#1 First opportunity we get, we need to get some of our special forces back into Afghan land and start kicking some serious butt. I appreciate what our allies are doing in ISAF but wonder if they're playing things too safe. If we can't do it, perhaps the Danes could send some ~~Vikings~~ special forces in.

#3 Vikings were Norse, Danes, and Swedes. They sailed from Scandinavia in different directions (to simplify: West, South, and East). Unfortunately they've all been infected by something called "social-democracy" aka Bismarck's lutheran welfare state. Not many real Vikings left. Maybe the best ones emigrated to North America.

#5 Kalle, from what I've read the Danish armed forces haven't been bitten by the SD bug. I read a jocular, humorous account (can't find it to link, of course) about a group of Danish SF, stationed in Bosnia as peacekeepers, who got tired of being shelled by the Serb milita and took a Viking approach to solving their problem. Man, did they ever. I've also read that, among all the Euro peacekeepers, the Danes are the most-heavily armed and by far the nastiest. You don't screw with them. I like 'em already!

So send the Danes to Afghan-land, give the locals one warning, and then turn 'em loose.
