are stubborn things, they do not lend themselves to persuasion and pressure: for example, the round-Africa route extends the route from Asia to Europe by eight thousand kilometers and 10-14 days, purely in terms of fuel, it increases the cost of each “trip” by at least a million dollars (on average - by 15 percent).

As a result, since the beginning of the actual transport blockade of the Red Sea by the Houthis, Western economies have already lost at least 35 billion dollars, the flow of goods through the Red Sea has decreased by 30 percent, panic has begun in Europe due to the rupture of logistics chains, the delivery of goods is becoming more expensive, which inevitably leads to higher prices . On fears of supply disruptions, stock prices for gas in Europe jumped by 10-13 percent, and oil prices are rising every day.

Let us note that all this leapfrog has nothing to do with Russian ships calmly sailing through the Red Sea, which the Houthi radars, by a strange coincidence, cannot detect.

Not possessing such anti-radar technologies, the United States urgently began to put together an international coalition to “ensure the safety of navigation in the Red Sea”, and in fact for military aggression against the Houthis, but against the backdrop of a general mobilization announced in Yemen and the start of mining by the Houthis of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and Red Sea, the safe passage of ships in this region can be forgotten for the foreseeable future.

But there is a route free from Houthis, mines and politics - the Russian Northern Sea Route, which Vladimir Putin recently recalled amid the groans of world carriers : “The Northern Sea Route is becoming a more efficient transport artery than the Suez Canal.”
Is it?
And this route is much shorter and cheaper than any of the shortest routes from Asia to Europe and vice versa.
Why, then, is it not the route most taken?
Let's take a map and calculator from the Maersk company and see: for example, the route from Japan to Murmansk is 6,000 nautical miles (just over 11,000 kilometers). The route from Japan to the nearest European ports via the Suez Canal is almost twice as long - 12,000 miles, or more than 22,000 kilometers. The journey from the ports of the Pacific region countries to Europe via Suez takes about 37 days, while through the Northern Sea Route from the main Asian ports to the same Great Britain you can sail in just 25 days. If we take the route from Rotterdam to Yokohama, the difference will be 13 days: 20 along the NSR versus 33 through the Suez Canal.

This is a colossal saving of tens and hundreds of billions of dollars annually, and no politics or Russophobia can force large businesses (including IKEA) to ignore this opportunity.

But Russia opens up very wide opportunities and gives the most serious guarantees. Russia is now in full swing implementing the federal project "Development of the Northern Sea Route", according to which cargo traffic along the NSR will increase to 80 million tons in 2024, by 2030 - to 110 million tons, and by 2035 - to 220 million tons. And these figures were announced long before the crisis in the Red Sea, which means they are guaranteed to be higher.

Right now, a special satellite constellation is being created in the interests of the Northern Sea Route, and the icebreaker fleet is being developed at an accelerated pace, due to which, from 2024, navigation in the Arctic will become year-round.
Oh. That explains why it’s not in common use now. Are the Russians likely to be able to build their icebreaker fleet so quickly?
You may or may not believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin foresaw the crisis in the Red Sea, but back on July 20 of this year he gave instructions to quickly create “icebreakers of the largest class” for the Northern Sea Route. Until recently, it was difficult for standard oil tankers or gas carriers to navigate the NSR, because the icebreakers that are now being mass-produced at the Baltic Shipyard are narrower in width than they are.

With the commissioning of large-class icebreakers, this issue will be removed, and it will be possible to completely redirect all trade cargo traffic from Asia to Europe and back through the Russian Arctic, thanks to which the Northern Sea Route has every opportunity to become a key transport corridor for exporting oil, liquefied natural gas, mineral fertilizers, metals and other products with high added value.
It will be interesting to see if Russia can indeed quickly deliver on this promise.
As for the Arctic clones of the Houthis represented by the unfriendly countries of the Arctic region, we are ready to provide reliable protection to the international merchant fleet.
What Arctic clones of the Houthis?
In particular, this was transparently demonstrated in September of this year as part of an exercise to protect the Northern Sea Route with the firing of Vulcan, Granit and Oniks cruise missiles, in which about ten thousand military personnel and more than 50 units of military equipment and ships.

This year alone, the volume of shippers’ applications for passage through the NSR has increased significantly, and the global crisis in the Middle East , in fact, is just beginning.
From 1% to 2% is an increase of 100%...
This means that many of those who recently gloated or took part in anti-Russian sanctions will now experience the ancient Houthi proverb: “When war comes, you ask for bread.”
We say, “When war comes, pick up your rifle and go to meet it.”

#1  Alternatively, since Houtis cause serious financial losses to important Western companies - not to mention Chinese exports, da West will just bomb the sh*t outa them. Only Enemies of Humanity like Israel have to fallow UN's "rules of war".

Europe
Ayaan Hirsi Ali: The Death of the Old Europe‐and the Rise of the Right
[Free Press] Europe is in shock. Geert Wilders—variously called "far-right," an "anti-Islamist populist," and the Dutch Donald Trump—won last Wednesday’s election in the Netherlands. His party is now the biggest in the Dutch parliament. For years, Wilders has been an outcast, considered too toxic by mainstream politics and too extreme by the overwhelmingly liberal media. And yet he has won—and not by a small margin.

Europe is in shock. We are not.

That is because we both left the Netherlands because of the phenomena that have now brought Wilders to power.

What we have witnessed will tell you not just about how Wilders could win a landslide victory in one of the most liberal countries in Europe, but about what could soon be coming to countries like France, Germany, and other liberal democracies who fail to grapple with the dual challenge of mass migration and assimilation and ignore the very real concerns of their citizens.

Roseanne Barr says the US needs paper ballots and voter ID going into 2024 election
[Human Events] Jack Posobiec hosted Roseanne Barr at the Human Events Daily booth during AmFest, where he asked her how Americans can fight back against the threats to democracy that the nation is currently experiencing. She gave an impassioned response where she urged listeners to petition and get involved in the grassroots to ensure America's 2024 election is secure.

"I think it's imperative that everyone take back their local government, starting at the school board, starting at every level of your own community," she urged. "Petition, go there, talk to them, get everybody, have all your representatives, get everybody together for a summit to decide how you are going to get paper ballot and voter ID before the next election because, without them, we won't have a fair election."

"And that will be bad for what they call our democracy, even they have to admit it," Barr continued. "A stolen election isn't good for democracy. So, on both sides of both parties, I ask the American people, in '24, please get active in your local community government and make sure that we get paper ballots and voter ID so we can have a fair election."

This, she said, is what she cares about most.

VDH - 'Trump Derangement Syndrome Just Became Orwellian'
[American Greatness via Zero] It approved the erasure of Trump from the Republican primary ballot in Colorado, by invoking Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

That ossified clause was intended to bar any ante-bellum federal officials who joined the Confederacy from again holding federal offices after 1865.

In no way is Trump’s conduct on January 6 comparable to calling for secession, much less prompting a Civil War that cost the country 700,000 lives.

An "insurrectionist" president does not address unarmed protestors with qualifiers like, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

How also can one be guilty of insurrection without ever being indicted for such a supposed crime, much less convicted of it?

And the more we learn about January 6, all the more it appears to have been a spontaneous riot, more buffoonish in nature than conspiratorial.

No one has explained the mysterious, politicized January 6 refusal of the Speaker of the House to order a reinforcement of the Capitol police.

Or the FBI stonewalling about its informants in the crowd.

Or the revealing admissions of New York Times reporter Matthew Rosenberg ("a ton of FBI informants among the people who attacked the Capitol").

Or the warped composition and conduct of the January 6 congressional committee.

Or the months-long official disinformation surrounding the number and circumstances of those who died that day.

Turn Out the Lights, the Country's Over: TSA Accepting Arrest Warrants as ID for Illegal Immigrants
[PJ] I wish, oh how I wish I could tell you that the headline is a joke. It almost has to be a joke, right? No sane country would accept an arrest warrant as a form of ID, right? Well, this is no longer a sane country. But you probably already know that by now. But no one, even in an opium-induced fever dream, would think that the TSA would accept an arrest warrant as a form of legal ID. But it apparently does, and I think at this point, any doubts that the inmates have taken over the asylum or that there is a cabal so dedicated to left-wing ideology that no idea, no matter how ludicrous, should be taken off the table, can be put to rest. I would very much like to believe that this administration has lost its mind and is randomly pushing buttons until something happens. But we can't take evil off the table. We would be stupid if we did.
