The claim, issued through the group’s AMAQ news agency, was made after Sri Lanka said two domestic Islamist groups with suspected links to foreign bandidosmurderous Moslems were suspected to have been behind the attacks at three churches and four hotels. About 500 people were also maimed in the bombings.
Three sources told Rooters that Sri Lankan intelligence officials had been warned hours earlier by India that attacks by Islamists were imminent. It was not clear what action, if any, was taken.
President Maithripala Sirisena said he would change the heads of the defense forces following their failure to act on the intelligence.
"I will completely restructure the police and security forces in the coming weeks. I expect to change the heads of defense establishments within the next 24 hours," Sirisena said in an address to the nation.
"The security officials who got the intelligence report from a foreign nation did not share it with me. I have decided to take stern action against these officials."

Note that they weren't named Tex and Bonnie Sue. A couple who enslaved a young woman for 16 years at their home in the US have been sentenced to seven years in jail. Seems like they should each have gotten at least sixteen years penal servitude.
Mohammed Touré and his wife Denise Cros-Touré, both 58, were found guilty in January of bringing the maiden of tender years from Guinea to Texas and forcing her to work for them without pay in early 2000. I'd call being forced to work without pay slavery.

As the Times pointed out last week, several of the most serious allegations, including that Trump had shared information with Russia over a period of eight years, were not found to have any support by Special Counsel Mueller. [Islamist Watch] Mere days after the United States Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO, an Islamist umbrella coalition), descended upon Capitol Hill for National Muslim Advocacy Day, one of USCMO's founding groups, the virulently anti-Semitic American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), returned to lobby Congress yet again. AMP and its partner organization, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), claim to be motivated by universal human rights, but the truth is more alarming; as a recent court case has made clear, AMP is the direct successor organization to the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which was sued into oblivion for being a propaganda front for the terrorist group Hamas.
While the USCMO lobby day focused on domestic issues of concern to Islamists, AMP's fifth annual Palestine Advocacy Day focused on eroding American relations with Israel ‐ complete with two days of training, and presentations from Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Arizona state representative Athena Salman ‐ and an entire day of Hamas-connected activists holding meetings with members of Congress.
Ms. Salman is a relatively new addition to the AMP scene. She was first elected to the Arizona legislature in 2016 and is already serving as minority whip. Salman is an avowed atheist, but her father is Palestinian and Salman publicly defended the movement to Boycott, Divest and Sanction the state of Israel (BDS) during a contentious debate on an anti-BDS bill in the Arizona legislature in early April. (She had voted against the earlier version of the bill as well in 2016, which earned her the endorsement of the Arizona State chapter of SJP.)
Participants in the event seem to be more extreme. One example of excellence is Joe Catron ‐ a blogger at the viciously anti-Semitic site Electronic Intifada ‐ who calls himself a "reluctant citizen of the American empire." Catron maintains a Twitter account emblazoned with images glorifying terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PLFP), such as a map of Israel inside crosshairs, with an Arabic caption that reads, "Hell awaits you."

A joint force of the Iraqi intelligence service and Counter-Terrorism Service conducted airdrop operations on IS hideouts in Himreen mountain range, some 65 km east of the quiet provincial capital Baquba, Sadiq al-Husseini, head of the security committee in Diyala’s provincial council, told Xinhua.
The operations resulted in the killing of seven IS leaders in Diyala, including Abu Idris, dealing the latest major blow to the Death Eater group in the province, al-Husseini said.
The killed leaders are the criminal mastermind behind IS violence and terrorist attacks in the province, al-Husseini said, adding the operations carried by the security forces were difficult as the IS leaders were hiding in rugged areas and inside underground hideouts.

[AlMasdar] The Russian Air Force has unleashed a new series of airstrikes over the Idlib Governorate this evening, targeting several sites under the control of the jihadist rebels.
According to a military source in northwestern Syria, the Russian Air Force primarily targeted Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions around Idlib city tonight.
In particular, the source said the Russian Air Force heavily bombarded the Idlib Central Prison and several small towns near the provincial capital.
No further details have been released at this time.
Meanwhile, in eastern Syria, the Syrian Air Force is currently bombarding the terrain around the key desert city of Al-Sukhnah; this is the area the Islamic State attacked last week.
The Syrian Army is looking to retake the territories they lost near the small desert town of Al-Kawm.
[AlMasdar] Four jihadist rebels were gunned down mysteriously on Sunday after a group of unknown assailants opened fire on them in the southern countryside of the Idlib governorate.
According to pro-militant media, four memebrs of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham were killed while they were traveling near the town of Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In the past, the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) sleeper cells have carried out similar attacks like this, prompting Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham to launch a security operation to crack down on these strikes.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham is currently the most powerful rebel group in northwestern Syria; they control most of the Idlib Governorate and much of western Aleppo.

According to a military source in nearby Homs, the Islamic State hard boyz reached the town of al-Sayyal in eastern Deir Ezzor, where they were eventually spotted by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
Once the Syrian Army spotted the ISIS hard boyz in al-Sayyal, a fierce battle would ensue between the two parties.
Intense festivities are still ongoing at this moment, as the Syrian Arab Army looks to eliminate all of the Islamic State hard boyz that infiltrated from the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
The ISIS hard boyz are trying to reach the Badiya al-Sham region in order to meet up with their comrades and evade capture by either the Syrian Army or Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
While the ISIS hard boyz are besieged by the SDF, they have managed to reach the Euphrates on a number occasions using surprise attacks to break out.

[DW] Britannia's Border Force and coastguard intercepted three small boats carrying 36 migrants colonists in the English Channel between La Belle France and Britannia on Monday.
The border agency said it responded to three separate incidents of vessels crossing the world's busiest shipping lane to reach the British coast.

[IsraelTimes] The Trump administration is offering rewards of up to $10 million each for information that disrupts the finances of Leb’s Hezbollah terror organization.
The US State and Treasury Departments say the money will be paid to people who provide information such as the names of Hezbollah donors and financiers, bank records, customs receipts, or evidence of real estate transactions.
The payments will be made by the State Department’s "Rewards for Justice" program that usually offers cash for information leading to the whereabouts of wanted terrorists. This is the first time the program has been used to target a financial network.

[KhaamaPress] A commander of the Taliban group and his seven fighters were killed in a U.S. drone strike in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
The 201st Silab Corps in a statement said the U.S. forces on Saturday carried out an airstrike using unmanned aerial vehicle targeting a Taliban commander famous as Dada and his fighters in Marki Khel area of Khogyani district.
The statement further added that a Taliban commander famous as Dada was killed in the airstrike with his seven fighters.
Another Taliban militant has also been critically wounded, the 201st Silab Corps added in its statement.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the airstrike so far.
Nangarhar is among the relatively calm provinces in East of Afghanistan but the security situation in some of its remote districts have deteriorated during the recent years as both Taliban and ISIS loyalists attempt to expand their insurgency in this province.

So the Mueller--Weissmann report states no collusion. If there is no collusion and there was not a crime, how can there be obstruction of justice for a non-crime? Early on, Page and Strzok said in an email, "there's no there there? The Mueller counsel ought to be sued for white-collar corruption and fraud. We didn't need a 430 page report that was spread over more than two years.
There was not a mention of the elephant in the room in the pants suit.

The infant's father, Qaiser Ali, spoke briefly to news hounds after his daughter passed away this morning. "My daughter fought very hard but she lost," he said, overcome with emotion.
"Please do something so that another person's daughter is not lost," he pleaded. "Otherwise news reports like this will keep running, and officials will keep paying visits, but nothing will change."
A first information report registered by Ali on April 15 stated that on April 6, he had taken his twins to the hospital for treatment of diarrhoea.
On April 7, one of the two children, identified as Nashwa, was allegedly administered an overdose of potassium chloride (KCL) intravenously rather than via drip, the FIR said. Minutes later, her lips turned blue and she began having trouble breathing.
She was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for 45 minutes, after which her breathing function was restored, and then placed on a ventilator.
On April 12, when Nashwa was taken off the ventilator, doctors informed the father that she "may have suffered a brain injury" due to lack of oxygen supply to the brain that might have been a result of CPR performed on her for 45 minutes.

According to the victim's family, she was taken to a renowned hospital in Karachi's Korangi area for treatment of a gum infection but she ended up losing her life at the facility.
A first information report (FIR) was lodged on the dear departed's brother's complaint against the paramedic named Shahzeb and Dr Ayaz Abbasi, the latter of whom has obtained a pre-arrest bail from a local court.
The woman's family further alleged that the victim was raped before being injected with the solution, although the relevant Section for the alleged crime was not added to the FIR.
Deputy Inspector General East Amir Farooqi told Dawn that the police are investigating the allegation and the charge will be added to the report once the probe is concluded. DNA samples collected from the victim's body as well as the suspects have been sent for examination.
The officer said a preliminary medical report has revealed "sexual activity" but that they were waiting for final report from the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The chief minister, in his statement today, termed the incident "unacceptable" and inquired about the progress of the investigation.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday took notice
[EDITION.CNN] The head of a shadowy North Korean dissident group wanted by US authorities for his connection to the raid on Pyongyang's embassy in Madrid in February is in hiding from North Korean hit squads, his attorney told CNN on Monday.
Andrew Hong, the leader of the group, Cheollima Civil Defense, was not in his apartment when US marshals arrived on Thursday and his lawyer, Lee Wolosky, said he does not know his client's current location.
Video of the encounter shared with CNN by a source close to Hong shows six uniformed officers entering the unit and shouting "police" before beginning a search.
US authorities' interest in Hong is not publicly known, but another Cheollima Civil Defense associate, Christopher Ahn, was enjugged Book 'im, Mahmoud! Thursday in Los Angeles on a provisional warrant from Madrid, law enforcement officials said.
"He certainly fears for his safety. We do have reason to believe that North Korean hit squads have been dispatched to target Mr. Hong and perhaps others, and he is taking necessary steps to evade those hit squads," Wolosky said.

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Iraqi Minister of Education and Scientific Research Qusay al-Suhail has ordered a probe into chants shouted by some university students in Diyala province in commemoration of former president Saddam Hussein and his Baath Party.
A number of students chanted pro-Baath slogans during a ceremony marking their graduation from the University of Diyala’s Faculty of Law.
"The repeated incidents of glorifying the tyrant (Saddam Hussein) and his Baath party during ceremonies held at universities are very dangerous," Alghad Press news website quoted Suhail as saying in a blurb on Monday.
"We do not rule out that some external and internal powers drive the youths to do such acts in violation of the law and the Constitution," the minister added.
Suhail further called on the security staff to "keep a watchful eye on the celebrations" held at the universities so as not to be exploited by the parties hostile to Iraq and its people.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 A.M.) – A Syrian military source in Deir Ezzor told Al-Masdar News this morning that all reports claiming the U.S. Air Force bombed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Albukamal are false.
The source said reports claiming that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian Arab Army (SAA) clashed near Albukamal are also false.
He would add that there are tensions in the area because the Syrian military and Hashd Al-Sha’abi believe the U.S. is preparing an operation to capture the towns of Albukamal and Al-Mayadeen.
The Syrian military believes the U.S. wants to take hold of Albukamal to prevent Iran from using the international highway that links Tehran, Baghdad, and Damascus.
Iran is eager to reopen this highway because the ongoing economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. have prevented them from not only delivering oil to Syria, but also military supplies to their allies like Hezbollah.
[AnNahar] Abdullah Ahmadi, an Afghan living with his wife and five children in an apartment in the Athens suburbs allocated by the UN refugee agency, is about to lose his home for the past three years.
"In two months I have to leave. I have been looking for work in Greece and have only found random jobs that are not enough to support my family," says Ahmadi, who spent a year on the island of Lesbos before being able to reach the Greek capital.
"I do not know how I'm going to get along, and I'm scared that I will end up on the street with my family," he says, distraught.

But even these numbers are enough to overwhelm limited facilities on several Aegean islands opposite Turkey, which are already crammed many times over their nominal capacity.
With nearly 9,000 arrivals since the beginning of this year, the situation on the islands is explosive -- especially on Lesbos and Samos -- and the ministry of migration is desperate to remove as many people from the camps as possible.

But he adds that "after securing asylum, they would theoretically have to leave the dwellings in the next six months, but so far the Greek government had not applied this principle."
The immigration ministry notes that recognised refugees can now draw on state benefits normally allocated to poverty-stricken Greeks, such as rent subsidies.
In addition, for three months after leaving Estia homes, "the refugees will retain the economic aid they receive, and will be helped to obtain a tax number, open a bank account, register at jobs centres," a migration ministry official said.
They are also to receive vocational training.
- 'NEVER HEARD OF THIS' -
Ahmadi, however, seems to be completely unaware of the procedure for obtaining benefits: "I have never heard of this!", he sighs.
NGO worker Christina Svana, who was part of the Athens protest, says the decision to evict was "taken hastily".
"The first expulsions took place a few days ago and the next will take place on June 30. The movement will accelerate and we are afraid that among the evicted people, a large majority cannot fend for themselves and find an apartment," she warns.
"There are no realistic solutions for refugees who will leave their homes or lose their economic aid," medical charity Doctors Without Borders said in a statement last month.
"Theoretically, it is good to say that refugees must integrate and no longer depend on aid provided by the associations and the UNHCR, but for that it was necessary to plan an integration programme," adds Svana.
Over 22,000 people were accommodated thanks to the Estia programme last year.
Greece currently hosts over 70,000 refugees, including nearly 15,000 in overcrowded Aegean island camps.

A week after a 17-hour standoff in Peshawar saw the suspects killed, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Peshawar Qazi Jamil and Counter-Terrorism Department's (CTD) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abdul Ghafoor Afridi gave a briefing to the media.
"It was a gang, a network, that was operating here," CCPO Jamil said. "There were six of them, five of which were killed and one placed in durance vile ... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not... injured.
"[One of the dead's] name is Amjad and he was a resident of Khyber district. He was involved in all major incidents. He had been to Afghanistan five times, and also went to Dubai and Greece, from where he was deported.
"Such individuals previously used to sneak in from Afghanistan but now they are using passports. To detect them is difficult and that is exactly what happened here."
The CCPO said that two security officials had been martyred in the operation, identifying them as ASI Qamar alam and Lance Naik Zafar Iqbal.
The official said that the sole surviving suspect from the operation is a man named Saeed, who "is injured and in the CTD's remand".
The CCPO said that weapons seized in the Hayatabad incident were the same ones used in the attack on Peshawar High Court (PHC) judge Justice Ayub Khan's car earlier this year.
He said that the house targetted during the operation last week was booby-trapped till the basement, whereas a cycle of violence on the property had been rigged with a bomb.

Kilicdaroglu, 70, was attacked by a crowd when he attended the funeral in Ankara for a Ottoman Turkish soldier killed in festivities with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). He was hurried to a safe house by security forces and, unhurt, later gave a speech to supporters.
"The assailants have no respect for the martyr," he said, AFP reported. "They are not genuine Moslems."

The aunt said she'd have no problems, that people along the route in Mexico would help as they did for a large caravan that moved through the area in October.
But this time, the help did not come. The outpouring of aid that once greeted Central American migrants as they trekked in caravans through southern Mexico has been drying up. Hungrier, advancing slowly or not at all, and hounded by unhelpful local officials, frustration is growing among the 5,000 to 8,000 migrants in the southern state of Chiapas. Soon to be followed by "disappointment", then "disillusionment". Senor Soros can only do so much...
Members of the caravan in October received food and shelter from town governments, churches and passers-by. Drivers of trucks stopped to give them a lift. Little of that is happening this time. And local officials who once gave them temporary permits to work in Mexico, now seem to snare them in red tape. Truckers and drivers have been told they will be fined if caught transporting migrants without proper documentation.
Mexico is under pressure from the Trump administration to thwart them from reaching the U.S. border. In April, President Donald Trump threatened to close the U.S.-Mexico border before changing course and threatening tariffs on automobiles produced in Mexico if that country does not stop the flow of Central American migrants.

The Russian Air Force has unleashed a massive attack over the western countryside of Aleppo this afternoon.
According to a military source in Aleppo city, the Russian Air Force has joined the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in heavily bombarding Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s positions in the western part of the governorate.
The source said the Russian airstrikes have hit Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions in Kafr Hamra, Ma’arat Al-Artik, and several other sites along the western and northwestern axes of the Aleppo Governorate.
Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Army kicked off the attack by launching several surface-to-surface missiles and artillery shells towards Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions in western Aleppo.
The strikes by the Syrian Arab Army and Russian Air Force was conducted in response to the jihadist attacks on Aleppo city that killed 19 soldiers and more than 15 civilians.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has attempted to respond to the Syrian Army’s ground assault, but they failed to do any damage.
[AlMasdar] Over the weekend, the special forces branch of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham carried out an operation behind the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) lines in the western part of Aleppo city.
The attack would prove successful as the jihadist rebels killed 19 Syrian soldiers that were entrenched in the Aqrab area of western Aleppo.
During the attack, however, the jihadist rebels also lost a number of fighters, including a Yemeni militant.
Three of the jihadist rebels that were killed by the Syrian Arab Army were identified as the following:
Saiyaf Al-Sanaani (Yemeni national)
Bin Laden Al-Baniyasi (Syrian)
Abu Ahmad Al-Homsi (Syrian)

Seeking Cure For Ignorance I grew up in South Alabama. We skied in the rivers but had to stop when the gators started coming back. Then we had to be very careful swimming in the ponds. Water moccasins and gators are just too much.

[DW] The armed republican group known as the New IRA on Tuesday admitted to the killing of journalist Lyra McKee in the city of Londonderry/Derry last week.
The group made the admission in astatement to The Irish News newspaper.
McKee was rubbed out during a riot as dissident republicans clashed with police last Thursday in the city's Creggan district.
"In the course of attacking the enemy, Lyra McKee was tragically killed while standing beside enemy forces," the statement ‐ which was verified using a recognized codeword ‐ said.
"The IRA offer our full and sincere apologies to the partner, family and friends of Lyra McKee for her death," it added.
The New IRA, which formed in 2012, accused police of provoking rioting that preceded the gun attack in which McKee died. The group rejects the Good Friday agreement of 1998, which brought to an end three decades of a sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland that claimed more than 3,600 lives.
The admission and apology came after far-left republican political group Saoradh, which is associated with the New IRA, called for the organization to apologize.
Saoradh cancelled a dissident republican Easter march on Monday "as a mark of respect."
