[The South African] I have been a member since July 2014 and as a loyal cadre have been operational where the party has deployed me without question - in the kitchen of Luthuli House, cooking for reconciliation.
Dear Comrades
I am not writing this in my personal capacity as a gogo, a citizen and a democrat, but as a member of the ANC.
I have been a member since July 2014 and as a loyal cadre have been operational where the party has deployed me without question - in the kitchen of Luthuli House [ANC Headquarters]
, cooking for reconciliation. I asked a simple question: ’What do people think of when they see a fat politician in parliament?’ They immediately think of a thin voter. And many ANC voters are poorer and thinner than ever before. All Julius Malema has to do this 2019 General Election is promise them everything and anything and they will vote him and his party into power democratically. I was supported by Pravin Gordhan and the treasury to put the cabinet on a diet. The diet has worked. Members of cabinet were seen recently fitting into economy-class seats on SAA.
The results of the municipal elections were not unexpected. What was remarkable was the brilliant performance of the IEC and the mass of voters who proved that they have learned a lot in the last 21 years. The fact that we in the ANC conceded defeat where we lost ground is also a good indication of a free and fair election. But my life in the kitchen has become hard to bear. From mid-morning to late at night, streams of comrades slip in under the pretext of asking for a bottle of still water. They just sit and shake their heads. They need, not only comfort food after the election results, but also comforting advice from someone who has seen it all before. Hopefully we'll have a few comrades 'shaking their heads' here after November as well.
I was a faithful cadre in the Afrikaanse Nasionale Kongres, also known as the National Party. My husband was a cabinet minister only promoted because of his slavish devotion to he whom we called Number One. We all became fat, rewarded for nodding in agreement without question and allowing the corrupt to overpower the committed. It was easy then because we called corruption ’policy’ and it ruled the country from 1948 to 1994.
[PJ] This war has gone on for a very long time, and last Sunday, the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 jihad attacks, among all the reminiscences, and eulogies, and encomia, virtually no one attempted to explain why.
There’s a simple reason this topic wasn’t discussed: among our political and media "elites," no one knows the answer.
Even the most dire estimates of exactly how long this is going to take have fallen wide of the mark. General Petraeus said in 2010 that it could take another ten years to defeat the Afghan "insurgency." Do you think the Taliban is likely to be disbanded and Afghanistan to be a stable, functioning republic in 2020?
In 2007, Britain’s security chief, Admiral Lord Alan West, said it could take 30 years to defeat terrorism in the United Kingdom. Do you think that in 2037, Britain will be peaceful and free of jihad terrorists?
The very idea is preposterous, and it is preposterous for the same reason that 15 years after 9/11, no one knows why this strange war has lasted so long.
West said more in that 2007 interview:
I now realize that we are talking about a generation -- and by that I would say 30 years. That doesn’t mean necessarily that we are going to stay at a severe level of threat for all those years. But to be able to say one has absolutely changed the mind-set and thought of people IS going to take a generation.
West nailed the answer there -- but no one seemed to notice.
Because nothing, nothing whatsoever, is being done in Britain or anywhere else to change "the mind-set and thought of people."
That is precisely why, fifteen years after 9/11, the West is weaker and more vulnerable than ever.
The entirety of Western intelligentsia, the totality of our political and media elites, steadfastly refuses to acknowledge exactly what the "mindset and thought" of the terrorists really is, and where it comes from. Because of that refusal, policies that don’t deal with the actual problem keep being applied and re-applied -- at the cost of thousands of American lives, billions of American dollars -- and we have nothing to show for this expenditure besides a sharp and continuing loss of American power and prestige.
The jihadis who struck the U.S. on September 11, 2001 have made such immense advances since then not because they are strong, or clever, or capable, but because we are weak, short-sighted, and resolute. Resolute not in fighting them, but in maintaining our denial about who they are and what they want.
The denial is so complete that we have taken numerous steps to actually enable them to achieve their goals: the billions gifted to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the welcoming of the massive Muslim migrant influx are just two of the most recent examples.

I used to be one of those who worried and whined about Islam, until I realized that it's relatively normal compared to the deep pathology of modern Western liberalism. Muslims are just reacting as our own forefathers would if they encountered the pathologies of this civilization for the first time. Islamism is a symptom, not a disease. The disease is the liberal ROT within our own lands. WE need to fight a jihad against the internal rot, and the Islamic problem will go away along with it.
#2
Sorry but the war has been going on for 700+ years and as has been pointed out the current iteration is due to denial by the elites of what the problem actually is.
The elites are like a doctor that recognizes a disease but can't bring himself to treat it with the one drug that might actually work.

At the risk of stating the obvious, all wars run on money. Follow the money trail to its source and kill it. Whether that be the king of Saudi Arabia or the ayotollah of Iran.
Trump might just get it enough to threaten to do it. And that will be enough.

Yes, it does not help if political correctness is invoked every time some muzzie shoots up the place, lops off some one's head, or burns some one alive.

[Free Beacon] A congressionally sponsored event to promote boycotts of Israel was cancelled late Tuesday evening after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) was informed about the forum and made an impromptu phone call to the lawmaker sponsoring the event, ordering that it be shut down, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.
The Free Beacon disclosed earlier this week that a member of Congress had lent their backing to an event aimed at promoting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or BDS, which has been widely cited as an anti-Semitic effort.
The group hosting the forum, the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, is known for employing anti-Israel and anti-Semitic language, according to human rights organizations.

I don't think Hilda can make it through a 90 minute debate. I can just see Trump going over to her to offer her a glass of water or a shoulder to lean on or an offer to take a 15-30 minute break--whatever she needs.
In the Nixon-Kennedy 1960 debate, Nixon looked pale, sallow and sweaty. Just saying. Kennedy won the election in 1960. Optics are important.

I've read that she insisted on comfy chairs instead of podiums. I suspect that when the cameras go hot she'll already be seated. No canes or walkers will be in sight. And Trump (naively, IMHO) agreed to this.
As direct a challenge to Islam as that thing Pope Benedict wrote.
[IsraelTimes] Pontiff honors Jacques Hamel, whose throat was slit by Death Eaters in northern La Belle France in July
Pope Francis on Wednesday denounced killing in God’s name as "satanic" as he held a mass to honor Jacques Hamel, the French priest whose throat was slit by jihadists in July.
"Killing in God’s name is satanic," he said in his address, which was attended by around 80 pilgrims from the northern French diocese of Rouen where the attack took place.
"He was a martyr," he said of Hamel, describing him as a "good, gentle man" who had been killed "like a criminal.
"How good it would be if all religious confessions declared that killing in the name of God was satanic."
The elderly priest was killed on July 26 while presiding over an early morning mass for a handful of parishioners in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.
The pope’s early service on Wednesday was held in the chapel at St. Martha’s, the boarding house where Francis stays and where a photo of the late priest was set upon the altar.
"Today the Church has more Christian deaders than in the first centuries," he said in his sermon which was delivered in Italian but translated into French for the visitors.
Christians were currently suffering persecution through being "imprisoned, tortured and killed because they refuse to deny Jesus," he said.
"This cruelty which demands apostasy is, let us say it, satanic," he said. Apostasy is the renunciation of one’s religious beliefs.

After reading the Koran, an exercise in simple logic results in "Islam is satanic", or the Pope is wrong about killing in god's name. Christians choose the former, Mohammedans the latter.

Yeah, but what about murder in the name of Allah?
Pope says: "How good it would be if all religious confessions declared that killing in the name of God was satanic."
which is acknowledging that he only speaks for Christians and thus is counseling no reprisals more than anything else. Turn the other cheek and be beheaded.

No religious following should be discriminated against, and the pope is clearly satanaphobic. We need a groundswell effort to get him fired and ruin his life.
[IsraelTimes] Vehicles intended for use by Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, fighters would be broken down, hidden in shipments entering Strip, Shin Bet says
Israeli law enforcement authorities have uncovered a smuggling ring led by Israeli citizens that brought automobiles into the Gazoo Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing, the Shin Bet security service said Wednesday.
David, Moshe and Yossi? For shame!
More than 100 vehicles are believed to have been brought into the Strip over the past nine months "for use by Hamas," specifically its military arm, the Shin Bet said.
The agency named Sa’ed Musleh, Faris Musleh and Noah Musleh as the central figures in the ring.
Oh. No doubt they are depraved on account of they're deprived, so it's all the fault of the juices.
The trio was tossed in the clink Book 'im, Mahmoud! on September 1, but Israeli security forces were continuing their investigation to determine who else was involved in the scheme, the Shin Bet said.
The agency did not say when they would be formally charged.
The three men are members of the same family, though it was not immediately clear how they were related to one another. They were all from Segev Shalom, a Bedouin town southeast of Beersheba.
The smuggling ring was uncovered in a joint operation by the Shin Bet, Israel Police and the Defense Ministry’s Crossing Authority.
According to the Shin Bet, members of the smuggling ring would break the cars down into parts and hide the pieces inside cargo heading into the Gazoo Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
In one such attempt at the crossing, however, these dismantled and concealed vehicles were spotted and confiscated.
"This method did not surprise the defense establishment, and it displayed the creativity with which Hamas operates, with its abettors, in an attempt to equip itself and become stronger," the Shin Bet said.
During their interrogations, the suspects said they "knew that they were working for people who belonged to Hamas," according to the Shin Bet’s statement.
The Defense Ministry’s Crossing Authority keeps a close watch on the trucks bearing humanitarian aid and consumer products that enter Gazoo -- sometimes hundreds a day -- in order to monitor and track the goods entering the Strip and prevent them from winding up in the hands of terrorist groups.
Israeli forces have uncovered numerous attempts to smuggle contraband into the Gazoo Strip through both the Kerem Shalom crossing and naval routes from Egypt.
On Tuesday, the Shin Bet revealed that it had in jug a 24-year-old Gazoo man, Khamis Jihad Said Ara’ishi, who had smuggled kaboom into the Strip that is believed to have been used by Hamas to create weapons.
Last month, the Defense Ministry’s Crossing Authority also uncovered a shipment of commando knives, along with graphite strips -- a potential ingredient in rocket fuel -- that had been hidden in a truck headed for Gazoo.
Update from Ynet at 5:50 a.m. ET: the cars were ATVs. So that niggling question is now answered.
Media Matters chief David Brock paid a former domestic partner $850,000 after being threatened with damaging information involving the organization’s donors and the IRS – a deal that Brock later characterized as a blackmail payment, according to legal documents obtained by FoxNews.com.
In an acrimonious lawsuit settled at the end of last year, Brock accused William Grey of making repeated threats to expose him to the "scorn or ridicule of his employees, donors and the press in demanding money and property." Brock claimed in legal papers that he sold a Rehoboth Beach, Del., home he once shared with Grey in order to meet Grey’s demands, which he called "blackmail" in the lawsuit.
Brock, 49, heads the non-profit Media Matters for America, which bills itself as a watchdog of the conservative media but has recently come under fire for allegedly coordinating with Democrats in what could be a violation of its tax-exempt status.
Brock’s bitter legal battle with Grey, who is described in a Sept. 14, 2010, police report obtained by FoxNews.com as his domestic partner of more than 10 years, began after Brock began dating Washington, D.C., restaurant impresario James Alefantis about five years ago. For the next three years, Brock and Grey traded angry accusations, which were documented in the police report and were the foundation of a pitched legal battle replete with charges of blackmail, theft and financial malfeasance.
Alefantis was also named as a defendant in Grey's lawsuit.
In his response to Brock's lawsuit, Grey "denies that he committed any "acts of blackmail.""
Grey threatened to go public about Brock and Media Matters' finances after he accused Brock in a civil suit filed in Washington of taking $170,000 in possessions, including an $8,000 Louis Vuitton suit bag, paintings, a rug, a chandelier, a painted bust of a Roman soldier and a pair of carved wooden chairs upholstered with purple fabric. Those possessions were displayed in the Washington townhouse where the couple entertained liberal movers and shakers in happier times.
Brock took Grey’s threats seriously and called police in 2010. In the police report, filed by Metropolitan Police as a stalking incident, Brock accused Grey, also 49, of attempting to blackmail him with a series of emails threatening to "release specific derogatory information about [Brock] and his organization to the press and donors that would be embarrassing to him and cause harm to the organization …"
Some of those emails came out as the lawsuit, filed by Grey on Jan. 28, 2011, wound its way through Superior Court of the District of Columbia last year.
[ALMASDARNEWS] A number of US-controlled armed units, including Ahrar al-Sham ...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... , have announced their unwillingness to cease fire in Syria, the Russian Armed Forces General Staff said Wednesday.
The statment said "some of the armed units under the U.S. control, such as Ahrar al-Sham, have openly announced their unwillingness to join the ceasefire regime. The biggest number of violations were made by those units."
The statement runs that forces of Evil in Syria had violated the ceasefire regime 60 times over almost 48 hours of truce.
The first deputy chief of the General Staff’s main operations directorate, Lieutenant-General Viktor Poznikhir, said that "the first 48-hour truce established under the Russian-US agreement for the cessation of military hostilities is expiring at 19:00 on Wednesday. We would like to note that the ceasefire had not been observed in full measure over that period. By Wednesday morning, the forces of Evil had violated the ceasefire regime 60 times."
"We are recording the ceasefire violations. This data will be made available to the international community," Poznikhir said, adding that the Russian military will continue to publish the data.
According to Poznikhir, another four communities have joined the process of reconciliation in Syria thereby increasing the overall number of such localities to 616.
"Over the past twenty four hours reconciliation agreements have been signed with another four communities in Homs and Latakia provinces. The list of such localities has now grown to 616," he said.
The Russian center for the reconciliation of warring factions is pushing ahead with efforts to normalize the situation in Syria. The 48-hour ceasefire came into force at 19.00 Moscow Time on September 12 in accordance with the agreements reached by Russia and the US at the talks in Geneva.

[RUDAW.NET] Kurdish parties in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... ’s Kurdistan responded positively to a renewed call for peace by Abdullah Ocalan, the tossed in the calaboose Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! -leader of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
Ocalan said in a message delivered by his brother to a crowd of supporters in Diyarbakir on Monday that his party would take the initiative for peace, and he asked the Turkish government to follow suit. He said peace could be achieved "within six months" if the Turkish government were sincere.
A group of 50 politicians and supporters from the pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) has since ended a hunger strike announced about two weeks ago.
They went on hunger strike to put pressure on the government to allow for Ocalan’s family to visit him in prison. The strike followed rumors that leaders of the failed July 15 coup in Turkey wanted to harm Ocalan.
The Kurdish Rights and Freedoms Party (HAK-PAR), a small nationalist party which is often at odds with HDP and PKK but keeps friendly ties with the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), said it welcomes any calls for peace.
"The war has destroyed our country. Our people have been damaged. Therefore, let the war stop in whatever way possible... let’s open the political door. Let’s leave the political democratic door open," HAK-PAR president Refik Karakoc told Rudaw
The PKK took up arms against the Turkish state in 1984, and since then an estimated 40,000 people have been killed, many of them in Turkey’s Kurdish southeast.
"Every day about 30 or 40 people are getting killed, whether from the PKK, the government, or the people. At the end each person comes from a family who has parents, brothers and sisters. This has created an open wound. (That is why) peace would not prevail easily," Muhamad Amin Kardas, the secretary general of Kurdistan Democratic Party ‐ Turkey (KDP-T) said.
The Turkish government and the PKK were negotiating a peace deal that began in 2013, when the conflict resumed in mid-2015.
Wahid Abba, manager of the general center of PAK, the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) - not to be confused with another armed Kurdish party with the same name but active in Iran -- believes the negotiations failed because they were carried out in secret.
This time, he said, the process has to be open to succeed.

[ARA News] HASAKAH – Arab tribal groups protested in the city of Sere Kaniye [Ras al-Ain] in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah province on Wednesday to condemn the Turkish intervention in Syria.
Hundreds of protesters called on the Turkish forces to withdraw from Syria.
“We condemn the Turkish occupation of Syrian territories. We protested today to show that not only Kurds are against this intervention, but Arabs and all the components of the Syrian society,” one of the protesters told ARA News in Sere Kaniye.
The protesters tried to express their anger with the Turkish intervention, emphasising the unity of the social components in Syria.
The Arab protesters stressed that the Turkish violations at the Syrian borders do not only target Kurds, but all Syrian communities.
The Turkish forces entered the Syrian city of Jarablus on 24 August under the pretext of fighting ISIS and securing Turkey’s borders. However, the Turkish army also attacked Kurdish areas near Kobane, where scores of civilians were killed and dozens injured, which raised suspicions about the main goal of the Turkish intervention in Syria.

by Patrick J. Buchanan Former Reform Party candidate for president. He lost. Before that I think he was a paleo-Republican.
[TAKIMAG] Speaking to 1,000 of the overprivileged at an LGBT fundraiser, where the chairs ponied up $250,000 each and Barbra Streisand sang, Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as the Smartest Woman in the World and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edward Stettinius, Jr. ... gave New York’s social liberals what they came to hear.
"You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?" smirked Clinton to cheers and laughter. "The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it." They are "irredeemable," but they are "not America."
This was no verbal slip. Clinton had invited the press in to cover the LGBT gala at Cipriani Wall Street where the cheap seats went for $1,200. And she had tried out her new lines earlier on Israeli TV:
"You can take Trump supporters and put them in two baskets." First there are "the deplorables, the racists, and the haters, and the people who ... think somehow he’s going to restore an America that no longer exists. So, just eliminate them from your thinking..."
And who might be in the other basket backing Donald Trump?
They are people, said Clinton, "who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them. ... These are people we have to understand and empathize with."
In short, Trump’s support consists of one-half xenophobes, bigots and racists, and one-half losers we should pity.
And she is running on the slogan "Stronger Together."
Her remarks echo those of Barack Obama If you have a small business, you didn't build that... in 2008 to the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... fat cats puzzled about those strange Pennsylvanians.
They are "bitter," said Obama, they "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustration."
In short, Pennsylvania is a backwater of alienated Bible-banging gun nuts and bigots suspicious of outsiders and foreigners.
But who really are these folks our new class detests, sneers at and pities? As African-Americans are 90 percent behind Clinton, it is not black folks. Nor is it Hispanics, who are solidly in the Clinton camp.
Nor would Clinton tolerate such slurs directed at Third World immigrants colonists who are making America better by making us more diverse than that old "America that no longer exists."
No, the folks Obama and Clinton detest, disparage, and pity are the white working- and middle-class folks Richard Nixon celebrated as Middle Americans and the Silent Majority.
They are the folks who brought America through the Depression, won World War II, and carried us through the Cold War from Truman in 1945 to victory with Ronald Reagan in 1989.
These are the Trump supporters. They reside mostly in red states like West Virginia, Kentucky and Middle Pennsylvania, and Southern, Plains and Mountain states that have provided a disproportionate share of the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who fought and died to guarantee the freedom of plutocratic LGBT lovers to laugh at and mock them at $2,400-a-plate dinners.

They just don't get it. No, most regular folks don't "feel" anything of the like. There is large segment of the US citizenry that know the current regime continues to enact policies against their self interest and aren't "askin nobody for nuthin".
[ZEROHEDGE] "The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."
When President Nicolas Maduro inherited the Venezuelan Socialist "dream", in April of 2013, just one month after Chavez died, he was facing a mere 53% inflation rate. Today the Venezuelan bolivar is virtually worthless, and inflation is creeping to 500% with expectations of much more. A recent Washington Post report stated:
" ...markets expect Venezuela to default on its debt in the very near future. The country is basically bankrupt. It is not easy for a nation to go bankrupt with the largest oil reserves in the world, but Venezuela has managed it. How? Well, a combination of bad luck and worse policies. The first step was when Hugo Chavez's socialist government started spending more money on the poor, with everything from two-cent gasoline to free housing. That may all seem like it's a good idea in general -- but only as long as there's money to spend. And by 2005 or so, Venezuela didn't have any."

This sort of thing reminds me of when I was in second grade and the teacher assigned us each to write a limerick involving food in some way. Mine ran:
"There once was a fellow named Sam
"Who would only ever eat ham.
"It happened one day
"That he died away [sic].
"And now his wife eats only ham."
I was never happy with this verse, but lately I see a lot of this tendency in politics as in the final line, namely not learning from others' mistakes.

The problem many people, including a few R'burgers, have is the "axiom" that the government cares about the people.
In Socialism the system is a success as long as it provides luxury and power for the founders. If in continues to do such for future members of the elite then that's just gravy. It is only for the comfort of the founders that the system is established. Do you really think Obama cares about the future of the Dem party?

[DAWN] India offered Afghanistan a fresh $1 billion in economic assistance after their leaders met in New Delhi on Wednesday to strengthen already close ties between the neighbours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India's commitment to helping the war-torn country strengthen its education, health, agriculture and other sectors during talks with Afghanistan's Caped PresidentAshraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. .. In a joint statement, India announced the $1 billion offer, but there was no mention of providing weapons to help Afghanistan fight holy warriors, which it has previously asked for.
Modi and Ghani called in the statement for an end to sponsorship and support of holy warriors.
They did not name Pakistain, but they have previously accused their neighbour of supporting Islamic Lion of Islams.
"The two leaders discussed the regional situation and expressed grave concern at continued use of terrorism and violence in the region for achieving political objectives," Indian foreign secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said.
"They called upon the concerned to put an end to all sponsorship, support, safe havens and sanctuaries to terrorists, including for those who target Afghanistan and India," he told news hounds.
The Afghan government has accused Pakistain of supporting the Taliban, while Delhi says Pakistain supports rebels crossing the border into Indian-controlled Kashmire -- claims that Islamabad denies.
Ghani is expected to give a speech to a think tank on "global terrorism" later Wednesday as part of his two-day visit to the capital.
India, the fifth largest bilateral donor in Afghanistan, has been a key supporter of Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... 's government and has poured more than $2 billion into the country since the Taliban was toppled in 2001.
Delhi's active engagement has led analysts to point to the threat of a "proxy war" in Afghanistan between India and its arch-rival Pakistain.
Pakistain has long been accused of supporting the gunnies in Afghanistan.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The German cabinet gave the green light on Wednesday to send up to 650 troops to join a new NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions... mission to combat arms smuggling by the ISIS myrmidon group in the Mediterranean Sea.
The German involvement in NATO's operation Sea Guardian will last until the end of 2017. In exceptional emergencies, it will be possible to temporarily increase the number of German soldiers involved in the mission.
The deployment is part of a broader shift by Germany to expand its military role in Europe and NATO. Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen has sought to rebuild equipment and troop levels of the armed forces after years of declines.
NATO members agreed to launch the new maritime mission at a summit in Poland in July. German ships are also participating in a European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... military mission called Sophia to try to combat the smuggling of weapons and people off the Libyan coast.

First "650 troops" then "soldiers" then "maritime mission" with "ships". Confusing news. Could be 6 companies or 1 hull.
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has assigned Brigadier General Osama Zahreddine the task of leading the Hader-Quneitra operations room in the Syrian Golan Heights. In the past four days, the SAA in Quneitra province has been fighting off both rebel attacks and Israeli air raids.
Osama Zahreddine is the brother of legendary Major General Issam Zahreddine, commander-in-chief of the SAA's forces at Deir Ezzor, a city still withstanding a two year long Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... siege.
Both Zahreddine brothers originate from a Druze family in Sweida province, further south. Meanwhile, ...back at the dirigible, Jack stuck the cigar in his mouth, stepped onto the gantry, and asked Got a light, Mac?
Von Schtinken stopped short, lowering the dagger and trying to control his features.
If you light that thing, Herr Armschtröng, he pointed out, his voice tense, we all die!... the majority of inhabitants in the Golan Heights are equally Druze; therefore, Osama Zahreddine's deployment hints at a SAA strategy opting to win the hearts and minds of local inhabitants.
The Quneitra governorate has been locked down in somewhat of a stalemate since the al-Qaeda affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... (now Jabhat Fateh al-Sham ...formerly al-Nusra, the current false nose and mustache of al-Qaeda in the Levant... ) seized the town of al-Quneitra and its the border crossing to Israel in 2014.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Pentagon said Tuesday it launched various strikes on ISIS group forces in Syria over the past several days, including hits on some targets that "may have resulted in civilian casualties."
You mean human shields, O Pentagon spokesperson, whose injuries are the responsibility of the party hiding behind them, according to the Geneva Conventions.
The incidents took place September 7, September 10 and September 12, according to a statement from CENTCOM. It did not give a number of dead or injured.
But in the September 10 raid "near Ar Raqqah, Syria, a strike against an ISIS (ISIS) target may have resulted in the death of civilians near where the strike occurred," CENTCOM said.
On September 7, a raid near Dayz Az Zawr, Syria, on an ISIS target struck a non-military vehicle that drove into the target area after the weapon was released from the aircraft.
And September 12, a bombing near Ash Shaddadah, Syria, during a strike against an ISIS target another apparently non-military vehicle drove into the target area after the weapon was released from the aircraft, CENTCOM added.
Not human shields, then, but unavoidable accidents.
Iraqi security forces, backed by coalition air power, are in the final weeks of "shaping" operations ahead of an assault to recapture djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... , which ISIS seized in 2014 and which remains the bully boy’s last main stronghold in Iraq.

[DAWN] Police on Wednesday registered a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with a Lion of Islam attack claimed by the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) and targeting Eidul Azha prayers in Shikarpur on Monday.
Three copperswere maimed as police foiled two suicide kaboom attempts during Eid prayers in Shikarpur's Khanpur tehsil.
The FIR was lodged against six suspects under sections 120-B (punishment of criminal conspiracy), 324, 353 of the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC), sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substance Act and 6/7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act on the complaint of Syed Mohammad Shah Kazmi, a member of the Shuhada Committee.
The committee is a district level forum of the Shia community that was formed in the wake of last year's suicide kaboom in a Shikarpur imambargah that killed 61 people.
The complainant said he has nominated six persons in the FIR in light of the initial statement given by an incarcerated Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'! accused.
"We don’t trust the police, that’s why we have come forward to lodge the FIR ourselves," Kazmi told Dawn.
Khanpur police confirmed that four men nominated in the FIR include Abdul Rehman (dead), Usman (arrested) and Umer and Hafeez (their handlers) who had fled away. Two accused remain unidentified.
SSP Shikarpur Umer Tufail said that since members of the Shia community were volunteering to register the FIR "we didn’t raise any objection and the FIR has been accordingly registered".
'Incompetent' SHO
Police have rounded up close to two dozen suspects in the Khanpur area of Shikarpur district after the incident.
A teenaged would-be jacket wallah -- who was later identified as Abdul Rehman -- was killed and his accomplice Usman was arrested while three coppers received injuries.
Abdul Rehman and Usman were spotted outside an imambargah acting suspiciously. When a policeman approached them with some questions, they failed to answer.
Usman, who was wearing a suicide jacket, was then caught by people and handed over to police while Abdul Rehman fled and reached a place close to an Eidul Azha congregation.
As police tried to get near him, he detonated a hand grenade which he was carrying, resulting in injuries to three coppers. However, some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go... another policeman opened fired on him, killing him on the spot. The three injured coppers were shifted to a Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... hospital through helicopter under IGP Sindh's orders.
Initial investigation by police shows that Abdul Rehman and Usman had travelled to Shikarpur on a cycle of violence after travelling for three hours.
"This shows that they had stayed somewhere in another district like Jacobabad or Jaffarabad in Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... ," a police source said.
Usman, who is in jug of police, is a resident of Swat’s Kabal tehsil. He is a student of a religious seminary in Karachi. It is learnt that Usman is being handed over to Sindh police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for questioning.
IGP Sindh A.D. Khawaja confirmed talking to Dawn over the telephone that the case of Tuesday’s incident was being transferred to CTD Karachi along with the arrested suspects for investigation.
Shikarpur police have transferred SHO Bahar Deen Keerio following the attack after complaints of Shuhada Committee leaders.
Kazmi of the Shuhda Committee remarked that SHO Keerio was incompetent.
"We [the Shia community] are facing a different scenario and a conventional type of policing will not help us and this is what we are trying to tell everyone," he said.

[RUDAW.NET] A Christian missionary non-profit organization working with Syrian refugees in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... described how its work has encouraged some of the refugees to convert from Islam to Christianity
"We have earned the trust of refugees, they just are very pleased to welcome us to their tents," an unidentified Turkey-based ministry director, who works alongside the Christian Aid Mission, told the Christian Post (CP) in an article published on Tuesday.
The unnamed director also claimed that, as part of his work in Turkey, he has seen 120 Syrian refugees accepting Jesus Christ as their "savior," while at least 20 others were baptized.
The Christian Aid Mission reported earlier this month that ministry workers working with refugees have also been seeing changes in how Moslems in the camps talk and think about Jesus.
"There, the ministry director noted that while Moslems use the words ’Hazreti Isa’ to refer to Jesus as a prophet, some of the refugees are starting to say ’Jesus Christ’ like Christians, and are beginning to open their minds to the Christian message," according to CP.
"Praise God that seeds are beginning to take root. In every tent, when we talk about Jesus, we are seeing this change when we translate. They say and use these words more often," CP quoted the minister as saying.
The director also said his ministry ‐ which deals with 8,000 Syrian refugees in Turkey ‐ has been distributing Arabic Bibles far and wide to the Syrian Moslems. They have also given coloring books based on the Bible to Syrian children who are learning Turkish.
"When we go to the camps, they run to us and show the books they have read and the notebooks they have filled with pictures ‐ this brings us joy, seeing these things used," he said.
Those refugees the director said converted have faced problems as a result.
"They have to hide it from others and live their religion secretly," he said. "Islam," he also charged, "is not a religion of tolerance and love."

Being a Christian missionary is deadly business in some parts of the world. I like how the missionaries from Spain went about their work in the New World centuries ago surrounded by Indian savages. They built "missions" which were actually forts that protected themselves and converts. A few Texan militia fended off thousands of Mexican army troops for weeks at one, the Alamo.
[ALMASDARNEWS] A massive convoy of reinforcements from the al-Sweida Governorate arrived in the Golan Heights today after the jihadist rebels mobilized more fighters to launch a 4th offensive.
According to a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) source, the government convoy was made up of fighters from the National Defense Forces (NDF), Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), Jaish al-Muwahiddeen (Druze militia), and the 5th Armored Division.
Most of the non-army reinforcements are volunteers from the al-Sweida Governorate that traveled to the Golan Heights to protect their people from the jihadist rebels.
Similar to al-Sweida, Jabal al-Sheikh's (Mount Hermon) population is mostly Syrian Druze, making their communities very close; this is one of the reasons why several fighters volunteered to protect this area from jihadist rebels.

[AZFAMILY] Joe Arpaio, the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America who could face criminal charges for ignoring a judge's order to stop targeting Latinos in anti-immigration roundups, may now have a new foe as he seeks re-election - George Soros, the billionaire liberal hedge fund tycoon.
The Republican sheriff already was battered politically and support for him had been slipping when a group linked to Soros mounted an anti-Arpaio attack in an attempt to weaken his bid for a seventh straight term.
The group started sending fliers to Phoenix-area voters two weeks ago, and a mailing last week accuses Arpaio of separating a mother from her child because of an unpaid traffic ticket, botching hundreds of sex crimes investigations and scaring immigrants colonists so much that that they don't report crime.
Arpaio denies the claims and is easily capable of striking back with a formidable $2.9 million still available for campaign spending ahead of the Nov. 8 vote, dwarfing the total $326,000 raised by his challenger, Democrat Paul Penzone, a former Phoenix police sergeant who lost to Arpaio by 6 percentage points in 2012.
But the entry of a Soros-linked group is a gift for Penzone, who acknowledges he'll never come close to matching Arpaio's campaign spending.
Over the last year, Soros contributed $3.9 million to Democrats in law enforcement political races in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,... , St. Louis, Orlando, Houston, Albuquerque, Lowndes County in Mississippi and Caddo Gay Pareeh in Louisiana, according to campaign finance records.
Of the seven district attorney candidates Soros-linked groups have backed, two have already been elected and four won primaries. Only one lost.

This pr!ck Soros' money shows up everywhere. Why the hell does he get so many votes in elections across the country?
This is sheer, sad stupidity. Talk about walking away from your core business! Sears (and its rival, the late Monkey Ward) used to be what Amazon is, in pre-technology days. You got their "web site" in the mail every month, and they'd ship you anything from a pair of shoes to a house (you had to put it together yourself). K Mart is the offspring of the Kresge 5 & 10 stores, and were what WalMart perfected. As mail order tanked, K Mart bought Sears, with the holding company in the Sears name. Neither company saw the potential of the internet and neither has a significant internet presence. I guess the Triceratops was a good idea at one time, too.
[BUSINESSINSIDER] Moody's analysts say Sears and Kmart don't have enough money -- or access to money -- to stay in business. In a note published Wednesday, the analysts downgraded Sears' liquidity rating, saying the company is bleeding cash and will have to continue to rely on outside funding or the sale of assets, such as real estate, to sustain operations. The Langston by Sears & Roebuck, circa 1920. Shipped into town by train, pieces numbered with blueprint and assembly instructions. I don't believe the Langston had an indoor privy. Some of the larger models did.
"We recognize the risks associated with relying on these sources and continued shareholder support to finance its negative operating cash flow which is estimated by Moody's to be approximately $1.5 billion this year," the analysts wrote.
Kmart in particular is at risk of shutting down, according to Moody's.
"The ratings... reflect our view on the uncertainty of the viability of the Kmart franchise in particular given its meaningful market share erosion," the analysts wrote.
Sears said in August that its cash and equivalents have fallen to $276 million from $1.8 billion one year ago. As a result, the retailer was forced to accept $300 million in financing from Sears CEO Eddie Lampert's hedge fund, ESL Investments, in the most recent quarter.
The company is losing cash as sales plunge at its namesake and Kmart stores. Net sales fell 8.8% to $5.7 billion in the second quarter. Same-store sales plunged 7% at Sears stores and dropped 3.3% at Kmart stores.

First of the year. Warranty work is now only 30 days in automotive repair in my store. Quality is disappearing. People don't want to pay too much for anything. Look at food. Fast food sickness is upon us now. Cheep, cheep and more cheep. Less pay more work. Cut hours then what happens, No rotation of anything. Food sits in freezer in the back till pulled for preparation. Food store same thing. Sending our meats to China of all places to be processed. No label of origin. I can tell you auto parts come in nice boxes but product inside is destroyed at factory or poorly manufactured. Garments sent to Vietnam from China leave burn marks after you wear them. Cheap prices + Cheap results = No business. Now at this time when you visit your doctor they will ask you how often do you pee?. People are saying that after eating fast food they have to pee shortly afterward. Doctor said to a patient, yes , "I am seeing this problem increasing among my patients". To make red meats last longer for sale you add red dye. Sub sandwich dated goes out so you take the meat off and make a different sandwich. I can go on and on. Medical?, you would not believe the tricks there to save money.

A parallel observation since I do most of the food shopping for the family now, the prices for items have been fairly slow to rise, but the quantity shrinkage is amazing, slowly smaller soda amounts, less net weight in prepackaged foods, quantity of principle ingredients lessened, everything is about max profit and the decline of quality. The exception is the carriage trade stores where the prices are upper tier but the quality is better. The Whole Foods phenomena and high end lunch places. A two-tier working society where one set makes 40-60k in fly over country and is glad for it, and the coastal enclaves where 120k is low end/entry level. That is certainly the case in Northern California, and by hearsay from family in SOCal as well. Can't see how this doesn't fracture soon......

I've dealt with Sears twice. First, I ordered online some clothes, some long underwear. They never arrived. Second, we arranged for a measure and quote for a kitchen renovation. Set a time and nobody showed up. There wont be a third time.

The Islamic State was expected to launch a large-scale offensive at Palmyra in the coming days after they conducted several small attacks near the International Highway over the last two weeks.
Lt. Gen.Poznikhir did not specify which airport the Russian Air Force used to launch this attack; however, several reports last week indicated that Moscow and Tehran are once again negotiating the use of the Hamedan Airbase in western Iran.

Wait, is this still the truce? If so, it seems to be working out well for the Russians.
[ARA News] HASAKAH – Clashes broke out between Kurdish forces of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah Governorate, military sources reported on Thursday.
At least 38 ISIS militants were killed and five more were arrested by the YPG after clashes near the Shaddadi City in the southern countryside of Hasakah.
“Daesh terrorists attacked our basis near Shaddadi by carrying out three car bomb attacks,” YPG fighter Hajar Osman told ARA News, using an Arabic acronym for ISIS.
“Then clashes broke out between our [YPG] forces and Daesh militants in the villages of Keshkesh and Zenat in Shaddadi suburb. We forced the group to withdraw after killing 38 terrorists and arresting five others,” the source said.
Also, nine YPG fighters were killed in the clashes, the Kurdish leadership said on Thursday.
The ISIS group reportedly withdrew towards its bases in Deir ez-Zor province, eastern Syria.
The YPG leadership said their forces have seized four ISIS vehicles and a large deal of ammunition from the group after the clashes.

An explosion rocked Kabul city earlier today after a magnetic bomb planted in a police vehicle went off in Deh Mazang area of the city.
The security officials confirmed the incident and said one person was wounded in the blast but the eyewitnesses in the area said one person was killed and another one was wounded.
No group including the Taliban insurgents has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
This comes as at least 3 people were wounded in a similar incident in Kabul city last Thursday.
The incident on Thursday took place in the vicinity of Taimani area of the city after a magnetic bomb was detonated leaving 3 civilians wounded.
Earlier at least 41 people were killed and over 100 others were wounded close to the Ministry of Defense compound.

A suicide bomber targeted the crowd of security personnel and some civilians who had gathered to help the victims of the first explosion.

A message (copied from an email) for you readers who are 65 years of age, or older.
"I used to think I was just a regular guy, but…
I was born white, which now, whether I like it or not, makes me a racist.
I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today’s standards, makes me a fascist.
I am heterosexual, which according to gay folks, now makes me a homophobe.
I am non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class and an all of big business.
I am a Christian, which now labels me as an infidel.
I believe in the 2nd Amendment, which now makes me a member of the vast gun lobby.
I am older than 70 and retired, which makes me a useless old man.
I think and I reason, therefore I doubt much that the main stream media tells me, which must make me a reactionary.
I am proud of my heritage and our inclusive American culture, which makes a xenophobe.
I value my safety and that of my family and I appreciate the police and the legal system, which makes me a right-wing extremist.
I believe in hard work, fair play, and fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.
I (and most of the folks I know), acquired a fair education without student loans (it's called work) and no debt at graduation, which makes me some kind of an odd underachiever.
I believe in the defense and protection of the homeland for and by all citizens, which now makes me a militant.
Please help me come to terms with the new me… because I am just not sure who I am any more!
I would like to thank all my friends for sticking with me through these abrupt, new found changes in my life and my thinking! I just can’t imagine or understand what’s happen to me so quickly! Funny…it’s all just taken place over the last 7 or 8 years! if all this crap wasn’t enough to deal with…I’m now afraid to go into either restroom,"

Not because Medal of Honor recipients are in any way seedy, but that's where we're putting everything election unless is specifically relates to the War on Terror.
[Fox] 14 Medal of Honor recipients publicly backed Donald Trump’s presidential bid this week, just days after Trump received the endorsement of 88 retired military figures.
U.S. Army Major General Patrick Henry Brady (Ret.), who received the Medal of Honor for his heroic service during the Vietnam War, appeared on "Fox and Friends" this morning to explain why he's backing Trump
"This man has throughout his entire life exhibited extraordinary leadership abilities," Brady said.
He added that he's also been impressed by the Republican nominee's focus on the U.S. military and taking care of veterans.
"Our security is tied to our military readiness, which is in shambles," Brady said. "And this man has vowed to renew, invigorate our readiness and help secure America as it should be secured."
He said that military people understand leadership, and that's why he was proud to put his name alongside 13 of his fellow Medal of Honor recipients.
[DAWN] As Moslems worldwide have just performed another Haj and are now celebrating Eidul Azha, it is perhaps an opportune moment to reflect on the current state of that abstract construct -- the ’Moslem world’.
While, indeed, the world as a whole is facing myriad challenges to the global order -- political, financial, security etc -- these problems are magnified manifold in most Moslem-majority states, Pakistain included.
While external players have had a role in destabilising Moslem states and regions, arguably, the greatest challenge is internal, most notably from decrepit and repressive political systems that stifle dissent, as well as from holy warrior movements that thrive in suffocating environments and use Islamic imagery to promote a thoroughly savage agenda.

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – A local source in Nineveh province informed Iraqi News on Wednesday that ISIS has threatened Mosul residents of 20 whipped if they were found carrying the warning leaflets dropped by the Iraqi Air Force on Tuesday night.
“As the Iraqi forces prepare to launch an all-out offensive against ISIS in the province, Iraqi fighter jets warned the citizens on Tuesday night by dropping warning leaflets, urging them to stay away from ISIS sites. The militant outfit on the other hand today, mobilized its members to collect the leaflets and also warned the residents that they will be whipped with 20 whips if any leaflets were found from their possession.”
It may be mentioned here that Iraqi warplanes on Tuesday night dropped a huge number of warning leaflets over the northern province of Nineveh, urging the civilians to keep away from the ISIS positions since they will be targeted by the jets.

[Dhaka Tribune] Tahrim Quaderi alias Rasel, 14-year-old son of dead bad boy Tanvir Quaderi alias Abdul Karim, attacked cops with knife during the raid in Azimpur area of the capital last Saturday.
The matter was mentioned in the statement of the case filed with Lalbagh police. Rasel is the 5th accused in the case. Currently, he has been kept under custody of the counter terrorism unit.
The case statement reads- the door of the house was found locked from inside. Later SWAT team helped to break the door. Rasel attacked police soon after law enforcers broke into their house. Police somehow managed to detain him and later sent two kids‐ 8-year-old Junayara alias Pinki and one-year-old Sabiha Zaman‐ to victim support center, reports Bangla Tribune.
Investigating officers said, police had been looking into why Rasel carried out the attack and whether he was inspired to be a bad boy by his parents.
Sources said, Rasel has a twin brother, but he was not found in that house during the raid. However an officer said the other brother might be sent to Jihad according to family decision.
Rasel, who was a level-8 student of Mastermind School at Dhanmondi, has become irregular in class for the last few months. He might have been motivated by his parents to be a bad boy, sources added.
Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crimes (CTTC) unit captured three suspected female bully boyz during a raid at a bad boy den in Dhaka’s Azimpur area last night while another killed himself on last Saturday.

[IsraelTimes] Bourhan Hraichie, who allegedly carved Islamic State symbol into cellmate’s forehead earlier this year, pens letter discussing beheading plans
A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with planning a terrorist act in Australia, police said Wednesday.
Police said the man, Bourhan Hraichie, 19, who is in prison over a separate issue, has been charged with drawing up a document connected with preparation for a terrorist act.
Police did not reveal details but The Sydney Morning Herald said that documents allegedly found in the man’s cell included a letter discussing plans to behead people.
Hraichie, who is due to face a Sydney court on October 12, has also been charged with an act in preparation for or planning a terrorist act and with delivering a document threatening to kill a person.
The Herald said Hraichie had threatened to kill New South Wales corrective services commissioner Peter Severin.
Hraichie was moved to a high security prison earlier this year after allegedly trying to carve an Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... "eye for an eye" symbol ["e4e"] into his cellmate’s forehead, choking him and pouring boiling water on him -- acts for which he was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and intentionally choking a person, the paper said.
The charges come just days after a 22-year-old man, who police said was "inspired by" the Islamic State group, stabbed a 59-year-old man out walking in southwestern Sydney, leaving him with serious injuries.
Last week a teenage boy was also charged with making threats at the Sydney Opera House. Both incidents follow a recent call by IS urging followers to target high-profile Australian sites.
New South Wales police said the unnamed man was being held on remand at a jail in Goulburn, 200 kilometers (125 miles) from Sydney, over other matters, and the latest charges followed the seizure of material at the prison.
"There is no current threat to the community as a result of today’s activity," NSW police said in a joint statement with their federal counterparts.
Officials say they have stopped 10 terror attacks in Australia in the past two years, with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull saying the threat of a terror attack in his nation was "real."

[THEDAILYBEAST] You’ve never heard Colin Powell talk like this.
The former secretary of state and four-star Army general who has been in the national spotlight since he was Ronald Reagan’s national security advisor let loose on Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzla and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another William H. Seward ... ("greedy, not transformational"), her husband Bill (still "dicking bimbos"), and Donald Trump (a "national disgrace").
The frank, biting version of Powell made public is thanks to private emails that appeared on dcleaks.com, a mysterious repository for hacked information suspected to be of Russian origin. Powell’s office confirmed to The New York Times ...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... that the emails were genuine.
His criticism of Hillary Clinton, for example, reflects a skepticism that you would respect from a man who served in a Republican administration.
"Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris," he wrote in one email.
Powell’s negative appraisal was also tempered by his personal relationship with the Democratic presidential nominee, whom he got to know when he served as Bill Clinton ...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of is... ’s chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and later when she served as his successor at the State Department.
"I would rather not have to vote for her," Powell wrote in 2014, "although she is a friend I respect."
Both friend and respect appear to have unique personal definitions for the good general (ret'd).
Powell’s assessment was that Clinton had a track record of "unbridled ambition."
Possibly he wrote that with admiration...
The leaked emails also reveal Powell’s attempts to avoid being blamed for Hillary Clinton’s controversial email server setup. In recent days Democrats have been trying to take the heat off Clinton’s arrangement by releasing an email showing Powell giving her advice on how to use email.
"Sad thing... HRC could have killed this two years ago by merely telling everyone honestly what she had done and not tie me into it," Powell wrote in one email last month. "I told her staff three times not to try that gambit. I had to throw a mini tantrum at a Hamptons party to get their attention."
Powell also had a harsh judgment of Bill Clinton, who he served under, as someone "still dicking bimbos at home." Powell had served as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under the George H.W. Bush administration, and continued in that position for less than a year under Clinton’s administration.
It’s no surprise Powell doesn’t like Trump, but he’s kept that opinion to himself. In emails though, he was absolutely blistering about the Republican presidential nominee.
"He is at 1% black voters and will drop," Powell wrote, citing the birther campaign Trump ran as a major reason. "He takes us for idiots."
Of the birther movement, which Trump promoted, he expressed consternation that President Barack Obama I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money... was born a "secret Moslem."
"As I have said before, ’What if he was?’ Moslems are born as Americans everyday," Powell said, adding that he thought "the whole birther movement was racist."

MY Military Commanders keep their Loyality to the cause and that has NEVER been the piece of shit democrat party which always gets US IN a war, will neither let US win a war or fund it to fruition. And the global costs are staggering.
He is a playfool in the circuit. Caring about troops is ensuring they are not needed again.
The Democrat party is EVIL, EVIL, EVIL. And he has no idea what he is doing. He is as dumb as a private with stars in his eyes when he votes for people like Obama.
#5
"As I have said before, ’What if he was?’ Moslems are born as Americans everyday," Powell said
Because, like Hillary's health, it would change a lot of votes.
What he is saying is people don't have the right to choose which individuals represents them. Only the party has that right. Which is unfortunately the case in most of the world.
#7
Not surprising, the media jackels completely glossed over Powell's comments about Bubba. Can you imagine if Ivanka (whatever her name is) was suspected of sleeping around? But for Clinton Inc it's just a snicker and move on.
#11
I think Powell was close to running in 2000 and his wife counseling him not to for fear of being assassinated (being the first black President and all). He listened and Obama got that title. The US was ready for a black President after all.
Too bad as Powell despite all his faults would have been far better than Obama.
When the General decided not to run for President he should have faded into the Sunset.
[DAWN] The Permanent Representative of Pakistain to the United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... in Geneva, Ambassador Tehmina Janjua, on Wednesday welcomed the remarks by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights regarding excessive use of force by Indian security forces in India-held Kashmire (IHK).
"Pakistain supported the position of the High Commissioner that an OHCHR team should visit India-Indian Kashmiree to independently and impartially investigate the grave violations being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces over the past two months," said Janjua.
She added the visit by the UN team would help address the culture of impunity which is prevalent in IHK.
Ambassador Janjua said claims of restraint shown by India are simply preposterous.
"Jammu and Kashmire is an international issue recognised as such by a number of UNSC resolutions," the permanent representative told the Human Rights Commission.

[ALMASDARNEWS] In a somewhat silent ten-day offensive, ISIS fighters have gradually retaken three hill tops from rebel factions in the mountainous terrain of eastern Qalamoun.
Effectively, Jaish al-Islam ...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful... and the Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... (FSA) affiliated Ahmad al-Abdo brigade have lost control of Jabal Zubaydi, Tall Daba'a and Jabal al-Afa'i.
Rebel factions and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) are still on good terms in the eastern Qalamoun, a somewhat rare scenario in other Syrian regions still affected by more than 5 years of war.
Previously, the SAA has provided air support against ISIS in favor of Jaish al-Islam and the Ahmad al-Abdo brigade. In turn, rebel commanders have vowed not to harass nearby SAA forces.

[THEWEEK] Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as For a good time at 3 a.m. call Hillary and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Charles Evans Hughes ... 's newest book is a certifiable flop by the publishing industry's standards, The New York Times ...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reports. Stronger Together sold only 2,912 copies in its first week of sales according to Nielsen BookScan, which charts about 80 percent of nationwide physical book sales. By comparison, Clinton's 2014 memoir Hard Choices, which also didn't meet expectations, sold over 85,000 copies in its first week, and Clinton's 2003 memoir, Living History, sold six times as many copies as Hard Choices.
Stronger Together is co-authored by Clinton's running mate, Tim Kaine, and "presents [their] agenda in full, relating stories from the American people and outlining the Clinton/Kaine campaign's plans on everything from apprenticeships to the Zika virus," the Amazon description says. One Amazon reviewer remarked that Stronger Together was "far more interesting than I'd thought this book would be," giving it five stars. Most negative reviews were about the candidate, and not the book itself.
To promote the book, Clinton will "do a series of Stronger Together speeches over the course of the next several weeks," said campaign front man Jennifer Palmieri.

[IsraelTimes] Strike against former Mosul pharmaceuticals factory eliminates ’significant chemical threat’ from jihadist group
American warplanes eliminated a "significant chemical threat" to Iraqi civilians by bombing a complex of buildings near the northern city of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... that Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... Death Eaters had converted from pharmaceutical manufacturing to chemical weapons production, the three-star general in charge of US air operations in the Middle East said Tuesday.
Air Force Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Harrigian told news hounds at the Pentagon that the target was an Islamic State headquarters also used to produce lethal chemicals, possibly including chlorine and mustard gas.
He provided no details on the chemical production.
Harrigian described the Arclight airstrike as a large, well-planned operation, which destroyed more than 50 targets at the site with a variety of US warplanes, including Air Force B-52 bombers and Marine Corps F-18D attack planes.
Other US officials said later that a total of 12 US planes were used.
Harrigian said the mission was part of a broader effort to cut off the Islamic State’s main sources of revenue, kill their leaders and create "organizational dysfunction" in ways that will eliminate the group as a military threat in Iraq and Syria.

[RUDAW.NET] Amid ongoing hostility between Iran and Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... , the Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif wrote an op-ed for The New York Times ...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... in which he denounced Riyadh for promulgating Wahhabism across the region and called for an abolition of that ideology, which has been described as the main source of global terrorism.
In the article published on Tuesday, Zarif claimed that "tainted petrodollars" are helping to fuel a narrative which is attempting to convince the world that the former al-Qaeda affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... group in Syria has now become a moderate group. This, he charged, is part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to continuously support and fund such forces.
These moves on the part of Riyadh, Zarif claimed, are "based on the false premise that plunging the Arab world into further chaos will somehow damage Iran."
Zarif argued that Riyadh is playing up fears of an Iranian threat in order to justify its continued support to dangerous Islamist groups across the region, which he stressed are as big a threat to Sunni Arabs as they are to Shiites.
This cannot last, he wrote, "as the realization grows that Riyadh’s persistent sponsorship of extremism repudiates its claim to be a force for stability."
The Wahhabist ideology which Riyadh has promoted for decades, Zarif argued, has inspired, "virtually every terrorist group abusing the name of Islam ‐ from Al Qaeda and its offshoots in Syria to Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... in Nigeria."
The Iranian Foreign Minister’s editorial comes as tensions between Tehran and Riyadh continue to escalate in the aftermath of the Hajj stampede in Mecca in September 2015 and the Saudi execution of the Shiite holy man Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr last January ‐ which was followed by an Iranian mob ransacking the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the severing of ties between the two regional powers.
Since that time Riyadh has endorsed the Mujahideen-e Khalq (MEK) Death Eater group which seeks to overthrow the Iranian regime, and the proxy war between the two countries across the region, most notably in Syria and Yemen, continues.
Nevertheless Zarif concluded his article by suggesting Riyadh could possibly be part of solution.
"We invite Saudi rulers to put aside the rhetoric of blame and fear, and join hands with the rest of the community of nations to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and violence that threatens us all," he wrote.

Zarif claimed that "tainted petrodollars" are helping to fuel a narrative
Take your vaunted IRG and swim or row across the Persian Gulf (after all it's named after you, right?) and march through Riyadh on your way to Mecca and put an end to it once and for all. I'm sure Allan would approve, no?

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) bombing of the Peshmerga frontline in Bashiqa on Wednesday evening.
Hamid Afandi, in charge of the Peshmerga forces on the Bashiqa frontline, told Rudaw, "On the Bashiqa frontline because of the ISIS attack, a Peshmerga from the 7th brigade of the Ministry of Peshmerga was killed on Wednesday."
"At 6:30 pm on Wednesday, a Peshmerga was injured by an ISIS attack on the frontline. He was sent to Erbil and some hours later he died," Afandi added.
Latif Qadir was from Batasa town in the Soran district.
Bashiqa town is located northeast of djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... . Peshmerga have been fighting ISIS along the frontline in the Bashiqa area for two years.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Two migrant aid workers from Germany who were held by Libyan coastguards have been freed, the group Sea Eye said on Wednesday, adding that the circumstances of their arrest remain unclear. The two were released late Monday, said Hans-Peter Buschheuer, front man for the humanitarian group that rescues migrants colonists at sea who are trying to reach Europe from North Africa.
Libya's navy had said the group's vessel, Speedy, had entered Libyan waters, and that the aid workers had sought to flee but stopped after warning shots were fired. It later said the two men admitted falling asleep before realizing they were no longer in international waters.
"We have no written proof of the original location at the time of the arrest because Speedy was also taken and is still in Libya," he said. "But close to where the arrest took place, there were other NGOs from different countries... who saw the event and can attest that we were outside the 12-mile zone -- that is, we were in international waters," he said.
Sea Eye is now working on securing the release of the ship, he said.
"We are working with the help of the German embassy in Libya to obtain the release of the ship," said Buschheuer. "If that fails, then we would have to file a suit. The ship is worth 110,000 euros ($120,000) and an important part of our future rescues."

During an often-contentious hearing Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, took on the B.O. regime for what has become his latest signature issue: internet oversight.
The B.O. regime is due to relinquish U.S. control Oct. 1 over a private-sector, nonprofit organization that administers internet domain names and designations. Cruz warned that the Internet Corp. for Assigned Names and Numbers will not on its own honor U.S. protections of free speech, and he is leading an effort to delay or stop the transfer.
"Under the guardianship of the United States and the First Amendment the internet has become truly an oasis of freedom, but that could soon change," Cruz said at a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts, which he chairs.
"It is not a democratic body," Cruz said of the organization, which includes such internet stakeholders as Google and Facebook and is based in Los Angeles. And he warned that authoritarian countries such as China, Russia and Iran could exert control over the organization and censor internet use in their countries.

Tell your CEO that you are turning the company network over to the United Nations and see how long it takes for security to escort you straight to the parking lot.

I'd be perhaps more concerned about it being used a tax revenue source, and the potential to seriously break the global internet by distributing what ICANN currently does, both for censorship and financial purposes.
It could end up like Libya where everyone is fighting to get their hands on the oil (internet) revenues.

[Jpost] The strikes came in response to a Gazook rocket that hit Israel.
The Israel Air Force struck three Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, terror infrastructure sites in the Gazoo Strip in response to an earlier rocket fired at Israel, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said Thursday morning.
The northern Gazoo sites reportedly belonged to the Hamas terror group.
Late on Wednesday night, a mortar shell landed in Israel in an open field in the Eshkol Regional Council, near the security fence with Gazoo. The mortar firing did not prompt a red alert siren and there were no reports of damage or injury from the incident.
This latest rocket comes one day after firings along the country's northern border. On Tuesday, three mortar shells fired from Syria slammed into the Golan Heights, ramping up tensions on the northern border hours after IAF jets struck Syrian artillery guns and were targeted by two surface-to-air missiles fired at them from Syria in the predawn hours of Tuesday.
[Libya Observer] Four foreigners and two Libyans were freed from ISIS prisons in Libya's Sirte.
The foreigners were identified as "Lee Yong" (58) and "Seo Young Ju" (56) from North Korea, and "Kira Keshuna" (40) and "Palarma Kishen" (53) from India.
In a video posted on social media on Wednesday, "Lee Yong" said they were tossed into the calaboose for 16 month inside a small room.
"They detained us in a room inside Ahmed Ibrahim's house, no sun, no light," he said.
Meanwhile, ...back at the comedy club, Boogie ducked another tomato... calm is prevailing in most of Sirte's front lines as the radical ISIS group has been cornered in an area of 1 km2 in some parts of residential area 3, sea-view Jiza apartment buildings and 600 neighborhood.

According to al-Masdar's Yemen War correspondent Tony Toh, the Houthi forces captured a number of military sites at the village of al-Rabiah in the Sirwah District, killing 22 Hadi loyalists and wounding 34 other bully boyz after a fierce battle.
The Marib Governorate is considered one of 'Abd Rubbah Mansour Hadi's strongholds in northern Yemen; it was supposed to be a launching point for his loyalists in the Sanaa Governorate.
However, some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves... the Houthi forces have turned the table on the Hadi loyalists, capturing much of eastern Sanaa and advancing eastward to the Marib Governorate's axis.

[Libya Herald] Exports from Zueitina oil terminal are to recommence “immediately”, Mustafa Sanalla, the chairman of the reunited National Oil Corporation (NOC) said today, announcing plans to lift force majeure at the port. It will, however, take a little longer at Ras Lanuf and Sidra because of repair work needed at both places, he said.
He was speaking in Zueitina which he was visiting to assess the situation at the three oil terminals. They were taken at the beginning of the week by the Libyan National Army led by General Khalifa Hafter from the Petroleum Facilities Guard loyal to Ibrahim Jahdran.
In a statement last night that technical teams had already started assessing what needed to be done to lift force majeure and restart exports, Sanalla predicted that production could be raised from around 290,000 b/d at present to 600,000 b/d within four weeks and to 950,000 b/d by the end of the year.
“However, this is dependent on receiving essential funds from the budget and on the Oil Crescent ports and the closed pipelines in the southwest being opened and kept open,” he said.
“We welcome statements from the Libyan National Army allied with House of Representatives (HoR) and the president of the HoR, Ageela Saleh, that the ports should be placed under NOC’s control,” he also added.
Last month, the NOC started shipping 620,000 barrels of oil from the storage tanks in Zueitina to Zawia for protection after fears that there would be fighting there between the LNA and PFG.
The move was made with the approval of the HoR and the LNA both of which have said since Sunday’s takeover that the terminals would be handed over to the reunited NOC.

What does the Texas Railroad Commission have to say about these hijinks?
(IraqiNews.com) Qayyarah – North Oil Company’s firefighter crew has successfully doused the blazes at three more oil wells in the district.
“At least 11 oil fields were set on fire by the escaping ISIS members before the Iraqi army re-captured the district last month,” informed a security source in Qayyarah seeking anonymity.
“The oil fields were set ablaze by the fleeing ISIS members as they used the flames and the smoke as cover to escape the sight of the international coalition jets,” added the source.
Asim Jihad, a spokesperson for the Iraqi oil minister, confirmed that their firefighter units on Wednesday controlled the fire at three more oil wells. Two other oil wells are still on fire with the crews struggling to control the blazes.
After months of armed confrontations, the Iraqi army announced the liberation of the central Qayyarah district on August 25, weeks after the recapturing of the Qayyarah air base.
(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – On Tuesday night, warning leaflets were showered by Iraqi fighter jets at different areas of Nineveh province, warning the civilians of the imminent attack on ISIS in the area.
A source in the Ministry of Interior, Iraq, said, “Iraqi warplanes on Tuesday night dropped a huge number of warning leaflets over the northern province of Nineveh, urging the civilians to keep away from the ISIS positions since they will be targeted by the jets.”
As per information available with Iraqi News, the leaflet in Arabic when translated to English read – “The Iraqi forces will continue to liberate your areas from ISIS, therefore we ask you to stay away from the locations of the outfit”.
The leaflet also requested the residents of Mosul to cooperate with the security forces to bring life in their areas back to its normal phase.
The Iraqi jets have dropped warning leaflets several times over the past few months and urged the civilians to leave their areas if possible, and stay away from the military bases in order to protect themselves from the impending assault on ISIS
The US and Iraqi military officials have recently stated that preparations for an ultimate assault on Mosul have been made and the city will be liberated by the end of this year.

ADEN (Yemen) - A drone strike in central Yemen has killed five Al-Qaeda suspects, security officials and a tribal chief said on Wednesday.
The late Tuesday attack in Rada, a town in the central province of Baida, targeted a car carrying the suspected jihadists, a tribal chief said.
The United States has been involved in a years-long unmanned drone campaign in Yemen and is thought to have carried out dozens of strikes against what it says are Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) members.
AQAP and the Islamic State group have exploited a power vacuum created by the conflict between the government and Iran-backed rebels to expand their presence in the Arabian Peninsula country.
The US has vowed to continue its campaign against AQAP, which it considers to be the Al-Qaeda network's deadliest franchise.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Niger’s defense ministry says at least five soldiers and 30 Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... bandidosfaceless myrmidons have been killed after an ambush by the Nigeria-based Islamic turbans led to fighting.
Col. Moustapha Michel Ledru said the attack on soldiers Monday near Toumour, about 65 kilometers (40 miles) northeast of the town of Diffa, also injured six soldiers.
He spoke Tuesday night on national television, saying the army captured two turbans along with a large quantity of arms and ammunition.
Ledru also said two soldiers were killed Sept. 8 when their vehicle hit an improvised bomb during a patrol near Barwa locality in the Diffa region.
Boko Haram has been launching attacks across Nigeria’s borders into Niger, Chad and Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... , which contribute to a multinational force that seeks to counter it.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates... is the latest Gulf country to mobilize their forces to help the Saudi-led Coalition after four of their own soldiers were killed yesterday in Yemen.
According to a report released by al-Jazeera News today, approximately 1,000 Qatari soldiers, 200 armored vehicles, and 30 Apache helicopters were deployed to Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... to participate in the Saudi-led aggression.
"The troops are now reportedly heading to Yemen's Maareb province, to join the Saudi-led coalition already fighting in the area," al-Jazeera added.
More Qatari servicemen will be deployed to Yemen in the near future, the report concluded.
The reason for the influx of Qatari soldiers is still unknown; however, it is likely to do with yesterday's situation that involved several Qatari military personnel.

30 Apache helicopters were deployed to Yemen
That seems excessive, esp for 1000 soldiers.
According to wikipedia, 24 Apaches are on order. Other sources say that 24 were ordered in March 2014. So few, if any, are likely to have arrived in Qatar.
Muffy, I'm beginning to have doubts on he veracity of Shia news sources.
[ALMASDARNEWS] Russian General Staff official Viktor Poznikhir said his country calls for extending the ceasefire in Syria for another 48 hours in spite of repealed violations by armed opposition.
"In accordance with the Russian-US agreements, the existing 48-hour ceasefire is expiring today at 7pm [local time]. We note that recently the cessation of hostilities was observed in full. As of this morning the overall number of violations by the holy warriors has reached 60," Poznikhir commented.
The top Russian official also underlined the necessity of fully implementing the agreement, making clear that the Russian government "is in favor of extending the ceasefire across Syria for another 48 hours".
A nationwide ceasefire was implemented in Syria on Monday at 7 pm, with the exception of Jabhet al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... and ISIS.

A jihadi commander along with his four family members were killed on Wednesday in a Taliban ambush in Baghlan province, officials said.
District police chief Muhabullah confirmed the incident and said that the former jihadi commander, Samar, and four of his family members, were killed in a Taliban ambush in Choraq village in Baghlan-e-Markazi on Wednesday.
Two others were wounded in the ambush, he added.
According to Muhabullah, the target had been Samar.
[Wash Times] The Democratic attorney general of New York who has opened investigations of climate fraud against oil companies picked a new target Tuesday -- Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said during an appearance on CNN on Tuesday afternoon that he was concerned that the Donald J. Trump Foundation was breaking laws and regulations related to charitable groups.
According to multiple news outlets shortly afterward, Mr. Schneiderman formally opened an investigation despite having declined to investigate the Clinton Foundation and having endorsed Mrs. Clinton for president.
"My interest in this issue really is in my capacity as regulator of nonprofits in New York state. And we have been concerned that the Trump Foundation may have engaged in some impropriety from that point of view," Mr. Schneiderman told CNN’s "The Lead" program Tuesday afternoon.
Did he hire the investigators and lawyers from Travis County, Texas, who indicted Rick Perry?
Mr. Schneiderman said that while his office "didn’t make a big deal out of it or hold a press conference," it already had looked into some of the claims against the Trump Foundation and had addressed concerns to the foundation. Correspondence posted by reporters indicate exchanges going back to June.

Another democrat wasting public time and money for political means. Could have investigated long ago were it a major problem. I could think of thousands of investigations they need to prioritize but go for it you corrupt fool.
[FREEP] Ford is shifting all North American small-car production from the U.S. to Mexico, CEO Mark Fields told investors today in Dearborn, even though its plans to invest in Mexico have become a lightning rod for controversy in this year's presidential election.
"Over the next two to three years, we will have migrated all of our small-car production to Mexico and out of the United States," Fields said.
Ford isn't the first automaker move small car production out of the U.S. as Mexico has become a mecca for new automotive industry investment and has surpassed Canada in annual automotive production.
Still, the news sparked a fresh round of criticism from Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was in Flint on Wednesday.
"We shouldn’t allow it to happen. They’ll make their cars, they’ll employ thousands of people, not from this country and they’ll sell their car across the border," Trump said. "When we send our jobs out of Michigan, we’re also sending our tax base."
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said earlier this year it will end production of all cars in the U.S. by the end of this year as it discontinues production of the Dodge Dart in Belvidere, Ill. and the Chrysler 200 in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Years ago, gorb, General Motors tried to sell a car in Mexico that had been very popular in the United States. You may have all heard this story but the name of the car was Nova which sounds just fine in English. Unfortunately, they didn't know that "no va" means "no go" in Spanish.
Anyway, the United Auto Workers have always demanded more and more and more money. They have always been one of the leading causes of inflation. Now they have priced themselves out of the market.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
But Ford, GM and Chrysler management went merrily along. They were always happy to pass the cost increases to the consumer. Now just ask yourself, if you have a choice between a car made in Mexico and a car made in Japan, which one are you going to buy?

When I HAVE to replace it, another CRV.
All the American car "manufacturers" can go to hell. There's nothing patriotic about buying junk at a premium price.

On my second Accord that should be my last car unless the wife demands we switch to one since we're now both retired.
I'd still be on the first one that only had 120k on it 'cept a 90' pine triee fell on it in a wind storm and turned it into a really low rider. Even after they chainsawed it out and pried open the door and hood they jumped it and drove it onto the tow truck. Heck of a car.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] French police on Wednesday incarcerated Into the paddy wagon wit' yez! a 15-year old suspected of planning an attack and using encrypted social media channels to communicate with a French Islamist holy warrior believed to be in Syria or Iraq, sources said.
In an operation led by La Belle France’s domestic intelligence agency, police swooped on the teenager in Gay Paree’ eastern 20th arrondissement. Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve confirmed the operation.
"We’re working with extreme intensity to identify those we think are likely to carry out an attack," he told news hounds, adding that Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... was recruiting "younger and younger individuals".
It is the second time a 15-year-old minor suspected of plotting to kill in the name of ISIS has been arrested in five days. A source inside the prosecutor’s office said both youngsters had used Telegram to communicate with Rachid Kassim, an ISIS holy warrior of French nationality.
Their arrests follow the detention of three women, including a 19-year-old, who had allegedly wanted to attack a Gay Paree railway station using a car laden with gas cylinders.
La Belle France is reeling from a wave of holy warrior attacks on its territory that have killed more than 230 people since January, 2015, and its intelligence services are struggling to dismantle a web of holy warrior networks inside the country.
The attacks have varied in style and profile of killer: In November last year, a squad of jacket wallahs and gunnies killed 130 people in a sophisticated and coordinated attack on multiple sites in Gay Paree; In July, a Tunisian delivery man killed 86 people when he drove his truck through a crowd on Nice’s seafront; and two murderous Moslems knifed to death an elderly priest at his altar in a church in northern La Belle France.
"What sets La Belle France apart (from other European nations) is the wide-open profile of recruit: urban or rural, Moslem or convert, man or woman," said Arnaud Danjean, a European Parliament politician who specializes in defense and security.
"Acts like the attempted attack with gas cylinders, the throat-slitting of a priest, or the guy who ploughs his truck through a crowd, that today is the face of this threat" in La Belle France, said Danjean.

[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] A political action committee is looking to figure out whether it can safely use the Internet to support national political candidates, or whether the Federal Election Commission might seize the opportunity to impose the kind of regulations Democrats have been striving to attain.
The request for an advisory opinion, filed on behalf of Citizen Super PAC, asks the FEC whether it would be permissible to email supporters of a candidate's campaign, or whether that would cross a line prohibiting coordination with candidates.
"If a PAC mails out 1,000 letters soliciting funds for a candidate to its mailing list, then the cost of those mailers constitute either an independent expenditure or an in-kind contribution to the candidate if the letter was sent in coordination between the PAC and the candidate," explained Chris Gober, a co-founder of the PAC.
Stay abreast of the latest developments from nation's capital and beyond with curated News Alerts from the Washington Examiner news desk and delivered to your inbox.
"In contrast, if the same PAC sends 100,000 emails to their own email list soliciting funds for the same candidate, then neither the cost of that email nor the utilization of the email list is treated as an independent expenditure or an in-kind contribution to the candidate."
Super PACs, named for their ability to accept unlimited funds and make unlimited expenditures to influence federal races, have a limited ability to work with candidates in the real world, Gober pointed out. Candidates can speak at fundraisers for the organizations, and they can solicit contributions for the PACs up to $5,000.
Citizen Super PAC is charting new territory in the digital frontier. The organization allows users to set up pages on its website to raise funds for candidates that users support, in what it calls an effort to "democratize" political spending and "increase participation in the political marketplace."
Gober is seeking to take that initiative to the next level by asking candidates for their email lists, beginning with Nevada Republican Rep. Joe Heck, for whom a user recently established a page. If a fundraising target for Heck of $10,000 is met as a result of that collaboration, Gober will try to figure out whether the organization can safely spend that money on Facebook ads in support of his re-election campaign.
"The ad supporting Rep. Heck happens to be the first one around the time the advisory opinion request was ready to be submitted," Gober said, adding the PAC "hopes to launch additional projects in the near future that will be implicated" by the FEC's response.
FEC commissioners have battled with each other for the past several years over whether campaign finance regulations should extend to content on the Internet. Democrats have advocated for expanding the agency's power, arguing that social networking websites such as Twitter and new media outlets like the Drudge Report are wielding undue influence.

[Dhaka Tribune] Wanted by police for bully boy ties, two brothers missing since December last year have posted their photo on Facebook with an Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... flag and guns
Ibrahim Hasan Khan, a high school graduate from Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and resident of Bashundhara area in Dhaka, posted the photo as his profile picture around 10pm Wednesday. He is the one sitting in the middle wearing black shades.
On his right is his brother Junayed Hasan Khan. The one on Ibrahim’s other side could not be identified immediately.
All clad in black, the photo is reminiscent of the Gulshan attackers and the turbans killed in Kallyanpur raid who claimed themselves as IS supporters, except that the three here are holding glasses, apparently of beverage, instead of guns.
In the photo, a rifle is seen kept beside the chair of Ibrahim, who appears to be the leader of the group, while another rifle, two pistols, two magazines of ammunition and a mobile phone rest on the table in front of them.
The photo, however, bears no caption or location details.
The siblings came into limelight after the horrific July 1 Gulshan attack in which 23 people including 17 foreigners were killed by five turbans posing as IS supporters. The brothers’ names appeared on the elite force’s list of missing youths with suspected bully boy links.
Police later said they were looking for the two and 10 others, all accomplices of Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury, the Gulshan attack criminal mastermind killed in a raid in Narayanganj on August 27 this year.
Ibrahim and Junayed’s father Munir Hasan Khan is an expatriate in Saudi Arabia. According to his Facebook profile, Munir Hasan works at Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
Ibrahim studied at Bangladesh International School in Saudi Arabia. Their flat in Bashundhara residential area remains vacant as according to media reports the family has been living abroad for the last one year.
Before posting this photo, Ibrahim remained inactive on the Facebook for more than a year. His last public post on the social media was on July 13, 2015.
