Judge Refuses To Dismiss ‘Bridgegate’ Complaint Against New Jersey’s Christie
[OANN] A New Jersey judge on Thursday refused to dismiss a citizen’s criminal complaint against Governor Chris Christie over the "Bridgegate" scandal but ordered a lower court to review it to determine whether the case should continue.

Bergen County Superior Court Judge Bonnie Mizdol rejected Christie’s request to toss the complaint outright. But she agreed with both Christie’s lawyers and county prosecutors that a lower court judge erroneously denied the governor’s attorney an opportunity to participate in a prior hearing in October.

The complaint was filed in September by Bill Brennan, a retired firefighter and activist who recently announced he would run for governor this year.

Brennan accused Christie of knowing about a plot to close lanes at the George Washington Bridge in 2013 in order to punish a local mayor for failing to endorse Christie’s re-election bid.

Two former Christie allies were convicted last year of orchestrating the plot, and U.S. prosecutors introduced evidence at trial suggesting the governor was at least aware of the scheme. Christie, who has not been charged by prosecutors, has steadfastly denied that he knew about the closures at the time.

U.S. In Deal To Reform Baltimore Police After Freddie Gray Death
[OANN] The city of Baltimore will enact a series of police reforms including changes in how officers use force and transport prisoners under an agreement with the U.S. Justice Department filed in federal court on Thursday.

The agreement comes almost two years after the death of a black man, Freddie Gray, of injuries sustained while in police custody sparked a day of rioting and arson in the majority-black city. It also led to an investigation that found the city’s police routinely violated residents’ civil rights.

Outgoing U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said the deal, which is subject to a judge’s approval, would be binding even after President-elect Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
is sworn in on Jan. 20.

"The reforms in this consent decree will help ensure effective and constitutional policing, restore the community’s trust in law enforcement, and advance public and officer safety," Lynch told news hounds, flanked by recently elected Mayor Catherine Pugh.

The 227-page consent decree agreement is the result of months of negotiations after a federal report released in August found that the city’s 2,600-member police department routinely violated black residents’ civil rights with strip searches, by excessively using force and other means.

Caribbean-Latin America
Obama Will Return Illegal Cubans to Castro
WASHINGTON (Ay-Pee)... The Obama administration is ending the "wet foot, dry foot" policy that granted residency to Cubans who arrived in the United States without visas.
Caught my attention when I heard it on the radio yesterday.
The official said the U.S. and Cuba have spent several months negotiating the change, including an agreement from Cuba to allow those turned away from the U.S. to return.
What about Mexico, Champ? Not Marxist enough for ya?
The move comes about a week before President Barack Obama leaves office and is likely the last major change he will make to his overhaul of the U.S. relationship with Cuba.
Somebody please tell me this change is making the policy with Cuba the same as it already is with every other country. And that it won't be enforced any more than any other country.
Yet another executive order that can be reversed on January 21st...

Now if the Cubans would behave themselves and vote Democratic like good slaves on the plantation this wouldn't have happened. You don't see him writing this order on the Mexicans do you???

Protestors’ Goal: Stop Peaceful Transfer of Power
[NTKNETWORK] #DisruptJ20 organizer Legba Carrefour said Thursday that #DisruptJ20 members were "not in favor of the peaceful transition of power."
This is called "treason"...
The left-wing protest organization, #DisruptJ20, met Thursday to announce its intentions and plans to obstruct the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
on January 20. The group’s website reads: "We call on all people of good conscience to join in disrupting the ceremonies. If Trump is to be inaugurated at all, let it happen behind closed doors, showing the true face of the security state Trump will preside over."

"We need to stop the peaceful transition of power," Carrefour said at a presser at St. Stephen’s Church in Washington, DC. "We need to stop this kind of fascist government from coming to power."

Carrefour also rejected the calls of Democratic leaders to calm the anti-Trump protests.

"You saw Democratic luminaries from Obama to Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook...
say, ’Tamp this down, please stop this. The peaceful transition of power is of the upmost importance to the core element of democracy.'"

Fellow #DisruptJ20 organizer Lacy MacAuley backed up Carrefour, saying: "We absolutely are opposed to the transition" of power to Trump.

Remedy for Russian meddling should be new election
[THEHILL] It sounds like a story lifted from the pages of a spy novel. U.S. intelligence officials have concluded that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin
...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead...
led a cyberespionage scheme designed to help Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
win the presidential election.
Dastardly. Simply dastardly.
What's even worse is that Putin's plan worked and Trump now seems to be siding with Russia against U.S. intelligence agencies.
They're Russians. They can't be right. Moose and Squirrel -- right. Boris and Natasha -- wrong.
It's hard to know how to respond to this because it is unprecedented. But it is essential to take whatever action is necessary to make this right, as difficult, complicated and even uncomfortable as that may be.
... he said virtuously. Catch the signal?
The hard reality is that the presidential election we just held was delegitimized by foreign interference. This is not some conspiracy theory or fevered fantasy;
No, no! Certainly not!
it is a conclusion that flows directly from the unanimous assessments of the U.S. intelligence community.
They're the ones who had the story about the hookers peeing on the Obamabed, remember?
It would be an enormous mistake to ignore this, as Trump has suggested we should.
Enormous! (Not the same thing as "Yuuuge")
In fact, if we can confirm the intelligence report's conclusion that Putin intervened with the goal of electing Trump, there must be a new election in the United States.
Whoa! I am like, toadally blind-sided. But if the Dems win the new election they're trying to call, can we go for two out of three?
This sounds extraordinary, and of course it is.
Sounds pretty stupid, too. Ask the Supreme Court to set it aside. See what they tell you.
But it can be done,
Don't count on it.
and indeed must be done
Nope.
in order to uphold the fundamental democratic principle of free and fair elections, a principle undermined by the Russian efforts.
Wikileaks being a Russian tool, except for when it's releasing stuff exposing Republicans?
How would this take place? The first step should be to conduct further investigations aimed at determining whether the intelligence agencies' conclusions are correct.
Those kinda fell apart, dissolved in the rain from Goldenshowergate.
It is dangerous for Trump to suggest, without a shred of evidence, that the intelligence report is wrong.
It's starting to look stoopid for the lefties to keep maintaining that it's right. Bring on the leaky hookers!
But it would also be a mistake to accept the intelligence report without asking questions and getting more information.
So, really, the inauguration should be put off for another year or two...
Last week, the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee chaired by Sen. John Maverick McCain
... the Senator-for-Life from Arizona, former presidential candidate and even more former foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution...
(R-Ariz.) began holding hearings about Russian interference in the election. The McCain hearings are a good start, but more action is needed, including most importantly the establishment of an independent, nonpartisan body along the lines of the 9/11 commission.
McCain's involvement in procuring sullied information would seem to discredit his hearings, wouldn't? Will he be calling himself as a witness? Is he willing to testify before himself under oath? By the way, the 9-11 commission wound up in August 2004, so the current McCain hoe-down could logically be expected to run for another three years, through 2019.
If such a commission confirmed the intelligence conclusions (while also exploring other questions), it would then seek to determine whether Russian interference affected the election outcome and gave Trump a victory.

BBC Says it was Jeb Bush
[ConstitutionalRightsPac] Remington Christopher Steele, who wrote reports on compromising material Russian operatives allegedly had collected on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, is a former officer in Britain's Secret Intelligence Service, according to people familiar with his career.

Steele was initially hired by FusionGPS, a Washington, DC-based political research firm, to investigate Trump on behalf of unidentified Republicans who wanted to stop Trump's bid for the GOP nomination. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that Steele was initially hired by Jeb Bush, one of Trump's 16 opponents in the 2016 Republican primary. It was not immediately possible to verify the BBC's report.
Fusion GPS was hired by Planned Parenthood to prove the baby parts tapes were edited. Despite reporting they could not prove the tapes were edited they reported they were. Sleeze indeed.
As an aside, StemExpress, former Planned Parenthood partner, drops lawsuit against pro-life journalists
He was kept on assignment by FusionGPS after Trump won the nomination and his information was circulated to Democratic Party figures and members of the media.

Steele's dealings with the FBI on Trump, initially with the senior agent who had started the FIFA probe and then moved to a post in Europe, began in July. However, Steele cut off contact with the FBI about a month before the Nov. 8 election because he was frustrated by the bureau's slow progress.

The FBI opened preliminary investigations into Trump and his entourage's dealings with Russians that were based in part on Steele's reports, according to people familiar with the inquiries.

However, they said the Bureau shifted into low gear in the weeks before the election to avoid interfering in the vote. They said Steele grew frustrated and stopped dealing with the FBI after concluding it was not seriously investigating the material he had provided.

#1  Kinda hard to seriously investigate stuff that makes you want to burst out laughing.

I mean if that report had been printed in the Onion, it would have been really funny stuff...wait a minute you don't suppose this was SUPPOSED to be in the onion and some how the brief cases got switched with Steele???

Fails to pass the 'so what test.'

Clearly passes the 'BBC mouthpiece for the Ministry of Defense (MOD), MI6, and squirrel deflection test.

#4  Jeb is a member of the unified beltway party of which DJT is not a member. Any outsider is considered a threat to be dealt with. The bigger the threat the bigger the reaction.

Ted Cruz was only a minor threat since he was seen as still working on gaining true beltway status. DJT is a real outworld threat.

#8  I STILL say this would have been funny if it was in the Onion.

Imagine a story in National Lampoon about Trump tracking down Michelle Obumble's bed in a Moscow hotel and having two skanky prostitutes pee on it...I mean that would be funny.

In an intelligence report from an agency with a budget larger than many countries, it is NOT funny, it is sad, pathetic, and above all FRIGHTENING.

Do those clowns at Langley EVER do any serious work or do they sit around and wait from some blog to post something really silly? Or do they read all of those check out line expose papers for new intel?

#10  Using the good old A to F 1 to 6 rating system of intelligence sources, anyone with two brain cells to rub together would have classified this entire thing as a F-6 and it should never have seen the light of day.

I would propose that Trump is going to go through the CIA after this one like Sherman went through Atlanta.

NAACP accused of anti-GOP bias at Sessions confirmation hearing
[Wash Times] At a Senate hearing Wednesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham confronted the president of the NAACP with accusations that the civil rights group has an anti-Republican bias.
NAACP President Cornell Brooks was testifying in opposition to President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions for attorney general when Mr. Graham challenged his and the organization’s political motives.

Earlier, Mr. Brooks said that Mr. Sessions’ record "evinces a clear disregard, disrespect, and even disdain for the civil and human rights of racial and ethnic minorities, women, the disabled, and others who suffer from discrimination in this country."

"Based on his record and his statements, the NAACP strongly believes that confirmation of Senator Sessions as attorney general would be bad for America and could exacerbate already deepening racial divisions in this country," he told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Mr. Graham, South Carolina Republican, later asked what was Mr. Sessions’ score on the NAACP legislative score card.
"The senator has received a low grade, a failing grade, for years on end," Mr. Brooks said.

Democrats hunker down for ‘permanent opposition' to Donald Trump presidency
[Wash Times] For those stunned to see Tuesday’s Senate confirmation hearing disrupted by shouts, chants and protesters dressed as Ku Klux Klan members: Get used to it.

President-elect Donald Trump won’t take office for another week, but Democrats and left-wing groups have already laid the groundwork for a relentless four-year assault on his presidency, vowing to disrupt and discredit his administration long before he signs his first bill.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich have a name for it: the permanent opposition.
Short title - the PO'd
"You’re going to have a permanent opposition, sort of a combination of the news media and the Elizabeth Warren hard left, and they’re going to attack every single day and they’re going to find something to attack all the time," Mr. Gingrich said on Fox’s "Sunday Morning Futures."

"And Trump’s got to get used to the idea. ’That’s OK, that’s just noise,’" Mr. Gingrich said.

Trump warns CNN is in 'total meltdown with fake news'
[Iran Press TV] Incoming US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
has warned that the CNN news network "is in a total meltdown with their fake news" that would soon lead to its demise.

Trump made the comment on Thursday in a tweet following CNN's decision to publish a report on Tuesday which included allegations that Russian operatives claimed to possess compromising personal and financial information about Trump.

".@CNN is in a total meltdown with their FAKE NEWS because their ratings are tanking since election and their credibility will soon be gone!" Trump wrote on Twitter.

Trump has long been a critic of CNN, which he believes has been biased against him both during his presidential campaign and since his election victory.

Trump’s frustration with CNN was clearly visible during a presser on Wednesday at the Trump Tower in New York City, where he refused to take questions from a CNN correspondent, blasting the news network for spreading "fake news."

During the contentious exchange, CNN’s Jim Acosta pressed Trump to take a follow-up question after the president-elect assailed CNN for publishing a report Tuesday which included allegations that Russian operatives claimed to possess compromising information about Trump.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Poisoning the well: US intel sources warned Israel against sharing secrets with Trump administration
[Ynet] Israeli intelligence officials fear that top-secret information that has been exposed to the United States will be leaked to Russia--and from Russia to its close ally, Iran.

During the meeting, according to the Israelis who participated in it, their American colleagues voiced despair over Trump’s election, as he often lashes out at the American intelligence community.

’s upcoming inauguration as the next president of the United States is causing Israeli intelligence officials to lose sleep as well. Discussions held in closed forums recently raised fears of a leakage of Israeli intelligence top-classified information, clandestine modus oprandi and sources, which have been exposed to the American intelligence community over the past 15 years, to Russia ‐ and from there to Iran.

#1  A potential scenario: Israeli intelligence who rightly trusts no one, has had concerns for 15 years about leaks and recently voiced concerns about Trump to US Intelligence.

US Intelligence takes bait and immediately seizes the opportunity to begin eating cheese on Trump, using the BuzzFeed unsubstantiated data.

Then comes the warning; 'You know, we know, you (Israeli Intelligence) shut us off years ago.... so don't give Trump anything either.' Followed by Israel passing the entire episode to Ynet for dissemination. Little wonder Trump has a case of the arse.

Well played by Israeli intelligence.

I'm pretty sure the Israelis called BS on all of this because they already consider Trump a known quantity.

Heck they probably know more about Trump and his family than Trump does.

Government
Congress To Start Undoing Obama-Era Regulations This Month
[OANN] Republican politicians will begin voiding dozens of new U.S. regulations at the end of the month to fulfill their promise to undo Democratic President Barack Obama
I am not a dictator!...
’s legacy, focusing on environmental and labor rules, the House of Representatives’ second most powerful Republican said on Thursday.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy
...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's...
said the Republicans who will shortly control both Congress and the White House for the first time in 10 years have made reforming federal regulation a top priority alongside repealing the Obamacare
... aka the Affordable Care Act, an ineptly designed and worse executed piece of legislation designed to bring 17 percent of the U.S. economy under the direct control of the government. The previous iteration, known as Hillarycare, was laughed out of Washington. This stinker was passed on a party-line vote without being read...
healthcare program and rewriting the tax code.

Republicans are on a blitz to radically reform the vast federal bureaucracy, where they say appointed officials create costly, burdensome red tape that stifles economic growth. Once Republican President-elect Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
is inaugurated on Jan. 20, they will have a like-minded ally in the Oval Office to sign their measures into law.

On the chopping block are dozens of new rules that the outgoing B.O. regime has finalized since the end of May on energy, the environment, transportation, banking, finance, education and media ownership.

Republicans will ax them using the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress to void a single regulation for a brief window of time after it is issued.

Congress will begin a two-week marathon of voting to disapprove them on Jan. 30, according to McCarthy, who House aides say will lead the process. Disapproval resolutions can pass on simple majorities, giving Senate Democrats no power to block votes with filibusters.

#2  This is they key to reversing the effects of the Great Recession.

Small business formation is at its lowest level since the Republic was founded. The major obstacle is the regulatory leviathan. Every time the Obama administration deigned to even mention helping small business (maybe three times in eight years) it was always in the context of making it easier for them to borrow money. In other words, in the context of making more money for his Wall Street donors and making small businesses dependent on them.

Easy credit is nice. Regulatory reform infinitely better. As a small business guy, who associates with many others, I can tell you to a person that at this point in history, basically 100% of us want the latter, not the former.
