I still say that, all things equal, as per "PEAK OIL/GAS/RESOURCES" the greatest single threat stems from lack of common consensus among US-World Govts + Perts - DITTO AS PER SOLAR-VS-MAN-MADE GWCC.

E.g. last month's "PEAK FLORA/TREES/WOOD" = this month's "PEAK TUNA/FISH" [again]???

#2 Article as usual omits perspective. From Wikipedia: 2011 daily world oil production was 87.5 million barrels. Of this Russia produced 10.5, Saudi Arabia 8.8, USA 7.8. No data posted for Iran more recently than 2009.
News articles always talk about prospective demand and seldom about actual production.
