#1 "Protect" bullshit,. Its more pressure on the Georgians. THey are trying to collapse a democratically elected government that is friendly to the west, and that has refused to bow to Putin's pressure.

#2 I'm really disappointed at how the opening game has played out in Georgia. The State Dept. had just alluded that Georgia can't expect much more than rhetorical support at the UN from us. We have blown a lot of street creds in Eastern Europe this week.
