Impeachment Inquiry Into Joe Biden May Be Imminent
[PJ Media] After months of stringing us along, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is reportedly now expected to endorse an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.

McCarthy has long been reluctant to get behind impeachment without an airtight case. The evidence is damning, and frankly, we’ve waited long enough. Sources tell ABC News that “the next logical step” in the investigation of Joe Biden’s corruption is an impeachment inquiry, which will give Congress the ability to obtain bank records and other documents.

“McCarthy and the House Republican leadership scheduled a closed-door session for Thursday morning so that members could get an update on the investigations led by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and House Oversight Committee Chair Jamie Comer (R-Ky.),” reports Punchbowl News. “McCarthy plans to say that the two chairs have uncovered enough information that necessitates the House formalizing the impeachment inquiry in order to obtain the Bidens’ bank records and other documents.”

Last week, Comer announced that he believes the House GOP has the votes to open up an impeachment inquiry into Biden. However, at least two Republican congressmen have expressed reluctance to launch such an inquiry, Reps Don Bacon (R-Neb.) and Ken Buck (R-Colo.). Buck appeared on MSNBC this week and even defended Biden.

“The time for impeachment is the time when there’s evidence linking President Biden — if there’s evidence linking President Biden to a high crime or misdemeanor,” Buck told Biden’s former press secretary, Jen Psaki. “That doesn’t exist right now.”

This is, of course, not true. We know that Joe Biden participated in roughly 20 business calls with Hunter’s partners and met with them at the White House while he was vice president. There are also financial reports showing that millions of dollars have been laundered through shell companies and distributed to the Biden family, and an FBI informant who says Burisma bribed Joe and Hunter with $5 million each. Joe Biden literally bragged about using a $1 billion loan as leverage to get the prosecutor investigating Burisma fired, even though the Obama administration had long cleared the loan. There’s even leaked audio of a phone call proving it. And Devon Archer actually testified that Joe Biden was critical to selling the “the Biden brand.”

Democrats impeached Donald Trump twice without evidence as damning as all of that. I’m not sure how Rep. Buck came to his conclusion, but he is a moderate Republican who has also defended the mistreatment of J6 prisoners who were incarcerated for extended periods without due process, so he’s not exactly the best person to make such an assessment.

#9  An impeachment either goes forward or it doesn’t. If it arrives in the Senate, it has to be adjudicated and voted on. Everybody goes on the record before the election in the House and Senate.
Biden will not likely be removed, but lawmakers will likely be primaried and defeated based on what their actions in this process. Joe has a lousy approval rating and the Dems have no intention of him making it beyond the convention. This action forces everybody’s hand. I think Joe will end up resigning or being removed earlier than the Dems intend. Having President Harris head into the convention is not what they want.

#13  Man Up Republicans, the inquiry will fore the blue moron class to become aware of just how, sleazy, corrupt and vile Jojo has been. If it is well presented, and I think Comer can do just that, the 20+ Dem Senators up for re-election might not want to risk the stink. Most importantly, its the right thing to do. The six billion to Iran and over 100 billion to Ukraine, 7.5 million new illegals are proof this administration is destroying the country.

Mass. mayor calls to change state's 'right-to-shelter' law amid migrant crisis: 'Don't have endless capacity'
[FoxNews] Woburn, Massachusetts Mayor Scott Galvin said the 'situation was not sustainable' under the state's current 'right-to-shelter' law.
The poor darlings.
Massachusetts towns are facing a "reality check" straining to provide for crowds of migrants seeking shelter in the state, according to the New York Times.

A report from the Times Sunday detailed how the small town of Woburn, Massachusetts, and other areas in the state have been struggling to meet the demand of the migrant crisis amid the state's "right-to-shelter law."

The article characterized the locals’ plight, stating, "Barely two weeks had passed since the migrant crisis arrived in their city of 40,000 people, 10 miles northwest of Boston, but the volunteers gathered at a church in Woburn on a recent evening sounded battle weary."

It continued: "The small group of locals… had stepped up to help some 80 migrant families whom the state placed in Woburn hotels last month. Determined to offer a warm welcome, the volunteers had quickly discovered the daunting complexity of meeting basic needs, a reality check also underway elsewhere in the state and nation."

New Mexico sheriff says he won't enforce 'unconstitutional' gun ban: 'Protecting the Second Amendment'
[FoxNews] Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen calls New Mexico Gov Michelle Lujan Grisham's 30-day public health order banning the issue of firearm permits 'unconstitutional’

Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is facing widespread pushback from state law enforcement officials following her attempt to ban concealed and open carry permits.

Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen described Grisham's 30-day "public health order" as "unconstitutional" during a press conference this week despite standing beside the governor during her rollout of the policy.

"It’s unconstitutional, so there’s no way we can enforce that order," the sheriff said in a Monday news conference. "This ban does nothing to curb gun violence."

Grisham issued an emergency order on Friday suspending the right to carry guns in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days following recent instances of gun violence.

The governor said she expects the order to face legal challenges, but she believes she needed to act in response to recent gun-related deaths, such as an 11-year-old boy who was shot and killed outside a minor league baseball stadium earlier this week.

The suspension was classified as an emergency public health order and applies to open and concealed carry in most public places, excluding police and licensed security guards. The restriction is connected to a threshold for violent crime rates met only by the Albuquerque area.

Allen claims he pressured against the public health order, saying "[Grisham] knew we as law enforcement did not agree with the order, and as a result, this was solely her decision."

Violators could face civil penalties and a fine of up to $5,000, according to the governor's spokeswoman Caroline Sweeney. The governor said state police are responsible for enforcing the order, but she acknowledged not all law enforcement officials – including the district attorney for the Albuquerque area – agree with it.

Government Corruption
The 'Why Not?' grand jury: The Georgia final report should worry us all
[THEHILL] With the release of the special grand jury final report in Georgia, the nation finally was able to see what foreperson Emily Kohrs last February was giggling about in interviews.

Call it the "Why not?" report.

Back then, when Kohrs was asked if there were recommended charges, she chuckled and said, "Can you imagine doing this for eight months and not coming out with a whole list of recommended indictments? It’s not a short list. It’s not.'"

In addition to nodding at an expected Trump indictment, she added, "There may be some names on that list that you wouldn’t expect." After all, why not?

The final product did not disappoint. The members recommended 39 people for prosecution, including Sen. Lindsey Graham
...soft-spoken senator from South Carolina, former best buddy of John Maverick McCain. Since McCain's demise, Graham has become more outspoken, more Republican and more of a supporter of President Trump. The speech he gave in support of Brett Kavanaugh was downright manly and really cheesed off the Dems...
(R-S.C.) and former Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.). They also included lawyers who argued for recounts or investigations into alleged election fraud.

While the report expressly claims that the Fulton County District Attorney’s office did not create the list, it was the office of Fani Willis that presented the law, the evidence and potential targets to the special grand jury. During that process, these members concluded that politicians voicing support for the former president and his allegations could be criminally charged for doing so.

The news that Willis did not indict Graham and others infuriated many on the left. Liberal websites were inundated with comments like "I want all the enablers charged, tried, and given long sentences as traitors to our country" and asking why the list did not include Senators Grassley, Cruz, Lee and "147 current and former members of the House, just to name a few."

The disappointment of the special grand jury members and commentators is understandable. When one reads the indictment of the 19 defendants, it is surprising that all of the other 20 were dropped. While the indictment does contain serious charges against some individuals, Willis used a sweeping racketeering theory to indict in gross.

One possible reason Willis dropped some of these targets is that she knew the indictment of these senators would have been quickly and firmly rejected by the courts as the criminalization of political speech.

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
the 160 individual acts detailed in Willis’s report include speeches and social media postings by Trump and others claiming evidence of widespread voting fraud.
