#3 An initial report was that this bird was standing next to a guy who was burying an IED at the time. My question is I wonder if he was taking stills, or if he was taking video. If it was video, I then wonder if he threw in insightful anti-US commentary.

#5 I agree with Frank, the more goods they find on this guy the more SeeBS will distance themselves from him. He will then claim to be on a secret U.S. mission to infiltrate the bad guys. It will turn out that Valarie Plame (who is a SUPER Secret CIA Under Cover spy) sent him to spy on the insurgencies.

#6 My brother's platoon shot the guy (just got the email yesterday). Insurgents had just hit a stryker with a Suicide car bomb (the strykers can usually drive away from them) with 5 injured (one with a sever head injury). The insurgents came out and celebraded when the stryker left and my brothers platoon was apparently watching over the entire thing. The cbs reporter was standing next to a insurgent with no identification. On his video is a perfect recording of the hit on the stryker. It sounds to me like this guy was imbeded with the insurgents.

One official said at least four videos in the man's camera show roadside bomb attacks on U.S. troops.

All had been shot in a manner that suggested the cameraman had prior knowledge of the attacks and had scouted a shooting location in sight of the target.

It's actually fortunate he was injured and someone was on the ball and looked at the video he shot. He (and the video) should be able to identify a lot of terrorists and their sponsors.

Mohammed al Sahaf may be out of business, but the Baathists/Mukhabaret that were under him are not. They are now just being paid by the foreign press, such as CBS.
