[The Weekly Standard] Former President Bill Clinton called the terrorist group ISIS the "most interesting non-governmental organization today" in remarks at Georgetown University. A rather peculiar term of reference, 'interesting NGO.' I can't help wondering if he holds them in some perverted sense of admiration.
"Arguably the most interesting non-governmental organzation today, which proves the importance of inclusion by its short-comings but is formidable, is ISIS," said Clinton. Importance? Short-comings? How else might one categorize ISIS? Do they have a 'Toys for Tots' programme, or a NYC based PAC ?
"ISIS is a terrorist organization, an NGO, trying to become a state. That is, they don't recognize any of the boundaries of the Middle Eastern countries as legitimate. They were all established, drawn largely by Westerners after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in World War I. And so when they go capture a place, they set up their own judicial system, they set up their own rule making, they set up whatever their social services are going to be. And the only thing is, you can't disagree with them, or they'll kill you." Notice how he's all about process, not causation, not Islam? Any fees or honorariums this feral varmint harvests from colleges and universities should be immediately refunded the American taxpayer.

"And if I could figure out what they'd like to bribe influence me over, it could become a cornerstone of discussion."

What's interesting is Bill admits that the difference between benevolent NGO and criminal conspiracy is semantics.

Former president Clinton (as opposed to his wife, wannabe future president Clinton, whom we are not to call Hillary) doesn't usually have a tin ear. I'd love to know the context from which this is taken. Though with Fred out sick, that'll have to wait a bit.
[WV Public Broadcasting] U.S. Senator Joe Manchin is throwing his support behind Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for 2016. Clinton declared her candidacy earlier this month.
On a conference call with reporters Monday, Manchin called Clinton "warm, compassionate, engaging and tough" and ready for the job. 'Warm....compassionate'....? Yes, in a Pol Pot sort of way.
"Hillary has all the experience level. She's ready to go. She's been battle tested," he said. 'Ready to go?' Last time I heard that was from a 91 year old cousin at Timber Oaks. He was gone three months later.
So far, Clinton is the only Democrat to declare her candidacy. Republicans Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul have also thrown their hats into the ring.
In 2008, Manchin backed President Barrack Obama in the Democratic race.
Manchin was talked about as a possible Vice Presidential candidate for Clinton in the past. This time, the senator says he believes his candidacy is "the furthest thing from their mind right now." Union coal miners being right at the top. Nice job with the talking points Joe.
