Turley: Judge "Hand-Picked" to Oversee Trump Persecution Illegally Donated to Biden and the Democrats
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said Monday that the judge in the Trump business records trial violated ethics rules with his donation to President Joe Biden's 2020 election campaign, and questioned why he was presiding over the case at all.
Merchan made a $15 donation to Biden's election campaign in 2020, a $10 donation to a group called "Stop Republicans" and a $10 donation to a "Progressive Turnout Project," according to data from the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Turley said that the small size of the donation was irrelevant.

"It is very clear, they say you can't make political contributions and he did," Turley said on "Fox and Friends" after co-host Ainsley Earhardt mentioned the donations. "And the fact it is 'de minimus' or small, really, I think, misses the point. You make donations to show your support, that is what that $15 did."

"What's also concerning for many is that Merchan was not randomly selected, he was hand-picked as the judge for this case, and many of us don't understand it," Turley continued. "You have a judge who is donor to the president, whose daughter is a major Democratic operative, you would think this would be an easy call, there are plenty of other judges."

...

"He's not going to be held accountable to the bar association, but this is one of the many aspects of this trial that are troubling to those who view this as the weaponization of the system," Turley said.

IDF discovers weapons in UNRWA facility, kills Hamas terrorists
[JPost] The IAF stuck approximately 80 terror targets over the past day throughout the Gaza Strip, including weapons storage facilities, rocket launchers, terrorist cells, and other terror targets.

IDF troops have located additional weaponry in an UNRWA facility in Jabalya, the Israeli military announced Monday afternoon.

Additionally, an Israel Air Force aircraft struck and eliminated the terrorist Zaher Huli (also known as "Abu Hamed"), who held roles in Hamas's military wing and the Hamas Police in central Gaza, the IDF and the Shin Bet announced.

Zaher reportedly used his position to build connections with other Hamas terrorists and promote terror attacks on Israel.

During an additional operation on Sunday, the terrorist Rami Khalil Faki, who held roles in Hamas' military wing and Hamas Police in the area of Nuseirat, was also targeted in an aerial strike.

Rami Khalil Faki commanded armed terrorists who carried out attacks against IDF troops. His deputy and four additional Hamas terrorist operatives were eliminated together with him.
Islamic Jihad commander eliminated

A Palestinian Islamic Jihad tactical-level commander was also eliminated in an aerial strike in the eastern Rafah area with three other terrorists from the organization who engaged in close combat with IDF soldiers, the IDF later announced.

In Rafah, the Maglan Unit drone team located tunnel shafts and terrorists in the area. During an operation, a terrorist exiting an underground tunnel shaft was targeted and killed by an IAF aircraft, the military added.

ICC chief prosecutor seeks arrests for Netanyahu, Gallant and Hamas chiefs
[JPost] "Today.. we’ve applied for warrants to the pre-trial chamber of the ICC in relation to three individuals that are Hamas members," Khan said.

The International Criminal Court Chief is seeking arrest warrants for Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, and Mohammed Deif, its Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan told CNN's Christiane Amanpour in an exclusive interview on Monday.

"Today.. we’ve applied for warrants to the pre-trial chamber of the ICC in relation to three individuals that are Hamas members," Khan said.

"Sinwar who’s in charge on the ground... Deif, who’s in charge of the Al Qassam Brigade and Haniyeh who is [in charge of their] political bureau based in Doha," Khan said.

His words ended the speculation about whether the ICC would issue such warrants, a step that its pre-trail chamber must still approve.

The charges against the Hamas leaders are "extermination, murder, taking of hostages, rape and sexual assault in detention," he said, adding that these are "the key crimes that are alleged to have been committed by these three individuals."

The world was shocked by Hamas’s October 7 attack against Israel, he said, as he referred to the event in which over 1,200 people were killed, and another 252 were seized as hostages, of which 128 remain in captivity.

"People were ripped from their bedrooms, from their homes, from the different Kibbutzim in Israel.

"People have suffered enormously, and we have a variety of evidence to support the applications that we've submitted to the judges," Khan stated.

The Chief Prosecutor also laid out the charges in the arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for their role in the Gaza war. Hamas has claimed that over 35,000 Palestinians have been killed in that conflict, varying close to 25,000 of those deaths. Israel has said that 15,000 of those fatalities are combatants.

Khan said that the charges against the Israeli Prime Minister are "extermination, causing starvation as a method of war including the denial of humanitarian relief supplies [and] deliberately targeting civilians in conflict."His applications for warrants come as the International Court of Justice is adjudicating South Africa’s accusations that Israel was in violation of the 1948 genocide convention.

"Practically, it does not mean much - though Bibi and Gallant will have to think twice before travelling to some European countries. Diplomatically, it is an attempt to create moral equivalence between Hamas and Israel."

New Election Lawsuit: Plaintiffs RNC & Donald J. Trump
[News With Views] "One of the most cowardly things ordinary people do is to shut their eyes to facts." —C. S. Lewis

There is great hope President-Elect Donald Trump, who was absolutely cheated for a second term, will win this November. Never mind all the conspiracy theories peddled by the prostitute media and mindless hens on garbage TV shows like The View that career criminal, Joe Biden, won in 2020.

That quote pretty much sums up the blabbermouth "experts" on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS and bird cage liner newspapers like the NY Times "all the news that’s fake to print". It’s really all about blind loyalty to a political party and their agenda, not to pedo sniffer Joe Biden. It’s about the immoral and unconstitutional rules and regulations that have been rammed down our throats by unconstitutional cabinets and agencies. All unelected by We the People.

Get Ready for More Rigged Presidential Debates
[Townhall] Since 1976, every four years, the presidential nominees of the Republican and Democratic parties have met for televised debates. Usually, these debates are highly anticipated and attract impressive ratings. The largest viewing audience for a presidential debate was the first 2016 encounter between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. It drew an incredible eighty-four million viewers.

Of course, the problem with most of these debates is that liberal "journalists" masqueraded as impartial moderators. Thus, previous presidential debate moderators have included Lester Holt of NBC News, Gwen Ifill of PBS, Martha Raddatz of ABC News, Anderson Cooper of CNN, and Kristen Welker of NBC News. None of these moderators can be considered fair, objective, or impartial.

Every debate is the same scenario, featuring the GOP presidential candidate battling both his opponent and the moderator. For example, in 2012, moderator Candy Crowley of CNN, shockingly interjected on behalf of President Barack Obama to refute an accurate point that Republican nominee Mitt Romney was making about the Benghazi terrorists. The incident skewed the debate toward Obama.

Four years later, in the Democratic presidential primary debates between Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders, Donna Brazile, a CNN political analyst, improperly intervened by giving advance notice to Hillary Clinton’s campaign about some of the questions that would be asked. After the revelations, Brazile was fired by CNN and expressed regret, but the episode shows how the presidential debates are rigged.

Unfortunately, this year’s two presidential debates will follow the same pattern. The Republican Party’s nominee, President Donald Trump, will be debating both President Joe Biden and the moderators.

Clinton Hart Merriam: Collector of creation
[BLAZE] The father of mammalogy never tired of exploring nature's infinite variety.

God is not a minimalist. Our planet contains over 2 million species of life. On its own, this fact is staggering enough, but rarely do we contemplate its even more staggering implication: Somebody had to go out and find a sample of each and every one.

Known as the "father of mammalogy," zoologist Clinton Hart Merriam took to nature at a young age, collecting specimens of birds with a rifle and preserving them with taxidermy picked up from the retired army surgeon next door.

His impressive collection earned him a spot on the 1872 Hayden Survey of the Rocky Mountain West at age 16. Studies in natural history, anatomy, and medicine followed. After a few successful years as a practicing physician, Merriam returned to science, serving as a surgeon on the Arctic exploration vessel the SS Proteus while collecting marine mammals. The relatively new field of mammalogy soon became his primary interest. By the time he was 30 he had more than 7,000 specimens, more than most public collections.

Even as his collection grew to encompass more exotic animals, Merriam never lost the sense of wonder instilled by his earliest encounters with creation. Looking through the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology's collection of Merriam's papers, archivist Greg Borman was surprised to discover an ode to the humble squirrel:

Judge Rules That Noncitizens Can't Be Discriminated Against in Voting Matters
[Hot Air] Is preventing noncitizens from engaging in voter registration drives discrimination that violates the 14th Amendment?

A federal judge in Florida thinks so and has ruled against a Florida law that bars aliens from engaging in voter registration drives.

Now I don't know about you, but I thought that discriminating against noncitizens when it comes to voting was pretty normal, and, in fact, completely in line with federal election law.

Now let's be clear: the judge is not saying that noncitizens can register and vote, but rather that they have a right to engage in voter registration drives, which surely wouldn't ever, not once, register a noncitizen to vote. That would be illegal, and if there is one thing we know, people never commit crimes.

Teenage Rapper 'Rylo Huncho' Shoots Himself in the Head While Recording TikTok Video Playing with a Gun (VIDEO)
[Gateway] The teenager uses the name "Rylo Huncho."

According to a report from Hip Hob Vibe, "Rylo Huncho’s real name has not been disclosed. However, he was known for his energetic performances and promising music career...he was filming content for his TikTok account when the gun discharged. So, this resulted in a fatal injury."

It remains unclear if the shooting was intentional or an accident.
Was he trans?
The report adds:

Family members have since set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses and support the grieving family during this challenging time. The page has seen an outpouring of support from fans and the community, reflecting the impact Rylo had on those around him.

The GoFundMe page was set up by a cousin of Rylo Huncho’s. In her description, she says that the cause of death was accidental/suicide. Also, she says the the family is still trying to figure out why. This is how the GoFundMe statement reads.
"accidental/suicide"......?
Rylo Huncho’s untimely death has sparked conversations about the responsibilities of social media platforms and the influence they have on young users. The community continues to rally around the family, sharing memories of Rylo’s passion for music and his bright future.

Over $2,000 has been raised on the GoFundMe fundraiser.

The description reads, "Hello , my aunt recently lost her 17 year old son from a self inflicted gun wound to the head . He was her only son ! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could. Suicide/accidental was the cause of his death we are still trying to figure out why . But anything I mean anything can help her at this time of need . He was her only child she was also an only child it was always her and her son . Anything can help ! Please keep my family in your prayers thank you so much."

The Gateway Pundit has not been able to independently verify the validity of the GoFundMe or any claims made about the teenager.

A report from Biz Pac Review noted, "The brief viral clip raised questions about the fate of the rapper and at least one social media account suggested, ’according to his family, he went to the hospital and died from injuries. his friend posted the video [because] people were saying the friend shot him. his family was also saying he was depressed but since he is gone, we will never know if it was a major accident or purposely done.'"

Government Corruption
A Global Censorship Prison Built by the Women of the CIA
[Absurdistan] The polite world was fascinated last month when long-time NPR editor Uri Berliner confessed to the Stalinist suicide pact the public broadcaster, like all public broadcasters, seems to be on. Formerly it was a place of differing views, he claimed, but now it has sold as truth some genuine falsehoods like, for instance, the Russia hoax, after which it covered up the Hunter Biden laptop. And let’s not forget our censor-like behaviour regarding Covid and the vaccine. NPR bleated that they were still diverse in political opinion, but researchers found that all 87 reporters at NPR were Democrats. Berliner was immediately put on leave and a few days later resigned, no doubt under pressure.

Even more interesting was the reveal of the genesis of NPR’s new CEO, Katherine Maher, a 41-year-old with a distinctly odd CV. Maher had put in stints at a CIA cutout, the National Democratic Institute, and trotted onto the World Bank, UNICEF, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Center for Technology and Democracy, the Digital Public Library of America, and finally the famous disinfo site Wikipedia. That same week, Tunisia accused her of working for the CIA during the so-called Arab Spring. And, of course, she is a WEF young global leader.

She was marched out for a talk at the Carnegie Endowment where she was prayerfully interviewed and spouted mediatized language so anodyne, so meaningless, yet so filled with nods to her base the AWFULS (affluent white female urban liberals) one was amazed that she was able to get away with it. There was no acknowledgement that the criticism by this award-winning reporter/editor/producer, who had spent his life at NPR had any merit whatsoever, and in fact that he was wrong on every count. That this was a flagrant lie didn’t even ruffle her artfully disarranged short blonde hair.

Christopher Rufo did an intensive investigation of her career in City Journal. It is an instructive read and illustrative of a lot of peculiar yet stellar careers of American women. Working for Big Daddy is apparently something these ghastly creatures value. I strongly suggest reading Rufo’s piece linked here. It’s a riot of spooky confluences.

Fifth Column
The Disgrace and Fall of the American Elite Campus
[Victor Davis Hanson] Anti-Israel/pro-Hamas campus protests have engulfed hundreds of college campuses. But the more coastal, blue-state, and supposedly elite the campus was, the more furious the violence that sometimes followed these demonstrations.

Even rowdier and more vicious street analogs shut down key bridges, freeways, and religious services. Protestors often defaced hallowed American monuments, national cemeteries, and iconic buildings. Visa-holders were among the worst perpetrators, adding ingratitude to their criminality.

The vast majority wore masks, not to protect from infection but to hide their identities. It is received wisdom, however, that those who wear masks do so for obvious reasons: so authorities cannot identify and punish those who commit crimes (e.g. the Klan, antifa, bank robbers, criminal gangs), or so that anonymity can help incite mob furor, given that participants feel that their vehemence increases once it cannot be traced.

More mundanely, why don’t the students simply identify themselves, insist they want their "resistance" to be known, and then hope their arrests will be proof of their courage to galvanize like-minded people to join them?

Why? One, because the students are sunshine and careerist revolutionaries. They see no inconsistency between shouting "Death to Israel," "Global Intifada," or "River to the Sea" one day and then the next, applying for a top spot at Goldman Sachs, a tony university, or a federal bureaucracy. Jacobin professors protest like it is 1793, but when politely arrested, they collapse into fetal positions and scream hysterically that consequences cannot follow their illegality, given they are privileged, superior intellects and moralists, with titles and degrees no less.

Two, the protestors, deep down, know they are aligning with the murderers and rapists of October 7 and that their chants are Hitlerian. And so few wish for their performance-art antics to become part of their public personas.

Demonstrators claimed they were peacefully acting on behalf of Palestine rather than virulently pro-Hamas, anti-Semitic, and anti-Israel. But their own bloodthirsty words proved the contrary—to the anguish of embarrassed campus administrators. The latter finally concluded that the overt venom was a bit too much and certainly injurious to their own administrative careers, campus fund-raising, and alumni support.

Note that there was a long hiatus between the slaughter and hostage-taking of October 7 and the entry of the Israeli Defense Forces into Gaza to destroy Hamas. Nonetheless, campuses caught fire immediately after the slaughter. A professor at Cornell characterized the Hamas mass murders as "exhilarating." Efforts immediately followed to harass and embarrass Jewish students, not to protest the IDF in Gaza.

...Why did the patently illegal occupation of campus property spread? Why the escalation to medieval anti-Semitic threats to Jews and various takes on the "Final Solution?"

One, throngs of poorly educated American students—many of them part of the diversity/equity/identity movement—saw Gaza as fuel for their Marxist-themed binary of oppressed versus oppressors. So they eagerly plugged Israel into the tired role of a white, interloping, neo-colonialist, and "settler" state—on the correct assumption that they had grown up with the assurance that smearing whites in racist fashion was not only tolerated but encouraged as a blow against white "privilege," "supremacy," or "rage."

...Two, the tip of the spear of campus unrest is from the Middle East. Such partisan foreign students and activists organize the rallies, often with planning and money provided by Palestinian front groups. They provide the keffiyeh props and the occasional Hezbollah and Hamas flags and logos.

Student guests in the U.S. are not shy about siding with the Hamas eliminationist agenda. Indeed, their protests were not just anticipated by, but integral to, Hamas’ October 7 strategies. Hamas’ murderous plan was always to retreat back to Gaza with hostages, which, along with their own Gazan civilians, would ensure the killers could murder another day. So they were to descend into a $1 billion, Morlock-like tunnel complex—using thousands of Gazan civilians above in hospitals, schools, and mosques as collateral deaths to protect the terrorists beneath. Note the sick asymmetry: the entire strategy hinges on a humane Israel seeking to avoid killing civilian shields, a fact accepted by Hamas, which tries its best to sacrifice them.

The resulting surety of collateral civilian damage could then be reduced to Israeli-induced "genocide." From there, useful idiotic American student unrest, along with Middle Eastern voters, would pressure American institutions and politicians to limit Israel’s options and responses. And, presto, Hamas would emerge from the rubble intact and ready to plan its next murder spree.

...A final note: clueless elite universities have scant idea of the enormous damage done to their reputations by the repulsive optics on their campuses—the eliminationist chants, the overt anti-Semitism, the passive-aggressive violence, the unapologetic solidarity with a venomous Hamas, the unconcern with American hostages, the disdain shown to middle-class cops, maintenance and janitorial workers tasked with cleaning up the elite students’ often pigsty-like encampments, vandalism, graffiti, and trash, and, above all, the sheer ignorance of supposedly brilliant students who appear to know nothing of even rudimentary history, geography, or current affairs.

These infantile campuses have a rendezvous with adult accountability, both public and governmental. And they won’t like what is soon coming.

To summarize: part of student body (the ones who end in bureaucracy & "education") - and all of the administration - are scum. Naturally, they ally with Hamas scum. At least as long as there are no adverse consequences.

A Former Ukrainian MP Blew The Whistle On Burisma's Connections To Terrorism
BLUF:
[Andrew Korybko's Newsletter] That’s already scandalous enough, but Derkach shared even more details about the other indirect consequences of this cover-up into the First Son’s illicit activities, adding that some GUR-linked figures have been connected to the Western narrative about September 2022’s Nord Stream terrorist attack. He regards that story as a distraction from the US’ complicity, the view of which was elaborated upon here at the time that it entered the discourse, but lauded the CIA for the lengths it went to cover up its role.

In his view, the CIA might very well have sent a highly trained Ukrainian diving team to the Baltic Sea exactly as the Western media reported, though only to plant fake bombs. In his words, "when a cover story is made, it is done quite well. We shouldn’t belittle the experience of the CIA or the experience of MI6 in preparing cover operations. They have quite a lot of experience in using proxies, in using cover stories to form a certain position in order to dodge responsibility. This is actually what happened."

13 arrested in major Tel Aviv municipality corruption bust, hundreds of millions stolen
[Ynet] Thirteen suspects, including employees of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality's sanitation department, were arrested Monday morning for alleged involvement in serious offenses, including public corruption, money laundering and fraudulent invoicing worth hundreds of millions of shekels.

Criminal gangs from both the Jewish and Arab communities are also implicated.

The investigation was led by the National Financial Investigations Unit in Israel Police’s Lahav 433 — a unit specializing in investigating organized crime, corruption and serious economic offenses, often dubbed "the Israeli FBI" — in collaboration with the Tax Authority.

According to a police statement, the suspects are believed to have engaged in significant public corruption, tax offenses, and money laundering within the cleaning industry.
The investigation became public on Monday with the arrests, and the suspects are currently being interrogated at Lahav 433 offices. Depending on the findings, they will be brought before the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court for a remand hearing.

Raad says Hezbollah escalating to 'preserve deterrence equation'
[An Nahar] The head of Hezbollah’s parliamentary bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, said Sunday that his group is "reassured" over the course of its conflict with Israel.

"The resistance is escalating its operations against the Israeli enemy to a certain level in order to preserve the deterrence equation," Raad said.

Hezbollah is doing this "so that the enemy does not fantasize that it has become capable and prepared to pounce on Leb

The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? "Accordingly, we will emerge victorious when we thwart the enemy’s goals," Raad went on to say.
"Endeavor to persevere!"
Since October 8, the cross-border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has killed at least 419 people in Lebanon, mostly Death Eaters but also including 82 civilians.

Israel says 14 soldiers and 11 civilians have been killed on its side of the border.

Gaza officials say death toll from Israeli strike on Nuseirat rises to 31

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

"The civil defence crew were able to recover 31 deaders and 20 maimed from a house belonging to the Hassan family, which was targeted by the Israeli occupation forces in the Nuseirat camp," Gaza civil defence agency front man Mahmud Bassal told journalists.

He said rescue workers were continuing to search for missing people under the rubble.

At least three U.S. citizens - accused of being CIA agents - are arrested in Congo after failed coup: Three people killed in shootout at presidential palace and home of close ally
[MAIL] Three Americans have been arrested over their alleged involvement in a failed coup in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Video shows what is thought to be two of the men groveling for mercy on the ground as they were surrounded by government forces following a shootout in the capital Kinshasa on Sunday.

Reports in local media suggested the arrested men were CIA operatives although the US ambassador in the city was keen to distance the US from any involvement.
A bit late for that it would appear.
The DR Congo military named the coup leader as Christian Malanga, 41, a US educated former refugee who was a 'naturalized American' and had been 'definitively neutralized' by the security forces.

His son Marcel was among those accused of taking part and seized by the military as they retook control.

Footage on social media showed a passport allegedly seized from one of the Americans bearing the name Benjamin Zalman-Polun, a 36-year-old born in Maryland.

Zalman-Polun reportedly has a background as a cannabis entrepreneur and had been previously linked to Malanga.
A dope dealer. How novel.
The military said it thwarted the 'attempted coup' involving 'foreigners and Congolese' near the offices of President Felix Tshisekedi in Kinshasa.

'I am shocked by the events this morning and very worried by the reports of American citizens allegedly being involved,' Lucy Tamlyn, the US ambassador to the DRC, posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Shocked! Shocked!
'Rest assured that we are cooperating with authorities in DRC to the fullest extent possible, as they investigate these criminal acts and hold accountable any American citizen involved.'

More below, but I'd reckon Ben Zalman-Polun's (or whoever he is) kak is a bit weak at the moment.

A coup was foiled in the Democratic Republic of Congo
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The army of the Democratic Republic of the Congo prevented an attempt to carry out a coup in Kinshasa. This was stated by the official representative of the country's Armed Forces, Brigadier General Sylvain Ekenge.

“The defense and security forces stopped the coup attempt. Foreigners and Congolese took part in the assassination attempt,” the France24 TV channel quoted an army representative as saying.

He added that the military had arrested all participants in the conspiracy, including the leaders. Ekenge did not disclose their names.

“The army assures that the situation is under control and asks the residents of Kinshasa to calmly go about their business,” the army spokesman said.

As Regnum reported, on the evening of September 17, 2023, local media reported that the Congolese army began seizing key facilities in the country's capital, Brazzaville. According to some reports, the head of the presidential guard, Serge Oboa, led the coup. Journalists recalled that the head of state, Denis Sassou Nguesso, was at that time in New York, where he took part in UN events.

Later, the Minister of Communications and Media, spokesman for the government of the Republic of Congo, Thierry Lezen Mungala, denied rumors of a coup d'état, calling this information fake. He assured that calm reigns on the territory of the republic and called on the population to calmly go about their business.

On the night of July 26 last year, a coup d'état took place in Niger. A group of military men came to power in the country and removed the President of the Republic, Mohamed Bazoum, from government. The new authorities broke a number of economic and political agreements with France, in particular, they annulled the agreement on the military presence of French troops in the country.

On the night of May 15, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held an emergency meeting with the heads of intelligence and the Ministry of Justice after warning of the threat of a coup being prepared in the ranks of law enforcement agencies. The Turkish leader was warned by his ally, the head of the nationalist party Devlet Bahçeli, about the possibility of attempting to repeat the 2016 coup. The head of state said that the country's authorities are well aware of the “puppeteers” and those who were preparing the conspiracy in the country.

Rebel leader Mahlangu, who was preparing a coup in the Democratic Republic of Congo, was eliminated
The leader of the rebels who staged a coup attempt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on May 19 was eliminated. This was reported by the Actu30 portal.

According to the publication, Christian Mahlangu was shot dead by the military. The remaining members of the rebel group were immediately arrested. They wore the flag of Zaire (the country's former name) on their uniforms, spoke English, French and Lingala, and claimed to be "members of the diaspora." Now the situation in the country is under control, a source from the armed forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo noted.

As Regnum reported, on the morning of May 19, the army of the Democratic Republic of the Congo prevented an attempt to carry out a coup in Kinshasa. Local publications reported shots fired near the residence of the candidate for the post of Chairman of the National Assembly, Vital Kamerhe.

On September 17, 2023, information appeared in local media that the Congolese army began seizing key facilities in the capital of the country, Brazzaville. According to some reports, the head of the presidential guard, Serge Oboah, led the coup. Later, the Minister of Communications and Media, spokesman for the government of the Republic of Congo, Thierry Lezen Mungala, denied rumors of a coup. According to him, calm reigned on the territory of the republic.

The Russian Embassy called the situation in the DR Congo stable after the coup attempt
The situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo remains stable after the coup attempt, but Russians are advised to take precautions, the Russian Embassy in the African republic reported on May 19.

“Russian citizens are advised not to visit the central areas of the capital, where investigative actions by law enforcement agencies are being carried out,” Gazeta.ru quoted a message from the diplomatic mission.

Diplomats also noted that in the capital Kinshasa, security forces have strengthened control at key points.

As Regnum reported, on May 19, the official representative of the Armed Forces of the DR Congo, Brigadier General Sylvain Ekenge, announced that the army had prevented a coup in the country. According to him, among the detained rebels there were local residents as well as foreigners. He stressed that the military had detained all participants in the conspiracy, and called on the population not to worry and to continue going about their business.

The media later reported the liquidation of the rebel leader in the Democratic Republic of Congo, who were preparing a coup, Christian Mahlangu, and the arrest of his associates. It is noted that the detainees had the flag of Zaire, as the republic was previously called, they spoke English, French and Lingala and called themselves representatives of the diaspora.

Marcel Malanga, 21, accompanied his former refugee father Christian to the central African country from their home in Utah to lead the coup against the autocratic government of President Felix Tshisekedi.

But the father was shot dead and the son was arrested alongside two American co-conspirators during the bungled putsch as the US government scrambled to distance itself from involvement.

Also seized was Benjamin Zalman-Polun, a 36-year-old former cannabis dealer from Maryland whose passport was gleefully displayed by the victorious troops.

And the Congolese authorities said another American along with a Brit were being questioned in custody.

'An attempted coup d'etat has been stopped by the defense and security forces,' said General Sylvain Ekenge in a message broadcast on national television.

'Around 50, including three American citizens - were arrested and are currently undergoing interrogation by the specialized services of the Armed Forces,' Ekenge told Reuters.

Local media were quick to suggest a CIA plot to seize control of the mineral rich nation of 100 million people.

Full horror of Oklahoma teen Noah Presgrove's injuries explained - as autopsy results give chilling insight into his final moments
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Noah Presgrove, 19, was found dead on a desolate highway on September 4

  • Hours earlier he was at a four-day party with friends at a house a mile away

  • Doctor believes autopsy report showed he was likely beaten to death by group

Noah Presgrove suffered dozens of horrific injuries from broken bones to smashed teeth, brain damage, and bleeding inside his skull and chest before he died naked by a lonely highway.

The teenager, 19, was wearing only two mismatched shoes when his body was discovered on a desolate stretch of US-81 near Terral, Oklahoma, on September 4.

He was last seen alive about a mile away at a four-day 22nd birthday party with friends over the Labor Day weekend that was heavily documented on social media.

Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner Leonardo Roquero ruled Presgrove died of 'multiple blunt force injuries', but how he got them was 'undetermined'.

His autopsy report released on Monday detailed extensive injuries to the teen's upper body, including 10 broken ribs, serious skull, neck, and spine fractures, internal bleeding, brain and organ damage, and cuts and grazes all over his body.

The National Council informed that the Pentagon and the Niger Ministry of National Defense have been negotiating since May 15 and today reached an agreement.
In only four days? Impressive.
“It has been decided that this disengagement will be completed by September 15, 2024 at the latest,” the CNSP quoted the two countries as saying.

The authorities of the republic gave the Americans permission to fly and land military aircraft. The withdrawal of the American military contingent has already begun.

As Regnum reported, on May 8, in the Senate, American Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced plans to withdraw troops from Niger. He did not give a time frame. Two days later, Politico reported that the Pentagon had ordered all troops to leave Niger in the coming months. We are talking about a thousand military personnel.

The Niger authorities in mid-March deprived the American military of the opportunity to be on its territory, breaking the military agreement with the United States. According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, Mohamed Tumba, Niger is interested in the country’s troops being trained by the Russian, and not the American, military.

A month and a half later, on May 3, Reuters reported that the Russian military entered the air base in Niamey, which is why the American contingent based in the republic declared increased combat readiness.

Somali National Army Neutralizes Al-Shabaab Militant in Lower Shabelle Operation
[SHABELLEMEDIA] In a successful operation conducted in the Golweyn area of the Lower Shabelle region, the Somali National Army (SNA) has eliminated a key member of the al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all of which have enough problems without them...
terrorist group, Abdikadir Haji Eenow.

This significant achievement was made possible with the help of local intelligence, as residents near Golweyn town provided crucial information about the krazed killer’s whereabouts.

Farah Mohamud Hirsi, the Commander of the battalion responsible for the operation, shared the news with Shabelle radio, highlighting the importance of community cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

The operation not only demonstrates the SNA’s commitment to eradicating the threat posed by al-Shabaab but also showcases the effectiveness of local intelligence in achieving such victories.

The elimination of Abdikadir Haji Eenow is expected to weaken the al-Shabaab network in the region, as he was known to be a significant figure within the terrorist organization.

This development comes as a relief to the local population, who have long suffered from the violence and instability caused by al-Shabaab’s activities.

The SNA’s success in this operation serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in Somalia.

The collaboration between the military and the local community is a crucial step towards achieving this goal, as it not only helps in identifying and neutralizing threats but also fosters trust and cooperation between the two parties.

As the fight against al-Shabaab continues, the Somali National Army remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting the Somali people and ensuring a safer future for the nation.

Mosby Begs Joe Biden to Pardon Her
[TOWNHALL] Former Baltimore prosecutor and convicted fraudster Marilyn Mosby is begging President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Gave an airbase and billions in military hardware to the Taliban
to pardon her as she awaits her sentence.

According to a letter sent to Biden by the Congressional Black Caucus on Thursday, Mosby claims that her conviction was politically motivated, prompting her to plead with Biden to save her from serving a potential 20 months in federal prison.

"As a nation that leads by example, our justice system must not be weaponized to prevent progress toward a more perfect union," Rep. Steven Horsford (D-NV) wrote in the letter. "We share your desire for racial equity, Mr. President and this Trump-era prosecution is in direct conflict with a justice system that serves us all."

Mosby’s conviction includes one count of mortgage fraud and two counts of perjury. She is seeking nothing more than probation for her actions.

In February, a federal jury found that Mosby made a false statement on a mortgage application for a home in Florida. Three months later, another jury convicted the Democrat on charges relating to the withdrawal of COVID-19 funds from the city’s Deferred Compensation Plan.

Pakistani politician goes on trial over alleged child sex offences in UK
[GEO.TV] A senior Pak politician and scion of a well-known political family from Mansehra
...a city and an eponymous district in eastern Khyber-Pakthunwa, nestled snug up against Pak Kashmir, with Kohistan and Diamir to the north and Abbottabad to the south...
, Abbottabad
, has gone on trial over two alleged child sex offences.

Details have emerged of how Muhammad Khurram Khan, aged 60, arrived in the UK earlier this year to attend his son’s law graduation ceremony but engaged allegedly with a child for sexual purposes — and got caught by the detectives.

The prosecution at the Kingston Crown Court told the judge that Khurram has been charged with two counts: "attempted sexual communications with a child" and "arranging or facilitating commission of a child sex offence".

Khurram, who is in the UK on a visitor’s visa and belongs to the Khan khel clan, appeared before the judge via video link at the Kingston Crown Court from his cell in Wandsworth Prison. He was arrested earlier this year and has not been bailed yet.

At the hearing, he was represented by his lawyer Charlene Sumnall. Khan has denied the charges of minor sex offenses and people close to have him have said he has been framed and targeted. One of his close friends told Geo News that Khan is an innocent man and denies the charges by the UK’s prosecution.

Khurram thought he was talking to a girl, aged under 17, and the "girl" pretended as such but in reality there was a police detective on the other end of the social media application. The contact, its understood, started on social media.

The 2003 Sexual Offences Act provides that the age of consent across the whole of the UK is 16 — this is the minimum age when young people of any sex, gender, or sexual orientation can legally take part in sexual activity.

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum.] The Basmanny Court of Moscow received an appeal against the decision to extend the term of arrest for terrorist accomplices involved in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. This is stated in the case file posted on the official portal of the capital’s courts of general jurisdiction.

An appeal was received to extend the terms of arrest of Lutfulloi Nazrimada (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists), Kurbonov Dzhumakhon Begidzhonovich (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists), Yusufzoda Yakubjon Davlatkhon (an individual included in the Russian Federation on the list of terrorists and extremists), Sharipzoda Muhamad Zaire (an individual included in the Russian Federation on the list of terrorists and extremists). On May 16, the Basmanny Court of Moscow extended their period of detention until August 22, 2024.

On the same day, the court extended for three months the arrests of the direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack - Muhammadsobir Fayzov (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists), Dalerjon Mirzoev (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists), Rachabalizoda Murodali (an individual a person included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists), as well as Fariduni Shamsidina (an individual included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists).

Also, by decision of the authority, Isroil Islomov (an individual included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation), Dilovar Islomov (an individual included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation), Aminchon Islomov (an individual included in the Russian Federation ) will remain in the pre-trial detention center on the list of terrorists and extremists) and Alisher Kasimov (an individual included in the Russian Federation on the list of terrorists and extremists), who, according to the investigation, knew about the intentions of the terrorists and assisted them in preparing a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall.

As Regnum reported, armed terrorists carried out a terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow on the evening of March 22, breaking into the concert hall and opening fire on visitors. The terrorist attack killed 145 people, including six children. 550 people were injured. The direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack were taken into custody on March 25.

President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia will reach all the beneficiaries and customers of the terrorist attack at Crocus. As FSB director Alexander Bortnikov pointed out, the testimony of those involved in the terrorist attack case confirms the Ukrainian trace. Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said on April 16 that investigators confirmed and procedurally established the connection between the perpetrators of the terrorist attack and Ukraine.

According to the head of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin, citizens of a number of countries participated in organizing the terrorist attack, and financing passed through numerous organizations using, among other things, cryptocurrency.

Raeisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian titzup in helicopter crash

Follow up to this story from yesterday.

Hard landing of a helicopter with the President of Iran: who might benefit from it?

by Gevorg Mirzayan

[REGNUM] On Sunday, May 19, a helicopter carrying three Iranian political leaders, including President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, made a hard landing in the north of the country, near the border with Azerbaijan.

The incident occurred in a mountainous, inaccessible area. This prevented rescuers from quickly reaching the landing site. In addition, the search is complicated by severe weather conditions and poor visibility - about 5-6 meters. According to a preliminary version, the emergency could have occurred due to fog.

Around 22:30 Moscow time, it became known that experts had established the exact location of the helicopter based on a signal received from the phone of one of the crew members. It is noted that the military immediately headed to the indicated place.

So far there is no exact information about the condition of Raisi and other passengers. However, two questions have already arisen: what was it and what will be the consequences for Iran if the politicians fail to save themselves?

Most experts are inclined to believe that this is an assassination attempt. Moreover, it was carefully planned - it was no coincidence that a number of the country's top leaders ended up in the same helicopter, and it was he, and not the two flying side by side, who made a hard landing.

Also, some observers were quick to link what happened to Raisi with four other recent incidents.

The first is an attempt on the life of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico - he was shot at, the prime minister is in serious condition. The second is the threats received against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. The third is a coup attempt uncovered in Turkey - according to authorities, a number of high-ranking security officials tried to once again overthrow President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The fourth is an assassination attempt on the Crown Prince (and de facto ruler) of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman. The Kingdom's authorities do not provide any information about the incident, but it is known that terrorists attacked the Crown Prince's motorcade.

The theory of five assassination attempts, of course, has a right to exist - something in common can indeed be found in the incidents. All five leaders have a positive attitude towards Russia and support it - naturally, to the best of their ability. Some help Moscow bypass sanctions, some block anti-Russian initiatives within the European Union, and some actively cooperate with the Russian Ministry of Defense in the field of combat botany and other means of defeating the Ukrainian army.

However, such an associative series still looks like an exaggeration. First of all, because the stories with Fico and Vucic are fundamentally different from what happened with Erdogan, Mohammed bin Salman and Raisi.

An attempt was made on the life of the Slovak Prime Minister, to put it mildly, by an unbalanced person. President Vučić only received threats, which every more or less serious head of state receives in the dozens every day.

But in the other three stories, the real organization of assassination attempts and complex logistics are visible. After all, even an attack on the Saudi crown prince’s motorcade, hidden in a veil of secrecy, cannot be carried out alone, not to mention the formation of a conspiracy among the Turkish security forces or the story of the presidential helicopter in Iran.

And if we pay attention to these three cases, then they are united not only by Russia, but also by the region. Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Iran are the three engineers of the Middle East. They shape the local construction of international relations and the security system. And, given the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement, as well as the radicalization of Turkish foreign policy, their regional design acquired anti-Israeli and anti-American features. And therefore it had to be prevented by any possible means - and Israel is called the main interest in the matter of prevention.

The New York Times writes that recently the United States and Iran reached certain agreements on de-escalating the situation in the Middle East. But Israel, and Prime Minister Netanyahu personally, do not need de-escalation - Tel Aviv does not lose hope of starting the war it needs against Iran with the hands of the Americans.
Not Tel Aviv — Jerusalem. Upon independence in 1948, Israel named West Jerusalem its capitol, annexing East Jerusalem to it following the Six Day War in 1967.
As for the consequences of the possible death of Iran's leaders, opinions differ. Some experts believe that nothing critical will happen for Iran: the vertical of power in the country is working, and the real leader of the country is the Supreme Ayatollah - otherwise known as Rahbar - Ali Khamenei.

Rahbar has already stated that everything is under control.

“We hope that the Almighty will return the respected President Raisi and his companions to the arms of the people. Everyone should pray for their health. The people of Iran should not worry, everything will be fine in the country,” Ali Khamenei assures.

In reality, everything is not so clear. First of all, because Ibrahim Raisi and Hossein Abdollahian are not just cogs in the state machine. Both enjoy enormous authority in society and, most importantly, among the security forces. They have a crystal clear reputation, no trail of corruption. Finally, they have a sharp mind - Abdollahian is called a strong strategist.

In addition, do not forget about the third very important passenger of the helicopter. In addition to Raisi and Abdollahian, the representative of the rahbar in the East Azerbaijan region, Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, was flying. The man who is called the likely successor to 85-year-old Ali Khamenei - that is, the next de facto leader of the country.

Therefore, if someone really planned an assassination attempt, then these people literally intended to behead the Islamic Republic. Of course, if something critically bad happened to Ali Ale-Khash, another successor to Ali Khamenei will be found in the country. But the search process itself could provoke a serious conflict within the Iranian elites. And 85-year-old Ali Khamenei and 97-year-old Ahmad Janati, head of the Council of Experts who will choose the next rahbar, may not be able to pay it off.

Puntland Rejects Outcomes of NCC Meeting in Mogadishu
[SHABELLEMEDIA] In a significant development within Somalia’s complex political landscape, Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
State has openly rejected the outcomes of the National Consultative Council (NCC) meeting held in Mogadishu.

This move highlights the deepening divisions and disagreements among the federal member states of Somalia, particularly in relation to constitutional amendments and the ongoing political processes.

The National Consultative Council, a body comprised of federal and regional state leaders, recently concluded a four-day meeting in Mogadishu. The meeting aimed to address key national issues, including the controversial constitutional amendments, the fight against al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
, and the handover of security responsibilities after the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Mission to Somalia (ATMIS) departs.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
the most significant outcome of the summit was the endorsement by the Federal Member States (FMS) of the amendments made to the Constitution’s first four chapters in late March. The federal member states urged parliament to expedite the approval of the remaining chapters, building on past National Consultative Council (NCC) agreements.

Puntland State, however, did not participate in the meeting. The regional state has been at odds with the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) over constitutional changes, and its absence from the NCC meeting reflects the ongoing tensions between the two entities.

Puntland State leader, Said Abdullahi Deni, has voiced opposition to the communique made at the end of the NCC meeting, stating that the four-day meeting "lacked consensus" and did not serve the interests of the Somali nation.

Deni also highlighted the ongoing insecurity in many parts of Somalia and the "lack of taking into account the prevailing opinion of the general public against the contentious constitutional amendments."

This development comes amid reports that the National Consultative Council meetings failed to bridge the divisions within President Hassan Mohamud’s administration, particularly with Puntland boycotting the summit and withdrawing recognition from the FGS.

Panic, Kiev style. Ukraine and the West are sounding the alarm over the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Mikhail Zakharov

[REGNUM] The offensive of the Russian army in the Kharkov region continues. Units of the “North” group are advancing into the depths of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense.

During the week from May 11 to May 17, the Russian military liberated 12 settlements in the region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, the enemy tried to attack the positions of Russian forces in the areas of Volchansk, Liptsov and Tikhoy - all five counterattacks of the Russian Armed Forces were successfully repelled, the Ministry of Defense said on May 19.

Units of other groups of the Russian army also occupy more advantageous positions, which forces Kyiv to transfer reserves from other sectors of the front.

The successes of Russian troops are forced to be recognized even in the West. The day before, the commander of NATO's joint forces in Europe, Christopher Cavoli, noted that the Russian Armed Forces had proven their resilience and ability to advance, improving approaches to combat operations.

In turn, French corps general of aviation Bruno Clermont said that the successes of Russian forces advancing in the Kharkov region came as a surprise to everyone, since “there was not even a warning from American intelligence.”

At the same time, statements are increasingly heard in Ukraine that funds allocated for the construction of defensive structures in the border region were simply stolen.

“The Russians just walked in. They just entered, without any mined fields,” the BBC quotes the words of the commander of one of the Ukrainian units. - Either it was negligence or corruption. It wasn't a failure. It was a betrayal."

THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE ARE IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION, BUT KYIV CAN BRIGHTEN THINGS UP
The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, traditionally places the blame for failures in defense on other countries: he even went so far as to blame the whole world, which is supposedly obliged to help Kiev with equipment and ammunition. Ukraine, Zelensky said, could lose Kharkov if the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not receive two American Patriot air defense systems and 120-130 F-16 tactical fighters or other modern Western combat aircraft.

In the meantime, Zelensky is begging for new supplies, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, admitted that the Ukrainian army will face difficult battles due to the “unexpected” advance of the Russian army. Obviously, in Kyiv they hope that new people will be recruited to the front thanks to the law on tightening mobilization that came into force on May 18.

In the meantime, the deplorable state of affairs is recognized, including in the United States. On May 16, the State Department called the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces “incredibly desperate,” and the head of the NATO military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, added that the situation for the Ukrainian army is “very difficult.”

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are indeed in a difficult situation, but we should not forget that Kiev knows how to exaggerate the danger to itself in order to keep the world community in good shape, military expert Vasily Dandykin told IA Regnum.

It is quite possible that Ukrainian officials are making loud statements, focusing on the “peace conference” planned for June 15-16 in Switzerland, at which there will be no Russian representatives.

Dandykin recalls that the Kiev regime regularly complains about the lack of missiles and other ammunition, but this does not stop the Ukrainian Armed Forces from trying to launch massive attacks on Russian territory, including HARM and ATACMS missiles received from the West.

At the same time, the expert admits that Kyiv is panicking due to a potential increase in the front line - perhaps Russian troops will carry out tasks in the Sumy and Chernigov regions in order to expand the sanitary zone.

“Strikes can be carried out in the summer and in other directions. I don’t rule out that this will be a Kherson direction,” says Dandykin.

BILLIONS FOR UKRAINE AND FRENCH INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS AT THE FRONT
It is noteworthy that, against the backdrop of pessimistic statements about the state of affairs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on May 18, Zelensky rejected the idea of French President Emmanuel Macron about the “Olympic truce.”

However, this idea itself can hardly be considered seriously, military expert Vladimir Gundarov noted in a conversation with IA Regnum. According to him, any talk about a truce now makes no sense and is unlikely to happen until one of the parties feels that further continuation of hostilities will bring more serious consequences for it than any of the proposed truces.

Moreover, NATO countries continue to pump Kyiv with weapons and attract “military specialists.”

The German publication Bild, citing its own sources, reported that the country's Ministry of Defense has asked the government for an additional 3.8 billion euros to help Kyiv. The publication says that the request for additional funds will be submitted for parliamentary approval in June, while the Ministry of Finance supports the request.

An unnamed ministry official told Bild that "Germany must not fail in strengthening Ukraine's defenses." The publication also reported that in 2025, the Bundeswehr may request a record amount of 15 billion euros to help Ukraine.

In addition, it recently became known about the testing of a FRAN reconnaissance unit from the French army at NATO exercises in Estonia, which may soon go to Ukraine. It is reported that the tasks of the new and experimental unit include coordinating the work of assault groups, searching for enemy strongholds and places to enter trenches.

RUSSIA HAS SPOKEN, THE WEST HAS RETREATED
Vladimir Gundarov recalls that informally NATO military specialists are already present on the territory of Ukraine: Poles, Germans, British and Americans have stated this. According to the military expert, the real “red line” for the official entry of NATO troops can only be the crossing of the Dnieper by Russian troops and entry into the territory of right-bank Ukraine. At the same time, the West is unlikely to react radically to the events around Kharkov.

Moreover, Gundarov notes, Russia, for its part, has already made it clear that it will escalate the situation in the event of a possible deployment of Western troops, including with the use of nuclear weapons.

“Western countries have already taken a step back. No one insists on officially sending in troops,” says the expert.

In the near future, Vasily Dandykin predicts, the fighting will continue, depleting Ukraine.

“The collapse of the front can happen unexpectedly, as happened during the First World War. In my opinion, this may be due, first of all, to mass surrender,” says Dandykin. — So far this has not been observed, but I think a similar situation is not far off. Objectively, Russia’s capabilities are greater, even despite the help of the West to the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

Hamas says commander killed in Israel strike in Lebanon's Bekaa
[An Nahar] Paleostinian Death Eater group Hamas

near the Syrian border.

Hamas' armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, said in a statement that "commander" Sharhabil Sayed was killed "after he was targeted by Israeli occupation aircraft" in Lebanon's West Bekaa area.

A source close to the Paleostinian Death Eater group, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, had earlier told AFP that Sayed was a Hamas official responsible for Lebanon's Bekaa region and "was killed in an Israeli strike that targeted his vehicle."

Lebanon's civil defense agency reported "one martyr and two maimed due to an Israeli air strike" on a vehicle near Majdal Anjar, a town around five kilometers from the Syrian border and around 60 kilometers from Lebanon's border with Israel.

Lebanon's official National News Agency reported one dead and two maimed in an "enemy strike" that targeted a vehicle in the same area.

An AFP photographer saw a vehicle that had been destroyed in the raid.

The strike came after Israeli strikes earlier in the day killed a Hezbollah fighter and two children, according to the Lebanese Death Eater group and official media.

, its powerful Lebanese ally Hezbollah has exchanged near-daily fire with Israeli forces across the border.

The attacks have been intensifying, with Israeli forces increasingly striking deep into Lebanese territory, while Paleostinian factions and other allied groups in Lebanon have also claimed cross-border attacks.

Hezbollah earlier this week announced that its chief Sayyed His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

Supreme Court Puts Final Nail in Coffin of Effort to Block Trump From Ballot in Arizona
[THEEPOCHTIMES] The U.S. Supreme Court dealt a final blow to an effort to block former President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
from the presidential ballot in Arizona by refusing to hear an appeal from a man who’s waged a legal battle in dozens of states to get the former president disqualified over the Jan. 6 incident.

The high court has denied a petition for a writ of certiorari from John Castro, a registered Republican candidate for U.S. president in 2024, who fought in court to block President Trump from the ballot in Arizona, and elsewhere, according to an April 22 order list.

The Supreme Court’s denial of Mr. Castro’s request for review effectively upholds a lower court ruling from December 2023 that rejected Mr. Castro’s claim that President Trump should be barred from the ballot because he "gave aid and comfort to insurrectionists on January 6, 2021."

In his lawsuit, Mr. Castro filed a motion in September 2023 seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction that would have forced Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes to block President Trump from appearing on the state’s presidential ballot, based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Mr. Castro’s failed Arizona lawsuit was one of 27 cases that he brought against the former president on the same grounds.

In his 12-page opinion and order, U.S. District Judge Douglas Rayes ruled that Mr. Castro’s lawsuit "must be dismissed for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction because Castro lacks standing to bring his claim."

Mr. Castro appealed the decision to the Supreme Court, which on April 22 put the final nail in the coffin of his lawsuit by denying review.

While the high court did not provide a reason for rejecting Mr. Castro’s appeal, but it’s likely related to a March 4 decision by the Supreme Court that said President Trump can’t be removed from the ballot by individual states—only by Congress—while overturning a Colorado Supreme Court ruling that disqualified him under the 14th Amendment.

The Epoch Times has reached out to Mr. Castro, Mr. Fontes, and the Trump campaign for comment on the decision.

Mr. Fontes’ office declined comment.
