White Professor Fired From Black College Gets $4.9 Million
h/t Instapundit
A Missouri appeals court upheld a $4.85 million racial discrimination award to a white teacher who was fired from Harris-Stowe State University, an historically black college.

A trial jury awarded Elizabeth Wilkins $1.35 million in compensatory damages and $3.5 million in punitive damages on her claim that she was fired in favor of less senior black teachers. She also claimed Dr. Latisha Smith, the temporary co-chair for Harris-Stowe’s Teacher Education Department, repeatedly proclaimed her belief in "black power" in emails.

Harris-Stowe’s defense was crippled by the fact that it deleted emails in Smith’s account, in violation of a court order.
And here I thought that only white males can be discriminatory.

Saudi Arabia Cuts U.S. Oil Exports to Work Down Global Supply Glut
h/t Instapundit
[WSJ] The state-owned Saudi Arabian Oil Co. expects its sales to the U.S. will drop below one million barrels a day in June, then slide to about 850,000 barrels a day in July, according to people familiar with the matter. The July figure would be the its lowest export total to the U.S. for that month since 1988, based on figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Saudi Aramco expects its August exports to decline by another 100,000 barrels a day, these people said, which would be the lowest export amount for that month since 2009.

Many oil traders have questioned whether production cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Companies have done much to reduce a persistent global supply imbalance, in part because U.S. companies have rushed to fill any void left by OPEC.

Plan to airlift 4,000 cows to isolated Qatar to maintain milk supplies
[Guardian] A Qatari businessman is planning to airlift 4,000 Holstein dairy cows into the country as part of efforts to maintain milk supplies during the blockade by Qatar’s Gulf Arab neighbours.

The proposal ‐ described as the biggest airlift of cattle ever attempted ‐ comes as Qatar moves rapidly to open an air and sea bridge via Iran, Turkey and port facilities in Oman.

The plan to fly in the cows was disclosed by Moutaz Al Khayyat, chairman of Power International Holding, to the Bloomberg news agency. Khayyat said it would take as many as 60 flights to deliver the cattle. He had originally planned to import the cows by ship for a newly completed dairy facility near Doha.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates cut diplomatic, economic and transport ties with Qatar on 5 June, accusing Doha of supporting extremist groups.

Until then, Qatar had imported most of its dairy products from neighbouring countries ‐ including Saudi Arabia. Riyadh closed the Qatari peninsula’s only land border, threatening the import of both fresh food and raw materials needed to complete a $200bn infrastructure project for the 2022 football World Cup.

Turkey has replaced products that disappeared from supermarket shelves, including yoghurt and laban, while Morocco and Iran have pledged to supply the emirate with foodstuffs.

Qatar has negotiated new cargo handling arrangements in the Omani ports of Sohar and Salalah, avoiding the need for goods to stop in the UAE. Shipments of containers through the UAE port of Jebel Ali were frozen last week.

NJ Yearbook Advisor Suspended for Altering Photos of Kids Wearing Trump Shirts
We’re sure a paid suspension will teach this moonbat a lesson. She should be fired and the school should replace every yearbook.

The Wall Township High School yearbook advisor is suspended indefinitely as the district investigates why photos were edited to remove images supporting President Donald Trump, a district official said Monday.

The paid suspension comes after parents and students complained that at least two photos of students wearing Trump campaign shirts were edited and a Trump quote was removed from beneath another student’s photo.

Yearbook advisor Susan Parsons, a technology/media teacher, could not be reached by phone. A message to Parsons’ school email account was returned as "undeliverable" and a woman reached at her listed address in Wall Township declined to comment.

Amazing, we found an anti-Trump liberal who finally has shut up.

Parsons has worked in education for 21 years, including 13 in the district, according to state records.

Changes to the yearbook, released on Wednesday, drew the ire of both students and parents in a Wall, a Monmouth County town where Trump carried nearly 63 percent of the vote in November’s election.

Superintendent Cheryl Dyer said last week that the district is investigating the allegation of censorship and possible violation of First Amendment rights.

"There is nothing in our student dress code that would prevent a student from expressing his or her political views and support for a candidate for political office via appropriate clothing," Dyer wrote in a letter to parents. "Rather, I applaud students for becoming involved in politics and for participation in our democratic society."

One of the students whose photo was edited, Grant Berardo, 17, wore his navy blue "TRUMP Make America Great Again" T-shirt to picture day.

The photo proofs came back with the Trump slogan on the shirt and the image is also used on the electronic student ID system, he told The Star-Ledger last week.

But when the yearbook came out, Berardo was wearing a plain blue T-shirt.

Berardo thought the edit was "kind of stupid," he said.

"I mean, he is our president," Berardo said. "He’s the president of the United States. How is that offensive?"

Oliver Stone on Vladimir Putin: ‘The Russian people have never been better off'
[Guardian] The veteran director has been accused of pandering to Putin for his four-hour documentary on the Russian leader, but he remains unrepentant. Could it be the climax to his career?

Have you ever been beaten?" Vladimir Putin poses the question to Oliver Stone close to the end of Stone’s extraordinary four-hour documentary on the Russian leader. "Yes," says Stone. "So, it’s not going to be something new, because you are going to suffer for what you are doing," says the Russian leader, before striding out of a room that conjures the spirit of the Sistine chapel crossed with the most fevered fantasies of Donald Trump’s interior designer.

In this instance, Putin was right. Stone’s epic four-part film The Putin Interviews was described by the Daily Beast as a "wildly irresponsible love letter" to Russia’s president. It "says as much about Oliver Stone as it does Vladimir Putin", said CNN. "Flattery, but little scepticism," said the New York Times.

GOP rep. dismisses Mueller probe: 'What the hell are we investigating?'
[The Hill] A Republican congressman dismissed the special counsel probing Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, calling the FBI probe a Democratic effort to undermine President Trump’s election victory.

During an interview with Fox News that came shortly after a report that the president may be considering firing Mueller, Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) wondered aloud what, exactly, the counsel led by the former FBI director is investigating.

"This seems more like an effort to prosecute Donald Trump than it is to investigate," Duffy said to host Martha MacCallum. "And my concern, Martha, is what the hell are we investigating?"

Duffy’s comments come as Republicans such as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) question Mueller’s ability to lead the probe, noting political donations of Mueller’s staff. In addition to investigating Russian election meddling, the probe is said to be looking into possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.
But Duffy called the investigation a "charade" that is an attempt to undermine the election results.

"Why are we going through this charade of an investigation when there’s no evidence that Donald Trump had anything to do with the Russians?" he asked.

"This is the Democrats’ effort to undermine the election results of last November 8 and get their net end result, which is Donald Trump out of the White House."

Chris Ruddy, the CEO of Newsmax who has a close relationship with Trump, on Monday evening told PBS the president is considering firing Mueller.

The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff(D-Calif.) fired back at that report with a simple message to the president: "Don’t waste our time."

"If President [Trump] fired Bob Mueller, Congress would immediately re-establish independent counsel and appoint Bob Mueller," Schiff tweeted Monday evening. "Don't waste our time."

Swamp Fights Back: Mueller Hires Clinton Foundation Lawyer for Russia Probe
[Breitbart] The news comes on the eve of Attorney General Jeff Sessions testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committe on the Russia investigation. This follows a hearing featuring the testimony of fired FBI director James Comey before the same body.

Mueller -- who, on his appointment by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, took independent control of the investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 elections -- had a shadow cast on his impartiality when Comey, a one-time mentee of Mueller’s who suceeded him at the Bureau, revealed under oath that he deliberately leaked a potentially privileged memo to the press specifically to ensure the appointment of a special counsel.

The ploy worked. Rosenstein, who was handling the investigation because Sessions had already recused himself based on his involvement in the 2016 Trump presidential campaign, came under immense political pressure to appoint a special counsel. Mueller was quickly applauded as an impartial choice by voices across the political spectrum.

Since his appointment, he has made signals as to the criminal nature of his investigation, hiring Andrew Weissmann, the former head of the DOJ criminal division’s fraud section, and former Deputy Solicitor General Michael Dreeben.

A more controversial pick of Mueller’s was former prosecutor and WilmerHale partner Jeannie Rhee. In 2015, according to Politico, she performed work for the Clinton Foundation, defending it from FOIA requests related to Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

These developements have raised some red flags on the right. For example, Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told Fox News, "This is going to be a witch hunt."

Gingrich: ‘Congress Should Now Intervene and Abolish the Independent Counsel'
[Breitbart] Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Sunday in an interview on New York AM 970 radio show "The Cats Roundtable" that it was very clear that former FBI Director James Comey hated President Donald Trump after he made it known he leaked memos.

He also urged Congress to act to abolish the independent counsel established by the Department of Justice to investigate alleged ties between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russia.

Gingrich told host John Catsimatidis, "The more amazing thing I thought that Comey did that I think is going to have a lot of repercussions is Comey admitted publicly, in fact, boasted about it, that he had deliberately leaked ... in order to set up the pressure to get a special, independent counsel. And I think that is an astonishing statement."

"[I]t’s very clear that Comey hates Trump," he continued. "I think Congress should now intervene and should abolish the independent counsel because Comey makes so clear that it’s the poison fruit of a deliberate manipulation by the FBI director leaking to the New York Times to deliberately set up this particular situation. I think it is very sick."

From The Local from various countries and a few miscellaneous other sources:
4 Syrians face terrorism charges in Germany
12 June
[Ynet] German authorities say they've arrested four Syrians on terrorism charges for allegedly fighting for an extremist group in their homeland.

Mustafa K., 41, Abdullah K., 39, Sultan K., 44, and Ahmed K., 51, whose last names weren't released according to privacy regulations, are accused of membership in a terrorist organization for fighting for the Nusra Front in the northern Syrian city Ras al-Ayn starting in late 2012. Federal prosecutors said in a statement Monday they were allegedly involved in the group's fight against Syrian government troops and Kurdish defense forces.

Germany arrests alleged darknet purveyor of weapons, drugs
12 June
[DW] German authorities arrested the suspected administrator of a darknet platform that sold illegal weapons and drugs, federal prosecutors announced on Monday. The site, which had some 20,000 members, is reportedly responsible for selling weapons to the teenager who killed 10 people including himself at a shooting in Munich last year.

The 30-year-old, whose name was not released, was arrested on Thursday after a months-long investigation into his business. Police suspect that he has run the darknet site since 2013, trafficking not only in drugs and weapons but also in credit card numbers and account passwords.

The July 22, 2016 shooting in Munich shocked Germany, a place where such occurrences are rare for a country that allows (under certain restricted circumstances) private gun ownership. The 18-year-old perpetrator killed 9 people and injured 36 more after he opened fire at a McDonald's franchise near a shopping mall.

Two men charged over refugee home blast 'received military training in Russia'
9 June
[TheLocal.se] The three men were charged on Friday in connection with a series of bomb incidents in the western city of Gothenburg last winter. One man is accused of having constructed all three bombs, another of providing the explosives and a third of placing the bomb on the campsite, Sweden's prosecutorial authority said on Friday.

All three men have been linked to the neo-Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement; however, the attacks are not believed to be directly connected to the organization.

"Rather, there are indications that they were dissatisfied with the leadership within the Nordic Resistance Movement for not wanting to use violence to the same extent as they wanted to," said Ljungqvist. "We can also see that two of the suspects shortly before the attacks received military training in Russia."

Geneva airport staff receive training to spot signs of radicalization
7 June
[TheLocal.ch] Security personnel at Geneva airport have been taking a new course to help them spot the signs of radicalization among their colleagues, according to media reports.

Indeed, at the end of 2015 over 30 baggage handlers had their security passes revoked after it came to light that two of them, both French citizens, were on the radar of the French security services who believed them to have been radicalized. The incident led to a spat between the French and Swiss authorities, with the French refusing to give Switzerland information vital for security checks on 200 French workers hired by the airport.

Currently, baggage handlers are not receiving the new training, which applies to some 370 airport workers and 450 personnel from private security companies. However the course may be extended to other pass-holders once it has been evaluated, said Le Temps.

Isis uses Nutella jars and cat GIFs to lure Westerners: study
7 June
[TheLocal.se] Isis uses Western imagery, Nutella jars and cat GIFs to tempt young people in the West to join its caliphate, a new Swedish study found.

Imagery of violence and weapons alone are not the way to go if you want to attract young Westerners to join Isis. Instead, the violent extremist group pushes its 'Jihadi Cool' subculture to draw in people from the West, according to a group of Swedish researchers who have studied Isis propaganda

The study, titled The Digital Caliphate: A study of propaganda from the Islamic State, was carried out by the Swedish Defence Research Agency (Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut, FOI).

Italian police bust migrant trafficking ring in Sicily
6 June
[TheLocal.it] The Italian police said on Tuesday that they had broken a smuggling ring between Tunisia and Sicily which was preparing to bring migrants with suspected jihadist links to Europe. The "Scorpionfish" operation had been shadowing the group since January, targeting 15 Italian or Tunisian citizens sought by arrest warrants.

The traffickers carried about 15 migrants paying 2,000 to 3,000 euros each and dozens of kilos of cigarettes, with each crossing generating around 40,000 euros ($45,000).

With summer approaching they were preparing to increase the number of trips to two a week, using speedboats to cross from northeast Tunisia to the Trapani region in western Sicily in about four hours.

The group was apparently willing to bring over people sought by Tunisian authorities for serious crimes or possible links with jihadists, but the police broke up the network before a trip carrying these suspects could be made.

The Tunisian coast guard has struggled to keep up with smuggling gangs using high-performance vessels to ferry people across the Strait of Sicily.

Man who murdered young child in refugee home was ex-convict
6 June
[TheLocal.de] Prosecutors in Regensburg revealed on Monday that an Afghan asylum seeker who stabbed a five-year-old boy to death on Saturday was wearing an ankle monitor at the time.

The man had been convicted of arson by a Munich court in 2009 and sentenced to five years and ten months in jail, the prosecutors revealed. Since then he had been wearing an electronic ankle monitor, which was intended to prevent him leaving the refugee camp in Arnschwang, near the Czech border, where the crime took place.

Munich tried to have the man deported in 2014, but he fought a successful legal case against the expulsion, claiming that he had converted to Christianity and that his life would be in danger in Afghanistan as a result.
Clearly he doesn't understand what being a Christian entails.

Austrian court jails parents who took kids to live under IS
3 June
[TheLocal.at] An Austrian court on Friday sentenced to up to 10 years in jail two couples who took their children to live in an IS-controlled part of Syria and showed them execution videos. The two men and their wives travelled to Syria with their eight children -- the youngest of whom was two years old -- in December 2014, the trial in the southern city Graz heard.

Defendant Hasan O., 49, denied in court being a member of IS and said that he worked as a masseur treating injured fighters.

"I heard in the mosque (in Graz) that you can live according to Islam there, with freedom for the women and children," he told the trial.

The dream soon went sour, however, and the families fled Syria in April 2016. Turkey then extradited them to Austria and the children were taken into care. All four -- Hasan O. and his wife Kata O., Enes S. and his wife Michaela S. -- were convicted of belonging to a terrorist organisation and of mistreating and neglecting children. All except Austrian-born Muslim convert Michaela S. were from Bosnia but all had Austrian citizenship.

German parliament passes law ending child marriage
2 June
[TheLocal.de] The German parliament passed a law ending child marriage late on Thursday night, officially raising the marriageable age to 18.

The new law officially makes 18 the minimum age for marriage. Previously, 16-year-olds were allowed to marry adults in certain cases with court permission.

The legislation also nullifies any existing marriages in which at least one spouse was under the age of 16 at the time of the wedding. This is particularly aimed at marriages done outside of Germany.

Courts will also be able to nullify marriages where a spouse was 16 or 17 years old.

Bomb blast kills senior Saudi officer in Qatif region
[Iran Press TV] A senior Saudi police official has been killed and two other coppers maimed in an kaboom that targeted their patrolling vehicle in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. ’s Shia-dominated Eastern Province, the Interior Ministry says.

According to a statement released by Saudi Interior Ministry, a bomb, believed to be an improvised bomb, exploded beside a police patrol car as it was inspecting the old quarter of Awamiyah Village, known as al-Mosara, at 11:30 p.m. local time on Sunday.

The kaboom, which occurred in the restive Qatif region, killed "Major Tariq bin Abdullatif al-A'laqi" and inflicted injuries on two coppers "whose health conditions are stable," further said the ministry, which described the blast as a "terrorist incident."

No individual or group has yet grabbed credit for the attack.

On May 16, a Saudi soldier was also killed and five others were maimed when gunnies fired a rocket-propelled grenade at their patrol car in Awamiyah.

ISIS turbans have killed more than 40 Shia Moslems since the terror group began a campaign of bombings and shootings in Eastern Province in 2014.

Furthermore, the Shia-populated Eastern Province, particularly the Qatif region, has been the scene of peaceful demonstrations since February 2011. Protesters, complaining of marginalization in the Sunni-ruled kingdom, have been demanding reforms, freedom of expression, the release of political prisoners, and an end to economic and religious discrimination against the oil-rich region.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian regulars, Iranian militia hammer rebel positions in Daraa city
(Reuters) The Syrian army and Iran-backed militia forces have escalated attacks against a rebel-held part of the southern city of Deraa, a possible prelude to a large-scale campaign to wrest full control of the city, rebels and residents said on Monday.

The intensive raids and bombing strikes mainly pounded the southern part of Deraa, strategically located on the border with Jordan and where the uprising against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad erupted six years ago.

The Syrian army has recently intensified dropping barrel bombs, drums or cylinders packed with shrapnel, and has fired hundreds of so-called elephant rockets on Deraa’s old quarter and a former refugee camp nearby, rebels and residents said.

The army has not commented on its troop build-up in Deraa or the escalating aerial bombing. State media has long branded the rebels as foreign-backed “terrorists”.

More reinforcements from the army and its allies, the Iranian-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah and Shi’ite Muslim Iraqi militias, are also being rushed to the city from several locations near the capital, Damascus.

Troops were using the Damascus-Deraa highway, a major supply route where well-fortified trenches on both sides of the road have made it more difficult for rebels to mount attacks.

“The regime has brought large columns of troops from the elite 4th Armoured Division, and also Hezbollah forces,” said Major Issam al Rayes, spokesman of the so-called Southern Front grouping of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) rebels, who are supported by an Arab-Western coalition.

The troops being sent as reinforcements are considered to be the Syrian army’s elite division, which has the best training and equipment.

Rebels say the troop build-up and relentless aerial bombing in recent weeks pointed to a major campaign for what the FSA rebels see as a decisive battle.

“Everything indicates the regime is preparing for a large-scale military campaign in Deraa in which they plan to encircle the city and reach the Jordanian border,” Rayes said.

Adham al-Karad, the commander of the missile brigade in the FSA’s Southern Front, said: “Our surveillance shows troop carriers and heavy armor … if it continues at this same level of reinforcements, this will be very large.”

The army had stepped up its campaign to regain the Manshiya neighborhood, a strategic district that almost completely fell into rebel hands after four months of street battles.

Rebels stormed Manshiya, the last army foothold in Deraa’s rebel-held old quarter, in February to ward off any army attempt to capture a strategic crossing with Jordan.

The army’s control of the crossing, a once-thriving passenger and commercial gateway with Jordan, would sever the rebel link between the eastern and western parts of the province they control, dealing a major blow to their cause in the south.

The Syrian government’s strategic goal is to open a direct route from Damascus to the Jordanian border.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Why is Hamas refusing to lay down arms?
[Al Jazeera] ... Hamas' stockpiling of military power does not mean that it is necessarily heading for a fourth military confrontation with Israel. Rather it is working to reach a state of constant readiness in fear that Israel will strike it first in a surprise attack, and that is something the movement should be very wary of.

Perhaps Hamas has learned well, or should learn, that it is difficult for Israel to accept an armed entity on its borders, an entity that proclaims day and night that it intends to destroy it. This opens up the field to many speculations, from the outbreak of a fierce new war the likes of which has never been seen before, to a possible tightening of the siege on Gaza, spelling a slow painful death for its residents that Hamas would not be able to withstand for long, or the third option of a prolonged pause in hostilities, an option that lacks many of the circumstances it would need in order to succeed.

#1  Because then Iran won't give them money.
Posted by: g(r)omgoru || 06/13/2017 5:04 Comments || Top||

#2  Hamas sees that the balance of power between it and Israel is tilted in favour of the latter and it may not be logical to compete with them in a purely operational sense. However, for Hamas, accepting this hypothesis as fact would encourage Israel to invade Gaza periodically and grab its lands with impunity at any time, as it does in the West Bank.

This shows Al Jazeera's stupidity and bigotry. It was Arik Sharon himself (a right wing PM) who initiated the evacuation of all Jewish settlements from the Gazoo Strip and returned all the land to the PA clearly demonstrating that Israel has no interest to "Grab it's lands" as assumed by the compulsive liars of Al Jazeera.
However, in return for the favour, the Gazzoans "democratically" elected a murderous organization vociferously dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Hamas has been continously terrorizing Israelis by shelling civilans on the border, kidnapping civilians and soldiers and in general being a royal pain in the arse.
So of course we will invade the Gazoo strip sooner or later, not to "grab their F***ing land" but to eliminate the Hamas terror supporting regime and hand the Gazoo again into the hands of a legitimate, peace supporting PA (if such a thing exists at all and not in our overactive collective imagination".
We are definitely not interested in grabbing their land. What we want is to stop terrorism and liberate the poor Gazooans from being held hostage by this murderous semi-criminal organization.

P.S. - if you really want to know why the Hamas keeps craving military power, just check the swiss bank accounts of the Hamas top brass and you will understand immediately, the reason.

Bangladesh
10 suspected militants arrested in Bangladesh amid crackdown
[Iran Press TV] Police in Bangladesh have made 10 fresh arrests as a crackdown on members of an outlawed turban group widens across the country.

Security officials said on Monday that six young men, aged between 19 and 23, had been tossed in the calaboose
Please don't kill me!
overnight in a raid on their hideouts in the capital Dhaka.

Police counter-terrorism chief Monirul Islam said the six had been plotting to kill a top Islamic scholar during the current holy month of Ramadan. He said the outspoken holy man, whose name was not disclosed, was known for his criticism of Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
ideologies.

Islam said the suspected Death Eaters had been closely watching the scholar’s house and the plan to kill him was going ahead. He added that all those arrested were members of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh
The JMB is said to be the youth front of Al Mujahideen, the parent organization that began working toward establishing Bangladesh as an Islamic state in the mid 1990s which remains obscure even today. Other organizations, such as Jama'atul Jihad, JMB, Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh (JMJB), Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI), Hizbut Tawhid, Tawhidi Janata, Islami Jubo Shangha, Islami Shangha, Al Falah A'am Unnayan Shanstha and Shahadat-e al Hiqma are believed to be part of the Al Mujahideen network. The JMB at its peak was reported to contain at least 100,000 members, and an alleged 2,000-man suicide brigade, few of whom actually exploded. JMB allegedly received financial assistance from individual donors in Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Libya. Reports have claimed that funding of JMB by international NGOs like Kuwait based Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (RIHS) and Doulatul Kuwait, Saudi Arabia based Al Haramaine Islamic Institute and Rabita Al Alam Al Islami, Qatar Charitable Society and UAE-based Al Fuzaira and Khairul Ansar Al Khairia. The top leadership of JMB was captured in 2005 and hung in 2007, which pretty much shot their bolt.
(JMB), a banned group which is routinely blamed by the government for attacks on bloggers, publishers, writers, members of minority groups and foreigners.

Later reports said the suspects would be kept in jug for interrogation as police received authorization from a judge in Dhaka.

Police also carried out a raid on a turban hideout in a northwestern district of Dhaka on Monday. Three people were arrested in the raid while police seized explosives and guns. Also a writer, whose works are believed to have inspired young people to join turban groups, was arrested earlier in the day.

Bangladesh insists that the JMB was behind a deadly siege on a restaurant in Dhaka's diplomatic zone last July. Twenty people, including 17 foreigners, were killed in the attack claimed by the ISIS terrorist group. The Takfiri group, which is mainly operating in the Middle East, has vowed to carry out other attacks in Bangladesh.

Some 60 suspected Death Eaters have been killed across Bangladesh in the crackdown launched since the hostage-taking in the restaurant. The government has vowed to continue the crackdown until it crushes militancy in the South Asian country.

Lots and lots, which is a quantity I suspect counted in the low tens of millions. Egypt is currently using new loans to pay off old bills; if I recall correctly inflation is running around 30%. When the Saudis run out of oil money it's going to get ugly, though not as ugly as it would have been before the new Egyptian gas wells opened for business.

Obama Program Made $729 Million in Erroneous Payments to Doctors
[Free Beacon] An Obama administration program to encourage the use of electronic health records made over $729 million in erroneous payments, according to a new audit.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services also paid dead doctors for enrolling in its program, the audit, released by the agency's inspector general Monday, revealed.

"From May 2011 through June 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services paid an estimated $729 million in Medicare electronic health record incentive payments to eligible professionals who did not comply with Federal requirements," the inspector general said. "In addition, it paid $2.3 million in inappropriate electronic health record incentive payments to eligible professionals who switched incentive programs."

The incentive programs were created under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, commonly known as the stimulus package, signed by former President Barack Obama in 2009.

The missile, “Qaher-M2” hit a gathering of mercenaries in al-Jurr area in al-Jawf, Yemeni sources reported, adding that the missile had inflicted losses upon aggression forces.

2 more Abu Sayyaf surrender in Basilan
[SUNSTAR.PH] TWO more members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) voluntarily surrendered to the government troops in Basilan province, the military reported on Monday.

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Bacala, Army’s 4th Special Forces Battalion commander, identified them as Sarid Nisal, 25, and Mohammad Nisal 23. Bacala said the two bandits surrendered on Monday, June 12.

They are followers of Basilan-based Abu Sayyaf leader Nurhasan Jamiri. He said they yielded an M-16 Armalite rifle with attached M-203 granade launcher and a Garand Rifle with ammunition.

The bandits surrendered four days after three of their companions surrendered to the troops in Basilan. Bacala identified the three as Adulla Kalitut, 35, Natim Alamin, 25, and Adzmil Alamin, 20. They surrendered on Thursday, June 8. The surrender of the Nisals on Monday have brought to 73 the total number of Abu Sayyaf bandits who surrendered in Basilan province.

Syrian forces digging in along Iraqi border
[AlManar] The Syrian army and allies continued fortifying the positions they had regained from ISIL terrorists on the border with Iraq, according to Al-Manar TV report.

The Syrian army and allies managed on Friday to control an area of 5000 kilometers in the Desert after they had regained 15000 kilometers, reaching the border with Iraq in northeastern Tanaf city.

Al-Manar crew inspected a border position which is controlled by the Syrian army and allies and 100 kilometers away from Tanaf.

Al-Manar reporter said that the Syrian vehicles in the Desert started paving a way which reaches the border with Iraq.

The reporter also stressed that the Syrian army is still reinforcing its forces in the Desert and on the border with Iraq by dispatching more units from Suwaida in southern Damascus and from Palmyra.

The target is to besiege ISIL terrorists in Deir Ezzor province, according to Al-Manar reporter.

The following video is captured by Al-Manar crew and shows the Syrian border with Iraq in northeastern Tanaf.

#1  When they say "Syrian Army" what they mean is "Russian and Iran army".
What is happenning under Trump's nose is that Putin and the Ayatollas are establishing their control on the Iraq/Syria border. In other words, free and convenient land bridge enabling Iran's militias and even army to freely move into Syria and to supply Hizballa with heavy weapons and position Israel into a pincers situation where Hizballa controls the Israel/Lebanon border, Iran controls the syrian side of the Golan heights and Hamas/Iran are on the southern border (classical three front situation).
If Trump does not stop the Moscow/Tehran Axis from completing this maneuver, sooner or later the IDF will have to take the initiative and initiate a preemptive strike on at least one of the fronts (my guess would be Hizballa first but could also be Hamas).
This is a critical strategic issue to Israel, which if ignored could become explosive and because of the involvement of the Russians may trigger a big conflagration in the ME dragging the US into this willy nilly.
OTOH, if this happens, it may be a great opportunity for Israel to strike strategic targets in Iran/Lebanon.
Prepare the popcorn.

Nearly 2M fell off Obamacare coverage rolls through mid-March
The number of Americans insured under Obamacare fell by nearly 2 million people between Jan. 31 and mid-March, according to new CMS data that found about 10.3 million still were covered through health law exchanges.

The decline reflects customers failing to pay premiums after they selected plans during the most recent open enrollment period. Roughly 12.2 million people had selected private plans through the federal HealthCare.gov exchanges and the state-run marketplaces that operate in about a dozen states as of the Jan. 31 deadline to sign up.

CMS said high costs and lack of affordability were the most common factors individuals cited when asked why they didn't keep their coverage. A separate report on enrollment trends attributed the drop-off to other factors, including securing a job with employer-sponsored insurance

The 10.3 million covered individuals include those who selected a plan that began in January or February and had paid their first month's premium.

Enrollment attrition also occurred during the Obama administration, though reporting periods varied. Roughly 11.1 million people were enrolled in Obamacare plans at the end of March 2016, down from the 12.7 million people who signed up during the previous enrollment period.

The new report comes amid continued troubling news about health law insurance markets, including Anthem's decision this month to pull out of Ohio's Obamacare marketplace, potentially leaving 10,500 customers in 18 counties without any insurance options for 2018. Republicans in Congress have cited coverage gaps and other problems as justification for repealing the health law.

Sign-ups for Obamacare coverage declined for the first time in the 2017 season and fell below the Obama administration's estimates for the three-month enrollment window that ended in January, according to federal data.

The Trump administration scrapped phone calls and other forms of outreach to encourage sign-ups in the finals days of the enrollment period, then reversed itself after the move sparked outcry from the law's supporters and health insurers. Officials said they were unable to pull back some HealthCare.gov radio and TV advertising that had been purchased by the Obama administration. HHS was able to cancel about $4 million to $5 million in ads.

Singapore Mother Arrested for Offering to Marry IS Fighter
[AnNahar] A 22-year-old Singaporean woman who was planning to go to Syria with her child and marry an Islamic State

fighter has been detained without trial, the city-state's interior ministry said Monday.

Syaikhah Izzah Zahrah Al Ansari, who worked at a community nursery, was detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA), the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

"Izzah was intent on joining ISIS and was actively planning to make her way to Syria, with her young child," the ministry said in a statement, using another name for the Islamic State group.

"She supported ISIS' use of violence to establish and defend its self-declared 'caliphate', and aspired to live in it."

Izzah became radicalized from 18 after watching propaganda videos from the turban group, and had formed an extensive network of foreign contacts, including IS Death Eaters and supporters, the MHA said, some of whom had been killed in Syria or placed in durance vile

for terror-related activities.

The daughter of Koranic teachers, she believed that having a husband who died in battle would give her "elevated status" and she could easily remarry in Syria, the MHA added. Her family tried to talk her out of it but to no avail.

The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore said the incident demonstrated the threat of self-radicalization is "very real".

"An individual may fall prey to false narratives and teachings on the internet and social media, such that even a real life support structure may not be able to counter them," the council said in a statement.

Singapore considers itself a prime target for bandidos bully boyz because of the anti-terror role it plays and the interior ministry has warned that the terrorism threat was at its highest in recent years.

Since 2015, 14 Singaporeans have been detained under the ISA for radicalization, which allows for detention without trial for up to two years.

The region has been on high alert in recent weeks following a takeover of Marawi in the southern Philippines by Islamist Death Eaters flying the black flags of IS.

Syrian rebels capture university building in Raqqa
[ARA News] The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Monday made new gains in Raqqa city, amidst intensifying clashes with Islamic State’s (ISIS) extremists.

The Kurdish-led SDF seized control of the Science Collage building of Raqqa University.

“The building had been used by ISIS as a security centre. The SDF soldiers were able to expel ISIS militants from the building and seized a large deal of ammunition there,” SDF officer Habun Osman told ARA News on Monday.

“The progress came after heavy clashes with ISIS terrorists,” he said, adding that dozens of ISIS militants were killed in the clashes.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS) activist group told ARA News that ISIS has buried many of its militants in the backyard of the Old Mosque in Raqqa city, “for being unable to reach the main cemetery due to the SDF bombardment.”

Also on Monday, clashes broke out in the neighbourhoods of Hatin in western Raqqa and Sinaa east of the city, amid attempts by the SDF to liberate both areas from ISIS.

The Kurdish-led forces have already captured three neighbourhoods in the city of Raqqa since the launch of a major operation to liberate the city a few days ago.

On Sunday, the SDF liberated the al-Romaniya neighbourhood after clashes with ISIS.

On Friday, the US-backed SDF units took control of the Sabahiya district in the western part of Raqqa city. Also on Friday, the Syrian Democratic Forces imposed a siege on the ISIS-held Raqqa Grain Silos in the northern part of the city, amidst ongoing clashes.

On Wednesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces expelled ISIS from the Mashlab neighbourhood in the eastern part of Raqqa.

This comes after the US-backed SDF troops launched a major operation to liberate the city of Raqqa from ISIS radicals. On Tuesday, the SDF announced the official start of the operation to capture Raqqa.

Raqqa has been known as a de facto capital for the ISIS self-proclaimed Caliphate since the summer of 2014.

The Kurdish-Arab-Christian alliance of SDF has been isolating Raqqa since November 2016, when the US-backed alliance launched the so-called Euphrates Wrath Operation.

On 13 April, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched the fourth phase of the Euphrates Wrath Operation against Islamic State’s extremists to clear out the northern countryside of Raqqa.

During the first phase of Euphrates Wrath, which began on November 6, 2016, the SDF liberated roughly 560 km² in Northern Raqqa.

On 10 December, 2016, the SDF launched the second phase of the Euphrates Wrath, during which it captured over 2500 km² in Western Raqqa.

On 4 February, 2017, the Syrian Democratic Forces launched the third phase of the Euphrates Wrath Operation, and liberated dozens of villages in Eastern Raqqa from ISIS jihadists.

The campaign is ultimately aimed at liberating the city of Raqqa from ISIS extremists.

#1  Here is the map of Raqqa or June 13, 2017

The SDF has captured the north west corner of Raqqa and crushed the ISIS attempt to recapture the 17th division army base in the north.

The SDF has captured the Internet hacking building in the north.

The SDF drive from the east has captured 2 neighborhoods (al-Sinaa and Bitani) and has reached the edge of the old city.

terrorist group of ISIS.

Azizollah Maleki, the police chief in Hormozgan Province, where the bad boyz were potted during a firefight with security forces, made the remarks to news hounds on Monday.

"Intelligence work and the monitoring of current news about movements by a group of armed forces of Evil in the east of Hormozgan had the issue placed on the police’s special agenda," he said.

Police forces took further operational and intelligence measures, tracking the group’s movements and identifying the places frequented by them.

They confronted the foursome in a mountainous terrain near the province’s Roudan County, Maleki said, adding that an armed conflict ensued, which resulted in the deaths of the terrorists.

The forces of Evil had four military weapons, 112 live bullets, some explosives, and a ISIS flag in their possession.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller Filling Staff With Democrat Donors
Posted by: junkiron || 06/13/2017 00:00 || Comments || Link || E-Mail|| [4 views] Top|| File under:

#1  Mueller has a difficult job in the personnel area.

If you hire a Trump donor it is a potential conflict. Besides that, a fair number of Trump donors wouldn't accept the position.

If you hire a Clinton Donor it is technically not a conflict of interest since Clinton gains nothing if Trump is found to have done something wrong.

Ideally you would hire people with no donation history but that limits the potential recruitment.

#2  The country is overrun with lawyers. Why in hell would you hire anyone with even the hint of a Clinton connection? Surely a few could have been found somewhere who have no political connections. If not, hire one with democratic leanings and one with republican. Issue them both pistols.

Furthermore, why does anybody need to be hired? Detail a few old 'grey beards' lawyers from the justice department.

Mueller's involvement in this fiasco brings a foul smell.

Posted by: Besoeker || 06/13/2017 7:14 Comments || Top||

#3  assuming you agree with the premise that this is a process and practice investigation, then you are unable to use most lawyers because their work in torts, estates, etc. isn't the same thing.

Hiring retired govt workers (I think that's what you mean by greybeards) is actually a very good idea but I think there are documents that retired FBI lawyers sign that would get in the way of this. Also, a lot of retired people do not want to go back to work, especially investigating something that seems so full of vapor.

#4  Is there really anything to investigate? Comey said three times Trump wasn't under investigation and only brought special prosecutor in (through shady methods) when he was fired.

Comey was fired because he told Trump three times he wasn't under investigation but refused to tell the media and thus remove the cloud over the Presidency, a treatment that was very different than the way he treated Clinton.

Kenya foils terror attack planned by Somali militants
[SHABELLENEWS] Kenya has seized six men suspected of planning an attack sponsored by the al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
bully boy group from neighboring Somalia, the head of Kenyan police said late on Sunday.

In recent weeks, the East African nation has lost 20 officers in various attacks, mostly on deserted roads in the vast northern region bordering Somalia, in which the turbans used Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

Joseph Boinnet, the inspector general of the police, said in a statement that two of the suspects were Kenyans and the others were Somali nationals. Police also seized assembled explosives, four boom jackets and bomb-making materials such as TNT.

"The six had been dispatched from Burhanche in Somalia by their commanders to launch attacks in Kenya," Boinnet said.

Kenyan security forces worked with their counterparts in Somalia to foil the attack and to capture the suspects. The captured men were being interrogated to establish the extent of the entire network, Boinnet said.

Kenya has faced a constant security challenge from across the border ever since it sent its troops into Somalia in late 2011, to help defeat the al-Shabaab turbans and restore order.

New US administration will have to abide by JCPOA: Iran FM
[Iran Press TV] Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has criticized the new US administration for failing to fully live up to its commitments under the landmark 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran, saying the White House would finally have to abide by the deal.

"Unfortunately the behavior from the new administration in Washington is not very promising," Zarif told news hounds after a meeting with Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende in Oslo on Monday.

"But, we believe that at the end of the day they [US administration] will find it necessary to abide by the deal and we believe the rest of the international community will make it clear...that it considers the deal as a multilateral agreement and not a bilateral agreement between Iran and the United States," the Iranian minister added.
During his presidential campaign, US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
had promised to repeal the nuclear accord which he referred to as a "disaster" and "the worst deal ever negotiated."

Zarif expressed regret that the US has "not lived up fully" to its commitments under the JCPOA and said, "We believe that the nuclear agreement is the result of multilateral processes endorsed by the Security Council."

#1  Dear Mo - May I call you Mo? Thank you so much.

Let me explain something. We had some senators a year or two back who tried to explain to you (and more than a few of our own people) that the deal that Mr Obama's people reached with you was a non-binding agreement if our Senate didn't vote to accept that.

For their trouble, those senators were accused of treason, mostly by people who knew better but decided it was a cheap and easy way to make people look bad. (You may remember it; it was in all the papers.)

Thing is though, the senators were right: Our President had the right and authority to assign someone to sign the deal, and sadly, he sure as hell had the ability to send you an airplane load of money. But unless the Senate approved it in open debate, the deal died with the Obama administration. Under our Consitution (hell of a document, you should read it sometime)we don't have to abide by diddly otherwise. Yeah, I know, you guys were counting on Felonia von Pantsuit (who would have probably kept the deal going) to get elected, but hey, so did a bunch of other people - the line forms to the right.

Look, I get it - you guys are used to doing the double crossing, but this time 62,979,636 Americans popped you the bird. You're pissed.

Tough. Yell all you want. Ain't gonna make any difference. So go play with your toys, and remember - new sharif in town. If you get itchy bomb trigger fingers, the folks in charge now aren't going to be as willing to look the other way.

Top Taliban leader arrested by the Afghan forces in Baghlan
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A top leader of the Taliban

group has been tossed in the slammer
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
during an ambush of the Afghan cops in northern Baghlan province.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the group’s shadow district chief for Khost Farang was arrested during the ambush of the Afghan national police forces earlier this morning.

"Today early morning, three armed Taliban including a Taliban shadow district governor for Khost Fareeng district of Baghlan province arrested following a military operation," a statement by MoI said.

The statement further added "The operation was carried out by Afghan National Police in Khost Fareeng district of Baghlan province."

Two AK-47 rifles and some amount of ammunition seized as well, the Ministry of interior added.

The anti-government armed Death Eater groups have not commented regarding the report so far.

Baghlan is among the relatively volatile provinces in northern Afghanistan where the Taliban gunnies and Lions of Islam belonging to other turban groups are actively operating in a number of its remote districts.

This comes as the shadow governor of the group was arrested during a similar operation in Dand-e-Ghori district of Baghlan nearly two months ago.

Israeli regime reduces power supply to besieged Palestinian enclave
[Iran Press TV] The Israeli regime is set to reduce electricity supplies to the Gazoo Strip, worsening an already severe shortage in the besieged Paleostinian enclave.

Israeli media said on Monday that the security cabinet decided Sunday to reduce the daily amount supplied to Gazoo by around 45 minutes.

Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan told alleged that the reduction was due to an ongoing row between Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
and the Paleostinian resistance movement, Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,.

Hamas has run Gazoo since 2007, when it seized it from Abbas's Fatah following an electoral dispute over parliamentary polls won by the resistance movement.

Abbas runs the Paleostinian Authority (PA), the Paleostinian leadership based in the occupied West Bank.

Multiple attempts at reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah have failed.

The PA however had continued to pay Israel for some electricity delivered to Gazoo.

The PA decided to cut electricity payments for Gazoo in April.

Hamas said then the "catastrophic decision" would have "dangerous" consequences.

Electricity supply is a major concern in the hot and cramped territory, which is currently marking the holy fasting Moslem month of Ramadan.

Gazooks currently receive only three or four hours of electricity a day.

The electricity is delivered from the territory's own power station and others in Israel and Egypt.

Residents who can afford it use generators to power their homes or businesses in the impoverished Paleostinian enclave of some two million people.

Iran's Khamenei blames US for regional instability
[Al Jazeera] Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blamed the United States for instability in the Middle East and said Washington's fight against Islamic State

"You [the United States] and your agents are the source of instability in the Middle East... Who created Islamic State? America... America's claim of fighting against Islamic State is a lie," Khamenei said on Monday in a meeting with high-ranking Iranian officials, according to his official website.

Iran and the United States cut diplomatic ties shortly after Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution and enmity to Washington has long been a rallying point for hardline supporters of Khamenei in Iran.

Khamenei has made several statements denouncing the United States since the start of the Moslem holy month of Ramadan, while US President Donald Trump

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Haqqani terrorist network has released a new audio message of the network’s leader Sirajuddin Haqqani
...son of Pashtun warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani, still titular head of the Haqqani Network....

The new audio message was distributed to media by the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
group front man Zabiullah Mujahid.

Sirajuddin Haqqani who is the also the deputy supreme leader of the Taliban group, rejects that the network was involved in the recent deadly attacks.

He claims that the attack close to Zanbaq square near the embassy of Germany was not plotted and carried out by the Haqqani network of the Taliban group.

Haqqani also claims that the network and the Taliban Lions of Islam never carry out attacks in public areas.

He also vowed that the Taliban Lions of Islam will continue to their fight until all foreign forces fully withdrawn from the country.

The first incident in the city took place on 31st of May, after a vehicle packed with explosives exploded leaving more than 150 people dead and over 400 others maimed.

A coordinated suicide kaboom also rocked Kabul city two days after the incident as scores of people had gathered in the funeral ceremony of Salim Izadyar, the son of the deputy house speaker of the Afghan Senate House, who was killed during the rallies organized to protest against the attacks and failure of the government and security institutions to ensure security for the people.

The Afghan intelligence said the directorate has credible information suggesting that the attacks were plotted and carried out by the Haqqani network based in Pakistain.

Indian news anchor shut down a cleric for mocking women's choice to wear what they want
[IMAGES.DAWN] This past few weeks, we've seen many women in the public eye trolled for personal choices like their attire.

A few days ago, on Indian TV chat show The Urban Debate on Mirror Now, anchor Faye D'Souza was hosting an episode on this subject when a cleric tried to shame her for her suggestion that men and women should have the same freedoms.

The cleric named Maulana Yasoob Abbas said to D'Souza, “Come to this debate dressed in your underwear. Then there will be equality between men and women."

The comment made by Maulana Abbas was stoopid low on intellectual value and D'Souza could have chosen to ignore it. But she decided to use her airtime to point out the root of problematic statements like his.

"Maulana Ji threatened me to show up at my workplace wearing underwear because I want to be equal to men. He hopes that he will rile me up, that I will throw a fit and I will lose control of my panel and I will forget how to do my job," she began.

"I've seen a lot like you. I'm not afraid of you or threatened by you or rattled by you. Because you threatened me with something so cheap, you tried to rattle when I'm doing my job... all you men think that if you rattle [Fatima Sana] when she's doing her job, when you rattle Sania Mirza when she's doing her job, if you rattle all women when they're doing their jobs, they will run back into their kitchens, cover themselves up, and leave the world again for you to conquer. I have news for you, we are not going anywhere," D'Souza said.

Britain
‘UK needs to look inward for confronting extremism’
[DAWN] The first British Muslim minister, Shahid Malik said on Sunday that Pakistani origin of one of the terrorists involved in the recent London attacks had nothing to do with his evil act and urged the UK to look inward for tackling the challenge posed by extremism.

Mr Malik warned against linking terrorism with religion: “In the case of Pakistan, the facts speak for themselves; very few countries have made the sacrifices and suffered the loss of lives that tragically Pakistan has experienced,” he said.

“Pakistan’s fight against extremism and terrorism has led to a huge toll with thousands of Pakistanis citizens, armed forces, security personnel and police being martyred and paying the ultimate price.”

He said it must be remembered that evil existed in all walks of life as Timothy McVeigh, who butchered 168 American citizens in Oklahoma, did not represent Christianity, in the same way that these vile creatures who killed innocent people in Manchester and London did not represent Islam. They both represent evil and evil had no religion.

He said: “Today Muslims across the world must unite in sending a strong message not just by condemning extremism and terrorism but confronting it wherever it rears its evil head, whether that is in our homes, in our shops, our workplaces, our colleges or online.”

Mr Malik said that Muslims were not responsible for the actions of these wicked individuals, adding Muslims had a responsibility to redouble their efforts not only to save innocent and precious human lives but rescue their religion from the clutches of “twisted individuals who follow a truly perverted interpretation of our beautiful faith, Islam”.

The idiot conveniently overlooks that McVeigh *never* claimed that Christianity *motivated* his work, and that McVeigh made various claims all over the religious spectrum, from being Catholic to being agnostic.

I'm getting really tired of something that one deranged individual did in the '90s somehow being cast as equivalent to what goes on day after day after day by Islamists.

Houthi Big Turban, 3 others die in Shabwa fighting
Aden, Taiz- A prominent leader of the Houthi-Saleh militias and four of his security personnel were killed on Saturday in an attack waged by the pro-government forces in al-Saq area of Usaylan district in western Shabwa province, southeastern Yemen.

Houthi prominent Leader Ahmed Saleh Dabash, Abu Hussein, was killed in an attack and artillery shelling by the forces of the 26th Infantry Brigade and al-Hazm battalion on their position in the al-Saq area.

The battles and shelling in Usaylan and Beihan fronts coincided with air raids by pro-legitimate government forces that targeted the positions and gatherings of the insurgents at “Akeed Soufa” site.

The attack also resulted in the damage of a military vehicle of the Houthi militants at a time when a series of violent explosions rocked the targeted sites and resulted in the death of at least six militants, according to military sources.

The source pointed out that violent clashes also broke out between the Popular Resistance and the Houthi-Saleh militiamen in Tewal al-Sadah fighting front in Usaylan, where battles have been flaring since weeks with no ground progress made by either side.

Spokesman for army forces in Brigade 19 in Usaylan Mutlaq al-Maaroufi told Asharq Al-Awsat that large military reinforcements have headed two days ago towards the battle fronts in the outskirts of the Directorate of Usaylan.

Maaroufi confirmed that the army forces in the three brigades, 19 infantry, 21 mika and 26 infantry, are seeking to regain control of militia-controlled positions and move according to the directives of the army’s top command.

Since the outbreak of the battles in Usaylan and Bihan fronts hundreds of militia militants have been killed, including senior military commanders close to Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the coup group.

Also, about 500 soldiers from the popular resistance were killed and about 700 others were injured, according to official statistics in the 19th Brigade.

Australian jihadist Mostafa Mahamed ‘joined al-Qaeda after passport was cancelled’
[NEWS.AU] AUSTRALIA’S most senior Islamic terrorist has revealed his path to extremism and what sparked his decision to join al-Qaeda and rise through the terror organization’s ranks.

Mostafa Mahamed, who also goes by the name Abu Salayman Australi, claims his decision to join al-Qaeda was prompted by Australian authorities who had his passport cancelled when he travelled Syria in 2012.

Despite becoming prominent within the group and appearing in promotional online videos encouraging other westerners to join, Mahamed claims in a new YouTube video he did not initially intend to join the group.

"It’s important to clarify that from the beginning I didn’t come up to join up for AQ Syria branch," he said in the clip published over the weekend.

"I joined after my passport was cancelled by the Australian authorities."

The terrorist claimed he was placed in a "very difficult situation", and made the decision after discovering he could not return to Australia.
Why on earth did he go to Syria in the middle of a war, then?
"My family back home received a letter saying that my passport was cancelled and I was no longer in a position to travel with my Australian documents," he said. "I had to made a decision as to what I was going to do then. It wasn’t possible to just pick up and leave."

Mahamed claimed he was given an "opportunity to perform an obligation" that he encouraged all other Moslems to do.

Are Mueller and Comey ‘colluding' against Trump by acting as co-special counsel?
[FOX] Legal Notice: "Proudly Announcing The Newly-Formed Law Firm of Mueller & Comey. We Specialize In Bungling Cases, Ignoring Legal Standards, And Bringing Down Presidents."

I have not yet received the announcement in the mail. But I expect it will arrive any day now.

After all, Robert Mueller and James Comey appear to be acting in concert as co-special counsel. Why not make it official with a formal notice of their union?

It was obvious it would evolve this way from the very moment Mueller was named on May 17th.

Which is why I wrote a column two days later, arguing that Mueller should resign as special counsel. He has a flagrant conflict of interest that disqualifies him from serving. To wit, his personal and professional closeness to Comey. They have long been allies. Comey regards his predecessor at the FBI as a mentor, while Mueller considers Comey his protégé.

It was evident at the outset that the fired FBI Director would be the pivotal witness in any potential obstruction of justice investigation by Mueller. Therefore, it was incomprehensible that Rod Rosenstein, the Acting Attorney General, would choose him. It was equally baffling that Mueller would accept the position.

Shin Bet busts Arab Israeli teens for allegedly supporting IS
[IsraelTimes] Teenagers suspected of making bomb after swearing allegiance to terror group’s leader, reportedly considered joining its ranks abroad

Three Arab Israeli teenagers were tossed in the clink
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
for expressing support and sympathy for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
terrorist group last month, the Shin Bet security service announced on Monday.

Over the past few months, the suspects swore allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State, His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
, after they "were exposed to radical media content connected to the ISIS organization," the Shin Bet said, using the terror group’s Arabic nickname. The agency said they had collected evidence showing all three had communicated with Islamic State operatives abroad.

The three suspects were also found to have created an improvised bomb, the security service said. One of the suspects discussed with IS operatives the possibility of traveling abroad in order to fight in the terror group’s ranks, the Shin Bet said.

The teenage suspects are all from the town of Barta’a, in northern Israel. Two of them are 17 years old, while the third is now 18 years old, though he is suspected of committing the crimes he’s accused of while still a minor, the Shin Bet said. Their identities were not released due to their ages.

It was not immediately clear when the suspects will be indicted.

"The Shin Bet security service sees in Israeli supporters of ISIS, who make contact with operatives of the organization and go fight in its ranks, to be a grave security threat," the agency said.

Therefore, it said, it would "use the necessary enforcement measures in order to prevent the distribution of ISIS’s ideology to Israel."

The Islamic State does not have widespread support in Israel, and the Shin Bet estimates that approximately 50 Arab citizens of Israel have traveled to Syria or Iraq to join the group in recent years -- far fewer than in some European countries with comparable Moslem populations.

Austria Bans Islamic Dresses for Women, Mandates 12-Month Integration Course
[HeatStreet] Austria has passed a controversial law that fines women who wear Islamic dress covering the whole face, and takes away welfare benefits from immigrants who fail to learn the language.

“Those who are not prepared to accept Enlightenment values will have to leave our country and society,” reads the text of the law, RT reported.

Earlier this year, the draft law drew thousands of protesters against the government and parliamentarians, but it was passed by a centrist coalition last month and now was signed by the president.

According to the law, women will face a fine of €150 ($168) if they wear Islamic dresses, either the niqab or the burqa, in public places. In addition to the fines, all new migrants coming to Austria to live will now be forced to take a 12-month “integration course” that includes German language lessons if they wish to receive any welfare benefits.

The new law also makes it illegal for newcomers to distribute incendiary materials, and migrants will be encouraged to volunteer before acquiring permanent work permits in order to prepare them for life in the workplace.

Austria’s attempt to integrate new immigrants has come in response to the migrant crisis rocking most European countries. At least 90,000 migrants, mostly from Muslim-majority countries outside Europe, have arrived to Austria since 2015.

Norway plans full-face veil ban

[DW] The Norwegian government has proposed a ban on full face veils in schools and universities. The law would apply to students taking part in introductory programs and language courses for newly-arrived refugees.

The proposal would be the first of its kind in the Nordic countries, but follows similar bans in La Belle France, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and the German state of Bavaria

KDF jets carry out air raid in Southern Somalia town
[SHABELLENEWS] Warplanes said to be belonging to Kenyan Air force have conducted a massive airstrike in Gedo region on Monday, targeting a small village controlled by Al shabaab militants.

The Kenyan military air raid took place at Garas Dulan, an strategic Al shabaab stronghold located about 35 Kilometers west of Bardere district which is under government control.

Residents in the area said several missiles struck civilians houses and left at least three villagers wounded and taken to hospital for medical treatment.

There was no further information on the Al shabaab casualties, as result of the KDF areal bombardment in Garas Dulan which lies near El Adde town, where dozens of Kenyan soldiers were killed by Al shabaab in January 15, 2016.

Qatar’s ambassador confused when asked about ‘al-Qaeda funder’
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Ever since Gulf and Arab countries, especially Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt had severed ties with Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates...
last week, Doha tried to make efforts to deny funding terrorism suspicions against it, particularly through diplomatic channels in a number of Western countries, specifically the United States.

However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
it did not seem to work, especially after statements by US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
, on Friday that confirmed Qatar’s history with funding terrorism.

Qatar’s ambassador in Washington, Meshal bin Hamad al-Thani, was confused in an interview a few days ago on CNN when he was asked about his country’s funding of terrorism.

Perhaps this confusion was obvious when the ambassador hesitated to answer the question about the "status" of Saad bin Saad al-Kaabi, who is accused of funding al-Qaeda. The Qatari ambassador repeated the same answer, which did not in fact provide a clear reason why Qatar did not sue al-Kaabi, who is listed on the terrorism list by the Gulf and USA.

When the ambassador was asked whether Qatar was prosecuting Saad bin Saad al-Kaabi for funding al-Qaeda or whether he was tossed in the slammer
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
or imprisoned, the ambassador tried to divert by saying that the Qatari judiciary was prosecuting several cases related to terrorism funding cases, he repeated his answer twice.

Two days ago, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt issued a detailed statement of Qatari individuals and entities supporting and funding terrorism. Among those names was Saad bin Saad al-Kaabi, who is considered one of the funders of al-Qaeda.

Al-Kaabi organized fund-raising campaigns for al-Qaeda in Syria under the "Al-Sham Supply" campaign, with the assistance of other Qataris.

Since 2015, the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
has included Saad al-Kaabi on the sanctions lists for collecting money on behalf of al-Qaeda holy warriors in Syria.

ISIS Turban dies in shooting in Hawija, Kirkuk

Hawija (IraqiNews.com) A member of the Islamic State with an Arab nationality was mysteriously assassinated at the group’s Kirkuk stronghold of Hawija, while the group expelled dozens of civilians local sources said Monday.

Alsumaria News quoted the source saying that the militant was killed on the town’s outskirts, but did not explain how the assassination was carried out. He added that the assassination stoked already heating tensions among members in Hawija, with Arab members accusing local comrades of masterminding the killing.

Meanwhile, another source said the group seized the homes of 60 families in Hawija and forced them to move to farmlands on the town’s outskirts. The source said the militants accused the families of “disloyalty” to the group. He explained that most of the families expelled had some members executed by the Islamic State for various reasons.

“Daesh (Islamic State) is seeking to empty Hawija of families who it suspects of opposing it,” said the source.

Hawija and other neighboring areas in southwest Kirkuk have been under Islamic State control since 2014, when the group emerged to proclaim an Islamic “caliphate” in Iraq and Syria. The group executed dozens of civilians and security members there, forcing thousands to flee homes.

Three weeks ago, Alsumaria News quoted sources saying that IS had opened alternative headquarters for its so-called “Nineveh State, “Dijlah State”, “Salahuddin State” and “Diyala State” in Hawija. He said senior leaders had entered the town in armored vehicles after having fled battles with security forces in Nineveh.

2 Kaliphate Kidz die in work accident al-Mutaibija

Mutaibija (IraqiNews.com) Two members of the Islamic State’s so-called “Cubs of the Caliphate” were killed as a booby-trapped cooking pot exploded in al-Mutaibija region, on borders between Salahuddin and Diyala provinces, a local source said.

Speaking to AlSumaria News on Monday, the source said, “two members of the so-called ‘Cubs of the Caliphate’ were killed as a booby-trapped cooking pot exploded while being transferred from one of the group’s rest houses in Mutaibija to be placed on a road.”

“Several IS cubs were recently transferred from Hawija to Mutaibija to boost the group’s capabilities,” the source, who preferred anonymity said. The group, according to the source, “now depends on different methods to manufacture bombs using pots and plastic bottles in different sizes.”

Founded by the group, the Cubs of the Caliphate is formed of teenagers to either transfer explosives or commit suicide attacks.

Occasional attacks have been witnesses in Mutaibija by Islamic State against government and paramilitary troops deployments since Iraqi forces, backed by a U.S.-led coalition and PMUs, launched a major offensive to retake areas occupied by IS since 2014, most notably the city of Mosul.

Southeast Asia
Philippine troops raise flag as bombs fall on Islamist-held city
[DAWN] Embattled Philippine troops struggling to force out Islamist gunnies from a southern city raised the national flag for Independence Day on Monday, in a tearful ceremony dedicated to the scores killed during the conflict.

Thousands of Philippine soldiers, advised by US Special Forces, are locked in fierce combat with hundreds of Death Eaters who overran Marawi city on May 23, flying black flags of the hard boy Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(IS) group and using up to 2,000 civilians as human shields.

As gunfire rang out and planes flew bombing raids to pummel districts of the largely-abandoned city, a crowd of soldiers and officials gathered outside a nearby government building to raise the Philippine flag.

"This is dedicated to soldiers who offered their lives to implement our mission in Marawi city," said Colonel Jose Maria Cuerpo, commander of a Philippine Army brigade fighting in Marawi.

The annual ceremony marks the anniversary of an armed revolt against Spanish colonial rule.

Fighting in the city has left 58 soldiers and police and more than 20 civilians dead, the military said, estimating that almost 200 gunnies have been killed in the festivities.

Tens of thousands have fled Marawi, which is the Catholic country's most important Moslem city, since troops unexpectedly interrupted plans by the fighters to take over Marawi in a spectacular event to show that IS had arrived in the Philippines.

President Rodrigo Duterte has said the hard boy attack was part of a wider plot by IS to establish a base in the southern region of Mindanao, and declared martial law there to quell the threat.

But the military has struggled to defeat the heavily-armed gunnies, who have used hostages and pre-existing bomb-proof tunnels to entrench their positions.

Iraq
Mosul Offensive News

Iraqi forces continue advance into old Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi government forces advanced further Monday in a neighborhood near the Old City in western Mosul as operations continue towards the Islamic State’s last bastion in the city.

Maj. Ali al-Yasseri, from the Federal Police service, told Shafaaq News that the Interior Ministry’s Rapid Response forces advanced at al-Boursa (stock market) neighborhood south of Zanjili, a major IS entrenchment north of the Old City which Iraqi forces said they recaptured on Saturday.

Though the Joint Operations Command said Sunday it totally liberated Zanjili’s southern section, it seems some confrontations continue there at al-Boursa, where, Yasseri said, forces also managed to evacuate 67 civilian families from the front line.

On Sunday, Ojeil Mohamed al-Khaffaf, a captain in the Rapid Response forces, said 13 militants were killed in intense confrontations at al-Boursa.

The JOC said its forces invaded the Old City from Bab Sinjar, a northern entrance, after recapturing Zanjili. The Old City was the birthplace of the Islamic State’s self-proclaimed “caliphate” when supreme leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi made a sermon with the announcement.

14 die in Mosul fighting

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Several Iraqi soldiers, Islamic State militants were killed in fierce confrontations that took place in the vicinity of Madinat al-Tib (medical city), in western Mosul, an informed security source said.

“Three soldiers and eleven militants were killed during confrontations that occurred on Monday at the areas surrounding Madinet al-Tib, in al-Shifa district, northwest of Mosul,” the source told Shafaaq News.

Security troops, according to the source, cordoned off the medical city and now besiege the militants inside. He expected it to be fully liberated within the coming few hours.

Earlier on Saturday, the Iraqi government forces recaptured Zanjili district in western Mosul, leaving only one district of al-Shifa in Islamic State’ grip before reaching its strategic stronghold in the Old City neighborhood, which is home to the Grand Nuri Mosque, the place where IS supreme leader proclaimed the group’s rule in Iraq in 2014.

Less than 1000 fighters remaining in the Old City, according to commanders from the Iraqi leadership and the allied U.S.-led coalition.

44 ISIS Bad Guys pining for the Fjords in western Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi government forces made incursions on Monday into western Mosul’s Old City district, Islamic State’s last bastion in the city, an officer has said.

Cap. Adel Haider, from Nineveh police service, told BasNews that Federal Police forces invaded Bab Sinjar popular market, engaging in violent encounters with IS militants who included suicide bombers.

“Security forces are putting the market under a full siege…..and killed nearly 23 militants, including suicide attackers,” Haider said, adding that army warplanes backed the offensive.

The Iraqi Joint Operations Command said Sunday its forces invaded the Old City from Bab Sinjar, a northern entrance, after recapturing Zanjili district. The Old City, currently IS’s last hideout in western Mosul, was the birthplace of the Islamic State’s self-proclaimed “caliphate” when supreme leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi made a sermon with the announcement in 2014.

Also on Monday, DPA quoted Iraqi security sources saying that field hospitals had received the dead bodies of 21 IS militants from several areas retaken from the extremist group. The corpses, which bore gunshot marks in the head, had been strewn at streets, the source said, adding they had probably been executed by unknown individuals.

Iraqi forces capture 5 villages near western Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The War Media Cell has announced liberating five villages in Mahalabiya, a region which Iraqi forces and PMUs had previously isolated from Mosul.

In a statement on Monday, Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Yarallah, head of Nineveh Operations Command, said, troops liberated villages of Sheikh Qurret al-Sufla,Tishet al-Atshana, al-Shuhadaa, al-Aziziya and al-Mawali, west of Atshana mountains, in east of Mahlabiya, located west of Mosul.

Troops advanced further on Monday in a neighborhood near the Old City in western Mosul .

On Sunday, the Joint Operations Command said it totally liberated Zanjili’s southern section and invaded the Old City from Bab Sinjar, a northern entrance, after recapturing Zanjili.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Fatah official rips Israel’s bid to slash PA funding over terrorist payments
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian Prisoner Club chairman Qadura Fares vows stipends will continue despite Israeli ’piracy’.

The chairman of the Paleostinian Prisoners Club on Sunday slammed a proposed Israeli law that would slash funds to the Paleostinian Authority over salaries paid out by Ramallah to convicted forces of Evil and their families, and vowed the Paleostinians will continue the payments.
I don't know why he is fussing -- the PA has already cut payments to Israel for Gaza's electricity and to PA empolyees in Gaza who haven't done any work since 2097, so they must be rolling in dough just now.
The bill, approved earlier in the day by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation, "is a process of legitimizing the piracy of the Paleostinian people’s money," said Qadura Fares, whose organization is non-governmental but influential.

The bill would see Israel cut around NIS 1 billion ($285 million) from the annual tax revenues it collects for the Paleostinians and hands over to them -- equivalent to the amount that Ramallah pays to forces of Evil and their families -- a practice Israel and the international community have been attempting to end.

The bill is expected be brought to a preliminary vote in the plenum on Wednesday.

Fares, who is a former PA minister without a portfolio and a member of Fatah, branded the bill an attempt "to stigmatize the Paleostinian struggle with terrorism and to conflate the issues of the so-called war on terror with the Paleostinian deaders and prisoners who fought for freedom."

He said the bill "strongly contradicts international law."

He noted that they payments can be traced back to measures enacted by the Paleostinian Liberation Organization in 1966, and vowed they "will not stop."

Israel transfers about NIS 460 million ($125 million) a month, or NIS 5.4 billion ($1.5 billion) a year, to the Paleostinian Authority in tax and customs duties levied on goods destined for Paleostinian markets that transit through Israeli ports. The transfers are a key revenue source for the cash-strapped Paleostinian government. Israel has withheld payment in the past over political disputes.

The proposed legislation says that in 2016, the Paleostinian Authority paid out some NIS 1.1 billion ($303 million) in stipends and other benefits to the families of so-called "deaders" who bit the dust during attacks against Israelis and to Paleostinian prisoners serving time in Israeli jails for security offenses.

According to PA law, Paleostinian security prisoners serving time in Israeli jails and families of assailants killed while carrying attacks against Israelis are eligible to receive stipends and other benefits.

The Middle East Media Research Institute estimates that the allowances range from $364 (NIS 1,500) a month for a term of up to three years, to $3,120 (NIS 13,000) for a term of 30 years and more. There is also a monthly $78 supplement for forces of Evil from Jerusalem and a $130 supplement for Arab Israeli terrorists.

Stern’s bill represents the first time the issue has been tackled through Israeli legislation, and follows similar efforts to limit US funding to the PA.

Israel has long argued that the PA’s payments glorify terrorism, part of what it sees as a broader trend of "incitement" blamed for fueling a surge of violence last year.

The issue of PA payments to forces of Evil received heightened media coverage during US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s visit to Israel last month, during which he met with Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
The PA has paid out some NIS 4 billion -- or $1.12 billion -- over the past four years to forces of Evil and their families, a former director general of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs and ex-head of the army’s intelligence and research division told a top Knesset panel late last month.

Hamas says no breakthrough in Cairo talks
[IsraelTimes] High-level delegation from embattled terror group returns from Egypt, but no word on effort to improve relations with vital neighbor

A high-level Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", delegation returned home from Cairo after nine days of security and political talks intended to improve ties with Egypt, but has not announced any breakthroughs or any signed agreements, Hamas-linked media reported Monday.
But the delegation did get to enjoy nine days of nice hotels with comfy beds and soft sheets, plus plenty of nummy nom-noms. So it was time well-spent.
Hamas denied reports in Arab media that an agreement had been signed between Cairo and Hamas.

A delegation including Hamas Gazoo chief Yahya Sinwar and a senior commander in the group’s military wing, Tawfik Abu Naim, left to Cairo on June 4 in an attempt to improve relations Egypt.

Hamas has been under intense pressure lately both from the Paleostinian Authority and due to the crisis with Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates...
-- a key Hamas supporter -- which is being urged to cut contacts with the Gazoo-based terror group.

Hamas is eager to restore ties with Egypt, which controls its border and joins Israel in imposing a blockade aimed at preventing arms reaching Hamas.

Hamas and Egypt have had cool relations since Egypt’s Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi, was tossed by the military in 2013. Morsi came from Hamas’ parent group, the Moslem Brüderbund.

"All the shared issues have been studied in a serious and deep way with our Egyptian brothers," a Hamas source told the terror group’s official radio station al-Aqsa voice on Monday.

The source denied reports in the Arabic press that a written agreement had been signed between Cairo and Hamas.

The delegation left Gazoo for Cairo just one day before Egypt, along with Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, cut off diplomatic ties with Qatar.
Ynet adds:
While in Cairo, Sinwar also met with former Fatah official Mohammed Dahlan, the political rival of Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...

From 'caliph' to fugitive: IS leader Baghdadi's new life on the run
[REUTERS] Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
is on the brink of losing the two main centers of his 'caliphate' but even though he is on the run, it may take years to capture or kill him, officials and experts said.

Islamic State fighters are close to defeat in the twin capitals of the group's territory, djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria, and officials say Baghdadi is steering clear of both, hiding in thousands of square miles of desert between the two.

"In the end, he will either be killed or captured, he will not be able to remain underground forever," said Lahur Talabany, the head of counter-terrorism at the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Kurdish autonomous region in northern Iraq. "But this is a few years away still," he told Rooters.

One of Baghdadi's main concerns is to ensure those around him do not betray him for the $25 million reward offered by the United States to bring him "to justice", said Hisham al-Hashimi, who advises Middle East governments on Islamic State affairs.

"With no land to rule openly, he can no longer claim the title caliph," Hashimi said. "He is a man on the run and the number of his supporters is shrinking as they lose territory."

Iraqi forces have retaken much of Mosul, the northern Iraqi city the hardline group seized in June 2014 and from which Baghdadi declared himself "caliph" or leader of all Moslems shortly afterwards. Raqqa, his capital in Syria, is nearly surrounded by a coalition of Syrian Kurdish and Arab groups.

#3  Ah yes, these are happy days as Mr. Baghdadi beats a brave retreat and ISIS is ground to a pulp. They have no leader, are surrounded, Qatar is finally being targeted for their support, and hopefully the cowardly perfumed prices will get a chance to offer their last full measure of devotion as well. These are good days when the enemy lives in fear.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Jonathan Turley: The Case Against James Comey
Below is my column in The Hill Newspaper on the the case against former FBI Director James Comey for leaking FBI information to the media. There has been an effort to confine the question of Comey’s actions in terms of criminality. There are laws that could be relied upon for a formal charge in court but that is unlikely and would counter prior prosecutorial practices. However, the disclosure clearly violates a host of federal rules and regulations that bar such use of FBI information. It is therefore unlawful and unprofessional. It is also potentially unethical under bar rules.

#1  I'd like to see Sessions open this up and have a real investigation. there doesn't seem like there is much interest on the part of local authorities or the DNC in this murder case. It seems that Inspector Clouseau has all but closed the case. How about even a smidgen of the Federal attention directed to the Treyvon Martin or Michael Brown shootings devoted to the Seth Rich murder?

India-Pakistan
Abducted Chinese nationals were 'preaching' in Quetta, Nisar told
[DAWN] Two Chinese nationals kidnapped from Quetta last month were involved in preaching instead of business activities -- their declared purpose for visiting Pakistain -- Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar was informed in a high level meeting today.
Right.
Lee Zing Yang, 24, and Meng Li Si, 26, were kidnapped from Jinnah Town Quetta on May 24 and later murdered by the Death Eater Islamic State.
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....

So, really, the ISIS guys were perfectly justified in murdering them, because preaching anything in an Islamic country carries the death sentence.
It was not immediately clear what the interior ministry suspected them of 'preaching'.
Maybe they were Rosicrucians or something.
The interior ministry confirmed the two Chinese had been killed but it was not clear if their bodies have been found.

After the briefing, the Interior Minister ordered an initial review, followed by regulation and the streamlining of the visa process to avoid the misuse of business visas by foreign nationals.

The interior minister was told that the abductees had gone to Quetta and were engaged in preaching under the garb of learning Urdu from a Korean national, Juan Won Seo, who is the owner of ARK Info Tech.

The minister was informed that the two were part of a group of Chinese citizens who obtained business visas from the Pak Embassy in Beijing and entered Pakistain.

Nisar expressed his displeasure at the laxity often shown in granting visas by Pak missions abroad. He directed all Pak missions to undertake proper scrutiny of visa application forms and acquire all necessary details before exercising their powers.

Nisar directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs be taken on board and their input be included while formulating new visa policy guidelines for issuance of visas to the foreigners on various visa categories.

At present, Chinese citizens are able to obtain visas faster than other nationals, and for longer periods when their work relates to CPEC projects.

He also called for a data bank of Chinese nationals present in the country to be maintained.

This data bank, to be prepared by National Database Registration Authority (Nadra), should be shared with all security agencies, ordered the minister in the meeting, which was attended by the secretary interior, advocate general, director general of immigration and passports, the deputy chairman Nadra and others.

The minister also said that ensuring the security of foreign nationals is a shared responsibility and that the Pak government was doing its bit to secure foreigners.

However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
he was quick to point out that the visitors held some responsibility as well, and should inform local authorities about their movements and activities.

The minister observed that it is "highly unfortunate that a misuse of the terms of business visa contributed to the unfortunate abduction and subsequent murder of two innocent Chinese".
