#7 Hit submit too soon. By keeping them on staff, it does show bad judgment. At this point there is no down side to dumping the gals while there is 100% certainty the gals will get him into more trouble.

Amanda's next sentence after that was "Youd have to justify your misogyny with another ancient mythology." This suggests that she doesn't accept the divinity of Christ or the accuracy of Scripture either.

And then John-Boy says, "I talked personally to the two women who were involved. They gave me their word they, under no circumstances, intended to denigrate any church or anybody's religion and offered their apologies for anything that indicated otherwise. I took them at their word."

Either (1) John Edwards lacks the common sense God bestowed on a rubber duck and is therefore extremely gullible, or (2) his PR staff is painfully incompetent at spin-doctoring.

Jim Geraghty has the last word: Good luck, whoever the ultimate coordinator for "Catholics For Edwards" is.

What I find particually telling is Marcotte's soft stance on women's right under Sharia law.
