Ex-Port Authority Official Says ‘Evidence Exists’ Christie Knew About Lane Close

#1  ...even if found to be untrue, it's just the latest in the "drip.drip.drip" that will probably kill Christies chances...frankly, I'm conflicted about this...

From each according to his ability: Gov. Jerry Brown Speaks To KCAL9
Excerpt:

The president called me today. He offered to do whatever he can do. He obviously can't make it rain (say what?!), he said.

But there are some parts of California that are more privileged from the point of view of water availability than others (Equality! For All!). So we have systems (and pens...and phones.). We can transfer it.

But there are a lot of water rights ( probably stolen from someone, and now the state can do with them as it wishes.), a lot of rules (rules pfffffffft, they're not exactly like "laws" or anything.), so we've got to cut through ("This might hurt a little bit.") that and make sure that those who need it most get the water to the extent we have it available.

("We" as in the Royal sense, I presume...)

#1  SO... they are going to send water to the cities, and dry up the farms that feed those folks.

Goodbye California, hello Soylent Green.

#2  Jerry is talking to the wrong guy, in the wrong language. After all, the majority in CA is Spanish, so the Gov needs to get with it. Where is Linda Ronstadt when you need her?

¿Podría traerme un poco de agua?

#3  California has been in a drought for a long, long time. Has nothing to do with water.
Posted by: JohnQC || 01/31/2014 7:02 Comments || Top||

#4  Apparently, they haven't gotten to Green yet.

#5  Phase I of clearing out the Central Valley was cutting off the water. Phase II will be to transfer what is left to the cities. Phase III will work towards final depopulation. Project complete. There next task will focus on clearing out the suburbs.

#6  Get used to it CA. The Twentieth Century was the wettest for the west in 1200 years, recent years are returning to normal.

#7  We know it's a desert. We know there used to be a whole tribe of Indians just south of the Mexican border who lived by fishing in the Colorado River. But southern Californians now get all the water, the river is a trickle by the time it gets to the border and the Indians are now picking our lettuce. They tell us to conserve water while they continue to issue water hookup permits for massive new housing tracts. How is that conserving water? I'm already taking three minute showers but I will NOT let my lawn go brown. Moonbeam can bite me.

#8  Careful what you say, EU. What if he took you up on that? Do you really want rabies?

#9  Probably an inappropriate expression, used to express contempt, not to be taken literally.

#10  Immigration. People coming in by the droves. Overloading carefully planned resources by past generations to handle growth of future American generations, not a free for all human mega rush sponsored by the Demorats.

Complaint: Wendy Davis failed to disclose income, lobbyist ties
...OK, there were 1099's and W-2's transmitted to the IRS, right? How far behind is the IRS with document matching? Or are they just too busy with "other stuff"..?

#1  Ooops, another flaw in the candidate's background...or is she going to play the "Democrat card"... "Every one makes a mistake from time to time, I'm sorry this was an oversight on my part. Please elect me, don't think less of me."
Posted by: Au Auric || 01/31/2014 0:47 Comments || Top||

#2  Here Wendy. As a Dem and with today's IRS, I doubt you'll need this, but one never knows.

#3  This woman is desperate and running scared. She is coming up with all kinds of outlandish B.S. to try to win. She is behind in the polls.
Posted by: JohnQC || 01/31/2014 7:09 Comments || Top||

#4  But John, she truly is the victim. She needed the cash for legal fees associated with a failed gender reassignment operation and associated Post Traumatic Stress.
Posted by: Besoeker || 01/31/2014 7:21 Comments || Top||

#5  How dare you evil people investigate her? She's a woman who had a hard life! Besides, she's in favor of killing unborn babies, I mean of a woman's right to choose. Leave Wendy alone!

#7  How far behind is the IRS with document matching?

Generally 18 months.

#8  Possible fallback for Ms. Davis. Some training required.
Posted by: Besoeker || 01/31/2014 10:05 Comments || Top||

#9  It's rare to see a candidate crash and burn so hard. In a better world they'd have replaced her already.
Posted by: Iblis || 01/31/2014 10:48 Comments || Top||

#10  Iblis: Could she possibly have some sort of ..... hold on Dem decision makers ?
Posted by: Besoeker || 01/31/2014 10:51 Comments || Top||

#11  The word is that she's a Soros pet. That's where the bulk of her money and support are coming from. Well, that's the word.
Posted by: Elmaish Slans6522 || 01/31/2014 11:06 Comments || Top||

#12  Besoeker: She wouldn't last 1 day working there...
Posted by: BA || 01/31/2014 11:09 Comments || Top||

#13  I am sure the IRS will find her documents even if it takes a weekend to craft them from scratch. She is a big Democrat hero and they want to make a point that they can turn Texas blue and cause Republicsns to waste money defending the red turf.

#15  I don't think she has a showball's chance in Hell in being elected to anything in Texas - even if she is the latest special pet of the Dem political machine. I suspect that to men, she comes off as the vindictive, gold-digging ex-wife or GF, to women as the self-centered manipulative mean girl, to Texas big-city newspapers as someone who gets all pissy because they refuse to be her personal hired publicists ... and to everybody across the board as someone being funded almost exclusively by outside interests. Some speculative comments I have seen are along the lines of her angling for a sinecure in the Big Dem political or media machine - outside of Texas.

#16  Even though some of the major metropolitan areas are blue, there are vast areas of rural red. You can't even call them suburbs of the metro areas there is that much distance. May of the smaller towns just outside of the metro areas are red and act as a buffer. Miles and miles of rural red.

#17  Besoeker: Maybe. Maybe she used to be a man. These days it's hard to come up with a scenario that's too crazy.
