#2 you notice the investigation is into whether a whisleblower was punished, not whether A,T&FU illegally ran guns to Mexican Cartels. In an interesting sidenote. Pajamas media has an article (via Instapundit) indicating that it looks like State was in competition with ATFU and DOJ. State looks to have benn directly supplying arms to the Zetas while ATFU was allowing guns to go to the Sinaloa Cartel. If I were Mexican, I'd be playing the Cut-throat song.
