Dr. Deborah Birx With MASSIVE Confession Regarding VACCINES (video)
[Rumble] During the COVID pandemic, there were a few big names we saw on our TVs daily — one of those was former White House coronavirus response coordinator, colloquially known as the "Scarf Lady". Along with her were Dr. Anthony Fauci and a gang of other vaccine pushers — however, it seems she's changed her tone regarding the jab. What exactly did she say, and what does it mean for the vaccine at large?

#2  “They were very effective for what they were supposed to be used for, which was preventing severe disease and hospitalization or deaths."

I keep hearing that, from people who want to believe. I can't recall seeing any statistics, and can imagine how one would measure such 'prevention'. Which vaccine was better, and by how much?

All wishful thinking by those that believe, blatant prevarication by those who spread this disinformation.

Those of us that made up the early Real Data & Facts sharing group. Are still awaiting apologies.

All for pointing out pretty much the same things over the last 30+ months, during the mandatory Clot-Shots. All while mRNA funded Gov's pockets knew this suppressed adverse reaction data.

#4  Indeed.
I still maintain that a medical procedure is an individual choice based on best data available.

That said:
“They were very effective for what they were supposed to be used for, which was preventing severe disease and hospitalization or deaths."

Is absolute copeium bullshit. Call the motivations whatever, regionally we were a control group. I can count on a hand the number who got sick enough - without comorbidities - to consider hospital and self cured with the noted battery of anti-flu supplements plus Ivermectim. I can count the same number on the other hand who have died suddenly. I can play the same game with those happy with their boosters and those who had some side effects.

But don't trust me, you can see for yourself. Everyone in the tank for Covid Masks then haven't touched one in ages, except for the Friends of Hamas who, four years ago were given a pass because Covid doesn't transmit during riots, are wearing them now 'for some reason'.

#8  Covid was real. Review my notes there were many school activities cancelled because too many people were sick. In December - Covid discussion began in February.

Disclaimer: this is all anecdotal, yet are data points if you so desire.

I did everything 'wrong' and if I got it, didn't notice. Family: 1 with immediate side effects losing 10 points off the oximeter, 1 with unexpected cardio problems a few months later, 1 who was encouraged by doctor to take it and now doctor said knock it off, Say 8 with no effects (as of now).

2 younger than me forced to take it 'dying suddenly'.

2 who got ultra sick and were cured by the basic Z-Pack and ivermectin.

And say 4 who died 'with Covid' but I'll tell ya they were on the ropes already. Family denied a smooth transition if you will on account of Covid Protocols. Those piss me off. "Hey sorry your fam is dying, can't see 'em because you might get them sick. Now's the time on Sprockets where we dance."

As I said, personal health decision choice. I will point out that with all the homeless plus the Summer of Shove, bodies would have been choking the rivers if it was as bad as sold.

Yes Covid-19+ was real. The wife and I caught it from our RN/LPN vax'd family. We were in the hospital for me for 13days and wife 14 days. It seems vax'd persons got mild cases then became carriers for 7 to days afterwards.

Milei is defying expectations and pulling the Argentinian economy out of a leftist-engineered death spiral
[BLAZE] Since taking office in December, Javier Milei, Argentina's self-proclaimed "anarcho-capitalist" president, has taken a "chainsaw" to his predecessors' failed leftist policies and increasingly to critics' doubts.
Madonna - 1996
Recent economic signals out of the South American nation indicate Milei's free market reforms could ultimately usher Argentina from ruin to renaissance.

BACKGROUND
Argentina was one of the world's richest nations in the early 20th century. However, it was reduced to a shambles after six major military coups and several decades of unchecked spending. A 2016 paper in the Journal of Development Studies indicated that Argentina, which has defaulted on its sovereign debt nine times, was the only country in the world considered to be "developed" in the year 1900 but "developing" in 2000.

When the country's former leftist President Alberto Fernandez left office late last year, Argentina owed $44 billion to the International Monetary Fund; had a trade deficit of $43 billion; had international creditors knocking at the door; had nearly half of its population stuck in abject poverty; and was poised to see inflation exceed 211%.

Milei had no plans of seeing his socialist predecessors' destructionist campaign through to its inevitable conclusion. After all, he had campaigned instead on executing his so-called Chainsaw Plan.

Mass migration not delivering economic benefits, study finds
[Just The News] Mass migration has not delivered significant GDP growth per capita for the United Kingdom, but it has increased strain on the country, according to a new study.

While illegal immigration recently hit record highs in the United States, legal immigration poses a significant issue for the U.K., where legal migration levels are more than 25 times the level of illegal levels, according to a report Wednesday from the Centre for Policy Studies, a U.K. think tank and advocacy group.

The percentage of foreign-born people in the U.K. nearly doubled over two decades, with 9% of the population being foreign-born in 2001 to 17% in 2021, which is even higher than the U.S., where 14% of people are foreign-born.

Additionally, the United Kingdom has seen 10 million people move to the U.K. and 6.3 million leave since 2010, resulting in an additional 3.7 million new migrants.

While the study acknowledges that "correlation is not causation," but states that a "country with more people in it will normally have a higher GDP because there are more workers," and the increase in migration has coincided with a large decline in GDP per capita growth.

Additionally, although the U.K. has increased the number of homes by 2.11 million from April 2013 to March 2023, the country still has a housing "deficit of 1.34 million homes, with net migration in effect accounting for 89% of the deficit," per the study. Compounding the housing issue is that migrants tend to converge in London and the South-East, where the housing pressures are the greatest.

The study's researchers argue that immigration should be capped overall, Parliament should set an annual migration "budget" and the U.K. should be more selective about who it lets in by preferring immigrants who are highly skilled.

The study was written by two members of Parliament — former Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick and Neil O'Brien — as well as CPS Research Director Karl Williams.

"’Immigration is consistently one of the top concerns of voters and they deserve a Department whose sole mission is controlling immigration and securing our borders," Jenrick said.

Government Corruption
Biden Administration Is Now Under Investigation for 'Election Interference'
[PJ] In March 2021, Joe Biden signed an executive order focused on "access to voting," directing federal government agencies to bolster voter registration efforts, facilitate mail-in voting applications for Americans, and tackle misinformation, among other provisions. This order encapsulates the Democratic Party agenda, embedding numerous practices implemented temporarily during the pandemic-impacted 2020 election.

Three years later, the House GOP is now investigating the Biden administration after documents revealed that the White House has been coordinating with left-wing activists on voter registration.

"GOP lawmakers are growing increasingly worried that an executive order issued by President Joe Biden in 2021, which mandated that federal agencies develop voter registration plans with 'approved' outside groups, will be unlawfully weaponized this November to boost Democratic turnout," reports the Washington Examiner. "The Biden administration has framed the unprecedented operation as nonpartisan, though internal documents show the government hosted a July 2021 order planning call that appeared to serve overwhelmingly as a platform for left-wing organizations to suggest sweeping election policy changes."

"President Biden’s EO is an overreach of the executive branch’s constitutional authority and disregards the Constitution’s federalist election system," House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement to the Washington Examiner. "The states set the time, manner, and place of their own elections, and this EO must be looked at seriously."

So, how about a mandatory 10+ Year sentence for any Governmental Staff, Employee, appointed and or elected official that politically applies bias justice, actions and/or rulings. Or does not apply the same due to political views.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Illegal migrants aid criminal networks to steal Texas crude oil
[Washington Examiner] EXCLUSIVE — Authorities in West Texas have begun to see illegal immigrants aiding criminal networks in the stealing of truckloads of valuable oil and materials from the nation’s largest oilfields in the Permian Basin.
A surprise to everyone
Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), whose district spans 800 miles of the Texas border, organized federal and local law enforcement in the region Friday to come up with a plan of attack as the largest U.S. oilfield, the Permian Basin, continues to get hit by thieves. The matter is not only a border security matter but an energy security problem.

"The bottom line is the border crisis is expanding, and it is morphing into other things, and part of that is you have folks that are Cuban nationals that are kind of settling out in West Texas and in some cases are part of this increase in oil theft," Gonzales told the Washington Examiner on Friday in a phone interview, who later added that Cuban involvement was "growing."

Oil theft in the region is no small problem, and the potential for it to destroy oil and gas jobs in the United States is a "very serious, existential threat to our national security," according to Matt Coday, president and founder of the Oil & Gas Workers Association.

"Truckloads of oil are being stolen from small, independent oil producers. Oilfield instruments, trucks, equipment, and even work boots and clothes have been stolen," Coday wrote in a message. "These crimes hurt every American and smaller, independent producers especially."

Sinwar not hiding in Rafah, officials tell ToI, as PM publicly prioritizes IDF op there
[IsraelTimes] Officials say recent intel placed the Hamas leader in underground tunnels around Khan Younis, as the accused October 7 mastermind continues to elude Israeli forces in Gaza

Hamas

leader Yahya Sinwar is not hiding in Rafah, two officials familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel on Friday, as the Israel Defense Forces moves to expand its operations in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
’s southernmost city.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has elevated a potential IDF operation in Rafah to the top of his public agenda, with the targeting of Hamas’s leadership believed to still be a major Israeli war aim as well.

The IDF has had some success on this front, killing Hamas military wing deputy commander Marwan Issa — considered the terror group’s No. 3 leader in Gaza — along with other senior commanders in recent months. But Sinwar and his deputy — military wing chief Mohammed Deif — have remained elusive, despite repeated claims by Israeli officials that the IDF was closing in on them.

The two officials speaking to The Times of Israel were unable to say with certainty where Sinwar is currently located, but they cited recent intelligence assessments that placed the Hamas leader in underground tunnels in the Khan Younis area, some five miles north of Rafah.

A third official — an Israeli one — asserted that Sinwar is still in Gaza.

Israel has made eliminating Sinwar a key element of its goal to destroy Hamas. In February, the IDF released footage of what it said was Sinwar walking through a tunnel with several family members, the first time he was apparently spotted since going into hiding before the devastating October 7 onslaught he’s accused of orchestrating, triggering the ongoing war in Gaza.

IDF ground forces began operating in Rafah on Monday, launching a targeted operation in the eastern part of the city aimed at taking over the Gaza side of the border crossing with Egypt. The security cabinet voted Thursday to approve a measured expansion of the Rafah operation in what is aimed at remaining within the scope of what Washington is willing to accept.

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. ’This Is A Man ThatDoes Not Seem Demented’...
said he would stop sending certain offensive weapons to the IDF if Israel went forward with a major ground offensive in the population centers of the city where over one million Paleostinians are sheltering. He already withheld a shipment of high payload bombs last week amid fears they’d be used in Rafah.

Netanyahu has pledged to launch a major offensive in Rafah for months, arguing that the operation is essential for defeating Hamas, which has four of its remaining six active battalions located in the city.

But one of the officials speaking to The Times of Israel said many Hamas fighters in Rafah have fled northward as Israeli threats of an invasion intensified in recent weeks.

While Israel says 18 of Hamas’s 24 battalions have been dismantled, the terror group’s fighters have managed to regroup and return to areas previously cleared by the IDF.

The IDF was operating in the Gaza City neighborhood of Zeitoun this week for the third time since the war’s outbreak, with security officials warning that the IDF would be forced to continue playing this game of cat and mouse with Hamas until the Israeli government advances a viable alternative to Hamas rule.

While much of the security establishment would like to see the Paleostinian Authority — or at least Paleostinians linked to the PA — fill the vacuums that the IDF is briefly creating through its operations throughout the Strip, Netanyahu has rejected the idea outright, as his far-right allies have pushed for Israel to permanently occupy the Strip and re-establish settlements there.

Absent a diplomatic strategy to compliment the military operations, many of the IDF’s achievements on the ground have been short-lived, the Israeli official told The Times of Israel.

They Went Woke: Oscars Facing Liquidity Crisis, Launch $500 Million Fundraising Drive As Viewers Flee
[ZERO] ......the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has launched a $500 million fundraising initiative in an effort to offset the Oscars dramatic drop in viewership - which went from nearly 44 million in 2014, to just 19.5 million in the latest ceremony, according to Statista.

Bill Kramer, the Academy’s Chief Executive, revealed in an interview with the Financial Times that the organization has already raised about $100 million, with contributions from high-profile donors like billionaire Leonard Blavatnik. The campaign is further bolstered by sponsorship agreements with renowned luxury brands, including the Dorchester Collection.

The timing of this fundraising drive is crucial as the Academy’s current broadcasting agreement with ABC, a Walt Disney-owned network, is set to expire in 2028, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Oscars. Negotiations for renewal are expected to commence shortly, with Kramer describing the existing deal as "very healthy" and lauding the partnership with Disney as "amazing." However, the shift towards streaming and the upheavals in the television and film industry have prompted the Academy to pursue what Kramer calls a "revenue diversification campaign."

"No healthy company or organization should rely on one source of support to a degree that could cause concern if that support decreases," he told the outlet.

The move comes amid broader financial struggles within the non-profit arts sector. Notable institutions like the Metropolitan Opera in New York have had to draw emergency funds from endowments due to cash shortfalls, and the Sundance Film Festival has faced significant challenges recovering post-Covid-19 disruptions.

Liberal Cesspol: California's Far-left District Attorneys Reportedly Won't Prosecute Any Child Predator from Sting Operations Online Group Turns In (VIDEO)
[Gateway] In a recent viral sting operation by a group of prominent YouTubers, including Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, an alarming allegation has surfaced that California’s District Attorneys will not prosecute individuals caught in these stings, despite clear evidence of predatory behavior towards minors.

Last Tuesday, the online series "Catching Child Predators," led by Zdorovetskiy along with DJ Deorro and Bradley Martyn, released a disturbing episode where Herschel Weingrod, a veteran Hollywood producer known for his work on ’1996 Space Jam’, was caught on camera in a compromising situation.

Weingrod, who introduced himself as "Boris," was filmed at a local restaurant with a young girl who, according to him, claimed to be 23 based on her dating profile. However, during the confrontation, it was revealed she had informed him of her actual underage status.

The confrontation escalated as Weingrod attempted to dismiss the severity of his actions, claiming that talking and flirting with a minor was "not a big deal." The situation intensified when Weingrod tried to leave the scene, only to be pursued by Zdorovetskiy and Martyn, who resorted to firing pink and blue gunpowder cannons.

Gavin Newsom is coming for your car, and he wants you to know it
[Politico] F*&K HIM
His pitch: The effects of climate change are upon us and the world — including California — ignores them at their peril.

California is “meeting the moment head-on as the hots get hotter, the dries get drier, the wets get wetter, simultaneous droughts and rain bombs,” Newsom said last month in a Central Valley orchard outfitted with solar panels and batteries. “We have to address these issues with a ferocity that is required of us.”

He’s heading to the Vatican next week to meet with Pope Francis and other leaders, where he’ll highlight what’s at stake with “global temperatures hurtling towards alarming new heights.” The trip comes after a swing through China last fall, where he touted California’s sharing of climate policy and technology.

Newsom’s moves to promote electric vehicles and renewable energy while phasing out gas-powered cars, trying to recoup climate-related damages from oil giants and going after refiners’ profits have won strong support in California, but his efforts face a reliable line of attack from the industry and Republicans who say it’s all too expensive.

He’s used to the criticism. A key part of his strategy has been to ascribe high gas prices and utility bills to corporate greed and gouging while beating back proposals that he believes go too far like Proposition 30, which would have raised taxes on the rich in 2022 to funnel money to electric vehicles.

Somalia Requests UN to Terminate UNSOM Mandate
[ShabelleMedia] In a significant move towards the future of its governance, Somalia has officially requested the termination of the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) by the end of its current mandate in October 2024.

This decision was announced by the Somali government on May 9, 2024, marking a crucial transition in the nation’s partnership with the United Nations.

Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Figi expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation extended by the United Nations Mission throughout its tenure in Somalia. The government’s request comes after a thorough consideration of its strategic priorities, indicating a transition to the next phase of cooperation with the UN.

Established in 2013, UNSOM has played a pivotal role in supporting the Federal Government of Somalia with peacebuilding, state-building, and governance efforts, as the country strives to recover from decades of conflict. The mission has been instrumental in promoting peace, stability, and development in Somalia.

The request for the termination of UNSOM’s mandate reflects the progress Somalia has made in recent years and its growing confidence in managing its own affairs. The Somali government has emphasized its commitment to continuing collaboration with the UN on sustainable development goals beyond UNSOM’s departure.

The United Nations Security Council and Secretary-General António Guterres
...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years...
have received a copy of the letter requesting the termination of UNSOM’s mandate. The swift conclusion of the necessary procedures to terminate the Mission by the end of October 2024 has been kindly requested by the Somali government.

This move signals a new chapter in Somalia’s journey towards self-governance and development, as the nation looks forward to increased international support, especially in the context of the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...

From the corridor to panic. What is the Russian Federation planning in the Kharkov region?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] The Russian Army began offensive operations on the border of Ukraine in the Kharkov region, and intense fighting continues there now.

The Russian army has begun a new wave of offensive actions in the Kharkov direction and is trying to break through the defense line, confirms Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

The Ministry of Defense adds that as of May 10, these attacks were repelled, and fighting of varying intensity continued. At the same time, the command nevertheless decided to strengthen this section of the front with reserve units. What Russia was up to by intensifying its attacks in the Kharkov region is further in the story.

WHAT'S KNOWN FOR THE EVENING
A number of Ukrainian public pages report that the Russians nevertheless captured several border villages. In particular, journalist Yuri Butusov reported that at night Russian troops with up to 4-5 infantry battalions crossed the state border line and captured four border villages - Strelkoye, Krasnoye, Pilnaya, Borisovka. The largest captured settlement was Strilne.

This area, according to him, has actually been a gray zone for a long time; the defense line was not deployed there, so the enemy managed to create a bridgehead up to 10 km wide and up to 5 km deep on Ukrainian territory without any special obstacles. The total area of the occupied territory is more than 30 square kilometers, the journalist adds.

Analysts from DeepState confirm Butusov’s words. In particular, experts, with reference to Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, spoke about the situation that developed in Pilny. The public claims that the occupiers “have been freely in the village for some time, as if they were at home, and the local command in a strange way provided information about the situation in the village, which, in particular, was used by the senior military-political leadership.”

As evidence, Deep State publishes screenshots of the presence of Russian military personnel in Pilna in previous days.

“The result is natural - the enemy accumulated its forces and began to push both into neighboring villages and to the south,” analysts note.

They also conclude that so far the Russian offensive efforts have been distracting in nature and limited in their mechanized capabilities. However, landings on the territory of the Russian Federation “contain additional forces that can be used in case of accidental success, as, for example, in Ocheretino.”

As for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, experts say that our military has a problem with establishing communication between units, which “leads to personnel losses, including due to the lack of counter-battery combat.”

Later, the statements of Deep State and Butusov were denied by the head of the Kharkov regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov. He says that all attempts to storm the occupiers in the north of the Kharkov region were repulsed, but there were no losses of territory. According to him, the settlements where the enemy wanted to break through are located 1-2 km from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

WHAT IS THE ENEMY UP TO?
Military publics note that the Russian army in the Kharkov region may have several strategies.

The first is a direct operation to capture Kharkov. In this case, the invaders will try to cut the Kyiv-Kharkov highway and then, developing an offensive, turn east and enter the regional center from the south. In parallel with this, one can expect an attack from Volchansk in the direction of Chuguev with the aim of cutting off Kharkov from the main forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are located in the Kupyansk area.

The second is the creation of a “corridor” or “sanitary zone” for the Belgorod region and moving the front line closer to Kharkov in order to turn it into a front-line one.

The third is a “deceptive maneuver” to draw back the reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and strike in a completely different place. As well as the enemy’s “information” operation to incite panic.

WHAT ARE THE UKRAINIAN ARMED FORCES LEANING TOWARDS?
The latter scenario is considered more realistic by the speaker of the operational-strategic command of the Khortitsa troops, Nazar Voloshin. According to him, the activation of the Russian army in the north of the Kharkov region is nothing more than an “information and psychological operation” of the enemy.

Thus, according to Voloshin, the Russians want to sow panic among the population and interfere with the planning of operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, force the Ukrainian military to withdraw forces and resources from Donetsk to the Kharkov direction.

“There is no offensive in the north of the Kharkov region. The defense forces, together with the Armed Forces and various military formations, control the situation,” he said for the hromadske portal .

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council, Defense Forces officer Andrei Kovalenko also adds that today, during the fighting in the border region of the Kharkov region, the Russians used information manipulation and launched a campaign “the beginning of an offensive on Kharkov” to sow panic among civilians.

At the same time, according to him, the Russians have the strength for a broader offensive in the north in the border areas, in fact these are the Sumy and Kharkov regions. But regarding a full-fledged attack on Kharkov, the enemy does not have enough of these forces, Kovalenko assures.

Putin signed a decree appointing Mishustin as chairman of the Russian government
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Mikhail Mishustin as chairman of the Russian government, the Kremlin press service reported.

Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin
The decree of the head of state was published on May 10.

“In accordance with paragraph “a” of Article 83 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, appoint Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin as Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation,” the document says.

The decree came into force from the moment it was signed.

As reported by Regnum news agency, on May 10, the State Duma approved Mishustin for the post of prime minister. 375 people voted in favor, 57 deputies abstained.

The Russian government in its entirety resigned before President Vladimir Putin took office on May 7. The Cabinet of Ministers headed by Mishustin worked for more than four years. Putin thanked the ministers for their work and instructed the outgoing government to work until a new cabinet of ministers is formed.

Before the State Duma meeting, Putin held a meeting with Mishustin. The head of state expressed confidence that deputies would support Mishustin’s candidacy and noted that the new government should first of all strive to achieve Russia’s national development goals.

Mishustin, during a speech in the State Duma, in particular, said that the government needs, in accordance with the task set by the president, to do everything possible to increase the incomes of citizens, noted that the maternity capital program will be extended until 2030, and refused the proposal to abandon the budget rule and the National Welfare Fund.

The State Duma will consider candidates for the positions of deputy prime ministers on May 13, and on May 14 a plenary meeting will be held at which candidates for the positions of ministers will be discussed, the speaker of the lower house of parliament Vyacheslav Volodin said earlier.

“No pauses”: where will Mishustin lead the new government

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Mikhail Mishustin as Chairman of the Russian Government. This is stated on the Kremlin website.

The decree of the head of state was published on May 10.

“In accordance with paragraph “a” of Article 83 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, appoint Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin as Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation,” the decree says.

The document came into force from the moment of signing.

PRESIDENT'S CHOICE
On the morning of May 10, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced that Putin had nominated Mishustin for the post of prime minister. The vote on the approval of Mishustin’s candidacy took place after his report, questions from deputies and speeches from representatives of political factions.

On the same day, before considering Mishustin’s candidacy in the State Duma, Putin held a meeting with him. The head of state expressed confidence that deputies would support Mishustin’s candidacy and noted that the new government should first of all strive to achieve Russia’s national development goals.

“Together with you and with our colleagues from the government, we formulated national development goals, this, of course, is the main thing we should strive for - the implementation of these goals in all areas. And as the practice of recent years shows, in general we are able to achieve the results that the country needs, and in today’s difficult conditions, of course, we need to get together and we need to organize the work exactly as we agreed at the last meeting with the government - to work without pauses,” Putin said at a meeting with Mishustin.

CANDIDACY APPROVAL
On the same day, the State Duma approved Mishustin as prime minister. 375 deputies voted in favor, 57 abstained.

Mishustin emphasized during his speech that the new government will work to fulfill all the national development tasks set by the president in his message to the Federal Assembly

“The first is strengthening the economy. The second is ensuring technological sovereignty. Third is digital transformation. Fourth - saving people and supporting families with children. Fifth, improving the well-being of citizens. The sixth is the balanced development of regions and infrastructure,” Mishustin noted during his speech.

“NO PAUSES” IN GOVERNMENT WORK
Speaking to deputies, Mishustin emphasized that the new government will ensure continuity in work to achieve all national development goals.

“I want to assure you that there will be no pauses in the work of the government, we will continue our current work. I also believe that we must ensure continuity in all national goals that were before this - in Decrees 204 and 474. We will do everything to develop our economy in order to justify the trust of our people, and I am confident that under your leadership we will solve all the tasks that have been set, ” he noted.

Among the previously set goals are the development of our own market and the displacement of imports through fair market competition. Over the next six years, large-scale investments are planned in Russia to strengthen the personnel base, industrial and social spheres.

EXPERIENCED GOVERNMENT
On May 6, Putin held a final meeting with members of the outgoing government. He thanked them for their joint work, positively assessed the activities in the economic sphere during the coronavirus pandemic and added that the ministers acted in a balanced and timely manner. The head of state called for a change of government without pauses in work.

During their speeches at the plenary session, the faction chairmen noted that over the past four years, the government under the leadership of Mishustin has faced serious challenges, including the coronavirus pandemic and an unprecedented sanctions policy towards Russia.

In turn, according to various media sources, the main “backbone” of the government will remain. Thus, information has appeared that Denis Manturov will retain the post of Deputy Prime Minister, but will resign from the post of head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. According to media sources, the place of head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade may be taken by the governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov. The media also wrote that acting Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev could be promoted to Deputy Prime Minister.

At the same time, on May 6, the president noted at the final meeting with the government that the experience, business qualities and authority of all members of the current Cabinet will be in demand in the future. According to the head of state, in modern conditions “there are no trifles”; the cost of the actions of the Russian leadership in “historic times” for the country is extremely high.

The State Duma will consider candidates for the positions of deputy prime ministers on May 13, and on May 14 a plenary meeting will be held at which candidates for the positions of ministers will be discussed.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: May 10, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

According to him, the entire border area has long been a gray zone; the enemy can even enter there with his own equipment. There are battles going on there now. Sinegubov said that 17 attacks were repulsed in the Kupyansky direction. “Enemy DRGs can enter some of our territories, but are rebuffed by Ukrainian defenders. There is no ground threat for Kharkov; the enemy’s offensive potential is still lacking,” he added.

16:07 The first F-16 fighters will arrive in Ukraine in June-July, The Standard reported, citing a high-ranking military source.

"Russia knows that if we get enough weapons within a month or two, the situation could turn against them," the general explained.

At the same time, Pavlyuk said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a major shortage of artillery and armored vehicles, and not of people. He also believes that the Russian Federation will continue to focus on the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, but has not yet given up on the idea of capturing Kyiv. According to the general, the Russian army cannot carry out large-scale operations on several fronts at once. “Russia is testing the stability of our lines before choosing the most suitable direction,” he said.

Pavlyuk also said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing ten new brigades, some of which will be deployed to protect Kyiv.

My farewell visit is also an opportunity to convey this message to our home,” Caputova noted.

13:32 Today, at about 5 am, the Russians tried to break through the defense line under the cover of armored vehicles in the Volchansky direction, the Ministry of Defense reported. As of now, the attacks have been repelled, and battles of varying intensity are taking place. To strengthen the defense on this sector of the front, reserve units have been sent. 12:38 The head of the Kharkov OVA Oleg Sinegubov confirmed that the Russians have intensified shelling in the northern direction, primarily striking the city of Volchansk. According to him, shelling with CABs, MLRS and artillery continued all night, and there were also unsuccessful attempts by the DRG to break through the border. At the same time, Sinegubov emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are confidently holding their positions, “not a single meter has been lost.” “The enemy group does not pose a threat to Kharkov; its forces are only sufficient for provocations in the northern direction,” added the head of the OVA. He also called on residents of border settlements to take shelter. For more information about what is happening in the Kharkov region, see the article Attempt to break through the Russian Federation into the Kharkov region .

12:16 In the morning, the Russians fired artillery at the civilian infrastructure of the Esman community, Shostkinsky district, Sumy region - one person was killed, a 17-year-old was wounded, the prosecutor's office reported.

11:57 Ukrainian military reports that the Russians are preparing an attack in the area of Volchansk, Kharkov region. Thus, at night the Russian army carried out powerful artillery preparations, and DRG groups tried to probe the border line, but they were repulsed. Russian military public pages also write that from 5 am they intensively shelled the Kharkov region, especially Volchansk.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrei Kovalenko, said that the Russian Federation will only be able to aggravate the situation on the border, but not break through to Kharkov. According to him, the actions of the Russians are predictable. “The enemy has the resources to aggravate the situation in the border area, as was previously discussed. It is important not to confuse this with the ability to capture Kharkov, which does not exist. Now there will be a lot of speculation on this topic,” Kovalenko warned.

11:42 The Czech Republic transferred the first F-16 fighter simulator to one of the tactical aviation brigades of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Its main module is already being tested and prepared for operation by Ukrainian specialists, the Air Force reported and showed a video:

10:58 Magura maritime drones, according to preliminary estimates, caused damage to the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the amount of about $500 million, said Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate. According to him, the process of improving the Magura V5 maritime drone continues continuously. After each successful operation, a thorough analysis of the actions of both Ukrainian intelligence officers and the enemy is carried out.

10:51 The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for booking military personnel during martial law. Now the central executive authorities, after checking the lists of reserved enterprises, will submit them for approval to the Ministry of Defense, and not to the General Staff, as before.

10:48 The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense warns of a new wave of Russian IPSO amid the aggravation of the situation at the front. The Russian Federation is increasing its destabilization efforts aimed at splitting Ukrainian society. In particular, it can use mass measures for this using political slogans, where it throws in its own provocations. Intelligence emphasizes that the enemy’s military targets are not only military facilities, but also civilian infrastructure - hospitals, train stations, crowds of people.

10:27 As a result of Russian shelling, one person was wounded in the Ostromy Kurakhovsky community of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, said the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin.

09:59 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that the Russian army will continue to maintain the current high rate of attacks for some time, but then its capabilities will decrease. Analysts note that over the past month, the Russian army has noticeably increased the frequency of ground attacks in eastern Ukraine.

Thus, the British Ministry of Defense reported that the number of Russian attacks increased by 17% from March to April. The main efforts of the Russian Federation were concentrated on Chasovoy Yar, Avdeevka and Marinka. In particular, the number of attacks on Chasov Yar increased by 200% between March and April. This is partly due to the fact that the soil has dried out, opening the way for armored vehicles. This likely “reflects the current conditions of hostilities and the intention of the Russian military command to achieve success before Western military assistance arrives on the front lines,” experts say.

09:31 In the Kherson region, one person was wounded as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours, said the head of the OVA, Alexander Prokudin. 28 private houses were damaged, critical infrastructure and a gas pipeline were hit.

08:56 At night, the Russians launched a missile strike on Kharkov - 12 private houses were damaged, two people were injured, including an 11-year-old child, said Oleg Sinegubov, head of the OVA. Another person was injured as a result of enemy shelling. Liptsy, Kharkov region.

In particular, in the Avdeevsky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 28 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kalinovo, Novoaleksandrovka, Sokol, Novoselovka Pervaya, Umanskoye, Yasnobrodovka, Netaylovo, Donetsk region. Another 21 attacks were repulsed in the Bakhmut direction - in the Belogorivka areas of the Luhansk region, as well as Verkhnekamensky, Novy, Razdolovka, Ivanovsky, Stupochek, Kleshcheevka and Andreevka of the Donetsk region.

07:35 At night, drones attacked the First Plant refinery in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation, a large-scale fire broke out on the spot, Russian public pages write. The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, confirmed that “as a result of the fall of a UAV,” a fire occurred on the territory of the enterprise in the Dzerzhinsky district; at the moment, the fire has been extinguished, and there were no casualties.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that at night the air defense allegedly destroyed five UAVs over the Bryansk, Moscow and Belgorod regions. Another drone was intercepted in the Kursk region, local authorities reported.

06:59 Air defense at night destroyed all ten attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type, which Russia attacked from the territory of Crimea, the Air Force reported. The drones were destroyed within the Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson regions. In addition, the enemy used two S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Belgorod region in the direction of the Kharkov region.

06:02 British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that the governments of NATO allies should increase defense spending due to the threat of a large-scale war with Russia. In particular, he called for setting a “new benchmark” for defense spending at 2.5% of GDP. In turn, London promised to reach 2.5% by 2030. “This world is more dangerous, more unstable, more confrontational than most of us have ever known. Somali migrants held captive in Libya rescued
[ShabelleMedia] At least 107 migrants colonists, including women and kiddies, have been released from a town in southeastern Libya, according to a front man for the Libyan army.

Walid Alorafi, the front man for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Benghazi, said that the migrants colonists were held for seven months as they tried to go to Europe.

The migrants colonists came from different countries in sub-Saharan Africa, but most of them came from Somalia according to Alorafi.

"Last night we attacked a place where they were hiding in the center of Kufra city, and we found illegal migrants colonists including women, children, and old men, some of whom showed signs of torture and gunshots," said Alorafi.

The migrants colonists were all handed over to the IOM’s illegal migration agency.

The CID released videos showing their forces destroying the house where the migrants colonists were staying. Among the other videos, shots were fired at migrants colonists whose bodies show signs of torture.

Some of the migrants colonists were seen being taken away in an ambulance with aid workers. The health condition of some migrants colonists is very poor, according to Alorafi.

Fifth Column
Texas High School Principal Responds To Backlash Over Yearbook's Times Of Palestine Page
[NYPost] A high school which published a yearbook with a page dismissing the October 7 terror attack on Israel says it will print a new version without the page.
A full return and replace? Expensive, but it’s the right thing to do.
In the email to parents of students at Bellaire High School, principal Michael Niggli said he was “surprised by the content” — which dismissed the attack which claimed the lives of 1,200 and resulted in over 240 hostages being taken — as “what happened, happened.”

Of those hostages, 128 remain in captivity, according to Israel.

Niggli also said the school will be “enforcing new editorial protocols,” to ensure something similar doesn’t happen again in the email, sent Sunday.
The usual thing is to replace the advisor and fire the student editor…
“Although the yearbook staff and their sponsorship are charged with editing the content of the publication as they have been for many years, as principal of Bellaire High School I will need to make some adjustments to that process.

“We will be enforcing new editorial protocols for all student publications in the coming weeks as we prepare for 2024-25,” Niggli wrote to parents.

The school featured the page as an Arab student’s “account of the Israel-Gaza conflict” in the original printed version of the yearbook.
No problem there, so long as an Israeli student’s account is included
“Would Palestine have ended up differently if October 7 didn’t happen? Everybody would want to change the past, but what happened happened,” the unidentified student was quoted saying in the page.

“Many movements started right after then that were pro-Palestine after that attack, which motivated me and my friends to also take a stand. We had to show the world that we wouldn’t stop fighting for our freedom.”
How many of them have the genocidal “From the river to the sea…” as their motto?
Palestine is not recognized as a self-governing state by the US or many other major world powers.

A photo of the original yearbook page was shared by concerned Bellaire High School parent Yafit Bar,
…sounds like an Israeli name — bet her child has a perspective on events over there, too…
who told The Post that the issue is “personal for her” because her brother Leon Bar was ambushed and killed in Israel in the wake of Hamas’ October terrorist attack.
…or an interview, if the kid didn’t feel up to writing something him or herself.
Leon was voluntarily shuttling injured civilians in his car to the hospital in southern Israel on October 8 when killed by a Hamas terrorist.

In a later statement, the school said it will “provide a revised yearbook to any student who would like them.”

So not a full recall and replace. Instead they will create Jewish ghetto for their high school yearbook. Fascinating.
In a later statement, Principal Niggli said: “The Bellaire High School community is one of the most diverse schools in Houston Independent School District. That diversity is one of our greatest attributes – it makes us stronger.

“The Carillon, our nationally acclaimed yearbook, is a source of pride for everyone at Bellaire High School, and when it was released last Thursday, many in our community were disappointed to see that it included content that reflected only one perspective of a very complex issue.

“I’m disappointed that one of our most celebrated traditions might divide our community instead of bringing it together. But more than anything, I deeply regret that this created a circumstance where some of our students didn’t feel safe and supported in our school. We will work to prevent this from happening again.”
But whatever work they do will not include getting rid of the Jew-hating entry in the yearbook.
During the Oct. 7 attack, brutal Hamas terrorists committed acts of sexual violence, including gang rape against civilians, United Nations experts have concluded.

In response to an Niggli’s email, an Instagram page entitled “protest.bellaire.now2024” also posted Sunday urging students to walk out of class May 10 to show their opposition to the principal’s response, saying his action “undermines” student “voices … and hinders free speech.”

#1  An official yearbook published by a public school is a public forum to which there should be content neutral access.

I think robust counter speech which is still protected in the US would have been a better approach than censorship.

It is better to know what the consensus opinion within certain groups is than to accept mendacious bromides like "Islam is peace."

"We had to show the world that we wouldn’t stop fighting for our freedom.”

They fight for their freedom to kill the Jews and to enslave the non-Muslims on Earth.
"It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet."

Simply put.
High School Year Books are supervised and approved for publication by the School's assigned faculty.

Nothing goes into an HS Year Book without the High School Yearbook Staff supervisor's review and approval.

Four IDF soldiers killed as battles rage across Gaza; tanks said to advance into Rafah
[IsraelTimes] Security cabinet said to approve measured expansion of op in southern part of Strip, risking clash with Biden; dozens of gunmen killed in fighting, tunnels found

Four Israeli soldiers were killed and several maimed as fierce battles raged across the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
Strip on Friday, while Hamas

fired rockets at the southern city of Beersheba for the first time since December, lightly injuring a woman.

Israeli tanks reportedly advanced on a main road dividing the eastern and western halves of southern Gaza’s Rafah on Friday, amid heavy festivities taking place in the area, as well as in Gaza City in the north of the Strip.

The four soldiers were killed in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood. According to an initial IDF probe, they were hit by an bomb or devices in an alleyway.

The troops had been raiding a school complex where the military had indications of Hamas activity. Weaponry and at least one tunnel were discovered in the area of the school.

The IDF has returned several times to the Zeitun neighborhood since the war’s outbreak, as Hamas has managed to regroup in areas previously cleared by the army.

The soldiers were identified as Sgt. Itay Livny, 19, from Ramat Hasharon; Sgt. Yosef Dassa, 19, from Kiryat Bialik; Sgt. Ermiyas Mekuriyaw, 19, from Beersheba and Sgt. Daniel Levy, 19, from Kiryat Motzkin. All four were from the Nahal Brigade’s 931st Battalion.

Another officer and soldier of the 931st Battalion were seriously maimed in the same incident.

Their deaths bring the toll of slain troops in the IDF’s ground offensive in Gaza and amid operations on the border to 271.

Separately, another two soldiers of the 401st Armored Brigade’s 9th Battalion were seriously maimed by RPG fire on a tank in the Rafah area of southern Gaza.

When the Israel Defense Forces launched its operation in eastern Rafah late Monday, it said troops had captured part of the Salah a-Din road, along with the Rafah Crossing to Egypt.

According to a report by Rooters, it appeared that tanks had pushed further along the road on Friday, although still within a zone that the IDF ordered to be evacuated.

Residents described almost constant explosions and gunfire east and northeast of the city, with intense fighting between Israeli forces and operatives of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad

terror groups.

Hamas claimed to have ambushed Israeli tanks near a mosque in the east of the city, a sign the IDF had penetrated several kilometers from the east to the outskirts of the built-up area of the city.

The Israeli military said Friday that it had killed dozens of button men as it continued to operate in eastern Rafah, as well as in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood.

Israel ordered civilians out of the eastern outskirts of Rafah earlier this week. The military has estimated that around 150,000 Paleostinians in the east Rafah area have evacuated already.

Around a million more Paleostinians, who fled other parts of the enclave during the war, remain in the city itself, and they have not been called to evacuate yet as the operation remains limited in scope amid hostage negotiations with Hamas.

Still, the security cabinet voted on Thursday night to approve a "measured" expansion of the IDF’s operation in Rafah, Hebrew media reported

The expansion was deemed as measured in what Israel hopes will not cross the line into what the United States deems as a "major operation."

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences...
warned earlier this week that he would halt certain offensive weapons shipments to Israel if it entered into the population centers of Rafah due to concerns over the one million-plus civilians sheltering there.

The Axios news site cited two sources who say the expansion will be limited enough so as to not upset the Biden administration, while a third source warned the moves could be interpreted by the US as a step too far.

The security cabinet also voted to instruct Israel’s hostage negotiating team to continue its efforts to try and reach a hostage deal by putting together a new proposal in the hopes of reaching a breakthrough, Axios reported. Far-right ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich voted against the decision but were outnumbered.

In east Rafah, troops of the Givati Brigade located several tunnel shafts and killed dozens of button men, and the 401st Armored Brigade killed several more button men in close-quarters combat and by calling in Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s in the area of the Rafah Crossing with Egypt, the IDF said Friday.

The military also said the Air Force and 215th Artillery Regiment carried out several strikes in Rafah over the past day, targeting sites used by Hamas to launch rockets and mortars at troops and at Israel.

ROCKETS ON BEERSHEBA
Also Friday, five rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip at the southern city of Beersheba, according to the IDF. One was intercepted by the Iron Dome while the other four hit open areas, it said.

A 37-year-old woman was lightly maimed by shrapnel, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said, adding that the woman was taken to Soroka Hospital for treatment.

The shrapnel also caused some damage to a city park. It was not immediately clear if it was caused by a direct impact or a large fragment that fell and caused the damage.

Hours later, a second barrage nine rockets were launched from Rafah Beersheba. The IDF said all nine rockets struck open area. Hamas claimed the second barrage too.

The last time rockets were fired from at Beersheba, some 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Gaza, was in December.

Several mortars and rockets were also launched from the Rafah area at the southern border communities of Sufa, Kerem Shalom and Nir Yitzhak and at troops in Gaza on Friday.

Some of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome, as sirens sounded in the border towns.

Meanwhile,

Jack! Cynthia exclaimed. Do you know how to drive one of these things?

Jack wiped some of the blood from his knuckles.

No, he said. Do you?...
in Zeitoun, where the IDF launched a pinpoint operation early Thursday, the military said fighter jets struck several button men and Hamas sites, including a booby-trapped building.

The IDF reported that in recent days, Nahal troops killed several button men, including by calling in airstrikes, as well as captured weapons and intelligence materials in the Zeitoun area.

In central Gaza’s Netzarim Corridor, the IDF said reservists of the Yiftah Brigade spotted a cell of button men leaving a known weapons depot and moving toward the forces, before calling in an airstrike against them. The weapons depot and another operative in the area were targeted in separate strikes, the military said.

More than 40 more targets, including tunnels, anti-tank missile launch positions, buildings, observation posts and other infrastructure were struck by the Air Force in other areas of Gaza, the IDF adds.

The war in Gaza erupted after Hamas’s October 7 attacks, which saw some 3,000 forces of Evil burst across the border into Israel by land, air and sea, killing some 1,200 people and seizing 252 hostages, mostly civilians, many amid acts of brutality and sexual assault.

The ensuing war has killed over 34,800 Paleostinians, according to Gaza health officials, though data issued by the Hamas-run authorities cannot be independently verified, and is believed to include both civilians and Hamas members killed in Gaza, including as a consequence of terror groups’ own rocket misfires.

Israel has said it has killed some 15,000 terror operatives in Gaza,
…note that the number has increased, dear Reader…
in addition to some 1,000 forces of Evil inside Israel on October 7, while 267 soldiers have been killed during the ground offensive against Hamas and amid operations along the Gaza border.
Sadly, that number went up to 271 later in the day — the soil of liberty being watered.

Sinister Hamas terms would let it keep most hostages, win the war, inflame the West Bank
[IsraelTimes] It took the US more than a day to internalize that Hamas had not in fact accepted a hostages-for-truce proposal. But the text of its ’agreement’ is far more duplicitous than that.

On Tuesday night, more than a day after Hamas

claimed to have approved what it said was the Egyptian and Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. i mediators’ proposal "regarding a ceasefire agreement," the US State Department front man Matthew Miller finally declared publicly, "That is not what they did."

Rather, said Miller, "They responded with amendments or a counterproposal." The US, he said, was "working through the details of that now."

In fact, close examination of the Hamas document, as issued (Arabic) by the terror group itself, shows that far from containing "amendments" or a remotely viable counterproposal, it is constructed with incendiary sophistication to ensure that Hamas survives the war and regains control over the entire Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Strip. (Quotations from the Hamas text in this piece are from a translation by the Qatari-owned Al Jazeera website.)

But that’s far from all.

It is also calculated to ensure that Hamas secures further key, immensely far-reaching goals without having to meet the prime Israeli requirement for a deal: the release of all the hostages. In fact, Hamas can abrogate the deal, with all of its key goals achieved and then some, while continuing to hold almost all of the hostages.

Among those goals is one of the most central Hamas objectives since it invaded Israel on October 7 — seeing its declared war of destruction against the Jewish state expand to the West Bank. By extension, the terms of the document are also designed to destroy US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
’s grand vision of Saudi normalization and a wider Middle East coalition against Iran.

A STREAM OF OMINOUS CHANGES
Much has been made of the fact that, whereas Israel has repeatedly insisted it will not end the war as a condition for the release of the hostages, Hamas, in the opening paragraphs of its own sinister alternate proposal, specifies that one "aim" of the deal is "a return to a sustainable calm that leads to a permanent ceasefire." But relatively speaking, that’s splitting hairs: The proposal conveyed by the mediators to Hamas late last month, and described by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
as an "extraordinarily generous" Israeli offer, reportedly provides for an "arrangement to restore sustainable calm" — which sounds like a near-euphemism for a permanent ceasefire.

Much has correctly been made of the fact, however, that, in the Hamas document, Israel is to cease military operations in the first six-week stage of the three-stage deal, in which 33 hostages are to be freed, and that the IDF must "withdraw completely" from Gaza and a "permanent cessation of military operations" must take effect before any more hostages are freed in the second stage.

Less widely appreciated is that the Hamas proposal states that, in the first stage, "internally displaced people in Gaza shall return to their areas of residence" and that "all residents of Gaza shall be allowed freedom of movement in all parts of the Strip," with all Israeli "aviation (military and reconnaissance)" in Gaza to cease for much of each day.

Combined with a partial withdrawal of IDF troops as further specified for this first stage, the effect of these demands would be to enable Hamas’s button men and officials to retake control of the entire Gaza Strip. The Hamas proposal does use the word "unarmed" in one clause to describe the displaced persons who would be allowed to return to their areas of residence, but the accompanying demands and provisions mean that Israel would have no right and no means under the proposal to impose any such limitation.

Even more significant, and largely unrecognized, however, is the radical reconfiguration in the Hamas document of the terms and process for the release of Israeli hostages.

The Hamas proposal is structured to enable it to release very few of the hostages in return not only for an end to the IDF’s campaign in Gaza and its survival and resumption of full control there, but also for a planned surge in support for Hamas in the West Bank, the further neutering of the Paleostinian Authority, and the potential major escalation of violence against Israel in and from the West Bank

Many of the relatives of the 128 Israelis still held in Gaza since October 7, alive and dead, have pleaded, desperately and understandably, for a deal at any or almost any price, including an end to the war, in return for the release of all, most, or even many of the hostages.

But the Hamas proposal is structured to enable it to release very few of the hostages in return not only for an end to the IDF’s campaign in Gaza and its survival and resumption of full control there, but also for a planned surge in support for Hamas in the West Bank, the further neutering of the Paleostinian Authority, and the potential major escalation of violence against Israel in and from the West Bank.

How so?

WHO GOES FREE
The Hamas proposal remakes the previous document under which Hamas was to release at least 33 living hostages in the first stage of the deal, at a rate of three hostages every three days from the first day that the deal takes effect.

In the Hamas proposal, as has been widely noted, it no longer commits to freeing 33 living hostages in the first stage — itself a concession by Israel, which had sought 40 living hostages in the first stage — but now says the 33 hostages may be "alive or dead."

Moreover, Hamas would release the first three hostages on only the third day of the deal taking effect, and thence "three other detainees every seven days." This means that whereas, in the Israel-backed proposal, all 33 hostages would go free in the course of the first month of the deal, the Hamas schedule means fewer than half of the 33 would be released in the first month.

Furthermore, the Hamas proposal specifies that the first hostages to be released will be "women as much as possible (civilians and female soldiers)." It raises the number of Paleostinian security prisoners to be released in exchange for each of the (believed five) living female Israeli soldiers held hostage from 40 to 50 — including 30 who are serving life terms, where the Israeli offer specified 20 life-termers. And it removes a key clause in the Israel-backed proposal, under which Hamas would be allowed to choose only 20 of the security prisoners to go free in stage one, and Israel would have the right to veto those choices. Rather, it states, the Paleostinian security prisoners will be released "based on lists provided by Hamas."

The accumulated consequence of all those changes is that, in the very first days of the deal, Hamas would be able to secure the release of hundreds of the most dangerous and iconic terror chiefs and murderers, including at least 150 serving life terms, in return for the release of very few of the hostages.

The Hamas proposal also features a clause requiring the release, on the 22nd day of the deal, of "all prisoners from the Shalit deal who have been rearrested."

For Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas chief in Gaza who was himself among the 1,027 Paleostinian security prisoners freed by Israel to secure the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit in 2011, this would plainly constitute the closing of a certain circle — the freeing of the many of his colleagues who returned to terrorism after their spectacularly contentious release 13 years ago but who, unlike him, were recaptured.

Finally, in this regard, a widely reported Israeli demand for the right to veto the return of some West Bank-based Paleostinian security prisoners to the West Bank, but rather to have them instead sent to Gaza or into exile, is absent from the Hamas proposal.

Why does all this matter?

WEST BANK PRIMACY
The nightly release during November’s weeklong hostage deal of dozens of Paleostinian security prisoners prompted scenes of jubilation in the West Bank. As The Times of Israel reported at the time, "Night after night, dozens of green Hamas banners were waved in front of cameras, and freed prisoners wore them as headbands — even in the streets of Ramallah, the bastion of the Fatah-controlled Paleostinian Authority."

And the security prisoners who were being freed then were women and minors.

By contrast, under the Hamas terms now, dozens upon dozens of prisoners serving lengthy terms and life terms, murderers and mass murderers and terror chiefs — including Marwan Barghouti, the most popular of all Paleostinian security prisoners, who is serving five life terms for orchestrating deadly terror attacks during the Second Intifada, and Ahmad Saadat, serving a 30-year term for organizing the liquidation of tourism minister Rehavam Ze’evi in 2001 — would be coming out of jail. And they would be returning to the West Bank.

Their release, as calculated by Sinwar, would be expected to be perceived by West Bank Paleostinians as an astounding humiliation for Israel, an indictment of the Paleostinian Authority, which had failed to set them free, and a stunning victory for Hamas.

Amid what would be regarded as a vindication of Hamas’s implacable determination to destroy Israel, and as proof of the success of its tactics and its strategy toward that goal, Sinwar would reliably expect the euphoria accompanying the return of the prisoners to cement Hamas as the peerless champion of the Paleostinian cause, fueling soaring support for Hamas in the West Bank and the unification of West Bank Paleostinians behind it, the marginalizing of the already failing PA, and the dawn of a new era of escalated violence and terrorism against Israel.

ABROGATING THE DEAL
At this early stage of the ostensible three-stage, 18-week deal, Hamas would have very little incentive to proceed with the process. It would have precious little left to extract from Israel.

And Israel, crucially, would have very little if any remaining leverage over Hamas.

It would be Hamas’s delighted pleasure to calculate how far to proceed with the deal before abrogating it — with the stated "interconnected" stages of its proposal providing it with numerous opportunities to do so. Hamas would be able to calculate the right moment to halt the hostage releases, and to do so in a way designed to fool as many people as possible into thinking that it was the Israelis who were the rejectionist guilty party — as it did successfully on Monday night when falsely claiming to have accepted a ceasefire agreement.

And Hamas would do so knowing that the US wants the war to stop and stay stopped. The Biden administration has been publicly fuming at Israel for months at the high civilian corpse count in Gaza, and is desperate to secure and maintain a ceasefire amid an election campaign and with huge tensions on and beyond university campuses. Already withholding weaponry from Israel in order to prevent the IDF from tackling Hamas in its last remaining stronghold in Rafah, deeply mistrustful of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his core far-right coalition, the administration would be immensely reluctant to provide diplomatic support and weaponry for a resumed Israeli military campaign.

IN SUMMARY
Under the terms that it has set out, therefore, Hamas expects to survive, rearm and reassert full control in Gaza, and establish primacy in the West Bank. Israel will be under attack on multiple fronts. The ambitious, improbable American vision of an Israel integrated into the region, at peace with Soddy Arabia

UNRWA shuts Jerusalem headquarters after Israelis allegedly set fire in compound
[IsraelTimes] Head of UN agency for Palestinian refugees says facility to remain closed until ’proper security’ restored, accusing armed Israeli extremists of threatening and harassing staff.

The main United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
aid agency for Paleostinians temporarily closed its headquarters in East Jerusalem after Israeli locals set fire to areas at the edge of the sprawling compound, the agency said Thursday. That does send a message.

Philippe Lazzarini, the head of UNWRA, said in a post on the social media platform X that he had decided to close the compound until "proper security" was restored.

He said Thursday’s incident was the second in less than a week.

"This is an outrageous development. Once again, the lives of UN staff were at a serious risk," he said.

Lazzarini described how "a crowd accompanied by gunnies were witnessed outside the compound chanting ’Burn down the United Nations’."

At the time, UNRWA and staff from other UN agencies were in the compound, which contains fuel stations for a fleet of UN cars.

"While there were no casualties among our staff, the fire caused extensive damage to the outdoor areas," Lazzarini said, adding that UNRWA staff had put out the fire themselves.

In footage shared with Lazzarini’s post, smoke can be seen rising near buildings at the edge of the compound while the sound of chanting in Hebrew can be heard.

UNRWA, set up to deal with the Paleostinian refugees who fled or were forced from their homes during the 1948 war around the time of Israel’s creation, has long been a target of Israeli hostility. Calls for it to be shuttered have risen since the agency reported that around a dozen staffers had taken part in the October 7 atrocities, citing Israeli intelligence. The revelation, accompanied by Israeli claims that thousands more staffers have ties to terror groups, re-energized protests against the agency as donors pulled back funding.

An independent review group of UNRWA, led by French former foreign minister Catherine Colonna, found some "neutrality-related issues" but said Israel had yet to provide evidence for its allegation of widespread links to Hamas

and other terror groups.

Lazzarini said Thursday’s attack came after two months of "Israeli faceless myrmidons staging protests outside the UNRWA compound," adding that one protest earlier this week "became violent mostly peaceful when demonstrators threw stones at UN staff and at the buildings of the compound."

"Our compound has been seriously vandalised and damaged. On several occasions, Israeli faceless myrmidons threatened our staff with guns," he charged.

"It is the responsibility of the State of Israel as an occupying power to ensure that United Nations personnel and facilities are protected at all times," he added.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli police.

The Paleostinian Authority condemned the arson attack and urged the international community to take "strict measures" against Israeli "militias."

Jordan also decried the attack, calling for measures to force Israel to "assume its responsibility as the occupying power in Jerusalem" and put an end to the harassment, according to the official news agency Petra.

International-UN-NGOs
Katz denounces UN decision to upgrade Palestinians' status as ‘prize for Hamas'
[IsraelTimes] Foreign Minister Israel Katz calls a decision by the United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
General Assembly to upgrade the status of Paleostinians in the UN a "prize for Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,," in a statement released by his office.

"The absurd decision taken today at the UN General Assembly highlights the structural bias of the UN and the reasons why, under the leadership of UN Secretary-General [Antonio] Guterres, it has turned itself into an irrelevant institution," Katz says.
More from the Times of Israel:
The United Nations General Assembly votes to back a Palestinian bid to become a full UN member by recognizing it as qualified to join and recommending the UN Security Council "reconsider the matter favorably."

The vote by the 193-member General Assembly was a global survey of support for the Palestinian bid to become a full UN member — a move that would effectively recognize a Palestinian state — after the United States vetoed it in the UN Security Council last month.

The assembly adopted a resolution on Friday with 143 votes in favor and nine against, including the US and Israel, while 25 countries abstained. It does not give the Palestinians full UN membership, but simply recognizes them as qualified to join.

The General Assembly resolution "determines that the State of Palestine...should therefore be admitted to membership" and it "recommends that the Security Council reconsider the matter favorably."

An application to become a full UN member first needs to be approved by the 15-member Security Council and then the General Assembly. If the measure is again voted on by the council it is likely to face the same fate: a US veto.

The General Assembly resolution adopted on Friday does give the Palestinians some additional rights and privileges from September 2024 — like a seat among the UN members in the assembly hall — but they will not be granted a vote in the body.

The Palestinians are currently a non-member observer state, a de facto recognition of statehood that was granted by the UN General Assembly in 2012.

IMF doubts Pakistan's repayment capacity as support team arrives in Islamabad
[GEO.TV] The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has claimed that the crisis-hit and cash-strapped Pakistain faces debt-repayment challenges.

The development came hours after an IMF support team reached Pakistain on Friday to hold talks regarding the South Asian nation's request for a fresh bailout package under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

In its staff report on the country issued earlier this month, the Washington-based lender said: "Pakistain’s capacity to repay the fund is subject to significant risks and remains critically dependent on policy implementation and timely external financing."

Israeli PM ready to kill thousands more, Palestinian envoy tells UNGA
[GEO.TV] With Israel all set to invade Rafah, a UN General Assembly (UNGA) session on a resolution about "rights and privileges" for Paleostine that would call on the Security Council to favourably reconsider Paleostine’s request to become the 194th member of the UN has begun, Al Jazeera reported.

Addressing the session, Paleostinian ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour said: "I stand before you as more than 35,000 Paleostinians have been killed, 80,000 have been maimed, two million have been displaced, and everything has been destroyed.

"I stand before you as the Israeli prime minister is ready to kill thousands more to ensure his political survival."

He added: "Your vote today of course says a lot about your solidarity with Paleostine but also about who you are and what you stand for."

What a pity True German Ally is no longer with us. He’d spoken of being moved directly from a Nazi concentration camp to a Soviet stalag in his youth, only years later winning his way back to freedom in West Germany.

The Soviet Army — and Soviet civilians back home — did not die for the sake and saving of Europe’s Jews, and they’d have been furious at the suggestion that there was any reason they should do so, brutalized as they’d been for two decades by Soviet brutality on a similar scale on one hand and the similar level of societal antisemitism on the other hand.

Military correspondent Kots on the activation of the Russian Armed Forces in the Khar'kov direction
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

As Colonel Douglas McGregor said, the Russians will start on Khar'kov first
.
[Regnum] The Russian military conducted massive shelling of targets in the Kharkov region at night, military correspondent Alexander Kots reported on May 10 in the Telegram channel.

According to him, “the border area has been in motion since the night,” subscribers from the Belgorod region told about this. The Russian Armed Forces fired from “all possible calibers” and used aircraft and missiles.

There are reports of the liberation of populated areas and movement towards Kharkov, Kots added and warned against confidence in “quick victories”.

“Hard combat work lies ahead. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for our people,” the military correspondent wrote.

As Regnum reported, earlier the coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, Sergei Lebedev, informed about the strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on ammunition warehouses and the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine personnel in Kharkov and the Kharkov region. According to the underground, explosions occurred in the west of Kharkov at 03:20 and 03:50. Ambulances arrived in this part of the city.

Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing ten new brigades for the Russian offensive
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are creating ten new brigades to prepare for the Russian offensive. This was announced by the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Alexander Pavlyuk, in an interview with The Economist.

“One of the most urgent tasks facing the general is the creation of ten new brigades to prepare for the Russian offensive,” Pavlyuk said.

At the same time, it is noted that Pavlyuk insists that the main vulnerability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the lack of military equipment, and not manpower.

As Regnum reported, on April 18, the British magazine The Economist wrote that the Russian military is easily approaching the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are unable to repel them. The author of the article noted that the attempts of the Ukrainian army to build defense lines may be in vain, because the Russian Armed Forces continue to strike and advance against it.

Politico writer Jamie Dettmer wrote on April 17 that Kiev is sliding towards disaster due to the lack of Western assistance, shortages of ammunition, losses and a drop in the morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also complained that in Ukrainian cities the queues of people wishing to join the army, which were observed at the beginning of the conflict, have disappeared.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said on April 19 that the special operation continues and its goals have not changed, despite the fact that the Western countries that are actually parties to the conflict are constantly changing and expanding the modalities of participation in it.

The critical phase and new brigades. Forecasts from the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The critical phase of the war may come in the next two months, predicts the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Pavlyuk, gave an interview to The Economist , in which he assessed the situation at the front and made predictions about the development of the situation in the future.

TIME X
Pavlyuk noted that the enemy is using all its combat-ready equipment at the front to test Ukrainian troops, which are already exhausted and insufficiently supplied. The critical phase of the war, he said, could come in the next two months.

“Russia knows if we get enough weapons within a month or two, the situation could turn against them,” Pavlyuk said.

According to him, Ukraine immediately needs to strengthen its air defense. He stressed that the arrival of F-16 fighters in early June will be an important psychological stimulus.

However, it is not yet known whether Ukraine will receive newer versions of the F-16 needed to counter Russian bombers. Enemy aircraft remain at a distance, beyond the range of Ukrainian air defenses, dropping heavy guided bombs on forward positions at a rate of up to 130 bombs per day.

HOT SPOTS
The commander of the Ground Forces believes that Russia will continue to focus on the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, which are already bearing the brunt of the war. But intelligence confirms that Russian troops will soon stretch their defenses, attacking the northeastern regions of the Kharkov and Sumy regions.

“Russia is testing the stability of our lines before choosing the most suitable direction,” says Pavlyuk.

In his opinion, the loss of Chasovoy Yar would not be decisive, since it is “an ordinary urban settlement.” In addition, the commander commented on the attacks in the Ocheretino area, near Avdeevka, rejecting statements about possible misunderstandings that led to the loss of positions.

He attributed this to the crazy pressure, the Russian air superiority and the artillery ratio, which reached 20 to 1. Along the entire front line, Russian guns fire seven times more shells than Ukrainian ones.

HOW WILL UKRAINE RESPOND?
Pavlyuk said that Ukraine is now preparing at least ten new brigades to prepare for the offensive of the Russian army. Some of them are deployed to protect Kyiv.

According to the general, the Russians still have not given up their ideas of capturing Kyiv.

'Defending Kyiv remains one of our main tasks, no matter how dire the situation in the east is. This is the heart of Ukraine, and we know that the defense of the capital will play a key role in the future,” he emphasized.

At the same time, Pavlyuk insists that the main problem now is technology, not people. According to him, Ukraine desperately needs artillery and armored vehicles.

There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups in the south — Defense Forces
In the southern direction, the situation remains unchanged.

by Ivanna Kapustyanska

No new hostile offensive groups have yet been observed in the south of Ukraine. The situation in this direction remains stable.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, announced this on the air of the telethon, writes RBC-Ukraine.

"The situation remains unchanged, we do not see any signs of the formation of offensive groups, as well as a change in the condition and position of the enemy in our direction," Pletenchuk said.

The spokesman adds that the enemy continues active assault operations on all areas of the southern front of Ukraine, using drones and carrying out attacks.

"They continue their attempts to carry out assault actions on virtually all areas of the front. In our operational zone, these are Robotyne and Krynky. We will have full information about these events later," said the spokesman.

Yesterday, the Russians made 21 unsuccessful assault attempts.

"We entered Robotyn, there were five assaults, but they were forced to leave the battlefield due to losses. There were 14 assaults in Starobilsky, and two in Kryny," Pletenchuk added.

During the past day, 95 combat clashes took place at the front. The enemy continues active assault operations in the Donetsk direction, there are 60 attacks per day.

Voloshyn: Russia is trying to force the Armed Forces to withdraw its forces from Donbass to the Kharkiv direction
The Russians are trying to sow panic among Ukrainians with the help of information leaks.

by Ivanna Kapustyanska

Russia, with the help of disinformation, is trying to sow panic among Ukrainians and force Ukrainian troops to withdraw forces and resources from the Donetsk direction to the Kharkiv direction.

This was reported by the spokesman of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of troops, Nazar Voloshyn, writes LIGA.net.

"The enemy is making efforts, including in the information space, to provoke panic and force us to withdraw forces and resources from Donetsk and Luhansk regions to Kharkiv region," he said.

Voloshyn emphasized that the Defense Forces are ready for enemy provocations, the situation is currently under control.

It is worth noting that the Kremlin set a "deadline" for the Russian army to capture Chasov Yar by May 9 . However, the enemy failed to implement the plans of the top leadership of Moscow. The Disinformation Center urges citizens to trust only official sources.

"As a rule, when active actions continue, the situation in the areas changes many times during the day. The picture is dynamic, only official sources have full information," emphasized Andriy Kovalenko, head of the CPD.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed that around 5 a.m. the enemy tried to break through the defense line . The defenders did not lose a single meter of our land. They repulsed the offensive, but battles of varying intensity continue. Additional reserves were sent for the defenders.

Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv OVA, reported on the mass shelling of Kharkiv region , as well as the activation of enemy DRGs in the north of the region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted a new offensive of the enemy on the border with the Kharkiv region . Fighting of varying intensity continues there.

Ground Forces Commander Oleksandr Pavlyuk believes that Russia will continue to focus on Luhansk and Donetsk, the eastern regions that have borne the brunt of the war. But intelligence suggests that Russian troops will soon strengthen their defenses, attacking the northeastern districts of Kharkiv and Sumy.

More from Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
Kharkov direction. 05/10/2024
About the situation in the north of the Kharkov region.

As of the evening of May 10, the Russian Armed Forces liberated 5 border villages (the territory is being cleared) and more than 40 square kilometers of territory in the north of the Kharkov region. Active operations with the support of artillery and aviation continue. The assault groups are followed by reinforcement groups.

Occupying these areas will certainly reduce the enemy’s ability to shell the border areas of the Belgorod region. Today the enemy continued shelling - 17 Vampire MLRS missiles were shot down + several drones. Our troops have not yet reached

the main defensive positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ( https://t.me/boris_rozhin/123204 ) in the north of the Kharkov region. So “defense breakthroughs” and “throws on Kharkov” are not yet about current events. In fact, this is still a cleansing of border areas where the enemy does not have strong defensive positions and testing the enemy’s capabilities near the border of the Belgorod region.

Adds Rozhin:
Regarding the advance itself, the enemy claims that he has already lost 4-5 villages on the border and 30 square kilometers of territory.
On our part, the Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet confirmed the offensive and liberation of the villages.

The main defensive positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are located 5-10 km south of the border.

Offensive Or Not Offensive? We All Catch Every Word About The Situation In The Zone Of Course, We Would Like To See Our Successful Active Actions, We Wait, Watch - The Homeland Will Definitely Know Everything
Why shake up the information field? Activation? Yes, I have. The main criterion for success is the appearance of the names of new villages and townsin combat reports from us and from the enemy. At one time there was the “eternal” Marinka and the “endless” Avdeevka. Now there are a lot of other names.

Anyone who follows the changing situation with a map of the NWO zone in their hands understands perfectly well: we have become more active in the north of the Kharkov region (as many as three directions), in the south of this region (Kupyansk). We are driving the enemy out of Donbass in the Donetsk direction.

But the Russian General Staff has become a hundred times more sophisticated; we cannot talk about any obvious directions for the main attacks. Now our troops do not gather in lava, our commanders no longer drive columns of smart vehicles (there are many more of them).

Our desired operational goal is to break the enemy’s resistance, push through the defensive formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and flee and panic the Ukrainian military. And this will definitely happen.

Lukashenko relieves Gulevich from the post of Belarusian Chief of General Staff
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko relieved Major General Viktor Gulevich from the post of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - First Deputy Minister of Defense, Lukashenko’s press service reported.

Gulevich was transferred from military service to the reserve due to age.

The major general retained the right to wear a military uniform and insignia, the press service noted.

As Regnum reported, in May 2023, Lukashenko appointed Konstantin Molostov as the new chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus. In this post, Molostov replaced Anatoly Lappo, who was transferred from military service to the reserve. Prior to this appointment, the new head of the State Border Committee of the republic held the position of head of the Grodno border group.

In February 2023, Lukashenko appointed Pavel Muraveiko as First Deputy Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus. Lukashenko in his comment noted the outstanding “combat” qualities of Muraveiko. Before his appointment, he held the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff - Head of the Main Operations Directorate of the Armed Forces of Belarus.

In April 2024, delegates of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly approved the country's new military doctrine. The doctrine remains defensive in nature, noted the Belarusian Ministry of Defense. The General Staff of the Republic, in turn, reported that, according to the new military doctrine, Minsk will consider aggression against a state allied with Belarus as an attack on itself.

All US military personnel have been ordered to leave Niger, media reports
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Pentagon has ordered the full withdrawal of American troops from Niger over the next few months, Politico newspaper writes on May 10.

“The Department of Defense has ordered approximately 1,000 US troops in Niger to leave the country over the next few months,” a US official told the publication.

As Regnum reported, in March the Niger authorities terminated the military agreement with the United States, which allowed American military personnel to remain in the country. Niger's Interior Minister Mohamed Toumba said the country is interested in the Russian military training its troops.

On May 3, Reuters, citing a Pentagon representative, reported that Russian military personnel entered the air base in Niamey. On the same day, a source in the security forces of the African state clarified that the US military had declared increased combat readiness due to the deployment of Russian troops in Niger.

On May 8, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said at a hearing in the Appropriations Committee of the US Senate that Washington would have to withdraw all its troops from Niger.

The United States tried to the last to maintain a military presence in Niger, and the authorities in Niamey had to begin deploying the Russian contingent before the Pentagon removed its personnel. At the same time, with the departure of the Americans, it is likely that Niger’s military cooperation with Russia will further deepen. Ivan Loshkarev, a researcher at the Center for the Study of Political Elites at the Institute of International Studies at MGIMO, shared this opinion with a Regnum correspondent.

Kunstler Gold:"None of these dishonest persuasions work anymore, and all of the persuasion machinery stands in plain sight like so many nauseating carnival rides."
The miasma of anxiety befogging so many brains in our troubled land begins to lift as every narrative served up by the US fascist intel blob goes annoyingly stale and impotent. The worst media meme — that a vicious officialdom is “defending our democracy” — gets laughed out of the room now when repeated incessantly by such shills as Jen Psaki and Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC. Everybody understands they want to “defend our democracy” by cancelling your freedom of speech, pounding you into bankruptcy, and stealing whatever remains of your stuff.

Likewise, everything else, namely: that our doings in Ukraine are a “fight for freedom,” that “white supremacy” lurks just out of sight getting ready to pounce on the “marginalized” (who are actually running things, and doing it very badly), that “Joe Biden” turned around the economy, that “voting rights” equals non-citizens getting to vote, that election fraud is a “big lie” (and that the J-6 riot over it was an “insurrection”), and that the Covid vaccines were “safe and effective.”

None of these dishonest persuasions work anymore, and all of the persuasion machinery stands in plain sight like so many nauseating carnival rides. One by one, the rides are flying apart, scattering debris and body parts of the poor slobs who were on the rides all over the fairgrounds. And so, the fear rises in the ones running the carnival. Cops shoot dead decorated airman, 23, after forcing their way into wrong apartment
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Bodycam footage of the moment a 23-year-old airman was killed at his home after police allegedly forced their way into the wrong apartment and shot him has now been released

A 23-year-old airman was shot dead by a cop at his home while on FaceTime after a neighbor reported hearing someone being slapped.

Bodycam footage shows the moments leading up to US Air Force Senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23, being killed last Friday afternoon.

A neighbor describes a disturbance to the officer as she leads him through the apartment building. She tells the sheriff's office cop a fight had gotten 'out of hand' in one of the apartments - and described hearing a slap.

When asked what room the alleged fight took place in, the woman responded '1401'. The law enforcement officer confirmed with the woman that he was going to the fourth floor before riding the elevator up to Fortson's off-base residence at an apartment complex on 319 Racetrack Road in Okaloosa County, Florida.

Upon arriving at the the door of an apartment, the officer knocked once - and then again, saying 'Sheriff's office. Open the door' twice. As the door opened, the sheriff ordered 'step back' and 'do not move.' The officer then fired six rapid shots that sent the 23-year-old stumbling to the ground.

A witness, who was on FaceTime with Fortson during the time of the shooting, claimed Fortson heard a knock at the door and asked who was there. According to the witness, when he did not receive a response but heard another 'very aggressive knock,' Fortson peered through the peephole - but did not see anyone and grew concerned.

Out of concern, Fortson retrieved a gun - which he owned legally, according to the witness. When he returned to his living room with the gun, authorities allegedly pushed through his door and shot him six times.

The traumatized witness, who remained on the FaceTime call for the duration of the horrifying shooting, recalled that Fortson said 'I can't breathe,' after the shots were fired. Fortson later died at the hospital.

The deputy involved in the incident has since been placed on administrative leave while the shooting continues to be investigated.

The 23-year old was based at the Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida. He entered active duty on Nov. 19, 2019. He was assigned to the 4th Special Operations Squadron as a special missions aviator, where one of his roles as a member of the squadron's AC-130J Ghostrider aircrew was to load the gunship's 30mm and 105mm cannons during missions.

Fortson's mother, Meka Fortson, said that it had always been a dream of her son to service his country and that he had wanted to become a pilot.

'It's a disbelief. Every day, I try to go to sleep early to wake up like it's a dream,' she told Military.com.

'He just came back from deployment from fighting for us. With everything we got going on in our country, he's fighting for us and he came back to be murdered, slain like that so violently.'

'He was my gift, and they took my gift away,' Roger's mother said. 'And they didn't give it to me. God gave me that gift ... and they took my gift away.'

A similar incident happened involving the same sheriff's office back in November - in which the officer shot an unarmed and handcuffed man after he mistook the sound of a falling acorn for a gunshot, according to The Washington Post.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Chilling warning from Border Patrol agent as he claims 'cartels control the border' NOT the US government
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The agent said that border patrol has been defunded and overwhelmed

  • Migrant numbers have exploded as organized crime has obtained more power

  • READ MORE: Chinese migrants using Mexican IDs supplied by Mexican drug cartels to aid passage to US

As previously reported by DailyMail.com, cartels have been recruiting American soldiers to smuggle migrants into the US in a worrying new trend. So far, two have been arrested for participating in the illegal people smuggling

Cartels are also believed to be providing Mexican IDs to Chinese nationals hoping to cross the border into the US. It is thought the IDs are being made and sold by cartels so that migrants travelling to the US from Asia and elsewhere can pass checks by Mexican police as they travel through the country. The documents are then destroyed or discarded by migrants as they cross the US border, making it harder for authorities to identify them and easing their path to asylum.

San Diego has seen more than double the amount of Chinese nationals cross its border in the first half of this fiscal year than in all of 2023.

Most fly into Tijuana before paying cartels up to $35,000 to get them to the US.

Migrant arrests in San Diego reached 8,989 for the week ending April 16, according to figures the agency posted on X. Meanwhile, Tucson — which previously had been the top region for crossings — had 7,500 arrests for the week ending April 19.

Recent data shows the migrant crisis is shifting west to border states like Arizona and California amid a crack down in Texas by Republican Governor Greg Abbott.

Mexican authorities have also tightened security on their side of the Texan border.

The volume of migrants arriving is overwhelming resources in San Diego, with officials reporting that up to 1,000 people a day are being released at city train and bus stops.

Crossings in the sector rose from 31,562 in February to 33,784 in March, although this total was down slightly from the 34,371 migrants who entered San Diego in December.

Shots fired at Border Patrol agents investigated as ‘assault on a federal officer': FBI

[FoxNews] U.S. Border Patrol agents came under fire while working on the southern border from gunmen operating inside Mexico, according to various officials.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed to Fox News that shots were fired from the Mexican side of the El Paso, Texas sector on Wednesday afternoon. The CBP said that agents were involved in a "use of force incident while responding to reports of shots fired near the border in the Ysleta Station area of responsibility in Texas." Sources confirmed that CBP agents returned fire.

The FBI later confirmed the shooting in a statement to Fox News, saying it happened "by the Ysleta USBP Station – Lopez Gate" and that their agents are investigating it as an "assault on federal agents."

"FBI El Paso was notified of the May 8th shooting that occurred by the Ysleta USBP Station – Lopez Gate. The FBI El Paso Violent Crime Task Force and the FBI Evidence Recovery Team were deployed to collect evidence at the crime scene.," the FBI said. "The FBI El Paso’s Violent Crime Task Force is working closely with the U.S. Custom and Border Protection’s Office of Professional Responsibility on this assault on a federal officer investigation. As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details may be given at this time."

CBP said that no agents were injured during the incident and that an investigation is underway.

Fifth Column
Police dismantle anti-Israel encampment at MIT, begin clearing at other campuses
[IsraelTimes] Police in riot gear also clear out encampments at Penn and University of Arizona; MIT president says encampment ’no longer safely sustainable’

Police early Friday dismantled a pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel tent encampment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and moved to clear protesters from the University of Pennsylvania’s campus in Philadelphia, just hours after police tear-gassed protesters and took down an encampment at the University of Arizona.

In Cambridge, Massachusetts, video showed police roaming through the MIT encampment and organizers said about 10 students were tossed into the calaboose. Police in riot gear arrived around 4 a.m., encircled the camp and gave protesters about 15 minutes to leave. A crowd outside the camp began gathering and chanting pro-Paleostinian slogans but was dispersed by 6 a.m.

At the University of Arizona, campus police in riot gear fired tear gas late Thursday at protesters before tearing down an encampment that included wood and plastic barriers on campus. In a statement, the University of Arizona said it made the decision because the encampment violated school policy.

"A structure made from wooden pallets and other debris was erected on campus property after 5 p.m. in violation of the policy," the school said in a statement. "University officials issued warnings to remove the encampment and disperse. The warnings were ignored."

The school also said that police vehicles were spiked, and rocks and water bottles thrown at officers and university staff.

In Philadelphia early Friday, police detained people who were at an encampment that has been in place at the University of Pennsylvania’s campus for more than two weeks. Officers moved in after giving pro-Paleostinian protesters a warning to leave campus or face possible arrest.

Tensions have ratcheted up in standoffs with protesters on campuses across the United States and increasingly in Europe. Some colleges cracked down immediately, while others have tolerated the demonstrations. Some have begun to lose patience and call in the police over concerns about disruptions to campus life and safety.

The pro-Paleostinian protest movement began nearly three weeks ago at Columbia University in New York City. It has since swept college campuses nationwide, with more than 2,500 people arrested.

The move at MIT comes several days after police first attempted to clear the encampment only to see protesters storm past barriers and restore the encampment, which includes about a dozen tents in the heart of the campus in Cambridge.

Before removing the encampment, MIT earlier in the week had started suspending dozens of students involved in the encampment, meaning they wouldn’t be able to take part in academic activities or commencement.

Protesters insisted the move would not stop them from demanding that MIT end all ties to the Israeli military.

"This is only going to make us stronger. They can’t arrest the movement," Quinn Perian, an undergraduate student at MIT and organizer for MIT Jews for Ceasefire, said. "We are going to continue and won’t back down until MIT agrees to cut ties with the Israeli military. MIT would rather arrest and suspend some students than they would end their complicity with the genocide going on in Gazoo

It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The encampment had been up for at least two weeks and especially angered Jewish students, who have held counter-protests nearby. They covered a lawn with small Israeli flags and put up posters of some of the people kidnapped by Lions of Islam during the October 7 attack in which some 1,200 people were killed, mostly civilians, and 252 were kidnapped.

MIT President Sally Kornbluth, working to strike a balance between recognizing the suffering in Gaza with concerns about the "safety of our community," warned Monday the encampment would have to be removed.

"This prolonged use of MIT property as a venue for protest, without permission, especially on an issue with such sharp disagreement, is no longer safely sustainable," she wrote to the MIT community.

Anti-Israel protesters have contested that their movement, which calls for universities to disclose investments in Israeli companies and divest from them, is peaceful and not antisemitic. Many Jewish students, however, have reported being harassed, and chants calling for the elimination of Israel are often heard.

Question: Who to pander to for votes?
Given the upcoming election, the O'Biden Regime is faced with this serious political dilemma.

The Islamic's, with their Hamas and DEATH TO AMERICA Supporters only represent just around 1% or 1.1 million registered voters in the United States.

Maybe they are counting on the 34% agnostic, atheist, LSD and Illegal Immigrants voters? Which when combined is around 56.5 million voters.

However, The Judeo-Christian's still represents well over 59% of the registered voters. Which is around 97.3 million voters.

One thing is for sure.
It's going to take a bigger panic and a lot more Voter Fraud this time, to pull it off.

The results of Nov. 5th will tell.

New Russian prime minister Mishustin announces the need to deploy a new model of economic growth
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Try getting the fuck outta the way.

[Regnum] The government needs to deploy a new model of economic growth based on the further formation of supply-side economics, said on May 10. O. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a speech in the State Duma.

The authorities will seek to increase citizens' incomes, he said.

“The President has set a serious task: by 2030, Russia should become one of the four largest economies in the world in terms of purchasing power parity. It is necessary not only to increase the gross output of goods and services. Growth must be accompanied by an increase in people’s income levels,” Mishustin noted.
All worthy goals. Whether they’re doable by Russians in Russia, given the current climate, is the question. There’s no questions Russians can work hard, when they beleve their effort will be rewarded…
The volume of non-resource, non-energy exports of Russia should increase by two-thirds, and agricultural products by one and a half times, said the acting director. O. premiere.

“When increasing production volumes, we must take into account that new products need markets. Not only within the country, but also abroad. It is necessary to increase the volume of exports of non-resource and non-energy goods by at least two-thirds. And the supply of agricultural products is one and a half times,” he noted.

In the four years since the formation of the government in its current composition, the Cabinet of Ministers has been able to significantly increase the efficiency of the state apparatus and improve the coordination of the branches of government, Mishustin also said.

As Regnum reported, earlier on May 10, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced that President Vladimir Putin had nominated Mishustin for the post of prime minister. Voting on the issue of approving Mishustin’s candidacy will take place after his report, questions from deputies and speeches from representatives of political factions.

The speaker recalled that the State Duma will form the government for the first time in the modern history of Russia. Deputies will have to approve the candidacies of the prime minister, his deputies, and federal ministers in accordance with the new powers established by amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 2020.

The Russian government in its entirety resigned before President Vladimir Putin took office on May 7. The Cabinet of Ministers headed by Mishustin worked for more than four years. Putin thanked the ministers for their work and instructed the outgoing government to work until a new cabinet of ministers is formed.

ese army, backed by various armed movements, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State. The intense fighting, involving a wide range of weaponry, resulted in numerous civilian deaths and injuries.

A senior commander in the joint forces told Sudan Tribune that their troops launched a surprise attack on RSF positions in al-Manhal School, al-Borsa, and the al-Kahraba neighbourhood. "We inflicted heavy losses on their personnel and military vehicles, forcing them to retreat," he said.

The attack was initiated after receiving intelligence indicating that the RSF had completed preparations to attack El Fasher from the east, bolstered by thousands of fighters and militias from Arab tribes across Darfur.

In contrast, a field commander from the RSF claimed their forces managed to deliver a significant defeat to the army and its allied armed movements.

By Friday evening, the joint forces reported that the RSF had suffered severe losses in both equipment and personnel.

The joint forces’ statement noted that the battles raged for ten hours, during which they managed to capture several vehicles and forced the RSF to flee.

Eyewitnesses described intense ground festivities in the neighbourhoods of al-Safa, al-Jeel, and Factories, where heavy weapons were used, resulting in multiple casualties. Victims were transported to al-Fasher Southern Hospital.

Residents accused the RSF of bombing populated neighbourhoods in the west of the city, causing significant damage to homes and targeting al-Fasher Children’s Hospital with artillery shells, prompting patients to flee the facility.

Pro-army social media pages shared videos showing citizens celebrating with army soldiers, displaying three vehicles seized in the day’s battles.

14:48 Telegram channel “Fisherman":

Slobozhansky direction: reconnaissance in force in the north of the Kharkov region, situation as of 13.00 May 10, 2024

Due to the fact that in the Russian Telegram (at the suggestion of Ukrainian sources) jingoistic sentiments have already begun to disperse, it is necessary to talk about what is happening in the north of the Kharkov region: moreover, to speak in a balanced way, without running ahead of the locomotive and without echoing the various information dumps that rushed to write about the scale of promotion.

At night, the Sever group of troops and units stationed along the old Russian border began to launch massive attacks on planned targets using cannon and rocket artillery, mortars, and using the allocated aviation resource of the Russian Aerospace Forces in this area.

The purpose of fire destruction is to reduce the enemy’s defensive capabilities, as well as to destroy long-term firing points.

At the same time, advanced groups began clearing the front line. Due to the fact that previously Ukraine and Russia were a single space, in most places one settlement flows into another, and the border for a long time was very arbitrary. Therefore, military operations in the frontline zone began to be classified as a large-scale offensive - this is somewhat incorrect. It was about reconnaissance in force, which was carried out and carried out successfully.

If you look at the map, the battle zone has been expanded to a depth of 2-3 kilometers in some areas. It is too early to talk about the full transition of border villages under the control of the Russian army.

As a result of hostilities in the border area over the past year, the same settlement. Strelechya is a bare field. Until the fighting north of Kharkov approaches at least Liptsy, it is extremely premature to talk about the capture of villages and towns.

Therefore, combat operations in the border areas are primarily dashes through the ruins and strongholds of the enemy.

The accent on Volchansk is noticeable to the naked eye. Volchansk is one of the enemy’s main transshipment bases; logistics are being built through it east of the Seversky Donets. The city plays an important role in the defense of the northeast of the Kharkov region. Local authorities have already announced the start of evacuation from the locality.

They are working in Volchansk and the surrounding area, and they are working systematically: footage of the destruction of the bridge over the Volchya River has been published. The interfluve area is important for facilitating combat operations near Kupyansk and possible breaching of enemy defenses in the east of the Kharkov region.

Due to the fact that the North group of troops began the task of creating a buffer zone, an unprecedented revival began on the Internet, fueled not only by the enemy along the TsIPsO line, but also by Russian hype-eaters and jingoists. The enemy takes advantage of this: you can always declare the next village “virtually” taken by the Russians liberated by imprinting the Ukrainian flag there.

13:04 Statement by the head of the press center of the Vostok group -video.

Units of the Vostok group of troops continue to carry out combat missions in the special military operation zone.

During active operations, the group's units improved the position along the front line, repelled a counterattack by the assault group of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade in the Staromayorsky area, and thwarted attempts by the enemy to reinforce forward positions in the areas of Makarovka, Ravnopol, Nikolsky, Ugledar and Gulyai-Polye.

Air strikes, artillery fire, and heavy flamethrower systems hit strongholds and gathering places of manpower and equipment of the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade in the Urozhainy and Makarovka regions.

Over the course of 24 hours, up to 175 enemy military personnel, two T-64 tanks, two American-made M113 armored personnel carriers, two 122mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mounts, an FH-70 towed howitzer, three units of automotive equipment and five ammunition supply points were destroyed.

12:23 Statement by the head of the press center of the “South” group -video.

Units of the “Southern” group of forces successfully repelled an attack by the assault group of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade in the Krasnoye area.

As a result of active actions, they occupied more advantageous positions and inflicted fire on the 23, 33 Mechanized, 79 Air Assault brigades, and 111 Territorial Defense brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Elizavetovka, Novy and Pobeda.

The enemy in the Donetsk direction lost up to 215 military personnel wounded and killed.

Anti-tank guided missile systems and loitering ammunition hit two armored personnel carriers, including an M113, and two cars.

During the counter-battery fight, a 155mm American M777 howitzer, four 152mm D-20 howitzers, and two 122mm D-30 howitzers were destroyed.

11:55 From 0400 hrs today. Our army started an assault in the Volchansk region! Enemy resources confirm.

11:24 Yuzhnodonetsk direction. District settlement Krasnogorovka.

Reported about the new advance of our motorized rifles in the village of Krasnogorovka. The fighting is taking place closer to the northern border of the settlement.

In addition, the work of our front-line aviation Su-25M, which is actively using NURs on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is also reported.

10:33 Telegram channel “Fisherman":

Avdeevsk direction: advance of the RF Armed Forces in Uman.

In recent days, in the Avdeevsky direction, Russian troops have been actively trying to develop successes in several sectors at once, including those that were covered for some time in the “fog of war.”

During the day, footage of the flag being hoisted over the memorial in the center of the northern part of Umansky appeared on the Internet. And already towards the end there were reports of the complete liberation of the village, although there is no reliable confirmation of this information yet.

At the same time, between Umansky and Orlovka, south of the S051801 highway, there is a fortified area about two kilometers long. Taking into account the configuration of the front line, it is highly likely that it also came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces - without its capture, going to Umanskoye would have been quite a difficult task.

To the south, in Netailovo, a decrease in the concentration of enemy manpower was noticed - it is still difficult to say whether this is due to the lack of reinforcements or the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the latest information, Russian troops are engaged in heavy fighting in the center of the village.

In the northern sector in the Arkhangelsk region, units of the Russian Armed Forces are strengthening their positions on previously occupied lines, continuing to clear the area to the west of the settlement. There were no attempts to counterattack the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the day.

"We have seen these reports on alleged prisoner abuse at this prison. It’s deeply concerning, very troubling," White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby says in a briefing.

"We are reaching out to our Israeli counterparts to get more information here about these allegations and our expectation is that we’ll get good answers here...Our expectations are of the highest standard when it comes to the treatment of prisoners," Kirby adds.

It could be fear. They didn't expect so much criticism of the weapons backstab. So now it's "we were right to deny Israel weapons - they are devil incarnate."

Biden administration granted sanctions relief to Arab nations just before president's Israel aid threat
[FOX] The Biden administration told Congress it would waive sanctions on military sales to several Middle Eastern nations the day before President Biden himself publicly declared that the U.S. would not give Israel offensive aid if it invaded Rafah.

Some of those countries have been accused playing an active role in the proliferation of Hamas and other terror groups intent on wiping Israel off the map.

The State Department sent Congress a notification on Tuesday that it would extend existing sanctions waivers for Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen Libya, Qatar and Saudi Arabia through April 30, 2025, according to a copy of the notice obtained by Fox News Digital on Friday.

Biden made the high-stakes ultimatum to Israel's government in a CNN interview that aired Wednesday night as it prepares for a ground invasion of the southern Gaza city of Rafah. The city is currently home to more than a million Palestinians who left other parts of the Gaza Strip, where Israel has conducted its mission to eradicate the terrorist group Hamas.

President Biden said Israel would continue to see U.S. support for its defensive systems, like the Iron Dome, in the CNN interview. He added, however, that "if they go into Rafah, I'm not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, that deal with that problem."

The day before, however, the administration appears to have quietly greenlit the sale of "defense articles or defense services" to countries the U.S. previously accused of engaging in anti-Israel boycotts, according to the document.

Under current law the president is allowed to implement and extend sanctions waivers on Arab nations boycotting Israel if the waiver "is in the national interest of the United States" and if the U.S. deems the waiver "objectives of eliminating the Arab League boycott."

The notice was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.

#1  I saw excerpts from the State Department's report this morning on CNN and Fox (I am a captive audience at the gym.) I don't think I have ever seen more weasel words in my life.

Quite a far cry from Jesus' exhortation to "let your yes be yes and your no be no." More like T. S. Eliot's "In a minute there is time for decisions and revisions which a mdinute will reverse."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Two civilians killed in Israeli strike on Tayrharfa
[An Nahar] Two civilians, a first responder from Amal's Risala rescue group and a telecoms technician doing maintenance work, were killed Friday in an Israeli dronezap on the southern border town of Tayrharfa, as cross-border hostilities intensified.

A Risala Scout association rescuer and a technician from Power Tec, which undertakes maintenance work for private mobile service provider MTC Touch, were killed "as a result of the Israeli aggression on Tayrharfa", Leb
...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
's National News Agency said.

Workers from MTC Touch and the Ogero telecom provider were carrying out "maintenance on the transmission poles", the NNA said, adding they had sought permission from the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, or UNIFIL.

The Risala Scout association affiliated with the Amal movement, which operates rescue teams in south Lebanon, said the rescuer was killed when his team went to a location that had come under Israeli bombardment.

"The second strike came quickly, and one of the young men was martyred," a source from the association told AFP.

A source within MTC Touch said the strike hit a team that had been doing maintenance work in Tayrharfa.

"We lost communications with them because the station was hit," the source told AFP, requesting anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

"There were people from our team and from another company that does maintenance work for us, and there were also paramedics," the source added.

Israeli jets and drones had targeted Yaroun and Tayr Harfa as Israeli artillery shelled the southern border towns of al-Khiam and Blida and the town of al-Odaisseh with phosphorus bombs.

Hezbollah for its part targeted Friday a group of soldiers in the al-Malkia post and surveillance equipment in Misgav Am in northern Israel.

Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
Hamas said it ambushed Israeli tanks near a mosque in the east of the city, a sign the Israelis had penetrated several kilometres from the east to the outskirts of the built-up area.

Israel has ordered civilians out of the eastern half of Rafah, forcing tens of thousands of people to seek shelter outside the city, previously the last refuge of more than a million who fled other parts of the enclave during the war.

Israel says it cannot win the war without assaulting Rafah to root out thousands of Hamas fighters it believes are sheltering there. Hamas says it will fight to defend it. Aid agencies say the battle puts hundreds of thousands of already displaced civilians in harm's way.

"It is not safe, all of Rafah isn't safe as tank shells landed everywhere since yesterday," Abu Hassan, 50, a resident of Tel al-Sultan west of Rafah told Rooters via a chat app.

"I am trying to leave but I can't afford 2,000 shekels to buy a tent for my family," he said. "There is an increased movement of people out of Rafah even from the western areas, though they were not designated as red zones by the occupation.
